just had an idea for a fluffy modern kylux au where kylo and hux are married and move into a little suburban house with their cat millicent. kylo has worked through a lot of his issues and is on better terms w his family, and hux has been healing from his own childhood trauma w years of support and therapy. they both have good jobs they enjoy and a good group of friends, and hux is the happiest he’s ever been.

but he still feels this hole in his chest whenever he thinks abt his mother. he never knew her, and brendol had told him that she had left because she didn’t want to be around hux. hux had believed it growing up but eventually came to realise that a lot of the things brendol told him weren’t true, and that his birth mother had probably fallen victim to brendol’s abuse herself.

and so despite how content he is he always has this strange mixture of sadness and curiosity sitting at the back of his mind. and the feeling only weighs on him further when he sees his husband and mother in law interacting. he loves leia of course, but he can’t shake the nagging feeling of wondering what his own mother would be like, if she would extend the same fondness and warmth to him that leia does.

one day not long after moving into their new home millie decides to explore the neighbourhood. hux, exasperated, goes looking for her, and finds her in the garden of a quiet yet polite older woman with greying red hair and sad but soft eyes.

I just searched for Brendol Hux on here, keep in mind that i have a filter for Armitage Hux due to fandom reasons so won't see anything with him also in it. I was looking to see if we had a screenshot or anything of him, for meme purposes.

The first post is someone getting pre-emptively annoyed about people maybe writing him as 'sexy' now we have an actor for him, followed by loads of posts of someone who has done exactly that and seemingly has done it for quite a while.

So anyway I didn't find a screen shot, but did find some humour which more than makes up for it

I apparently never posted the Labyrinth AU? Maybe? If I did I can’t find it. Oops

I doubt I’ll ever turn this into a fic but there’s a story summary bellow. It was kind of collectively came up with on discord. So this is not only my story anyone is welcome to do whatever they want with it.

Hux Is a theater major and his baby brother Techie is obsessed with fairytales. Hux doesn’t believe in it of course. I mean who would? but he loves his brother so every night he reads him his favorite story. The story about the goblin king. Their father Brendol thinks this is stupid. His sons shouldn’t be engaging in such foolish girly things. And after an argument in which Techie began to cry he asked the goblin king to take him away. He had no idea of course that the goblin king was real and had fallen madly in love with his eldest son Hux. when the king took Techie away Hux was furious, but his father would do nothing, not even believing the goblins were real and not caring that his youngest son was missing. So Hux set off of brave the labyrinth.

Of course Goblin King Kylo had no intention of harming the child. Techie was having fun with the King’s goblin knights. But he wanted to meet Hux and convince him to be his queen.

Hux faced many trials along the way and met many interesting characters, Like Babu Frik a worm who lived in the labyrinth. He hated the goblin king for taking his brother from him but upon meeting him in a dream like ball- he himself adorned in a magical ball gown- he could not deny the feelings he had for the strange man.

In the end he saw how happy Techie was and he decided to stay and become the Goblin queen. They would later rescue many other children from their awful parents and raise them in the goblin realm.

And whatever happened to Hux and Techie’s father? Well you see, he was tossed in the bog of eternal stench. A fate far worse than death.

May I request any Hux x Krennic headcanons you may have?

It's hard for me to imagine any romance between them (but my god, people have thought about it on the internet, it's crazy!). Therefore, I will make this headcanon as I see it. Kisses !

+ Orson doesn't like Brendol Hux. The man is a coward and he is not very brave. Everything that highlights him the most in the world.

+ However, he realizes that he has a bastard son and that this boy regularly suffers mistreatment from his father. I imagine the teenager and Krennic met by chance. Orson allegedly surprised the young man taking a look at the plans on the table at General HQ and they began to discuss what was depicted there.

+ Krennic directly noticed the bruises on the boy's arms. He grabbed his wrist and saw his startle directly. Fear. And he intends to help her never be afraid again in her life.

+ He doesn't know why, but Armitage awakens in him a strange feeling of compassion. It's as if this boy is sending him back to something inside him that he's tried to kill over the years and never succeeded.

