Whether you are planning a solo adventure, a family holiday, or a business trip, the appeal of snagging affordable airfares can enkindle excitement like nothing differently. But how can you insure that your trip isn't only memorable but also budget-friendly? Let's dive into the world of flight ticket deals and unveil the strategies that can transfigure your trip dreams into reality.
 1. Embrace Inflexibility
When it comes to hunting down the best deals for flights, inflexibility is your secret armament. Airlines frequently offer lower fares for breakouts during lower popular times, similar as weekdays or off- peakhours. However, consider conforming your trip dates to take advantage of these fund-friendly options, If your schedule allows. Online trip platforms like Wagnistrip allow you to explore colorful date combinations painlessly, helping you identify the most cost-effective diary.
 2. Early catcalls Reap prices
The age-old byword" the early raspberry catches the worm" holds true in the realm of flight bookings. Airlines generally release their flight schedules and ticket prices several months in advance. By reserving your flight tickets well ahead of your willed trip date, you stand a better chance of securing the stylish deals. As the departure date approaches, prices tend to rise due to adding demand, so making your reservation beforehand can lead to significant savings.
 3. Stay Alert for Special Offers
Airlines are known to sprinkle their timetables with special offers, elevations, and abatements to allure trippers. These can range from seasonal deals to last- nanosecond flash deals. Subscribing to airline newsletters and following their social media channels can keep you in the circle about these limited- time offers. also, flight comparison websites and trip agencies like Wagnistrip curate a selection of the most enticing deals available, making it a breath for you to compare options and make an informed choice.
 4. influence chow Comparison Tools
In this digital age, chow comparison tools have come necessary for trippers seeking the Best Deals for Flight Tickets. These tools aggregate data from colorful airlines and reserving platforms, presenting you with a comprehensive list of options in bare seconds. The days of manually trawling through multiple airline websites are over – these tools streamline the process, helping you find the stylish fares without the hassle.
 5. suppose Outside the Terminal
still, consider exploring breakouts from alternate airfields, If you are willing to add a bit of adventure to your trip. occasionally, lower or lower busy airfields offer lower fares due to reduced functional costs. While it might involve a slightly longer commute, the implicit savings could make it well worth the trouble. Just be sure to factor in transportation costs when making your decision.
 6. Do not Forget Baggage freights
When hunting for flight ticket deals, keep an eagle eye out for airlines that include baggage freights in their prices. What may originally feel like a steal can snappily turn into a fiscal reversal if hefty baggage freights are turned on. To get a true picture of the cost, compare the aggregate charges, including baggage freights, before making your decision.
 7. utilize the Power of prices and Miles
For frequent pamphlets and seasoned trippers, price programs and accumulated long hauls can be a game- changer. numerous airlines offer fidelity programs that award harmonious guests with gratuities and abatements. Accumulated long hauls can frequently be redeemed for reduced fares or indeed free breakouts, making it a strategic way to cut down on trip charges.
In conclusion, chancing the Best Deals for Flight Tickets is a mix of inflexibility, planning, and embracing the technological tools at your disposal. By staying flexible with your trip dates, reserving in advance, keeping an eye on special offers, and using chow comparison tools, you can uncover flight ticket deals that align with your budget and bournes . I mean yes but please expand
Okay this took me a while but the cba is 350 pages and I read that thing okay like I didn't skim it (okay I skimmed a lot of the numbers part bc the numbers mean dick to me) but I read it okay? Anyways here's all my thots, buckle up it's a long one, I'll put in under a readmore so you can just scroll past if you don't care
Non inclusive language (all players must be women, referring to players as ‘she’ ‘her’ etc, at least one out non binary player in the league, also no definition on what a woman is so afab? Trans women? Unclear)
Teams can only have 6 players with protected salaries (meaning teams still have to pay them if they get hurt or ill or cut etc) only vets can have protected salaries not rooks – rosters are 11-12 which means half the team can get cut without pay for any reason and lose their salary (this isn’t something that will ever be changed and probably is standard and/or better than other sports leagues but it is worth mentioning)
By agreeing upon provisions (to be set forth in Exhibit 3 to a Standard Player Contract) limiting or eliminating the player’s right to receive her Base Salary (in accordance with Sections 6(a)(i)(y) and 6(c) of this Article) when the player’s disability or unfitness to play skilled basketball is caused by the re-injury of one or more injuries sustained prior to, or by the aggravation of one or more conditions that existed prior to, the execution of the Standard Player Contract providing for such Base Salary – players that aggravate an old injury can get cut without pay and teams that sign players hurt can cut them without pay? this isn’t a problem for established players bc teams will deal with an injury prone player if they’re good enough when healthy, but it’s not good for rookies/unestablished players who won’t get the same grace
Players with less than 6 years experience can’t get trade bonuses from the team trading for them – kinda fucked up
Players base salaries not protected if they’re injured playing overseas, fine for top players bc teams won’t cut them and will pay for their rehab to get them back for wnba but for rooks/not established vets they get kinda fucked over also the fucked over players are the ones who need to play in Europe most bc they don’t make shit, like the players that this won’t affect make enough to not need to play in Europe if they really don’t want to
