What I'm trying to say is that nobody changes overnight. Claw Noir/Shadybug redemption arc happened in ONE NIGHT!! So I like to imagine that at least 3 more seasons of reverse-Hesperia-Miraculous show will be guaranteed to air after the special. Of course we won't watch it in our current universe. Bummer.

YES they will still be themselves. Struggling with their pain, with their emotional baggage, their FREAKING awesome overpowering strength (wow, these two really KNOW how to fight), their smirks and their silliness and their sassiness. Hesperia has the job cut out for him trying to reform these anti-heroes and bring them to the good side. It's going to be INTERESTING to say the least.

I admit that I spent last night rewatching the special again! and I'm happy the animators kept their quirks. Yes, RIP awesome Shadyclaw outfit *sob* It will take some time for me to come in terms with that.

BUT claw noir was too cool to change.

hold on i want to do best songs per expansion cause i got a lot to say about soken and co's discography of the game but i have to start out of order to let everyone know i think Wayward Daughter is a mediocre track and the actual best Stormblood track is Seven-Hundred and Seventy Seven Whiskers FOR GOOD REASON

Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven Whiskers stands out amongst every song in Stormblood to me purely because of the Namazu themselves --- the Namazu 777 Festival is obviously based on the Obon, and the music that plays is meant to be music played during the Bon Odori/Bon Dance, and you can even hear the sound of the Namazu dancing to it in the song with the squeak of their feet :]

But what makes this so special is just the story of the Namazu, how their people lost their way and culture and how after one sees a vision of their people being destroyed unless they hold a festival and how everyone involved seems genuinely invested in reconstructiong their culture and being a ''people'' with rituals and beliefs again, rather than simply chasing coin like a lot do when you first meet the Namazu. And when they come to the Azim Steppe to make a spot for their cultural festival, they take the time to learn about the Au Ri cultures around them, and even though its often shown that the different Au Ri people consider the Namazu odd, them wanting to learn traditions from the different clans and incorporate them into their own festival is never framed as a greedy or ignorant ploy, but the Namazu genuinely wanting to learn and understand these traditions. The Namazu are even incredibly respectful to the Uyagiri people, where when they hear that they refuse to come to the festival due to their own religious beliefs about indulgence, the Namazu never berate them or say they should ''just leave their cave'' like other clans on the Steppe do --- instead, the quest is that you make a very simplistic offering, a doll iirc, to give to the Uyagiri as offering since they cant come. The Namazu genuinely try and even though theyre often played off as being stupid and for slapstick theyre never played off as like, ''oooh look at these fish disrespecting a culture because they wanna mimic it haha!"

And its really sweet with the fact that the Namazu story itself is about finding meaning and religion in what you do, and even if others see your beliefs and traditions and habits as ''uncessary'' or ''unworthwhile'', if it means something to YOU, if doing it makes you feel closer to your people or your religion, then it is worthwhile --- they see the festival as worthwhile, as crafting and gathering as worthwhile, and in reconnecting with their traditions they do avert a genuinely life-threatening future of mass exctintion, not because they actually appeased some sort of god threatening them, but because these traditions were grounded in a sense of preservation, that though they seem silly to others they were how the namazu lived and thrived!! and now to mention how the Namazu story touches on the concept of sort of recognizing that the God you worship isnt real with the fact that the Great One is sort of just implied to be not real, just Earthquakes in the ground, with not only it being based off a real legend but also the fact that the Namazu can't/dont summon a primal of it. And once again wrapping back around to the concept of religion always having been a means to self preserve, and whether a god truly exists or not is not what matters, but the community and safety and preservation that comes with religious worship and rules and etc etc. Anyway the Namazu are really good i think they steal the show for best track in stormblood ✌️

ANYWAY. A REALM REBORN. DREAM'S ALOFT genuinely one of the first MSQ songs to hit me in the gut. As a Kingdom Hearts fan and not an ff fan hearing this song did in fact make me feel like i was in Traverse Town again and meeting Cid highwind from my childhood. But also meeting Cid while this song plays and we're up in the airship really did feel like one of the first ''big moments'' in this game to me, so whenever I hear this song I think of my sprout days and how simply being up in the air felt like the most magical thing ever

second to it HAS to be Edda's theme. No reason for ARR to randomly scare the shit out of me with a cool and emotional side story. I think FF14 does really good with brief moments of horror, cause Edda's plot really did chill me to the bone but it didn't overstay it's welcome or become ''too much'' --- which is where I think ff14 begins to fail in its ''scares'' sometimes. This game does best with like, Halloween campy spooky bullshit and nothing genuinely meant to be ''horrific'' and i think it needs to return to Edda-esque side quests more.

