Larger Vehicles, Passenger Rail, Construction Zone, Rural Gas Station, and a Big Peanut
In S2E46 āRoad Tripā the Heelers hit the road and there are a number of interesting details.
Itās previously been noted that most of the passenger trucks, vans, etc. in Bluey are compact but we get to see in this episode a convoy of slow large recreational vehicles (that Dad does not want to get stuck behindā¦)
A tandem tractor-trailer truck hauling cattleā¦
A passenger train, in Queensland Rail livery.
A construction zoneā¦
A rural gas station that merits a stop (to buy some sunnies (sunglasses))
And lastly, a Tourist Attraction, the Big Peanut, which is actually a real thing. (Itās in Tolga, approx. 20 hours(!) from Brisbane.)

"C'mon mommy!" Your little girl drags you to the living room, just having finished set up a "stage", 2 dining room chairs, an old pink sheet and construction paper with a background of a castle on a hill drawn in markers and crayons taped just above the sheet. It's for one of her performances she likes putting on now and again after writing her funny little stories.
Soon you're sat in the middle of the couch between her stuffed animals. Strawbeary, her large pink bear, to your right and her Bluey toy to your left. Soon a folded pieces of paper is put into the audiences hands, a crudely drawing fairy with a crown on it's head and a jumbled mess of 'The Fairy Princess' in sparkly gel pen. With enough glitter glue around the edges to choke someone to death.
"What's this?" You ask, your little one turning, now wearing what looks like mascara as a fake mustache. That old makeup you gave her really made her plays costume department thrive by the looks of it.
"It's a paybill!" She happily squeals, handing Bluey her paper.
"Playbill." You hear your husband correct her from the other room, you look into the hall wondering why he isn't being subjected to the audience like usual.
"A playbill!" She corrects herself, looking at you then back to the stage. Walking over she pushing her box of toys behind the curtain and grabs her fathers work jacket from the armchair near by. Putting it on and pushing the sleeves up to her little elbows as it swallows her. Crawling back behind the curtain her arm comes up, using Leon's flashlight and flicking it.
That's usually intermission... but God she really thought of everything.
Soon the room is filled with the sound of her ballet practice music from her room.
Ahhh, Leon must be a stage technician this time.
You hear your little one clear her throat, her tiny hand peaking above the sheet with a stuffed bunny in her hand.
"There once was a family of fairies that ruled a kingdom!" The bunny bounces slightly, fluffy ears wiggling as he's tousled around, her voice stretching with exaggeration. "In a kingdom of magical creatures! All happily living their lives as they could."
The bunny disappears, a Ken doll on a flip flop with a cotton ball pillow and tissue blanket appearing.
"But sadly, not everyone in the kingdom was doing well. The king was sick and the next heir needed to take the throne quickly before the king died. Because every marriage in the kingdom needed a royals blessing." Ken gets dropped to the floor with a clatter as the bunny appears again, the smile on your face only growing wider. Stifling a laugh as she continues.
"But there was a problem. No one in the kingdom wanted to marry the princess in line for the throne because she was different than any of the other fairy princesses..." Silence falls over the room for a few seconds. You hear shuffling, your daughters head poking out from behind the curtain towards the hall.
"Daddy, that's where you come in!" She harshly whispers before moving back into place.
"Sorry!" Settling in she repeats her line again.
"But there was a problem. No one in the kingdom wanted to marry the princess in line for the throne because she was different than any of the other fairy princesses."
You hear foot steps as your attention turns to the hall doorway as your husband steps through. You swallow your bottom lip, covering your mouth with your hand as you lean on your knees.
"oh my god..."
There Leon stood, your daughters bright white fairy wings on his back, straps stretched out way too far on him, the brightest pink lipstick you use to own smeared across his mouth and her princess tiara from a tea set she was given as a gift on his head. You desperately want to laugh at him but you can't. It would upset your daughter or worse... Make her cry.
You don't want to make your daughter cry.
"She was too tall for the other fairies to want to marry her!" You pull your hand from your mouth, gaining your control again. You mouth an 'I love you ' to Leon as he crosses his arms, not irritated but unamused, making the straps somehow stretch more against his shoulders. Your attention turns back to the bunny narrating the play.