Max/min salaries should be determined by percentage of revenue, while salaries are better than they were and they go up each year they’re not connected to league revenue at all so league could make shit ton more money this year but players salaries next year won’t reflect that, also unclear where tf the numbers come from? Like how did they determine this is the salary cap # and this is how much it’ll increase like are these arbitrary numbers or is there logic behind them
Low salary cap = no roster space
Players given coach airline tickets from city they reside to city they play and back, and to cities they are traded to (it literally says coach even if teams wanted to give players better seats they cannot)
No airline ticket provided if travel is less than 200 miles (but travel still paid for but like bus/train/gas money)
All air travel provided by the Team (including, but not limited to, travel between games) will be, if available on the Team-chosen flights at the time of booking, premium economy (or similar enhanced coach fare) – no chartered flights hence why nyl was fined and why mercury can’t use their own plane, this is literally written in the cba that players agreed to who are now making a big stink about cathy hating to see a bad bitch winning when the bad bitches in question did this to themselves
Players are paid 25% of league revenue and 50% of incremental value. This is where it gets confusing for some ppl because they see 50% and assume it's 50% of total revenue. It's not. nba players for example make 50% of all league revenue, so if the nba makes hypothetically 600k in revenue then players get 300k. In the wnba on the other hand, if the league expects to make 500k then actually makes 600k, the players don't get 300k, they get 25% of 500k+50% of 100k, so that would be 125k+50k. It's significantly less revenue sharing than the nba has which is what the players have been fighting for, like Kelsey Plum said we don't want to be paid the same salaries as the nba we want the same percent of revenue.
Players required to attend media things, not a max number of things a season but whenever the team/league wants, a max number of things within certain number of days, but players really have no control over their media appearances for the team/league – why angel reese and Chicago sky fined, really takes away player freedom/autonomy and you know that certain players are going to do media more often bc they’re ‘big names’ meaning they do so much extra labour than their teammates (a’ja doing what seems like every aces press conference??), and it means a player can't back out of media if they're not up for it like if they're tired, hurt, physically or mentally not at 100% they can't say sorry coach not today or they and the team gets fined
“Player Attributes” means a player’s name, nickname, Picture, portrait, image, signature, voice or other identifiable attributes and, to the extent that she has rights therein, biographical data” league has rights to license any player attributes and players are not allowed to license their attributes, players cannot permit anyone other than the league to manufacture products bearing player attributes, and not allowed to appear promos or ads for any entity that is not a wnba sponsor or affiliate (so no individual sponsors with anyone not associated with the league) – this is probably a general thing in all leagues but it just feels icky
Must have minimum of 11 and max of 12 players on roster, nba has 14-15 roster – again this is salary cap related but even with the increasing salary cap teams can only have a max 12 players so even if the salary cap gets upped that doesn’t equal to more roster spots
Players aren’t allowed to strike, but teams aren’t allowed to lockout players – no lockout is good since it can be used to essentially force players into agreements that are league/team beneficial and teams/leagues can use lockouts to turn media and fans against players (mlb lockout where teams were like the players won’t play we’re willing to play but the players won’t in an attempt to villainize them and the players being like nah bro we’re ready to play they’re not ready to come to the table), but no strike… icky
Also this is not an issue I have with the cba I actually like it but "No Team shall make any direct or indirect payment of any money, property, investments, loans, or anything else of value to: (i) any basketball team not in the WNBA, or (ii) any other entity, organization, representative, or person, for the purpose of inducing a player to enter into a Player Contract or in connection with receiving the right to enter into a Player Contract." Actual quote from the cba I just want to bring up because this is why the wnba is investigating the aces 100k sponsorship bc they're essentially questioning if that money is actually coming from marky mark himself or if that money was used to incentivize players to sign contracts below market value anyways just wanted to point that out, I'm all for bagging on commissioners when they suck but in this case cathy isn't doing this bc she hates vegas she's doing this bc the aces might be breaking the cba
Anyways, that's all my thots on the cba, it's definitely better than it was and there's some good stuff in there that does help protect players, but there's also a lot that's icky and stuff that I'm disappointed to see the players agree to and I understand that players have to make concessions and compromise on stuff, but there's stuff in there (like having to be available for media, the chartered flights debacle, the aces sponsorship debacle) which has been causing a big stink that players and fans obviously have issues with which are written into the cba that players agreed to, so I think after 2027 (when this cba expires) that there's some things the players association needs to take a hard stance on and not budge

How to Fly Like a Hollywood Star - Part 2: Before the Airport and At the Airport
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Part 1 - Packing]
Before the Airport
🛩 If booking flight tickets online, use incognito mode. Airline websites use cookies to adjust the prices of tickets, so if you visit a website often, the price will be more expensive. Using incognito mode prevents this.
