Argo has been following Theo around all day. They don't know what to say, but they just.. want to be around Theo.

Every time they see Theo having any sort of difficulty with their wounds they just try to hide..

Theo was in the kitchen doing something, and Argo is sitting on a kitchen counter. "Sorry if I'm being anoying."

Theo's preparing some apple slices and sandwiches, making a little extra to what he thinks he'll eat, just in case Argo's hungry. He won't push them to eat it if they don't want to, he's just making it in case they do. He's humming something as he works.

The moment he hears Argo, Theo looks up from what he's doing and puts the knife down. He leans against a counter, the wounds from his battle with Argo- or Atticus, or whoever he was fighting, nearly healed. They'll need a couple more days, at most.

"Argo, you could never be annoying. I'll always enjoy your presence."

I love how Poles cry that all productions are "Too woke", when the beloved cartoon of the boomers from the Polish People's Republic had a woke episode with Roma, which refuted the propaganda about the Roma stealing children and showed their culture

Simply put, productions from the Polish People's Republic have always been woke, and that was years ago before conservative Americans stole this word from black Americans

To whomever it might concern, know that I have not had any contact with Spongebob Squarepants until I was like 12 and on a summer camp, where another dude showed me his Spongebob key decoration. And then he lied to me that the figure was actually a mummy. And I believed him, because how else could have I known??

I grew up on four TV channels and the absolute peak that is Pat a Mat, Racochejl, Asterix and Bolek i Lolek.

The first american cartoon I was exposed to was when I was in second grade and some kid figured out how to watch fucking HAPPY TREE FRIENDS on the school computer.

It's always "omg how have you not grown up with [insert incredibly popular AMERICAN media]" maybe because I didn't fucking understand english at that time like I might not have known what Sesame Street was but have you ever seen Kouzelá školka? Huh? Cvrček55 ring any bells? No? Exactly. Piss off

How are you so good at character design like what do you use to practice and stuff

I dunno anon, it seems to have just kinda happened from being a teen drawing fancharacters in spriting forums

I guess some stuff has stuck with me from it- keeping detail low, or at least smart- the design has to mostly work as just blobs of colour, such as if it were a small sprite in an old game, right. having many influences help- I just learned and explored a lot of art, I guess, including places like john k's blog (talk about separating art and artist- you can probably get similar learning, if you want, from a better or less morally corrupt source in stuff like the animator's survival kit or preston blair's book) or so on

I guess what also helps is pastiche, right. can you draw your fancharacter so that they stand next to bugs bunny and daffy and look proper looney tunes? now, can you draw them next to mickey and goofy and change the design as needed so they still fit? or next to bolek and lolek? I think that's part of what's worked for me, I rarely draw characters in a vacuum- even if they're fully OCs for my own context, I still try to fit them within a tradition of cartooning or design that makes sense, and thus I have boundaries to guide myself by. I'm not gonna do an insane non-felix-like hairdo on cellar chateaux kyle and lucy stuff, OR if I do I'll accept that's going to be the main focus of the design and I'll balance out the other elements to not fight for attention, right?

does this make any sense? it's such a general question I'm not sure it does. I guess the tldr is "try to learn and practice out fitting your characters in other styles, and learn the basics of construction from animators etc, and consider spriting as part of the process as it forces you to focus more on general shapes and colours". it's how it worked for me at least