"So the princess was sad and everyday she'd go to the pond not far from her castle. And sit with her only friend." The bunny dips down, being replaced by a frog plush, starting to bounce as your daughter spoke.
"Oh princess, why are you so sad?" Leon turns towards the frog, trying to put on his most delicate voice possible.
"No one wants to marry me frog. I just want someone to love me and... Help me protect my kingdom!" You let out a tiny giggle at his line stumble. He definitely wouldn't be winning a Tony anytime soon.
"I know what you need!" The frog sways energetically as he looks around. "I know of a place where you can have your wish granted."
The frog disappears and the bunnies back.
"So the fairy princess followed the frogs instructions to a wishing well in the middle of the woods. There she took out a coin, held it tight and threw it into the well while wishing for what she wanted most." Leon fished into his jeans and pulled out what looked like a button, tossing it behind the curtain.
"As she threw the coin a short handsome man came from the trees." Your daughter moves, fixing her fathers jacket back in place as she came to the front of the curtain.
"Who are you?" Says the very pretty fairy princess. Your daughter look up at Leon, face scrunched in what you guessed was supposed to be an angry expression.
"I'm the giant of this forest! What're you doing near my home!? Aren't you the kings daughter?" She asserts her voice to try sounding like a grown man but just ends up sounding like she's choking on something. You can't help but let out a tiny laugh and thankfully she's too busy with line delivery she doesn't seem to notice.
"I am the kings daughter! And you're a giant? But you're so small?" Leon glances down at his daughter, covering his own mouth as he tries keeping composure. She stomps her feet, readying herself to deliver her next line.
"Everyone says that I'm too small! I wish I could be bigger and show everyone home good I am."
"But I think you're perfectly fine the way you are. You're actually very handsome." Leon crouches down to her level, smiling at him as her eyes gleamed.
"And you're very beautiful madam. Would you like to be my wife?" Leon gasps excitedly, playing along with her enthusiasm. He always loved seeing his little girl look so excited.
"I'm not too tall for you?" The giant wraps his arms around the princess, hugging her tightly as he's hoisted into her arms. Leon carries her into the hallway and you raise your hands, about to clap when she rushes back in behind the curtain. Hoisting the bunny up.
"And so the giant and the fairy princess got married. Saving her kingdom and getting her fathers approval. Everyone lived happily ever after until the king died. The End!"
You start clapping as you stand up from the couch, your daughter coming out to take a bow, Leon coming back around the corner. He takes a little bow even before you get to your kids level.
"Honey, that was so good! Thank you for front row seats." She's jumping excitedly and smiles even wider when there's a knock at the door.
"Uncle Chris!" She screams running out of the living room. Leon freezes, staring at you while you stand.
"Chris is here?!" You look at him with a smirk.
"The boys are sleeping over tonight... Did you not remember?" Leon shakes his head starting to make a break for the hall.
"Uh, uh! I already texted Chris and he wants to see his nieces show... I didn't know you were gonna be in it though." You snort, covering your mouth as Leon looks at the hallway mirror and seems himself.
"Oh my God..." He looks mortified, knowing he's never gonna hear the end of this.
"Don't be so upset. At least you're the prettiest fairy princess in the whole house~"

Lessons Lee Mulligan
I want to be better at running tabletop games.
Iām not bad at it, by the way. I havenāt had to contend with players giving me complaints any time in the pastā¦ maybe fifteen years. The games I run generally receive praise and players show up because they want to play them. I am currently on a break from running a game though you know watch this space, but I still think of myself as a storyteller, a game runner, and it is with that in mind I have been gritting my teeth in frustration at how good Brennan Lee Mulligan is at it.
I donāt have any malice for the guy. I admit, I had a wildly incorrect read on him as a person when I first started watching him. Somewhere along the way he mentioned that heād never had alcohol or drugs, and I immediately started to edge him towards the āformon or exvangelicalā basket. Then in the Starstruck Oddysey campaign he mentions his motherās name and his godfatherās name and I realise that actually heās basically indie comics royalty, and that was quite a thing to realise.
