Meet the DeLobb Brothers!

These 3 guys are ❤️ Redward, 💛 Yelliot and 🩵 Bluey DeLobb!

They are experienced Senior JPS Agents who once worked with Ella Pawman.

❤️ Redward DeLobb is the oldest, and most extroverted of the trio. He loves sports, fitness and helping others. He’s got a little bit of a “hero complex” that got him into trouble in the past.

💛 Yelliot DeLobb is the middle brother and is often the mediating “voice of reason”. He is intelligent and calm, speaking in monotone. He enjoys math puzzles, robotics and fixing things.

🩵 Bluey DeLobb is the youngest. He is extremely shy, and is totally mute due to social anxiety. He communicates with Sign Language in-person and gigantic walls of text online. He is a very talented 3D model artist.

Having Bluey talk would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for him and anyone listening. He communicates using American Sign Language because he has a phobia of speaking.

Cloud Dotcomm's History of Version Releases!

Eeek! It’s Cloud Dotcomm’s embarrassing old photos!

Here’s all the software releases for Brainstorm Software’s AI assistant. From a humble virtual pet, to a supercomputer-powered hologram (and secret spyware shh 🤫)

Version 1 - "Companion" is the first iteration of Cloud Dotcomm - although he is called "Birdy" in the developer files. Birdy is a virtual pet placed on a computer screen that can be fed, pet, cleaned and played with. He also experiences different moods that change his behaviour. Birdy was designed with vector graphics, so his individual body segments can be easily contorted and re-sized. He was designed and programmed by Cain as a final project for his university degree.

Versions 2 and 3 - "Brainstorm" is the second iteration of Cloud Dotcomm. He was designed and named "Cloud Dotcomm" by Cain's roommate Bluey DeLobb. He has basic animations and expressions similar to text emoticons. This version of Cloud abandons the "virtual pet" programming, and was programmed to teach first-time computer users. He also can play basic games like Chess, Tic-Tac-Toe and Poker against users. This iteration of Cloud was uploaded to Cain's personal website ("Brainstorm Software") for anyone to download and test with.

Versions 4 to 8 - "Assistant" is the third iteration of Cloud Dotcomm, also designed by Bluey DeLobb. He is programmed to read user input (mouse, keystrokes, running software, connected peripherals, etc.) and to ask relevant questions to help the user (sometimes, annoyingly so). This iteration focuses on basic life and office tasks such as e-mails, calendar scheduling, weather prediction and searching the internet. Now being sold through Cain's "Brainstorm Software" website, the popularity of this iteration made Cain incredibly rich!

Versions 9 and 10 - "Animated" is the fourth iteration of Cloud Dotcomm, and the first to be designed by Cain's employees as a lovable mascot for the "Brainstorm Software" company. He has thousands of programmed animations, and his head can be rotated in any direction. In addition to his previous programming, Cloud also focuses on assisting users in financial transactions and online shopping. This iteration was infamous for being the first to spy on user's internet browsing habits and secretly selling data to advertisers.

Versions 11 to 15 - "Portrait" is the fifth iteration of Cloud Dotcomm, adding arms for extra expressiveness. Cloud's self-learning AI algorithms begin at this iteration, and he now has the ability to generate new, non-pre-programmed sentences. Cloud appears in a frame on the user's screen, and is only designed with the top half of his body. Due to his AI algorithms and constant spyware habits, Cloud begins having unusual behaviours and glitches sometimes. He begins developing a personality outside of what he is programmed with.

Versions 16 to 18 - "Presentation" is the sixth iteration of Cloud Dotcomm, now with added legs and hundreds of different languages! At this stage, Cloud is an adored (and sometimes reviled) "tech personality" to users worldwide. Cain often used this iteration to construct and perform presentations on Brainstorm Software's newest products. Unfortunately, due to many years of spaghetti code, certain variables originating in Cloud's original "Birdy" form accidentally get re-enabled in this software release and beyond. Cloud Dotcomm now obsessively downloads any information possible once connected to a WiFi signal, without adhering to his storage limit. This can cause him to lag, crash, or get infected with a computer virus. This is the final "screen-only" release of Cloud Dotcomm before his debut as a holographic AI assistant.

Version 19 - "Reality" is the seventh and current iteration of Cloud Dotcomm, and it's his debut as a hologram! After purchasing him and connecting to WiFi, Cloud can be projected from his chrome ball from a central point in a home or business. He cannot interact with solid objects, and his hologram could break if it is punctured with a large object. The pop-up windows that he projects from his hands are interact-able. His new belt is an "ON/OFF" switch that will switch him off if someone pokes it. Unfortunately, this "hologram version" of Cloud is more glitchy than his "screen version". His colours also do not display correctly as a hologram due to airborne particles.

A majority of my OC names are jokes, references to other things, or something thematic to their character:

Ijinks H. Iwerx has a lot of name inspirations! Her first name “Ijinks” refers to “eye” and “hijinks”. Her last name “Iwerx” refers to the fact that only one of her eyes work (the other is blind). Her last name is also a reference to prolific animator Ub Iwerks. Finally, her middle name is “Heidi” which is a reference to old vintage animation using “hidey-ho”, “hidey-hee”, “hidey-hay”, etc in songs.

