Hi Evie! 

God, I’m so sorry it’s been so long. Life is chaotic. I’m doing stuff all the time and I really haven’t had a minute. 

College is great. It’s intense. It’s so different to what I expected, although now that I’m saying it, I’m not sure what I expected at all. I’m not sure that I really thought about what it was going to be like. 

There’s art, obviously, a lot of it, and all of the time. We have drawing classes and painting classes, classes about composition, sculpture, art history and theory, and other stuff too that I can’t even recall off the top of my head. We were on a trip last week, out across the city drawing buildings and things like that, and it’s given me this new appreciation for how interesting Berlin really is. I’m learning about all of this history, and then recording it on the page by drawing it. I can’t really overstate how amazing it is to be surrounded by so many people who love art the same way that I do, and I’m thinking about you when I’m living my life like this, about how much you’re going to love it when you’re finally free from Tullamore, and you can go to art college. You’re going to have the best years of your life, so don’t worry about all that’s going on at school right now, and with Kelly and whatever. Things are going to get so much better. 

I go out a lot these days. Drinking, yes, but it’s not really like the way that we used to party and drink in Dublin at all. It’s so much more vibrant and fun, and there are all of these amazing bars and clubs with different themes. I got out with my friends like, three or four times a week, and sometimes I don’t even drink, I just dance, and that’s enough. I meet plenty of interesting people when I’m out, too. There’s always someone new to get to know. 

We did go to this club last week, though, it’s famous. Berghain. Jonas and some of the others like techno, which I’m not sure about yet, and sometimes they go there to dance. It’s open a few days a week, and you can go literally any time of the day, which is crazy. I mean, you can go in at seven in the morning if you want to, and you can get lost in there for three days. Jonas told me all these stories about the kinds of things you can do and… I don’t know if I want to repeat it. I honestly feel like you wouldn’t want to know. 

I mentioned we went, but really, they went. As in, some of our friends. Not me. Apparently, the bouncers are really strict about who goes inside. Jonas explained something about needing to have the right “vibe”, which sounds insane, but anyway. I have the wrong “vibe”, because the bouncers saw me and my friend Elias in the queue and they yelled “No!” at us from, like, a twenty metre distance, haha. It’s fine. We went to another club instead, and we had fun and met some more cool people, so I can’t complain. 

I also can’t say I’m not curious about what it’s like to get into Berghain… Maybe one day. If I do, you’ll be the first to know, and I’ll share all the crazy details when I’ve experienced it. I think the day I get in is the day I can say I’m a real Berliner. 

It’s Halloween soon, and I’ve recently learned that they don’t celebrate it here. Can you believe it? I hope you’ll be doing something fun, at least, to make up for my loss. Send me a picture of your costume if you are! I have a feeling you’ll come up with something dead creative, because you’re good with your hands. I think I remember seeing a picture of you dressed as a bee on your Facebook? Am I mixing you up with someone else? I don’t think so. It was so cool. 

Shane is coming to visit next weekend. Did he tell you that? It’s half term, or reading week, or whatever they call it now. I would have mentioned it to you before, but he’s coming with some college friends on a boys trip. I didn’t think you’d be up for coming. I think they’ve booked this dingy hostel somewhere, and I just can’t imagine it being your thing. Especially with you still being seventeen and all of that, it’s like, you wouldn’t be allowed in to any of the clubs and bars. You should come in the spring, though! That’d be fun. Maybe if you wanted to plan a trip for your 18th?

I feel like I just spewed a load of information on you there, sorry. I should have emailed you earlier, but I’ve had this project due, and when I’m not socialising I’m working on it.

Beacon Hills had finally achieved peace, everything was normal well as normal as it could be in Beacon Hills.

Everyone is an grownup now out of high school and exploring the world, Scott was at Derek’s new house and as he walked in he saw Peter “Hey” Peter’s waved.

“I was just here to see if Derek had any ideas of fun places to visit” Peter smiled “I know a place” Scott looked at Peter “Really?” Peter nodded “It’s called the river, a bunch of supernaturals go there” Scott raised an eyebrow.

“You mean like all the ones we’ve encountered” Peter shook his head “No Scott but the club is peaceful, no one gets hurt” Scott nodded “Can you tell me where it is” Peter handed Scott a card.

Scott made his way to the club and he eventually found an entrance with a bouncer at the entrance, Scott walked up “Are you here for partying or pleasure?”

Scott looked at the bouncer “What do you mean by pleasure” the bouncer looked at Scott “Sex with one of our half sex demons” Scott blushed and then thought about it…he hadn’t had sex in a while.