Quite frankly, finding out how his mum feels about him and what she did for him as a child makes me feel very distressed because it seems so impossibly nice and good in ways that disorient me. Itās like watching Bluey, I canāt understand a world where a dad is that nice to his kids.
Still, Brennan Lee Mulligan is good at being a storyteller, dungeon master, game-master, whatever term you want to use, in a way that makes me want to take notes. Some of it is unuseful and unapplicable ā I donāt have a custom mini maker on hand and canāt afford one and donāt even get to play on a physical tabletop any more. Some of it is the comical pointlessness of the system that he uses ā watching D&D 5th edition involves needing to know almost nothing about the game, because all that really matters is if a number rolled is high or low, and heās used it for murder mysteries and criminal heists just fine, because whatever else the system is doing, the focus on what the story demands is all it needs to make function. Ā Instead I want to focus on things Brennan does that I think I can use in my own games.
I suppose just in case, Iām going to talk about some minor details from a Dimension 20 campaign, Fantasy High that talk ā obliquely ā about spoilers for the first and last episodes. You might not want to read this if thatās a thing for you.
Heās Very Good At Actual Improv
Shock, horror, the guy who ran an improve school and has had years of playing around in improve performance with his friends he trusts is really good at it. The ability to build on what others are doing, enabling them in how they do it, and to trust them to not fuck up what youāre telling them, or the vibes youāre putting onto your
This isnāt a radical diagnosis of his storyteller abilities. Brennanās job involves numerous other types of web show, including appearances on Game Changers and Make Some Noise which are both shows built out of improvisational comedy.
What can I extract from that though?
An immediate thought is that Brennan is careful with word choice and is extremely unselfconscious about others. Commonly in his dialogue you can hear the phrase you see that they say, which is obviously, when extracted, gibberish ā at best itās padding. Itās also, and this is important: fucking fine. People donāt make supercuts of him saying that, they make single big cuts of the thoughtfully constructed improvised monologues, which are delivered with the high dudgeon of a preacher. I think those are like lego constructions ā he knows the pieces, he knows the structure to fill them out, and fills the spaces for them piece by piece.
General knowledge and presentation is useful for this skill. Be aware of a wide variety of ways people communicate, for example. Itās not like Brennan is a master of voices ā you generally can tell youāre hearing Brennan say something when he voices an NPC ā but the fact he has a swathe of different ways of talking, a bunch of Different Guys to dream up and get mad at ā is a useful part of the skillset.
I donāt have players (at the moment) who are avidly into this kind of thing. But recognising the players as audience to experiences, and not players antsily waiting their own turn, is useful. I think Brennan treats solo interactions with players away from the group as if those interactions are interesting and fun for other players to watch, and part of that is, I think, built out of treating engagements as performances. They arenāt things to get out of the way, theyāre the material players and people are there to watch.
He Does Put In The Work Ahead Of Time
I have a theory about the conclusion of the first Dimension 20 campaign. Itās not provable and I honestly donāt care to hear Brennanās take on it, because it doesnāt matter if itās true or not. What matters is what it tells me about whatās possible.
For those of you unfamiliar, Fantasy Highās first campaign was centered in a magical high school for adventurers. It introduced the players to the character of Arthur Aguefort, a delightfully reckless wizard with preposterous power in the field of Chronomancy that seemingly is always one step ahead of whatever his silly actions indicate. In this same story, thereās a prophecy, keeping a dreadful villain contained, and that villainās containment is breached at the very end of the story, and then there needs to be stuff around that prophecy. Itās a pretty good story, especially in the way that Arthurās plan is seemingly derailed by the player characters dying in episode 2, and then he sacrifices his life to bring them back. At the end of the story, Arthur comes back to life, in a big dramatic moment that gives everyone a chance to refresh mid-fight with a boss thatās otherwise a bit beyond their abilities. Cool story, cool bit, and it all dovetailed with the prophecy, because of the specific character who died getting a miraculous natural 20 at the last moment.
Except.