🛩 You can't book tickets through this site, but it tells you who has the cheapest fares.
🛩 Flight Connections can be your best friend when booking flights.
🛩 Be careful with low budget airlines. The tickets may be cheap, but they try and make you pay through the nose for every else, like food, checked bags, seat assignments, etc.
🛩 First flights of the day are always your best bets in terms of availability and options if you get bumped, at least on major routes. If you have two options to take a leg always plan to take the first one I.e. Ten seats on the 7am departure is far more likely than ten seats on the 9am. People oversleep, people change their flights, people get stuck in traffic, etc.
🛩 Study what type of plane you'll be on prior to booking seats. Business class will nearly always have only two seats per row, but on some big jets, economy class will have two seats towards the back of the plane. This is because the plane narrows there. This is good, because there's extra space next to you on the floor if you're in the window seat, and you won't be in the dreaded middle seat. Be aware that some planes have the latrine next to that aisle (but sometimes it's the galley, so you'll have the aroma of fresh coffee near you throughout the entire flight). You can find a map of your flight's seats here.
🛩 Get window or aisle seats if you can. Aisle seats are better if you need to pee a lot, but the downside is that you'll have to get up for other people in your row. Window seats are good for not being disturbed, but you'll have to ask people in your row to move if you need the toilet. Avoid middle seats if possible, there's no benefit to them.
🛩 Get business class tickets if you can. On some airlines they're only a little bit more expensive than economy, and the experience is so much better.
🛩 Sometimes, saying you're a doctor can get you upgraded ahead of others. So try your luck and fill out the "Title" section with "Dr" when you fly.
🛩 Bring a powerbank for your phone, just in case your phone battery dies. The flight may not have a charging outlet, and they can be difficult to find in an airport, which is a nightmare if you have your boarding pass or vaccination proof on your phone.
🛩 Take a screenshot of the airport map, your boarding pass, and vaccine cert just in case you have difficulties accessing the airport WiFi. Make a photocopy of your passport and keep it in your luggage.
🛩 Download some music ahead of your flight (this app is the best for downloading music if you're an android user), and bring something to read on board. Use Library Genesis to download any books you want to read on an electronic device offline.
🛩 Take a picture of your luggage in case it gets lost.
🛩 If your luggage gets lost, in many places airlines are obligated to pay you compensation, so don't just let it slide. Use this site to get compensation (going directly to the airline may cause them to do the runaround so you won't get anything). Keep the receipts of clothing, toiletries, etc, you bought and claim. If you're don't fly often, buy stuff with the assumption you won't get your claim. If you do fly frequently, then you can begin buying expensive items, and they don't complain.
🛩 If you're in the EU and something goes wrong with your flight, check this website to find out your rights.
🛩 Check your phone coverage abroad. Most big carriers have programs where you can pay by the day for international access (between like $2 and $10 depending on country) but international roaming fees are terrible if you forget to activate an international plan. Get a prepaid cellphone sim card if possible.
🛩 Make sure you call your bank/credit card company to authorize your cards for use abroad. Check what the international transaction fees are. Consider getting some cash in the currency of your destination before you go. Major banks will have it on hand, most others can order it for you.