“Pleasure” The bouncer grabbed Scott’s hand and put a red mark on his hand and pointed at another man “That’s Shane, he’ll please you tonight.”

After Scott and Shane got into the private room, Shane walked over to Scott and started kissing him and Scott kissed back as they kissed, Scott felt his dick getting hard.

Shane pulled off Scott’s shirt and threw him on the bed, Shane hopped on top of Scott.

Shane started to kiss Scott’s stomach going up until he reached Scott’s chest, Shane started to suck on Scott’s nipples.

Scott gasped, he couldn’t believe the pure pleasure he was in at the moment.

Shane pulled off, Scott’s pants and started to give Scott a blow job, Shane’s head was like a basketball going up and down.

Scott was moaning, then Shane’s arm went up and reached Scott’s chest and started to play with one of Scott’s nipples.

Scott was a moaning mess as Shane continued, Scott felt himself reaching his climax.

“I’m…gonna” Scott good barley speak as Shane was very good at what he was doing so he didn’t stop, Scott hit his climax and shot his load down Shane’s throat.

Which Shane swallowed and got up and looked at Scott was panting heavily “First time with a sex demon?” Scott couldn’t even speak he just nodded.

Dark alleys don’t bother Shane Barrett anymore. 

They used to, when he was a kid running home from wrestling practice. Some of his teammates used to tease him for it. He was the tallest and biggest in his class, at least until they’d switched the high schools into one building when he was in tenth grade, but he always refused to take the shortcut that would have saved him a twenty-minute trip home. 

There was something about the shadows that scared him, that some instinctive part of him knew to stay away from.

He wishes his instincts had been a little more accurate about what to be afraid of. Because danger had never found him in a dingy shortcut, never leaped out at him from behind an overflowing dumpster. It had walked up to him holding a red Solo cup and laughing in a room full of neon lights and crowded with witnesses.

So he’s not afraid of alleys anymore.

It’s a good thing, too, because the fastest way from his and Sierra’s shared apartment to the Luna Club is mostly composed of them. It’s not like they live in the best part of town to start with (they can’t afford it even with both their paychecks, and Shay wouldn’t be allowed in most of the buildings, and even if he was, he’d be looked at like a ticking time bomb), and the club’s district is no better. 

Usually, Sierra drops him off on the way to work, given a hunter and a vamp club bouncer’s schedules line up pretty well (or he’s on his way to Chimera too if a case needs them all hands on deck). But after the fight they just had, there’s no chance a ride will be anything but strained silences or a continuation of the sharp words flung back and forth between them. 

They both need space. Sierra needs a chance to drive to work alone, turning her radio up to a volume that would make Shay curl into his seat in agony and blasting her screaming rock mixtape at full volume. And he needs to walk in the dark.

Not that it’s dark to him. He can see perfectly fine, even as the sky edges away from the red shades of evening to replace them with the indigo and gold of city nights. 

There’s someone ahead of him in the alley. Leaning on a wall, smoking a cigarette he can smell from where he is. A stray ray of the last sunlight catches on her hair, and for a moment, it turns the crimson of fresh blood, of a cup of terribly mixed frat house punch, of the age-old human knowledge of something dangerous and deadly. Something bred as deep in the bones as the fear of dark places. 

It can’t be her.

But even as he turns, to avoid the corner, to find another way, he knows it is.

He can feel her. 

He’s felt her for days. It’s her voice that’s haunted his dreams, crept into the cracks in his thoughts, sharpened his words and raised his defenses like the darkness used to. 

She turns, the only red still illuminating her the faint glow of the end of the cigarette she tosses in a flickering arc to the ground and smashes under the heel of her boot. 

She still looks like she did nearly twenty years ago. 

“You came,” she says, voice smooth and velvet with the sharpness of a knife hidden somewhere in its depths.

He’s not thinking like himself. He doesn’t think like this. She’s in his head.

She has been for hours. Days.

Maybe weeks.

He needs to run.

But he can’t. 

“I knew you would,” she says. “I just had to tear you away from that human.” Her lip curls in disgust. “But I’ll make sure you’re free of her. Then it will be just us. Forever.”

Somehow, some part of him can still register that she’s lying. That she’s said this to a hundred people just like him, over centuries of cruelty and conniving and selfish lust. 

But he still can’t run.

She moves toward him, a shadow peeling itself from the dark wall and taking on physical form. A combination of crimson and pitch darkness. Fear itself taking form.

He hates that he sees her how she sees herself.

That her voice twists his thoughts and turns them into her lyrical, entrancing phrases.

That he can’t push her out, because by the time he saw her, it was too late.

It was so much too late.

