He used to fit in the palm of my hand... 🥹

The next photo is him now with my hand for scale. He's a medium sized snake. I haven't measured him in a while, but I think he's around 5½ feet. Not a staggering difference, but he's definitely grown!

I got him on December 5th 2017! I've had him for 7 years!

His name is Indica. He's a boa constrictor, and a sharp sunglow morph (sunglow=albino+hypo).

I thought Carson Daly's suggested name "Boot's" was awesome, but Aaliyah didn't find it funny (lol) while on the MTV show "TRL (Total Request Live).

She decided to name her pet snake "Kermit". After her passing, I wonder if Aaliyah's mother still cared for the snake, if Rashad took it, or if they gave it away?

What’s your absolute FAVORITE tiny/little known fun fact about one of the daughters? Mine is that Anastasia saw Rasputin in her dreams because I also see him in mine!

I have just finished a lesson with Olga Nicolaievna; by myself again, I am expecting her sister Tatiana. The door opens and instead I see a very small girl coming towards me. She is carrying under her arm a big picture-book, which she ceremoniously put down on the table in front of me; then she gives me her hand and says in Russian: "I would like to learn French too." And without waiting for my answer, she climbs on to a chair, kneels on it, opens her book, and asks me, putting her tiny forefinger on a huge elephant: "What's this called in French?" Then I am confronted with a whole succession of lions, tigers, and well, almost all the creatures in the Ark. I join her in the game, very pleased with her great seriousness about this first lesson. Then the door opens again, and this time Tatiana comes in. The little girl, whose finger has just lighted on the boaconstrictor, claps the picture-book shut and jumps up. She holds out her hand to me once more, and in a very low voice says: "I'll come again tomorrow." Then she runs out of the room, clasping the book to her chest.

The Owl House - Hooty & Lilith - Pride Month Prompt 24 : Platonic Intimacy

Prompt : Write a gen fic where either one or both of the characters are on the aromantic spectrum and are navigating platonic intimacy Headcanon : Neurodivergent!Lilith (if you squint)

Lilith and Hooty were inseparable, much to the horror and amusement of everyone around them.

Hooty finally had someone who he knew truly loved him and, more importantly, liked him despite his insufferable personality.

Lilith finally had someone she could tell everything to without the binds of family stress or romance (the latter of which she'd never found appealing) and she knew that no matter what would happen, Hooty would always be there for her.

Maybe she found it a bit uncomfortable, the way he would wrap his tube body around her so tightly like a boaconstrictor, but it was theirs and so she loved it. Hooty was someone she could be affectionate with, in a wholesome and platonic way that the other men throughout her life had always tried to ruin with other advances.

And that was enough.

Silence for the snake show by Hadrien Lalagüe, France. Winner, behaviour: birds

Hadrien Lalagüe is rewarded for his patience with a perfect alignment of grey-winged trumpeters watching a boa slither past. Hadrien set up his camera trap by a track in the rainforest surrounding Guiana Space Center. He spent the next six months maintaining the camera kit against high humidity, plastic-munching ants and damage by poachers. This image was his reward. Trumpeters – named for their loud calls – spend most of their time foraging on the forest floor, eating ripe fruits, insects and the occasional small snake. The boa constrictor, more than 3 metres (9.8ft) long, could have made a meal of them. Location: Guiana Space Center, between Kourou and Sinnamary, French Guiana

Throwback to May 21st 2022, when that ridiculous Derecho hit Ottawa and left an absurd amount of people without power. I had to survive without power for 10 days. It was pretty intense, not to mention a tree fell on the house. That evening after the storm had passed, I took Indica out for some fresh air, enrichment, and a little photoshoot. He's a sharp sunglow boa.

Medea was standing there. Somehow Russell managed to slip past her. Taking the uniform pieces of one of her head guards. She held an expression of complete fury. She had other guards with her but she dismissed them the minute Silver came in either Casey and Damien.

She stormed over before any words could be shared. Once Damien and Casey were let go and pushed forward.

Medea back handed Casey violently. Causing her to collapse. The slap itself was enough to make Casey finally vomit all the blood and other nasty fluids in her system.

"You brat.. After all I've done. This is how you repay the last family you have..."

Medea spat in venom as she grit her teeth. Lilith hissing as she snuggled closer to Medea. She stormed over to her.

She had enough of this brat's games. Aggressively grabbing her Collar and pulling her close.

"You think that just because you're sister is gone means she's safe... No.. Once I've turned you into my project she's the first person I'll send you after. From there you'll be used as the dog you are.

Too bad your mother wasn't as strong willed as you are.."

For a woman who didn't have much physical attributes. Her presence and glare alone made whoever she was taking her anger out on feel suffocated.

It was like a boaconstrictor was wrapping it's body around her prey. She grabbed Casey's mouth and jaw to prevent any words from her as she leaned close.

"For this... I'll make sure any untested serum is given to you. I'll use you as not only the test dummy for these project assigned serums but I'll make sure to ruin your mind and body... I'll ensure that your sister has no one else to protect her."

Medea violently slammed Casey to the ground. Fracturing on of her arms in the process. Her body was weakening.. Made punishments like this easy.. But now..

She turned her head towards Damien. Her blood boiled more towards his actions. She turned and walked towards him. She grabbed him by the hair as she forced him to look up at her.

"And You. Who the hell are you to interfere with my project.. You finally gone soft.. Tell me. Do I need to push such punishments on you as well.. You wish to join that brat."

She spoke harshly. She knew where to poke people. Trauma, unwanted memories, those they've lost. She uses all sorts of tricks to get people to work with her. She may be uncaring but she can surely show how violent she can be.

She yanked his head back further. Her nails forcing one his eyes open. Slightly digging into his skin and causing minor blood to spill out of his new made wounds.

"I should gouge an eye out to make sure you learn to know when to interfere. Who you're interfering... Or should I steep deeper and hit where it would truly knock some sense into you."

She threatened as she removed her hand but harshly grabbed his chin. Her nails are now digging harshly into his skin. She couldn't have him ruin her project. Regardless of what instincts he may have.. She'll be sure to knock them down.

She threw Damien to the ground harshly. Glaring down at his beaten body. Slamming her heel onto his hand. Applying pressure she looked down at him darkly.

"If anything happens again... I'll be the one to punish you.... And I won't be so generous next time."

[He approached her, his spirits were high. This.. this normally wasn’t good news for anyone involved.]

“Oh Medea~?”

[He hummed out, the split faced doctor searched for his boss. The 2 had become.. close some might call it. Simply they shared the same views and twisted options as one another. He also had fallen in love with her snake, Lilith. It was just the most darling little thing. He could not help but give it treats every time he saw it.]

Medea was in her office per usual. Working on some paper work. Updating more files on the entities from Expendables she's heard from.. Well not directly heard from. But what little birdies have told her.

Upon hearing the humming voice sheet out a sigh before straightening up once Silver entered her office.

"What do you need Silver.."

She sighed out as she tapped her nail against her desk. She was somewhat cold towards Silver but overall showed him the proper amount of respect. She enjoyed hearing his wild ideas as it filled her own crazy ideas for new creations.

I love working with exotic animals! Today I got to hold a pregnant Columbian boa, a prehensile tailed skink, and an American alligator. These are all animals that were at my friends pet store or ones that belong to friends. I couldn't imagine my life without this excitement!