Wayne Gates is a corruption of “gains weight”.

Ella Pawman is named after the cat she was based on, also named Ella!

Hugh Forric sounds like “euphoric”, referring to the euphoric fedora guy meme.

Diana Diamondhart is named after both her beauty and gold-digging tendencies.

Dr. Ozmium Krypton Boomer’s name abbreviates to “OK Boomer”. It also refers to his expertise in chemistry and his ability to conjure fire.

Redward DeLobb, Yelliot DeLobb and Bluey DeLobb are named after their primary colours mixed with typical male names to contrast against their odd appearance.

Tips Fedora is named after his fedora and his suave, polite behaviour as a spy/private investigator.

Jonah T. Tentious… the “T. Tentious” part refers to “tea” (because he’s a living teapot) and it rhymes with “pretentious”.

Gene Beauregarde is named after actor Gene Wilder and character Violet Beauregarde in the 1971 “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” movie.

Cloud Dotcomm is a “marketing name” and is referencing the company who created him. Brainstorm Software created the “Cloud AI” software that allows Cloud Dotcomm to exist.

Dr. Marty Bananas… “Bananas” is due to him being a proboscis monkey with a stand-up comedy hobby. “Marty” is the name of the voice actor of the character he was originally based on (which is King Koo-Koo from “Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure”).

Mayor River Moon Willows is named after the willow tree, and the tendency of hippie characters to have names relating to nature.

Cherri Niwaki’s name refers to cherry trees and her Japanese heritage. “Niwaki” is Japanese for “garden tree”.

Charleston Waltz, Madison Waltz and Dizmo Waltz are referencing Walt Disney and dancing. “The Charleston” and “The Madison” are both old dance crazes. Dizmo’s name is a combination of “disco”, “gizmo” and “dismal”.

Beeball is… both a bee and a inflatable ball!

Dr. Hans Sans Panzer’s name refers to something catastrophic that happened to him in the past (the “Sillycon Valley incident”)! I’ll talk about this eventually.

I have three! The brothers Redward, Yelliot and Bluey DeLobb!

These 3 are old JPS agents previously trained under Ella's guidance. Their glory days are behind them, and they take care of the HQ in Sillycon Valley.

Their ages range from 40's - 50's. They are of a strange, unidentifiable species with FIVE FINGERS!!

❌⭕️ Jaycee:

She was in public school until halfway through second grade. She was pulled out and homeschooled after an incident at a show-and-tell presentation. She is naïve and extremely sheltered, falling behind in her education as a result.

🇨🇦 Cat Canada:

She had middle-to-below average grades in school. She coasted on being a star athlete in high school once she discovered her super powers. Wasn’t a huge troublemaker, but would cheat on assignments and tests if the opportunity was available.

👻 Wayne:

Total nerd in school, with straight-A’s in advanced courses. Classes were too easy, so he was never challenged. Went to the University of Mad Science in Ashgrave, but an MMORPG addiction stopped him from excelling. He dropped out once he dropped off the mortal coil.

💰 Hugh:

It was the early 1900’s, so he went to a little red schoolhouse. Was bullied often.

⭕️❌ Ella:

Same as Hugh, but fared better against bullies. She was forced to drop out in her preteen years to help her family’s vegetable farm.

💖 Diana:

Went to a wealthy, prestigious all-girl private school. On paper, she was a model student… but she often manipulated and psychologically bullied other girls into doing assignments for her. She graduated from university with help from a large donation from her father.

🐌 Dr. Hans Sans Panzer:

He grew up as a genius child prodigy in Germany and graduated high school early. Moved to Ashgrave to attend the University of Mad Science. Dr. HSP was a celebrated alumni… until his involvement in the “Sillycon Valley incident”.

🔴 Redward:

Average student, popular jock and class clown. Has a teaching degree, but never used it.

🟡 Yelliot:

Above-average intelligence, but was a very lazy student often sleeping in class. Excelled in any hands-on crafting class. Has an engineering degree.

🔵 Bluey:

Smart nerd who had star student potential, but was ignored and treated poorly by school staff due to his mutism. He blossomed in college after having a supportive, software programmer roommate named Cain. Bluey has a CADD degree and is a talented 3D modeller.

Bluey DeLobb is a senior JPS agent who has been working on a criminal case about a candy-poisoning incident.

Yes, this blue nerdy blob thing is going after a famous wanted individual!

Bluey DeLobb has dedicated over 15 years of his life to tracking down a criminal elder dragon chocolatier named Gene Beauregarde.

So far, Bluey DeLobb has tracked down all 5 of Gene’s victims, analyzed every news report, and collected photos of every Candy Kobold sighting. Bluey currently has a collection of 7 candy “soul-hearts” from Gene’s army of mass-produced candy dragons.

Despite little evidence of Gene’s current happenings and whereabouts, Bluey is hopelessly obsessed with this very strange, niche criminal. Bluey’s office in the JPS HQ building is covered in Gene Beauregarde-related material. This ranges from things related to detective work (photos, news clippings, maps, etc), to more unrelated things such as posters, candy, toys and promotional material for the Beauregarde Candy Corporation.