+ Deep down, they are both similar. Rejected, but merciless. He could be the one to instill vengeance in Hux and suggest that his father died in unfortunate circumstances. + He'll never admit it, but Hux and the son he never had. He sometimes thinks about that conversation Galen tried to have with him about his future and his desire to be parents one day. Krennic does not regret having sacrificed this aspect of life for the glory he reaped. But now that time is passing, he is counting on Armitage to take care of what he leaves behind.

+ Sometimes a kind of rivalry breaks out between them. Especially when Hux reaches the upper echelons of power. Krennic has difficulty accepting that he can act on his own without being influenced.

+ They once considered murdering each other. It probably makes their bond stronger. + Starkiller would never have seen the light of day without Krennic's advice. He was the first to ensure the progress of the project and believes he had as much importance in its design as Hux.

+ It is likely that Hux will receive his cape as an inheritance in the distant future.

Ben: I've listened to a bit of Ghost, and I think they're pretty awesome! I mostly listen to Citizen Soldier and similar kinds of music though. I don't know any real instruments, but we also have a band, called The Knights of Ben.

Rey: Kazoos are real instruments!

Ben: No they're not!

Rey: Anyway, I play the guitar, and I mostly listen to pop music and a bit of rock, but I don't really limit myself to one genre.

Finn: I actually play the drums! It's pretty easy, actually. Or maybe I'm just naturally good 😎. Anyway, I kinda listen to a wide variety of music, not really one specific genre.

Poe: I really like Imagine Dragons. I know it's kinda basic, but they're music is so good, tho. I also play the keyboard!

Rose: I play bass guitar, but I used to play the flute. I'm mostly into pop, but I like a variety.

Zorii: I don't listen to a lot of music, but I'm really good at using a DJ stand.

Hux: The internet actually got this right about me, I play the saxophone! Also I sometimes play classical music in the background to help me concentrate on work.

Phasma: I've been getting into sea shanties and viking rock! I dunno why, they're just fun and energizing.

Anakin: I really like Three Days Grace, especially their song "I Am Machine". I used to play the trombone, but only the 'When Mom Isn't Home' song meme. I'm trying to learn guitar tho.

Padme: I used to be able to play the harp and piano.

Obi-Wan: I can play a few different wind instruments. My favorite is the oboe.

Rose: "Hello, little guy! Do you have a name?”

Armitage: “I considered RA3, but then again, an R-name for a BB-droid is silly.”

Rose: “RA3... That stands for Rae. After Rae Sloane, the First Order’s founder?"

Armitage: "She was my mentor, back when we started rebuilding the empire. Said this time we'd do it right. I'm pretty sure Snoke had her killed, yet I had nothing better in mind than to follow his banner...

When Ben killed Snoke, and I proclaimed myself the new Supreme Leader, I thought things had come full circle. Well, I was wrong about that. But I like to imagine that Rae would approve of what I’m doing here and how I’m doing it."

It had been, how long exactly? Three seasons? Since Rose had heard Armitage claim that people and equipment were interchangeable to him. Resources either way.

An odd side effect of this conviction had been him accepting BB-8 as an equal teammember pretty quickly (as early as their trip to Komorebi, actually).

Rose: “Droids are still seen as something closer to pets than to people. If you wish to pass your mentor’s name down, and do it in earnest, you should consider saving it for a baby.”

Armitage: “A ba... by.”

Yeah, right. He should have known that five minutes without complications were a glitch in the fabric of the universe. A baby! Not that Armitage was averse to the idea of becoming a father, to the contrary, he had a long list of improved parenting techniques (the majority of which consisted of doing the direct opposite of what Brendol would have done) that he was ready to test in practise. 

But having a child meant trying for one first. Repeatedly, probably.

Back on Ryloth, when he had been part of that unlikely threemating with Finn and Poe, Finn had been Poe’s main course, and Armitage the desert or the seasoning. It had been pleasant.

To the contrary in a committed couple the husband was expected to be the main course all the time. The idea of such frequent intercourse was not just not appealing, it actively scared the husband-to-be, and this particular fear wasn’t one of the kind one could train onesself out of. It was part of Armitage’s nature that he could change as little as his eye color.

His low sex drive had always been one of the many factors that had contributed to Armitage feeling superior over his agemates. He wasn’t just more calculated, determined and patient than the other officer cadets, he had literally been BORN better! But now all of a sudden this trait had become a liability.