That he didn’t see his short temper, his flashes of anger, of fear, for what they were.

That he let her tear him and Sierra apart.

That whatever happens next, it’s his fault.

The club had been touted as one of the 'hot spots' by the locals she'd talked to earlier that afternoon but -- maybe she was just a little biased, given some of the places (legal and illicit, human and most decidedly not) that she'd spent time in after hours around the world -- but it had definitely fallen short of her high hopes. She might've called it an early night, or gone in search of somewhere more exciting... if it hadn't been for the bouncer who was, quite frankly, the most interesting thing in the place.

She'd watched him, watched the way he moved, the way he spoke, the people he watched in turn, until the night had finally dragged itself closer to closing hour. An exorbitant tip had secured her a bottle of top shelf whiskey and a couple of glasses (rules could often be ignored, for the right price - she'd learned that early on) that she'd tucked into her bag and slipped out of the bar as last call came and went.

She was waiting for him, perched cross legged on his motorcycle, the two glasses resting on one knee, the bottle balanced beside her, a grin forming as she watched him approach when he'd finally made his way out of the club. "I know it's not your drink of choice --" An eyebrow danced upwards, amusement and interest bright in her gaze. "But I thought it'd be a good start."

Chapter Thirteen (Part 2)

“Well, couldn’t have let you starve.” He holds the door open for me and I slip through it under his arm. It’s snowing again, and freezing flakes start landing instantly on my face. I shove my hands into my pockets as we walk together, but I can’t help but marvel at how bright the sky looks. Even though it’s well past midnight now the brilliant white carpet laid over the city reflects back into the sky making it look the same way that it does in the middle of summer on those impossibly long days when the sun never quite dips all the way below the horizon. 

“It’s been nice to see you again.” Jude says. “You know, I’ve missed talking to you.” 

I dig my chin into the collar of my coat to warm up my face with my breath. “Yeah.” I say. “You know, I really didn’t think it’d be so easy to talk to you after so long.”

“Let’s not leave it so long next time. I want to be your friend again.”

I blink, taken aback by the directness of his words. “You do?”

“Yeah, of course, I always felt like we kinda clicked.”

I laugh with incredulity. “Okay, well, you’re going to have to email back this time then.”

He looks at me and his eyes crinkle up. “Oh, sorry, but I definitely won’t. I’ve already proved to you that I’m horrible with communication. You’re going to have to wrangle me with a phone call.”

“Oh, well now you’re just making this sound like too much work… Who calls anyone anymore? You’re like some relic from the nineties.”

“Come on, me, I call people, in fact, it’s probably the only sure-fire way to access me at all. At least then you’ll know when I’m coming back to Dublin and maybe someday if you wanted to you could visit me in Berlin.” 

“Hmm.”

“And you’ll love Berlin.” He swears. “You’ll love my friends and the things that we do, it’s not all about drinking all of the time, there’s so much else. And the restaurants, you can have any food you want, anything in the world…”

“You’re really trying to sell it to me here, I get it. Berlin’s the best…”

“Just, here…” He holds out his hand expectantly and I stare at it until he clarifies. “Your phone please, Evie.” I dig it out of my pocket and give it to him. He starts typing something, and when he hands it back to me I see he’s put two things into my notes app. 

“The first one is my German number.” He explains. “And if you don’t have a roaming plan on your phone, that second thing is my skype name. You can call me for free.”

“Okay, well, you know where to find me…” I give him a side-eyed glance “…unless you’ve already deleted my details.”

“Never.” He says. “I still have your number.” 

“Okay then, but I won’t be surprised if I never hear from you.”

“You will.”

I don’t believe him. 

We reach the bar then and head back inside where my face is flushed with a sudden blast of warm air. The private area is nearly empty now with  just a few stragglers left, including Shane, Claire and Jen waiting forlornly around the table. Claire perks up when she sees us. “Oh you’re back, finally.” She breathes. “We really wanted to leave.”

“Where’s Marnie and Dean?” I ask her. 

“He and his friends got thrown out by the bouncers, and then Marnie and the brown haired girl went with them. It was about half an hour ago.”

“It was fun to watch.” Says Shane caustically. “He could hardly even walk.”

I give him a tight smile, trying to hide the deepest shame I have possibly ever felt. I keep picturing his face, Claire’s face, and even Jen’s face when they saw Dean. The shock and disgust in their expressions. It feels like shock and disgust at my decisions, at the choices I’ve made and the people I’ve chosen to spend my time with. I feel a second wave of shame when I think of the things Marnie said to Jude, and the way he just laughed her off like she was pathetic, like she doesn’t have any power I’ve been allowing her after all.  As I look over the small group left in this bar, I realise that Marnie would never have waited for me to come back from the takeaway, she would have left me here on my own, but here are Claire and Shane and Jen who sat out their boredom just so they could make sure I wouldn’t be left alone at my own birthday party.