and Through The Maelstrom for third place. If you dont think the buildup to Leviathan in ARR and the sound of the guitar kicking in after that first slapdown was the coolest, most ''oh shit this is REALLY dire'' then you can get the hell out of my house cause this was when the game hit that OH SHIT factor for me. Scariest and Coolest Primal to date fuck everyone else

my pick for Heavensward makes me sad cause finding out they took out Steps of Faith and therefore nobody gets to experience Faith in Her Fury to the most dreadul march of your life is so sad to me. I can't even tell you why Faith in Her Fury sticks in my mind to the point I recognized in EDW, I think it's just a really good introduction piece to Heavensward and made for a good backing track to a fun marching fight

number 2 for Heavensward has to be Slumber Eternal. I've described this as ''music they'd play in a period movie where a fight breaks out between union busters and coal miners where people definitely die'' and i mean that in a complimentary way. This song really does make you feel like you're fighting up a literal fucking mountain and everything is trying to stop you and i think this was a cool as hell dungeon. I listen to this on repeat so often its not even funny

MORE ACT 6 SPOILERS YAY

Bonnie! Bon! Boniface! Bonbon! They were such a joy to draw. I honestly enjoyed these pages maybe the most out of every character before.

With each of these characters, I get to choose some features for them - in particular, their noses, since ID5 doesn't draw those. I gave Bonnie a very cute, circular, pixar-like button nose - I think it fits them well! They already have very cat-like eyes (which gave me so much trouble -- why are their pupils so small??), so I decided to lean into that. They usually have a bit of blush / pallor on their face, so I decided to draw it as 3 lines, like a cat's whiskers. I gave them a cat-like mouth, even though they actually have a frog-like mouth. Oh well!

Bonnie expresses very explosively! They raise their arms in the air, they lean forward and back, they cross their arms, their mouth opens wide and closed - and they express with their shoulders so much! They raise and lower them a lot. Altogether, they're probably one of the most expressive characters.

As for their proportions - well. They're a kid! Generally, I find that adults' torsos are 1+1/2 or 2 heads across, but kids' torsos are only 1 head across. This makes their heads look very disproportionate to their bodies, which can be hard to draw. That's why I drew it! The little circle you see over Bonnie's chest sometimes is me measuring out their proportions. Kids also, of course, have less muscle than teenagers and adults. I hope this tiny tutorial helps lmfao

"Where's my most handsome ninja?" you could hardly contain your excitement, as you skipped, yes, skipped into the Lair, looking for your favorite man in the world.

"I'm here, Angelcakes!"

Yep, he’s there alright, but not the one you’re looking for.

Out, through the door to the dojo strolled your beautiful man, and oh were you excited.

No, keep the smile down, come on now.

“How are you doing, petal?” his smile was small but warm, there was a tiny joyful bounce in his step - he was in a good mood.

When he reached you, he instinctively bent down to give you a kiss hello, which is when your hands intercepted. His eyes fluttered in confusion as he found his lips against your fingertips. He seemed, rightly, confused with his brows drawing together, head pulling back a little to inspect your face for clues, at which point the smile taking over your face was unstoppable. Your lips pulled taught, uncovering your brand new smile.

“Blossom, you took your braces out!”

“I did!”

His hands latched onto your waist and lifted you in the air like you weighed nothing, and a giggle of pure joy.

No more food catching into your teeth, no more discomfort, and no more worrying if he hates kissing you.

Raphael

“Oh, Raphyyyy!” you strolled into the weights room, but unfortunately didn’t find him there, and just before you left to look for him elsewhere, he strolled in with a can of whatever in his hand and a cheeky smile on his face.

“You’re early, tiny.”

You said nothing. Just kept your lips pursed.

“Everything alright?” He made small strides you way but you could see he was suspicious of you.

Still no response from you as you had to bite your lip to keep the smile down.

His smirk fell, as he seemed to catch onto the fact that something is up, but not quite what it was.

“You’re not mad at me, right?”

Why would he immediately jump to that, had he done something that would warrant your anger. You tried to fake an angry expression, but the pout you were trying to fake also somehow morphed into a smirk. How long could you torture him like that...

“Come on, shorty, talk to me!” he whined as he finally crossed the room to wrap his arms around your waist, lifting you onto the bench to get you at eye-level, at which point you could no longer keep the grin at bay.

“Baby, your braces!”

“I know!”, you couldn’t help the joyous belly-laugh from leaving you and Raph seemed to also catch it from you.