Rose: “You do want children, right? I always figured you’d want. I just never brought it up, because I was uncertain myself. But then Lt. Dree’s little Jin toddled our way and I knew, yes, being a parent would be nice.”

Armitage: “Uh-huh... Nothing to be anxious about.”

Rose: “But don’t get ideas! Even if there wasn’t a war ongoing, it’s not that I’d want to start immediately!”

Armitage: “Heh, good. Although the mental image of us chasing criminals with baby carriers on our backs sure is something...”

Rose: “On our backs? You’ll want the rugrat front-carried to maximize the spit-range, haha! - Now back to work with you! I’ll babysit B3-RY.”

Armitage: I have to bring this up rather sooner than later...  But I’d rather surrender to the Resistance for real, because once I tell Rose, it’ll be over.

Needless to say, it wasn’t the best day for the organized crime.

Introducing my OC: The daughter of General Hux and Captain Phasma! I haven't gotten to this part of my fanfic universe yet, but I wanted to show people my awesome OC.

Full Name: Brienne Gwendoline Hux (yes, she was named after Brienne of Tarth and Gwendoline Christie. In my AU the characters and the actors are separate people and they're all good friends with eachother, almost to the point of being siblings. Hux and Phasma also thought the name had an air of strength and sophistication to it, so yeah).

Homeworld(s): Arkanis, Parnassos (in my AU, at this point they're working on making Parnassos habitable again, and had made significant progress by the time she was born, so she considers both planets her home planet, even though she mostly only goes to Parnassos for family functions and vacations).

Time Period: Post-Sequel Era.

Relationship With Family: 

Parents: Bri loves her parents very much, and strives to make them proud, but this pressure can sometimes get to her head (This makes her similar to her cousin-figure, Hope). Her father doesn't want her to be pressured, and doesn't need her to be the best at anything in order to earn and maintain his love. Hux doesn't want his daughter to end up like him, and doesn't want her to resent him like he resents his father. Bri knows this, and doesn't resent her father one bit, but still feels pressured to be the best. Phasma spoils Bri a little, but makes sure she doesnt take it for granted: after all, Phasma didn't have any of the luxuries Bri has growing up. Phasma makes sure Bri knows how to protect herself, and Hux is always happy to help her with her homework. They're both very protective of her, as she is their only child and they don't want to lose her (they dont exactly baby her, but sometimes it can feel that way). They're not the 'rub some dirt in it' kind of parents when she gets hurt. Instead they make sure she's okay and patch her up (or if Auntie Siv is around, have her patch her up), always reminding her that what doesn't kill her only makes her stronger. 

Grandfather: Bri resents her grandfather for bullying and abusing her father. She wishes he stayed dead after her parents killed him the first time. Brendol keeps trying to insert himself into her life so he can manipulate her, but Bri and her family are having none of it. 

Grandmother-figure: ​​​​Bri looks up to Rae Sloane, and aspires to be strong and confident like her and Phasma. She also appreciates her for looking out for her father. Rae is more of a grandmother to Bri than both of her father's biological parents combined.

Uncle Keldo: ​​​Keldo is a lot more cautious and less violent than Phasma, and tries to instill these values in Bri. However, he must acknowledge that it is better to be prepared for violence, and have it not occur, than naively assume it won't happen. This is something he has learned from Phasma; its better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war (I saw that quote on Pinterest somewhere). 

Other Aunts and Uncles: Bri is very close with the entire Scyre clan, and they all dote on her, like they did for Frey. The rest of her aunts and uncles love her, and Finn especially loves telling Bri the story about how he threw her mom in the trash compactor. Phasma jokes that Finn is actually Bri's brother, which Finn hates (Bri also jokes about Finn being her brother, just to mess with him, but Finn definitely takes on a more Uncle role for her). Torben would give her piggy back rides when she was little, and can still pull it off as she gets older. Siv was usually the one to patch her up when she scraped her knee or got other injuries while visiting Parnassos.