Then I take Claire’s arm. “Well, I suppose we better get going, so. Thanks so much for coming, this was really really nice.”

“Yeah, for sure.” Jen says to me. “I’d love to catch up with you again sometime.”

“I’d like that too.” I say. 

“Summer.” She says. “When Jude comes back again in June I’ll have you over for a movie, we can all spend time having a proper catch up.”

“Yeah, absolutely.”

“Come on, let’s all walk out together.” And so we do, we all head out onto the snowy streets and when we’re ready to leave everybody starts hugging each other goodbye. When it’s my turn to hug Jude I try not to linger in his arms for too long, and I don’t know how to say goodbye to him again so I step back from him and raise one hand in an awkward wave. “Safe trip home.” I say.

“Don’t be a stranger.”

“You don’t.”

“I wouldn’t, not again.”

And then Shane, Claire and I walk away from him together without looking back. 

And that’s that. After a year and a half, we’ve run into each other again, we’ve talked, we’ve caught up and filled in the blanks and now it’s over, he’s gone, and my life will go back to the way it used to be. I have no hope in my mind that I’ll hear from him, and I wonder if it’s for the best that I don’t. He won’t call. The movie night at Jen’s house won’t happen, and maybe we won’t run into each other for a year, two years, maybe more. Or maybe, I think to myself as I trudge through the snow, maybe we’ll never see each other ever again.

First of all, shout out to the bouncer at Shebar who was guarding the entrance to the VIP room that time Shane had a three-way with Dawn and Cindi. There was almost certainly some oral sex happening in there when he prevented Bette from interrupting them. Anyway...

I've been wanting to rewatch The L Word for ages and finally started today. One thing I remember thinking during my original watch was that the women were always interrupted or caught whenever oral sex happened onscreen, which is kind of weird for a show about lesbians. So I decided to keep track this time.

In episode 1.1 "Pilot" the fertility doctor tells Bette and Tina that the insemination is more likely to take if Tina is aroused, and leaves the room. Bette reluctanly goes down on Tina under her paper gown but the doctor knocks on the door because the sample they got from their artist friend isn't viable.

I created Shane 5 years ago now, in February it will be 6 years so... So I might as well say that this little guy has been through a lot! I wrote a story about him and his husband, a story that I shared on another platform, but which had a good number of chapters (more than 60, if I want to be precise). I've exposed him a lot everywhere, but I haven't talked about him much here... So, I thought I would give here some more info about my favorite sim, who is also the most complete character I could make (at the same time, with 5 years of existence, if his story wasn't rich, there is a problem 😂)

-At the very beginning, he is straight. Before marrying Nolan, he was even in a relationship with Nolan's older sister. -He was born from a rape. His mother was 16 years old when she got pregnant with him, she was in a relationship with the father of the child, but he forced a report after drugging her. When the teenager found out about the pregnancy, the father abandoned him. As a result, Shane never had a fatherly presence, he didn't want to know anything about him either, all he knew was that he had inherited his gray eyes (which he hates...) and that the more he grew up, the more he looked like his father. -In spite of himself, his father has always been his greatest inner and invisible demon. And learning the circumstances of his birth had really destroyed him... However, he met his father by pure chance many years later (at 23 years old, he is now 25). It's enough to say that it's quite tense between them, even if since then, they have been able to get closer following some events... -He was a street fighter in a group during his late teens and early adulthood (at 14, he was doing karate and boxing, so that helped a lot!) -He quit school at 16 -He did several jobs, like worker, bouncer in a night club, maintenance man, model, etc... Today he is back on the construction site. -He was born on october 25th, so he is a scorpion... And yes, he is a little pervert! (he calls his crotch "the cobra" 😅😂) -He always assumes everything, even his worst nonsense. -He pierced his own lip! -He can play the guitar and more recently he learned the piano as well. -He has a brother at heart named Urian, a 42 year old man of Greek-Russian origin with whom he works. He calls him "Papa Bear" or "Big Ass".

Anyway, I don't know if this information is interesting for you, or if you just wanted to know him a bit more... But it's done anyway! Sorry for my broken English, I'm not an English speaker at all, it's not even my second language (I'm Belgian, so I might as well say that English is not the language you learn automatically 😅), so I helped myself with a translator... I hope it doesn't look too weird, but in any case, sorry for that 😅
