Never getting over Fulcrum being a project manager...

Idk why, but something about that is so funny to me. Not just because the title of "project manager" is inherently kinda funny for a Decepticon, but also because-

1. It's vague sounding and hard to explain irl because it technically exists in multiple fields, like healthcare or manufacturing, which surely translates into canon in some way.

2. In canon, it's simultaneously a really mundane, innocuous sounding job, yet it's also a super morally awful position to reside over depending on the context. (*cough* forced colonization and cyberforming *cough*)

And 3. It solidifies the fact that behind all the surface level militaristic work we get with both the Decepticons and Autobots, there's also Cons and Bots with "normal" jobs in both factions.

Like, sure yeah we get scientists and doctors, engineers and programmers, but usually in big important or warfront positions. (For plot reasons, understandably.) But it's also really funny and interesting to think of those that worked background positions, or minor jobs.

Like an Autobot working in their equivalent of an HR department, or a Decepticon who runs one of their outpost's or starship's kitchens.

Just all the pre-war jobs that didn't just disappear with the war, but instead evolved to exist within the factions.

It's particularly funny with the Decepticons though, because it could be a super mundane job or situation, but because it's them, it has to have an air of ~e v i l~ to it, either legitimately and/or merely for the vibes, like Tarn's "performance reviews".

#theres this one comedy thing. a think its from that like. puppet comedian dude??? cant remember the name rn-#-buts theres a bit about a person in the crowd being a project manager and how silly the job sounds #at some point the person the project manager is with gets pointed out when the comedian asks smth along the lines of-#-''is he a project you're managing? he looks pretty managed to me.'' smth smth. thats fulcrum and the scavs to me #idw fulcrum #fulcrum #mtmte #tf idw #idw tarn #tarn #transformers #maccadam #Decepticons being cartoonishly evil while doing mundane shit will never not be funny to me #'i need to send an evil email to my evil boss about an evil supply chain issue involving my evil workers evil rations and evil mail'#<- fulcrum #sorry. yes he is a tragic yet simultaneously silly guy. but i will never not shut up about his stupid awful job #''he's a project manager!'' oh yay :D! ''he's overseeing the destruction and forced cyberformation of a whole planet'' ...what #not saying he deserved being turned into a bomb. but i think a solid uhh maybe 1000+ organics get a free chance to spit on him or smth #get his ass lmao. i swear hes one of my favs. its just he is objectively an asshole. and i must speak on it bcs i love him #sort of unrelated. but along the same vein of jobs and positions in the Decepticons. ive been trying to puzzle out Krok and Fulcrum's ranks #and. it might not be accurate. idk what sort of ranking system bullshit is going on in canon. so im going off what i know #but. im figuring krok was some sort of warrant-esque officer? aka. he was a general solider. who worked his way up through skill to NCO-#-then specialized in strategy to the point of becoming a warrant officer for strategy and studies. so. higher than NCO but lower than CO #so on the other hand. fulcrum is a CO. bcs he wasnt a solider. he was a technician. but also in advanced management. so. CO???#for irl comparison. NCO/Warrant = worked towards over time from low ranks. CO = fast tracked bcs of formal education or smth #(take the irl comparison with a grain of salt. im not an expert on that shit. i just considered becoming a CO bcs of pressure once)#((CO in this context stands for commissioned officer. not commanding officer btw. so. its like management shit))#(not that i think cons have commissions or anything. just using the terminology as a place holder or smth ig)#who outranks who is debatable bcs canon doesn't specify rank. but if going off this as a basis. fulc would outrank krok by a technicality #but. assumedly. battle experience is seen as more impressive and noteworthy to cons. so its more likely krok outranked fulc bcs of that

love talking to or seeing videos from other hsr players who focus on gameplay. idk what a main is. i don't have a team i use all the time. i have all 9 team slots filled and i gave my husband psychic damage when he saw it. one of them is called "i like them" and it's genuinely just 4 characters i like bc i think they're neat (apparently they're considered shitty when it comes to gameplay too). i don't understand a thing that anyone here is saying god bless