Cousins/Cousin Figures: (Also for AU info Frey got reset to 5 when she was resurrected and Torbi got set to 3, because idk fanfiction logic). Bri looks up to Frey very much, and admires her greatly. Frey, in turn, admires her Aunt Phasma, so it's a familial zig-zag of admiration (that probably sounds stupid, lol). Frey teaches Bri how to stand up for herself and how to be confident. Bri and Torbi would play a lot with Frey growing up (or for Frey and Torbi, growing up again) and would go on 'adventures' exploring the woods surrounding the Hux estate on Arkanis, or the rocky spires of the Scyre Territory on Parnassos. They never went too far, though, at least not without an adult. Frey knew better than to wander too far from the safety of adults, and she wasn't about to put her little cousins in danger. At least, not on purpose.

-There was one incident where, while exploring the woods surrounding the Hux estate, the girls lost track of time, and before they knew it, it was dark. They got lost, and Frey ended up starting a fire to keep everyone warm while they figured out how to get back. Thankfully, they weren't gone too long, as Phasma went out and rescued the girls. She wasn't mad, but told all three girls to keep better track of time next time.

Anyway, Bri is also really close with the rest of the Sequel Squad's kids, espscially her older cousin-figure Hope Solo. They both feel they have a lot to live up to with their parents being who they are, and as they grow up, they learn from experience and eachother to not let the pressure get to them.

Friends: Frey, Torbi, all the Sequel-Squad kids. They grew up together, so it only makes sense.

Enemies: Snoke, Palps, Grampa Brendol (as she calls her paternal grandfather), Captain Cardinal.

Reason for being enemies: Snoke and Palps should be a no-brainer, for all the stuff they did to the galaxy and her family and friends. Brendol because of all the horrible things he's done to her father. Cardinal because of all the stuff he did to her mother's family as 'revenge' against Phasma (I'd recommend reading my fanfic "Star Wars Academy" to get more context, not just for this but the whole AU:

Lover: N/A (Hux and Phasma joke that she's not allowed to date until she's 30).

Appearance: Curly red hair (because any Hux must have red hair, IT'S THE LAW) that goes to about her shoulder blades. Usually she leaves it down or in a low ponytail. Sky blue eyes, with a very intense stare (like her mom). Pale skin with freckles sprinkled across her cheeks. She's about 6'2, right between her parents in height, so she's pretty tall. She's got an Amazonian build, much like her mother.

Usual Clothes: Black tanktop, fingerless gloves, armband with Norse runes (to call back to the Scyre Clan being partly inspired by viking culture). Gray camo pants with lots of pockets (to fit all your weapons, of course!), Black Combat boots. Belt with a holster for a blaster and pockets for knives (her mother taught her there's no such thing as too many weapons). On cooler days she'll wear a long sleeve black shirt and/or a black sweater. 

Accessories: Chromium cuff bracelets (think Wonder Woman's bulletproof bracelets). Pearl earrings. 

Tattoos/Birthmarks/Freckles/Moles/Scars: Freckles sprinkled across her cheeks, a few stray scars from various childhood adventures, mostly on/around her elbows and knees, with a few on her hands as well. One notable scar is on the side of her lower right leg, from scraping it really bad on one of the rocky spires on Parnassos (it ended up needing stitches, thankfully Siv wasn't too far). She has another faint one on her left cheek from falling face-first on the ground, also on Parnassos. Later on she sustains some more scars on other parts of her body from the occasional skirmishes. Phasma calls Bri's scars her 'battle scars'. 

Abilities: Bri has been trained in a variety of weapons by her mother, and seems to be best with knives. She's very skilled with blasters as well. She's also skilled at hand-to-hand combat to the point where she can break bones with her bare hands if her opponent isnt careful. She's also fairly academically smart, thanks to her father, and well-versed in battle strategy.

Personality: Bri is a very loud and bold person, and is very confident and sassy. She's quick-witted and headstrong. But deep down, she is also insecure about her abilities, and is a major perfectionist. She is always striving for perfection, and can burn herself out if she isn't stopped. She'll spend all night studying or practicing or working out, and one or both of her parents have to get her to go to bed. Sometimes her desire to prove herself can lead her to be reckless and bite off more than she can chew, and either her parents or some other family member need to come rescue her, which only furthers her insecurity. But as she and her cousin Hope grow older, they both learn to overcome their insecurities, partly from eachother. 

