Byorb Time! (OC Update)

Finally finished the byorb. Been actually a while since I wanted to make a ref for him but I just didn't know when till now. However this is also a design update on him so some tweaks to his design were made when I was drawing this ref.

Next up I'm gonna redraw a certain alien bird with the taste for flesh... (Also with a change of Clothes bcs they're uh... working for my king fella)

Some stuff about him: His backstory is still fairly the same but I kinda maybe uh.... added smtn to him where he is possibly secretly trans (as in able to pass as male) but you can call him a cis guy idc tbh. He's literally a spirit now so mortal logic won't really work here.

(Also considering his snake wife IS TRANS, it prob would make sense for him be a trans man? But then again they're spirits so it doesn't matter? But meh maybe some logic could be inputted)

Anyways that's it for this guy. He's actually was a OC I created for a frend a few months back but here we are, with a design update bcs I'm just weird like that. (Like cmon I alredy updated a design of their snake man with juandice (whom I made for them) so why not borbus?)

still can't believe that mod is spouting that shit about nemesis being a good guy cuz the nabateans were oppressing humanity when by the time nemesis did the genocide the nabateans were nearly exclusively residing in zanado and sothis herself was sleeping... like that's literally WHY he killed almost all of them because almost all of them had secluded themselves AWAY from humans in one specific spot. aside from everything else wrong with saying that there's just nothing in the game that remotely supports their position at all.

it's like they all WANT it to be true. like. really really REALLY want it to be true. there's such a weirdly persistent need to paint nabateans as evil AS A RACE from that mod and everyone who agrees with them, frankly i can't see it as anything but that mod being a racist.

Don't forget that he said that Nabateans should become subservient to humans as "atonement" for their crimes. Oh and they can't have any "power" over humans.

I didn’t have time to draw something for Halloween, so here’s this old drawing I did a while ago of Meta Knight as Captain Picard/Locutus of Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation that I feel somewhat fits the Halloween theme. I call him Locutus of Borb.

there are the big things that my mother has done to me, but there are also the thousand little things she's done, and im just wondering why the fuck didn't anyone say anything. like my laugh's been made fun of. my smile. any speck of acne. every aspect of my body. my clothes. my toileting habits. my anxiety. my deepest insecurities. nothing was sacred, my family's and mother's entertainment mattered more than my emotional well-being.

Finches can scream when sad/agitated so all I can imagine is Xiao hopping onto a mountaintop later and screaming his little vocal cords out. And subsequently get taken care of by the reader when we notice he's suddenly very quiet which can be a sign of sorrow/illness/stress. They can also make these noises whenever they're bored but that's not angsty enough. (Also has Xiao always been a finch and I've just been blind??)

i imagine xiao’s quiet for a bird, but even so it’s easy to tell when he’s upset. he’s always quiet, just sort of… dull. standing there.

oh, or, he gets the urge to scream like this after reader vents, and they assume they’ve somehow angered him, only making the problem worse. he’s not mad at you, he’s not, he just- his form is too small to hold his anger, it needs to be let out but he can’t just leave you-

also, no, he hasn’t! i. don’t think. i’ve never specified his species (bc i don’t know birds nor what birds are in liyue at that) but i beliiieve sibling anon called him a cardinal? then you said finch and it was on my mind as i touched up ‘he who is without sin’ so that’s where that finch line is from, if that’s what you’re confused over.

Said clone is also meandering the halls at the moment, scrolling through his own dash looking for more things to send to “boss by contract”. Tip of his tongue peeking through the side of his mouth, lost in his own little world (per usual). That is until a zing of his halo alerts Lucid to a splitting in the fabric of space nearby. The blue seraphim now a well versed traveling portals not only between Heaven and Hell, but time itself, easily picks up the sensation. Something is here that should not be.

The sound of something rapid fire pinging off the pearly and golden pristine walls of the embassy ahead prompts the short angel to make haste. If there’s trouble, he ought to identify it. What if the Hellborn are finally making that attack like Adam had warned? Have they successfully procreated an army in the Lust Ring to make such a brazen attack?! Ahead the pinging stops as a vibrato of squawks fills its place, the scent of sizzled fabric and feathers wafting Lucid’s seemingly nonexistent nose. Bare feet skid across the tiled floor as he rushes the corner, beholding the twitching lump of fried exorcist commander on the floor.

“Father Almighty! Adam! What happened?!” Soaring over to close the distance rapidly, Lucid crouches beside the fresh rotisserie chicken of a man, hands holding the face of his mask. ���Who did this to you?! What did this to you?” Thank Heaven that angels are hard to kill, but that does not mean he isn’t hurt! The last time the blue seraphim has seen the First Man this crispy was after a kiss of lightning in the treetops of Eden. How that did not kill the human then, it must have been the will of the Lord. Because that man would have been deep sixed on day one with how much trouble he got himself into.

I had two of these and I let them sit like a month because I’m terrible at being nice to myself publicly— I was raised be…uncomfortable with that. But I also go the therapy like a Good adult, and I’m fairly sure it’s what my therapist would want

1) I’m funny — this is the number one thing other people tend to tell me I am and I like to think it’s true. I like making people laugh, it’s a very honest emotion, easy to read. When people laugh, I know they’re happy. I also spent so many time watching comedians that at least it’s useful for something.

2) I’m Friendly — I don’t know how it comes off, but I tend to want to be friends with everyone, sometimes…to a fault. I just… don’t like the idea of people being mad at me? I like to make as many people happy as I can, and being friends with someone feels good, so I don’t tend to limit myself with who I befriend

3) I’m emotional — sometimes I’m maybe a bit too sensitive, god knows I panic the second someone sub posts, and a lot of those emotions are guilt— but I also don’t think it’s a bad thing to be passionate and feel strongly, it feels like that’s the point of living? I dunno someone once told me my love being so loud was something they weren’t used to, but appreciated… and I want to keep being that person who loves loud enough people know they’re loved all the time

4) I think I’m useful. I like being the guy with the photo archive and memory, I like being the guy who posts things or does live recaps, or who remembers things for people. I like being useful, and providing a service that takes no effort but makes someone happy. That’s what gives me purpose

5) I’m honest. Sometimes it gets me in trouble not being able to lie really, and it’s certainly made people upset at me when I voiced my interests a little too honestly, but I like that I’m the guy without many boundaries, happy to tell you about anything. I like that it’s something that comes an easily to me.

I realise most of these things can also be faults but… I think the growth is in seeing your faults as strengths. Look at all that emotional honesty!

I likely won’t send this to anyone else because it’s about all the personal vulnerability I can take today, but I would like to know what people like about themselves

stayed home ill today, which means having a small avian companion on me for extended periods of time. currently, the girls are trying quite desperately to get at my cup of (decaf) coffee. at least the older one knows what "ow, hot" means. the younger one? trying so many daring ploys to sneak around my watchful gaze.

she doesn't realize i can feel her walking down my arm, and always acts so alarmed when i say "no" without looking at her. like gurl you are old enough to understand this by now.

miss shunky shushu turns 10 soon. it only feels like it's been a few months... my perception of time has gone weird. maybe i'll make her a yogurt cake this year. who knew that i'd have the companionship of a little knife-faced dinosaur for an entire decade?