I think that with the way the prophecy was worded, and with the secondary details and characters connected around them, it would be entirely possible to conclude the prophecy and defeat the baddie if any of the other characters had been the person to do it. The character who triggered this refresh didnāt have to be who it was, anyone could have done it and the explanation of the prophecy would work just fine, thanks to some homonyms. If Iām right, not only is this a cool mentalism trick that makes Brennan look psychic, but itās also an example of the powerful advantages of being prepared ahead of time for a spreading network of possibilities. Ā
I donāt do as much prep work as I want to do. Or rather, more correctly, I donāt do as much prep work for my games as I want to have done when the time comes to run the game. The difference is pretty subtle, but itās present. Part of it is, I think that prep feels both easy and boring, the deadliest mix of things for my kind of player mindset. When introducing players to locations I so rarely have lists of things like NPC names and random traits on hand for them to grab a stranger off the street to talk to, and keeping those characters distinct from one another is easier when I have those tools on hand. Having short descriptors of places, lists of street names, just the detritus that makes up a place, that would make life easier for me when trying to organise details and let me use a lot of anchoring details.
Making those lists, however, is pretty tedious!
What makes this even funnier in the context of the now is that really, āmake me a list of descriptions of NPCs for a steampunk street in Vienna,ā is exactly the kind of thing that a large language model software system would be really good at but doing that runs the risk of generating characters that sound boring, and Iām not wild about the idea of engaging with those systems where I donāt have to.
Conclusion
If youāre like me, an older millennial whoās never succeeded at much of meaning, and you see cool people doing things around you that you think āoh wow Iād love to be doing that,ā you donāt have to let it fester in you and make you sad. You can take their examples and use them as guideposts for how you can do the things you want to do. Engineering someone elseās success is impossible, but you can at the very least recognise what it is about how they work that excites you.

Gaz taking care of his babies while his wife has a birthday spa day? š„¹š„¹š„¹š„¹
this is... something? i tried okay <3
you'd heard horror stories from other wives about leaving your kids alone with your kids alone with just their dad, but you knew that when it came to kyle--you didn't have a single thing to worry about.
that man had the kids routines memorised, even when he was off on the other side of the world fighting the monsters that hide in the dark. he knew when to call to say goodnight, if he could, when not to call because it would be bath time, and what football team his sons under 7's team were playing every week.Ā
kyle garrick was a great father and a fantastic husband--having sent you off for a birthday spa retreat where you could truly have some time off from being a mother. you carried the family when he was away, so when he wasn't deployed he made every second count, and took on the weight of the family.Ā
he hadn't wanted to bother you with updates during your day and night away, so he and the kids had instead taken plenty of photos and videos to show you when you came back.
you sit now on your family's couch, snuggled up to kyle while your kids cuddle up on each side of you, and you all watch the video kyle had put together.Ā
the first shot is a video of you driving away, them saying they loved you and to have a good time, then the camera immediately cut to a video of them all in the kitchen, baking a cake for you'd return. both of your children throw flour at each other, while kyle films the whole thing. then it shifts to a picture of him back in the kitchen, the entire place spotless with him and the kids grinning.Ā
after the cake chaos, there are clips of them all gaming together for their allotted screen time. kyle had used the couch cushions to construct makeshift cars while the kids played mario kart. your son let his younger sister win at least once, and the image of the characters on the podium makes you smile. the camera was even left running to capture the kids not complaining even once when their dad tells them it's time to finish.Ā
and then came the clips of bedtime--your daughters first. her and kyle were currently working through a re-read of her set of bluey books. there's one book in the set she never lets you read, only her dada. you watch kyle sit next to your girl, reading the story with such enthusiasm and even doing his terribly amazing australian accent.Ā
next was your son's bedtime, and seeing your two boys together always warms your heart. kyle is always teaching your son to be the best little man he can be, even if it's not the traditional way of being. you watch as your son asks questions about how much his dada loves you, as he wonders aloud about his future spouse.Ā
the video comes to a close with a shot of kyle in your shared bed, clutching your pillow close to him as he cuddles up for the night.Ā
"aww, I love it. I'm so glad you all had such a good time while I was gone!" you smile from ear to ear, heart completely full at the video made by your family.Ā
"we did!" your son cheers, just a touch too loudly in your ear. "did you have a good time?"Ā
you nod fervently, your smile mirrored on your kids faces. you pull your son in for a smooch to the cheek, as your daughter cuddles close to her dadam "yes baby, i did, though i missed you all so much."Ā
which is the truth, you did miss your family while you were gone, but you also really appreciated some time just for yourself. you make a mental note to return the favour for kyle, or to arrange something for just the two of you.