At the Airport
🛩 Dress smartly, for example, a neat pair of jeans, white shirt, and well-cut blazer or cardigan. Don't dress like you're at the beach, in shorts and sandals. The air conditioning is often cranked up at airports and planes are usually cold because of the air vents, so you'll be chilly, and it's impractical if there's an emergency and you need to evacuate. Instead, wear layers. Not too many, as it's a pain taking them off when going through security, but it's good to wear a warm cardigan just in case you're freezing, which you can take off if the heating in the airport is too high (London Heathrow is always boiling hot in my experience). Avoid gym gear; it belongs in the gym (this applies to all situations, not just flying). If you're wearing sneakers, wear trim ones, not clunky running shoes. If you're lucky, dressing smartly might bump you up a class, and you'll never know when you might meet a person in a high position at the airport, or sat next to you in business class.
🛩 Go to the airport as early as you can. Sometimes, checking in very early can get you bumped up to spare seats in a higher class.
🛩 Once you go through security, you can't get out again (unless you want to go through security a second time). Don't leave the secure area (usually, if you're going in the direction of baggage claim, you're headed out).
🛩 If you get lost in the airport, don't hesitate to ask the staff for help.
🛩 If the airport is huge, you can generally use Google Maps on your phone if you don't know where to go.
🛩 Don't trust anyone who offers to carry your bags.
🛩 Be aware of your important belongings in the airport. They’re generally safe, but if your brain is in a million places at once it’s easy to misplace little impossible things (phone, wallet, passport, ticket, etc.).
🛩 When transferring flights, go to your next flight immediately. It may take you longer to get there than you expect.
🛩 If you miss your connecting flight, the airline will rebook you. There will be a line to wait in or a number to call for details if this happens.
🛩 Listen to the overhead announcements, as airlines might not always text if there's a change to your flight or a gate change.
🛩 If you have a long wait in the airport, get up and walk around every few hours. Or explore the city you're in if you feel comfortable.
🛩 Some airports have yoga rooms, art exhibits, etc. Make use of them if you have time.
🛩 Food is more expensive in airports, so if you're on a budget, try to eat before you go, or bring snacks. However, buying snacks in the airport is still less expensive than on the plane. On many airlines, if you fly business class, snacks and drinks are complimentary, so check ahead of time on the airline's meal policy.
🛩 If you have access to the lounge, you'll be able to shower, which can be very refreshing during a long day of running around.

How to book a flight to Cuba from New York
Assuming you would like tips for booking a flight from New York City to Havana, Cuba:

The other option is to fly into Varadero Airport (VRA), which is about 90 miles east of Havana.+1-9729847799
If you're flying into José Martí International Airport, the best way to get into Havana is by taking a taxi. Taxis are available at the airport and can take you directly into the city center.

Baggage Fees Explained: How to Avoid Hidden Costs on Budget Flights
When booking cheap flights to New York or Miami, it’s common to come across seemingly low airfares. But the moment you start adding luggage, those bargain prices can skyrocket. Baggage fees have become a significant source of revenue for airlines, especially for budget carriers. Understanding these fees and learning how to avoid them can save you money and frustration.
Why Do Airlines Charge Baggage Fees?
Airlines began introducing baggage fees during the economic downturn in the early 2000s. Initially, these fees helped cover fuel costs and offset lower ticket prices. Today, baggage fees have evolved into a major revenue stream for many carriers, particularly low-cost airlines. The allure of cheap flights to New York or Miami can often lead travelers to opt for budget airlines, only to face hefty charges for checked or even carry-on luggage.
Budget airlines often follow a “pay-as-you-go” model. This allows passengers to purchase a basic fare and then pay extra for add-ons like seat selection, meals, and of course, baggage. While this model can offer incredibly cheap flights, those who are unaware of the baggage fees might end up paying more than expected.
Common Baggage Fees on Budget Airlines
Carry-on Fees: Some low-cost airlines charge for carry-on luggage. This fee is often based on the size or weight of the bag. A common misconception is that a carry-on is always free, but that’s not the case with budget carriers.
Checked Bag Fees: Even traditional airlines now charge for checked luggage, and the cost can vary significantly depending on the airline, flight route, and even time of booking. Booking baggage at the airport is almost always more expensive than pre-paying during the booking process.
Overweight Luggage: Airlines often have strict weight limits for both carry-on and checked baggage. Exceeding these limits can lead to steep additional fees, which sometimes cost more than the original ticket price. It’s essential to weigh your bags before heading to the airport to avoid surprises.