Introvert/Extrovert/Ambivert: Extrovert. 

Good Traits: Confident, quick-witted, headstrong, independent, smart, proud, reliable, brave, loyal, observant (especially in combat, i.e. scanning for weaknesses), hard working, 

Bad Traits: Insecure, perfectionist, a bit reckless, overly-independent, loud, sassy (sometimes coming off as sarcastic), a bit impulsive, impatient, can sometimes come off as aggressive when she's angry, overworker.

Likes: The outdoors, rock-climbing, exploring, boxing (she ends up on her school's female boxing team in her teenage years, and later becomes captain of the team, and yes, that is a reference to her mother's rank in the war), being independent and self-sufficient, action movies, history books, especially war stories, seafood, shiny things.

Dislikes: Losing her independence, failure, being not good enough, bullies, stormtrooper helmets (they block her vision, she doesnt understand how her mom could work in them), needles (not necessarily a fear, just a dislike),

Strengths: Being physically fit, she is skilled in both armed and hand-to-hand combat. She's also well-versed in battle strategy, and fairly academically intelligent.

Weaknesses: Her need to prove herself can cause her to be reckless, which can get her into trouble. Her overconfidence is her weakness (yes, that is another reference), leading her to take on more than she is capable of. She overworks to the point of being harmful.

Hobbies: Hiking, rock and tree climbing, boxing, target-practicing (blasters, throwing knives, bow & arrow, you name it), reading,

Fun Facts:

-Rumor has it her first word was 'murder'. She and her parents neither confirm nor deny this.

-When she was little she called Frey 'Frey-Frey', which everyone finds super cute.

-She's inherited her mom's appreciation for shiny things.

-She's also a major cat person (of course).

-When she was first brought home from the hospital, Millicent looked at her curiously, and then did that super cute forehead-touch thing. Immediate connection, and it's adorable.

This is highly just my own interpretation, and a bit incomprehensible because tired brain all the time and I'm just having fun here, but -- thinking again about Hux's legacy and how he carries his father's name, like I briefly mentioned in this post. Armitage wants to be remembered, he desperately wants to be recognized and lauded in history for his accomplishments -- but that's a loaded sentiment, because he carries his father's surname. And it will always be more than just a name. Until everyone who knew Brendol and young Armitage is dead, Armitage Hux will always on some level be Brendol Hux's son.

Everything about Brendol and Armitage's parent-child relationship is contradictory. Armitage was an unwanted child, but yet Brendol also refused to let him go, refused to leave him with his mother and refused to abandon him on Arkanis. Brendol hated, rejected, and abused his son but yet viciously molded him towards his own values and ends. Brendol saw him as weak and yet refused to cull him like Brendol had so many others. And I think that's a significant part of why Armitage is so trapped between despising his father, rightfully, but also always subconsciously, obsessively trying to prove himself worthy of his father's hypothetical respect, approval, love -- even, irrationally, after his father is dead. [I really believe that's part of what was going through Armitage's head as he watched Starkiller fire. Like, I've done it. Are you proud of me, father? energy. Which is of course chasing the impossible.] There's both deep shame and deep pride, or want of pride, in Hux's name and legacy.

[On the side: I personally very much reject the idea that Hux was carried by nepotism via his father. Armitage's association with Brendol will always be lose/lose for him. If an officer is partial to Brendol, then they likely legitimize Brendol's abuse and hatred of his son and extend that to Armitage. If they dislike Brendol, since Imperials don't exactly have sympathetic tendencies they likely also dislike his son and believe in the nepotism angle. Further, Brendol's abuse of his son is no secret, which is humiliating for Armitage in this sort of setting. Some officers may tell themselves that nepotism carried Armitage to stroke their own egos, but I believe the reality is that the legacy of Hux's name has done nothing but hinder him every step of the way, something he's had to actively fight against his whole life -- again, contradictingly, as Armitage is yet still always trying to prove himself to his father. If anything, I'm much more wiling to believe nepotism is only a legitimate accusation with Sloane.]

Edit: Or maybe she told him things that she thought were being helpful, but in reality were only encouraging him to suck it up and just keep allowing people to hurt him both psychologically and physically. Things like "Stay strong. Don't let him get to you."