“By the way, you were hot with the braces too.” he whispered in your ear.

“Raphael!” you tried to sound outraged but he knew you enjoyed him complementing you.

Donatello

You’d told him you had study group that day but you just wanted to surprise him, so you ran down to the Lair as soon as your orthodontist let you go, to show him your brand new smile.

Upon entry you noticed Splinter on the meditation platform doing his thing, so you tried to, as quietly as you could, pass him and go towards the lab to look for your genius-man.

“Good evening, (Y/N)!” you kinda jumped a bit, as his calm elderly voice caught you off guard.

“Oh, good evening, sir!” he did a few elaborate moves and jumps and finally landed onto his feet by you.

“You seem to be missing something, child.”

“Yes, sir, my braces.” you could hardly contain your smile at that point, making sure everyone within the vicinity would see your newly-metal-less teeth, “I came to surprise Donnie.”

“Oh, I’m sure he’ll be very surprised.” his large black eyes and whiskered mouth  curved into a smile, ”He is in his room, doing some reading, do pay him a visit.”

“I will, sir, thank you.” you joyously skipped to the boys’ rooms, until you found the entrance to Donnie’s niche.

Knock, knock!

“Come in!”

You kept your head low, only looking at him through your lashes.

“Hey, Don-bon!” you drew out the nickname, unable to contain your excitement.

“Hey, comet, I thought you had study group today.“

“Nuh-uh.” best answer you could come up with without opening your mouth.

“Oh, okay, then. I’ve got some research to do but I’ll be done in a bit, and then we can hang out.”

“Well, I’ve got a surprise for you...” you cooed still keeping your lips as tightly shut as they could be.

His eyes shot up from his tablet, to meet yours with absolute bewilderment, it seemed.

“Comet, your braces!”

Your face fell. How the fuck could he possibly know that?

He seemed to catch onto your visible confusion, explaining that “You said ‘surprise’ with no difficulty!”

Well, that dampened your mood a bit but still, you  were generally too overjoyed to no smile and show off your freshly-freed teeth.

He jumped up from his bed, bending down to hug you, encompassing your entire being in his arms, then pulling back to take another look at you.

“So pretty.”

“Aaaah, thank you.” you squealed with absolute joy.

The Cat’s Whiskers Happy Ending Scenarios

This is a 4 part series about the Paradox Live Characters getting their Happy Ending with their S/O. This post is focused on The Cat Whisker’s endings, either meeting their S/O for the first time (that will lead to something more in the future) or their  happy ending scene with their S/O.

Saimon Naoakira; My Cherie Amour [Stevie Wonder] -

Saimon just arrived home to be greeted with a kiss on the cheek by you.

He lets out a low chuckle, holding you close to himself.

His old record player played the song you set up just as he came home, this song that played in the cafe when you two first met.

Soft kisses peppered across your face as he holds you in his arms.

It’s already 1:00 a.m. but with Saimon’s holding onto your waist, you both can’t help but slow dance the night away.

Yohei Kanbayashi; C’est Si Bon [Aoi Teshima] -

It was a late night at The Cat’s Whiskers, rain was pouring outside as Yohei, alone, smoked a cigarette to keep himself warm, whiskey in hand.

It was so sudden but you rushed in to protect yourself from the rain.

You shivered at the sudden impact of the wet rain with the warm room, eyes making contact with the man at the counter.

Although Yohei had to close the shop, he sighed and gestured to you to go over to the counter, pulling out a white mug whilst making coffee.

It didn’t look like the rain would go any time soon.

Ryu Natsume; Blueberry Eyes [MAX ft. Suga] -

Ryu pulls you over to listen to this song he just found, the both of you sharing the same headphones in the middle of a crowded street.

You wished at least you both got a place to sit down instead of standing in front of a shop but his excitement was evident so you had to listen on the spot.

“Doesn’t this song remind you of me?,” Ryu would say cheekily.

“You have purple eyes ~” Playful banter crossed between the both of you.

He laughs at your response before patting your head, “Your answers are always so cute.”

The conversation wasn’t coherent but his bright eyes made up for everything.

Shiki Ando; Grace [ADOY];

The sun was setting and you were biking to a nearby park with Shiki.

He’s letting you drag him to a big tree by the lake, the wind making both of your hair a mess.

He laughs as he gently pushes your hair back, letting you lie on his shoulders staring at the setting sun.

As the sky gradually turns dark, the street lamps light up with a soft yellow.

There’s nothing distracting the both of you gazed at the sunset, talking about your eventual future together.

The soft wind being music to your ears.