Oversized Items: Some items, such as sports equipment, instruments, or larger suitcases, are subject to oversized baggage fees. Even if these items meet the weight requirements, their size can lead to additional charges.
How to Avoid Hidden Baggage Costs
Choose the Right Fare: Many airlines offer different fare classes. Some fares include a free checked bag, while others charge extra for any luggage. When comparing flights to New York or Miami, look beyond the base ticket price and see what’s included. Sometimes, paying slightly more for a ticket that includes a checked bag can save money in the long run.
Travel Light: The easiest way to avoid baggage fees is to pack lightly. If you can fit everything into a small backpack or personal item, many airlines will allow you to bring it on board for free. Be sure to check the airline’s size and weight restrictions for personal items before packing.
Pre-Purchase Baggage Online: Most airlines offer a discount if you pay for luggage online before arriving at the airport. Whether you’re booking cheap flights to Miami or trying to score last-minute flights to New York, always add your baggage at the time of booking. If you forget, you can usually add it later, but expect the price to be higher at the airport.
Use Airline Loyalty Programs: Frequent flyers or members of an airline’s loyalty program often receive free baggage allowances. Additionally, certain credit cards affiliated with airlines offer perks like free checked bags, which can be a huge cost-saver.
Compare Airlines: When searching for flights, use comparison websites to weigh your options. Websites that compare airfares often list the baggage policies of each airline, giving you a clear picture of the total cost of your trip. Look for options that offer flexibility with luggage.
Conclusion
Finding cheap flights to New York or Miami is always exciting, but it’s essential to be aware of the potential baggage fees that can add up quickly. By understanding how these fees work and planning ahead, you can avoid hidden costs and keep your trip budget-friendly. Travel light, compare your options, and take advantage of any opportunities to save on baggage fees. After all, the less you spend on extras, the more you have to enjoy your destination!

China economic slowdown sends chill through 'golden week' holidays
Flight, hotel prices drop as travelers hunt for bargains ahead of National Day break

WATARU SUZUKI, Nikkei staff writerSeptember 30, 2024 10:12 JST
SHANGHAI -- China's tourism industry is bracing for sluggish growth over the upcoming national day holidays, even as regional governments begin to distribute cash vouchers to boost flagging consumer spending.
The seven-day "golden week" starts Tuesday, kicking off one of the busiest travel periods as the People's Republic marks the 75th anniversary of its founding.
But bookings for the period indicate that fares on both domestic and international flights are down more than 20%, compared to the same period last year, according to online travel agent Trip.com Group. Data tracking company Flight Master said airlines are expected to operate 115,000 passenger flights during the holiday. Although last year's golden week ran for eight days, meaning it cannot be directly compared, the daily average this year is up a modest 6.2%.
A Chinese woman in her 30s who works in Tokyo said she found tickets for a flight back to Shanghai for about 1,000 yuan ($141). "I was surprised that it was so cheap," she said. Chinese flight booking apps show many low-cost carriers offer fare price at below 1,000 yuan.
Despite tepid household spending, the tourism industry has been a bright spot, as domestic travel surged after China ended its tight COVID-19 restrictions in December 2022. Last year's paid accommodations by number of nights stayed in the domestic market was 14% higher than in 2019, according to Oxford Economics.
But growing signs of an economic slowdown -- including a worsening real estate market downturn, cooling manufacturing activity and rising unemployment -- in recent weeks have underscored the weakness in consumer sentiment. On Sept. 24, the Chinese central bank announced a basket of monetary stimulus policies aimed at stimulating demand, a move that some economists said should be followed by fiscal support to turn the economy around.
Following the announcement, regional governments including Shanghai's started distributing vouchers for use at restaurants, hotels, cinemas and sports facilities during the golden week. In a rare move, the central government said on Sept. 25 that it will give out a "one-time allowance" to needy people including orphans before the Oct. 1 National Day.
Restaurants and high-end fashion brands have already been hit by weak consumption, as growth of total retail sales slowed to 2.1% on the year in August, from 2.7% the previous month. Analysts see travel budgets being hit as well.
Tumblr media
"The Chinese travelers are ultra sensitive on costs," said Prudence Lai, research consultant at Euromonitor International. "Airlines observed that this year, once the ticket prices are slightly higher than what consumers expect, they actually turn to alternative travel modes such as high-speed rail."