"go grab your mum's cake from the fridge, yeah?" kyle says, sending the kids out of the living room and into the kitchen, giving the two of you time alone.
you turn to your husband, about to thank him when he pulls you in for a deep, sensual kiss. your eyes flutter shut, as kyle kisses you like he's missed you for so long, not just a night.
"i love you, kyle." you sigh into his lips.
"love you too." he replies, before smirking filthily. "got a video to show you later though, your eyes only."Ā

Imagine Sarahās first iPad
I feel like Joel would be a "no-Ipad till you're married" kinda house, until momma gets her one when she's like a teen.
But let's say she did get one at the ripe age of 3....
Construction videos. DIY. House Hunters. Renovation nightmares. That's the content Joel's gonna program on there, and she really doesn't care because she doesn't know anything else, but she thinks this shit is GOOD.
And its fun for him until she critiquing about Joel's choice of wood in the kitchen and the colors of the hallway, and then he's switching it up Peppa Pig and Bluey and restricting her HGTV time.

Here's some eeveelution stuff because why not
I've been drawing some evolutions for a while now and decided to share them I hope you like my characters!
[You're going to see that I love incorporating the shiny designs in these characters]
So this is Copper she was originally going to be a little one-off drawing, I was just like "I should draw an Eevee from memory today" and that's how she came to be. She's an energetic kid and wants to be a good battler just like her mom.
[also all of the characters don't have stats or natures or anything like that yet at least if I do come up with something like that I might put it in a separate post. I'd also like to hear your opinions because I'm not very knowledgeable on that stuff]
This is Copper's mom Stella! She's a bit hard on Copper but she means well. She's actually a descendant of the Espeon in red's team. She's stoic and serious the majority of the time.
This is Wave, Copper's dad! He's a more go with the flow type of guy he's extremely chill Copper actually gets most of her traits from him even though she lives with her mom the most. (they're not divorced or anything they just have different trainers) he's kinda like bandit from bluey.
This is Spark. Copper's uncle, Wave's brother. He's the oldest out of the three so that means that he worries and panics the most. He doesn't have any animosity or resentment to his siblings he just grew up with the mentality that he always had to be the "protector, the leader, the one in charge"
This is Ruby. Copper's aunt She's the second oldest and actually decided to be in the show biz, despite what happened to her parents. She was actually the first of the three siblings to get a trainer and it's kinda strained her relationship with her siblings. She rarely talks to them anymore, they still care about each other of course but it was such a weird feeling. Despite the horrible thing that happened to their parents why would she want to pursue that career?
[also if you're wondering what happened to their parents I think I might make that a separate post so out for that if you're interested!]
And so that concludes my showcase of my Pokemon OCs! They were really fun to work on and I can't wait to make more stuff for them in the future.
Are there any questions, comments, concerns, anything you think needs to be improved upon? I'm open to constructive criticism for my story (not my art tho but that's besides the point) also I wanna thank @lockandkeyhyena (sorry for the tag) for inspiring me to do this I love their characters and stories I'm glad he let me ramble in his inbox about them lol.

New series in my journal I'm starting called "Lil' Critic Reviews" where I review some of my favourite things! These are some of my favourite shows!
Text version under cut;
Toopy & Binoo
I know the visual style and animation really isn't that appealing, but it's a very important childhood comfort show for me. I see myself in Binoo a lot, and Toopy is the exact kind of person I'd want caregiving for me, so it's very cathartic to explore this dynamic through the show.