#also btw. that piedmon fight is stupid as hell.#who thought it’d be a good idea to put you up against a mega when you only have access to Agumon and your misc recruited digimon.#like he was already a tough fight when I did have all my guys. how the hell am I supposed to fight a guy that ONE SHOTS triceramon???#literally only fight I had to switch to easy mode to beat. and even then I came somewhat close to losing.#had to use the strategy of relying on angewomon to deal damage and giving zudomon a vex crystal so the kiwimon would focus on him instead.#also had a weregarurumon with holy knuckle or whatever it’s called but. he got one shot before he got a hit in -_-#and this shit was after grinding them all up to be at least level 30 #which I mean. to be fair is kinda low but also in my defense the only one of my the digimon I regularly use that aren’t partners #is angewomon. cause she’ll be a Holydramon as soon as I’m able to make her one <3 #but like… angewomon and agumon are both high 40s. all of my partnered digimon are high 40s. is that?? low for this point in the game?? i #admittedly don’t do free battles too often….#idk I’m confused free battle encounters are 20 and bosses are 30 so like. I’d THINK high 40s would be fine??#dramon thoughts #roseate plays survive

wild how addicted i am to nuzlocking now lol i expect this period will abruptly end at some point in the future but i was like "lemme just finish inclement emerald so I can drop this fixation and do other things" ... then promptly started renegade platinum instead of doin anything else.

sidenote after radical red (and to a lesser extent, inclement emerald), all other games feel like torture for nuzlocking. it's absurd how much time proper level grinding takes without infinite rare candies/auto cap function. like there are tons of other great QOL features i got spoiled by in those roms (especially radred) and I know renegade platinum is a good bit older so it makes sense that it's different. but i'm like i surely hope everyone who makes romhacks now just makes at least an optional setting for infinite candies and infinite repels at the bare minimum. those features alone make the game feel so much better.

#personally i also realllly really liked the ability to turn off EVS #as well as a toggle to automatically get supplied with farmable items #as well as infinite move relearns/nature changes #however I can recognize that some hacks are purposefully designed around stuff like nature changes and iv changes being a limited resource #so i don't mind those being left out purposefully #but RR minimal grinding mode just made me go like #'oh yeah i could see myself nuzlocking hard games if it's like THIS'#it lets you get down to the actual DIFFICULTY of strategy #and not just lose to things like not being leveled enough or taking the time to meticulously EV train #which takes AGES for you to do but all the enemy trainers have perfect spreads #anyways it's funny that renplat still has good QOL over base games #like 'infinite' TMS #but i'm also aghast at the amount of level grinding i've had to do even just around the first 2 gyms #i'm like ok if you don't give me access to fast training methods until a little bit into the game alright #but there's not even that many TRAINERS to fight yet #i've had to do so much wild battling just to keep a decent number of pokemon on pace with the boss/miniboss trainers #it's an absurd waste of time #i know i could use a cheat to get candies in but #i've always had issues getting action replay cheats to work with my emulator #like sometimes they do but sometimes not and i hate the tedium of trying it till it works #so thats why i was trying this first run without candies #bc i see that there's apparently a training 'solution' in solaceon town #but now i'm like my god. how much more grinding do i need to do before i get there #pokemon sp #d

Still can't beat the Devourer on Epic mode at lvl 36

#epic battle fantasy #I had this whole plan where before fighting him I would do all the side content that doesn't give you exp but better gear #turns out he gets even stronger if you did the optional bosses #beam + spiky arm and it was basically over in 2 turns #I thought of this strategy where I would use gear that gives you HP and a lot of resistence to status effects like scorch/confuse/freeze #turns out I'm a fucking idiot #I know I could beat him if I overleveled but that's no fun