At the end of August, China Eastern Airlines said it will take over the operation of One Two Three Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary that only began operations in 2020, to "reduce management costs" among other reasons. The merger by absorption process started on Sept. 22, with China Eastern issuing a refund notice to affected passengers. The subsidiary will be deregistered and its fleet will be transferred to the parent company.
The three top state-owned airlines -- China Eastern, China Southern Airlines and Air China -- all posted net losses for the first half of the year. HSBC lowered its earnings estimate for Spring Airlines, a Chinese low-cost carrier, in September due to "downward pressure of sluggish consumer sentiment."
Hilton Worldwide Holdings, which has more than 600 hotels in China, said revenue per available room -- a key performance metric -- in the second quarter was down 5% year on year in the country. In contrast, the Asia-Pacific region excluding China grew 11% over the same period. "Asia-Pacific ... is sort of a tale of two cities, China and then APAC ex-China," Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta said in an earnings call in August.
Dongguan Securities wrote in a recent report that "from a long-term perspective, 'value for money' remains a priority for the general public in domestic travel."
As Chinese travelers increasingly become price sensitive, the central government is stepping up efforts to attract foreign tourists to China. It has rolled out visa free stays of up to 144 hours for visitors from 54 countries that transit to another country via certain entry points. In May, the government decreed that hotels cannot refuse foreigners even if they do not have the required qualifications to cater to international visitors.
In the first half of the year, foreign nationals made 14.64 million trips to China, accounting for about 70% of the 2019 level, according to official data.
If current trends persist, countries that are counting on a recovery of inbound Chinese tourists to boost their own travel industries may be set for disappointment. The number of international flights during the holiday remains at about 13,000, 85.5% of the figure in 2019, according to Flight Master, with 76.6% of the flights concentrated in Southeast Asia and East Asia.
Euromonitor expects the tallies of outbound travelers in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam to recover to 2019 levels this year, but foresees China completing the recovery only in 2027. The only major Asian country that is projected to take longer than China to rebound is Japan, where the appetite for outbound travel has been dented by a weak yen.

When is the Best Time to Book for Flight?
Timing is really crucial when it comes to booking flights since there are always discounts at certain times. Seasonality and holidays can largely influence the price of airfares depending on the availability and consumers’ preferences. Having the appropriate idea of the correct month for booking your flight will go a long way in slicing down your expenses.
When to Book Domestic Flights in India
For domestic flight connections within India, the best months to book are January and February. December sees a holiday season rush, with many travelers preferring to fly during this time. As a result, fares are high, but come January and February, prices drop due to lower demand. These early months of the year offer low fares, especially for trips in mid or late February after the big January rush.
Ticket rates tend to be cheaper because this is not the peak travel season, making it an ideal time to plan travel within the country. Further more, if you wish to visit popular cities or tourist destinations such as Goa for its beaches, Kerala for its backwaters, or Rajasthan for its forts and palaces, January and February are perfect months to book. Seturtrip also recommends booking your group flight tickets during this time for added savings.
Best Months to Get International Flight Offers
International flight fares tend to be more affordable during August and September, making it preferable to schedule flights during these months. The reduced demand for international trips after the peak holiday season in mid-June and July causes a drop in prices. For those who are flexible with their travel dates, August and September offer great opportunities to find cheap flight tickets to popular destinations like Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Additionally, flights to international destinations are typically cheaper in October, as this period follows the summer holidays when many domestic tourists travel abroad. Booking during these off-peak months can save you a lot, especially when purchasing group airline tickets.
Booking for Indian Holidays: Plan Ahead
If you’re planning to travel to India during festive seasons like Diwali, Holi, or Durga Puja, it’s important to make your flight bookings several weeks in advance. These festivals mark the peak travel periods within India, with many people traveling to their hometowns to celebrate or going on holiday. Flight prices significantly increase as these holidays approach, so it’s best to book two to three months ahead to avoid paying higher rates.
For example, if you plan to travel during Diwali, booking your flight by mid-August or early September can help secure cheaper prices. Similarly, for Holi, which mostly falls in March, booking in January will help you avoid last-minute price hikes.
Midweek Flights and Flexible Dates
Seturtrip advises flexibility when it comes to travel dates. Midweek flights are often less expensive than weekend flights, and flights that are not tied to holiday seasons or major events usually have lower fares. This strategy applies to both individual and group airline tickets. Using fare alerts can also help monitor price drops, giving you the chance to book a flight at the lowest possible rate.