Thomas The Tank Engine
There's nothing I can say that would truly capture how much I adore this show (and the original Railway Series books too!) I think the model engines are the most adorable things I've ever seen and I love the set designs, and I love that, even though this is a series about talking trains, it still feels like Sodor is a real place that any kid can visit while still being whimsical. It bridges the gap between realism and one's imagination.
Gabby's Dollhouse
A newer show that I feel is highly underrated, and by the same creators of Blue's Clues! Gabby's Dollhouse feels almost like a spiritual successor, where instead of a man and his cartoon dog, it's a teenaged girl and her dollhouse of toy kitties who come to life! It's such a fun and colourful show with a lot of songs that are sure to get stuck in your head, please try it out sometime!!
Elmo's World
I'm putting this one instead of the main Sesame Street show because the networks I grew up on here in Canada didn't have Sesame Street at the time, but they sure did have Elmo's World! I love that everything in his world (except for him and Dorthey) is drawn out of crayons (and, according to Elmo, there might not be a way out of Elmo's World!) It's such a funny and cute show, I love it!
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
This show is so nostalgic for me!!! I think Lauren Faust is an incredible artist and I adore how her style really shines through in this show with the visuals. The characters are also so memorable and have made themselves pop culture icons. I also really like the world-building in the show, even if it's sometimes very messy and contradicts itselfā¦
Bluey
This one's a mandatory one, but Bluey really is a beautiful show. So beautiful in fact, that I can't watch it for very long, otherwise I get so emotional from how healthily the Heeler family is depicted. They're far from being perfect, but they love each other, and it makes me so happy that the kids growing up today have a show like Bluey that shows them what a supportive and healthy family looks like.
Bob The Builder
This is one I'm starting to get back into, but I really love it heheā¦ I think the thing I love about it the most is the fact that each of the construction vehicles look like you could pick them up and play with them, and everything in their world is built like it was crafted by a kid! I also think Pilchard and Dizzy are adorable!!!
Pikwik Pack
Another show that I feel is highly underrated is Pikwik Pack! Through land, sea, and air, this crew of critters will make sure that any package gets delivered! I adore the visuals and artwork in this show- simple, yet so memorable and inspiring. It's pretty formulaic, so if it's perfect for when I want something reliable to watch.

Bluey was still feeling rather gloom and decided to slip away from her teammates shortly after finishing cutting the wood for the recent construction gig the guilds got roped into. While she'd always loved helping people, and even though she had done a good job cutting the wood evenly it did little to lift her spirits and she wasn't entirely keen on getting dragged somewhere by Tuca in her current state. Bluey sighed as she walked down the dirt path that led back towards Lakeside. She fiddled with her claws as her eyes stare blankly at the ground, lost in her own thoughts. Maybe she didn't do a good enough job on the thindle, maybe it was too simple...maybe it was too colorful...or was it too cheesy of a concept? Not that any of that mattered now but she couldn't help but wonder what she could have done better, it felt like a whole year of her life was wasted when she had to break it, she had foolishly put so much of her own worth and self-confidence in hope her confession would have gone the way she had wanted. Her mood dipped further feeling selfish about how she was feeling, it wasn't like it was anyone's fault but her own she felt hurt and maybe it was little selfish of her to want something different. Bluey stopped in her tracks and smacked the top of her helm out of frustration, and with an angry growl mixed with the echoing sound of metal impacting metal, she shook her head to try and push these thoughts out of her mind, mumbling to herself, "You are such a big baby, Bluey. You need to grow up."
She stood in silence for a few moments frowning at the ground angry at herself for feeling bad, before she was pulled out of her thoughts by the sound of unfamiliar voices coming from farther up the road. Placing her hands on her cheeks she smacked the tears that had weld up from her eyes and shook off her feelings to put on her usual bright front she tried to maintain in public, Bluey has to show that she's bold, bright, and full of life. Can't have herself looking like she was upset, especially if the PokƩmon ahead were new in town, her guild wouldn't very well be represented by a dull gloomy face, even though inside she wasn't feeling like her usual self today. Without hesitating further, she put on a hopefully not forced looking smile and continued her walk up the road, as she got closer she noticed a group of pokemon standing next to a lop sided wagon, it seemed a caravan was coming through and one of the wagons lost a wheel, as she walked closer to see if they needed help she started to pick up bits of the conversation.
"How did this happen?" A Mr. Mime sighed scratching the back of his head looking at the busted wheel "I don't know I was trying to pull it out of the ditch, and everything was just fine then there was a snap, and the wheel flew off!" A Tauros said shaking his head in disbelief. "What do you think Smidge? Is it repairable?" The Mime asked a Grafaiai next to him. "We'd need a whole new beam for the wheels" She frowned, "The Axel was the part of the wagon that failed. We'd need to find a bar to replace it or at least temporarily replace it till we can get in town for a full repair." "I could help y'all with that!" Bluey called as she approached the group. "Unless you got a wagon axel on you, I don't know if you can little lady." the Tauros frowned as the Mime gently thwacked his side with a gloved hand for coming across as rude. "Forgive my companion, it's been a long day. We've spent the past hour trying to pull our wagon out of this road divot we missed and in doing so we damaged it further. The strange smell from the forest nearby hasn't been pleasant while we've been trying to get ourselves out of this pickle. Its got a few of us pretty grumpy. The rest of our group couldn't stand it much more and went on ahead without us." "Oh well that's unfortunate. The vile wilds tend to have a disorienting effect of people, so I say you got lucky that you only stumbled on a hidden ditch. As for that Axel, I don't happen to have one, but I can carve one that should last you long enough to get your caravan to Lakeside." Bluey said as she displayed her blades, "I'm a pretty good wood worker." "We'd appreciate the help, I definitely don't want to leave this wagon behind to head into town and walk back to repair it. It's got a lot of our stage gear in it." The Mime said with a tired smile. "Oh, you are performers! For a moment I thought you may have been traders coming into town from Onryx City. But if you hand me the Axel pieces so I can get a rough thickness and length idea I can easily patch that up." "No, but we did have a show there!" The Mime chimed as he fetched the two broken pieces. Bluey examined the pieces and laid them flat on the road where she used the length of her blades and the width of her hooves to measure the dimensions before trotting over to a tree to carve out a large enough plank of wood to whittle down. As Bluey carved the wood the Mime sat crisscrossed on a nearby stump, watching her with a keen eye, after a few moments of silence he piped up "I hope this doesn't sound...weird, but are you by chance from Painted Sands?" "Huh? Oh y-yeah I was born there! Thats a very specific observation, not probing my mind are you?" She said with a raised brow, "why do you ask?" "O-Oh goodness no! I just happened to notice that trinket around your neck that's peaking out from your poncho from time to time. Thats a whats it called-" He trailed for a moment snapping his fingers in thought, "A thindle! Thats what that is right?" "Oh uh yeah it is. It's my personal one I made to represent myself. We all do it when we turn 18. I'm surprised you know what it is, have you been there before?" "Oh yeah, our companion Nina is from there, so we perform there at least once every year! Gives her a chance to catch up with her family and I've always liked how lively that city is." He smiled pulling out a trinket from behind his collar, "I even made myself one last year when we visited."
"Oh that's lovely" Bluey smiled looking at the swirled design of whites and blues, "Is that bone? Thats an interesting medium to use." "Yeah, when I was a kid, I took a pretty nasty hit to the face and knocked out my two front teeth, luckily they were baby teeth and grew back. But as you can see, I got some pretty big teeth, kept them for a long time because the story over the years has become kind of a funny one to me and I thought why not represent myself with well...some of myself." "You know that's actually a pretty clever approach to a personal one. Shows how creative you are."
"I'd like to think I am." He chuckled. "What about yours" "Hmm? Oh, it's mostly Quartzite. It's a strong stone that's pretty resistant to weathering. It takes a beating but keeps on going. It's also pretty diverse in color due to minerals, so I thought it best represented me considering the diversity of species in my family." "Sounds like a sturdy and reliable material to work with." He nodded earning a smile from Bluey for reading into the reliable aspect of it. As she continued to work while the two talked, time seemed to pass quickly as it didn't seem to take too much longer to replace the Axel and get the wagon back on the road again. As the group prepared to head off the Mime approached Bluey with a beaming smile. "Thank you so much for the help. We greatly appreciate it. If you ever come to see one of our shows, we'll let you in for free as thanks for getting us back on the road again." "Oh it's no trouble. I'm happy to help where I can. It was nice to meet you, sir." "It was a genuine pleasure to make your acquaintance, miss...I don't think I got your name..." He said tilting his head. "Bluey Bonozo of the Lakeside Partisan guild." She smiled offering her hand for a handshake. "Bonozo? Aha! A fellow member of the Mr. Mime family! I knew I felt a kindred spirit. I'm Peak Winters, head honcho of the Tall Tale Travelers. Again, it was a genuine pleasure to meet you, Miss Bonozo." Peak beamed as he grasped her forearm for a firm handshake. "Likewise! I hope you and your companions the best." Bluey smiled. With that the PokƩmon went on their separate ways, but Bluey found herself feeling much better having her mind taken off of what had gone wrong earlier in the day. It was nice getting to meet more members of the Mime evolution line.

A long list of HTF headcanons but theyāre the stupid ones I thought of to be funny
Giggles often guilt trips Nutty by reminding him of all the starving children in foreign countries that would be well fed if he just ate the 6 green beans on his plate (he has severe ARFID)
Lifty and Shifty are trans men with top surgery but theyāre poor so they could only afford to remove one boob each so when Shifty isnāt wearing his hat the only way to tell them apart is by who has the right or left boob
Pop once spent an entire day watching skibbity toilet vs Friday Night Funkin mod comps to try and find secret codes because he was convinced that the gen alpha elsagate on cubs IPad was indoctrinating him into a cult somehow
Russell talks like a senile old person (heās 35)
Giggles is, in mind and spirit, a white millennial democrat from Portland, Oregon with a coexist bumper sticker
Mime has hoof hands but wears gloves which by cartoon logic work perfectly like hands
Splendid was sent down to planet earth cause by his species standards he was an ugly baby (he was an adorable baby by earth standards)
splendid is super tall, like lumpys height with freakishly humanoid ultra buff proportions. People still have trouble recognizing him in his civilian disguise
Splendids secret identity is named Typically. Splendontās is Typicnonely.
Russell has a whole set of proper prosthetics but actively chooses to wear his own shoddily made custom ones
Handy voiceclaim: that one Spongebob bg character that went āOH BROTHER, this guy STINKSā
Flaky poses for photos like those Zach Hadel stock images
Sniffles is a cartoon reviewer who gets mad at childrenās shows
Toothy is disowned by his entire family because he doesnāt wanna do construction
Flippy once suplexed a toddler for the last bluey plush. No it wasnāt Fliqpy fronting it was just Flippy.
Mole only speaks when heās threatening people
Tiger General became a superfascist who tried to take over the world cause when he was a lad kids made fun of him for being tall
Nutty probably unironically enjoys object shows

Details in the āThree Pigsā Minisode
When Dad is telling the funny version of the story of the three pigs to Bluey and Bingo, he mentions one of the pigs ācacking herselfā laughing while filming the wolf for social media. Literal translation of ācackingā or ācack your pantsā is uh, crapping your pants (because something is so funny) My parents are from England and they also say this occasionally.
Dad also references Besser blocks as a building material for the pigs, thatās a brand name of concrete construction blocks. Hammerbarn probably has āem.
The Broncos are the Brisbane Broncos, an Australian Rugby team.
A quick internet search seems to indicate thereās no such thing as a chemical treatment for pools that changes color if you pee in a pool. But this is just a made-up story.

A few more Aussie Pokemon to add to my collection!
Bliter: A cheery young pup, this cheeky little blighter loves digging anywhere and everywhere- blue heeler/Bluey inspired ("cheeky blighter" is often an affectionate term for a slightly naughty little kid)
Drover: Evolves from bliter. This Pokemon is very tough and a hard worker, very loyal to their trainer and protective of their fellow pokemon- based on red heelers and Aussie stockmen/cowboys (called drovers)
Wambi: These little guys may look cute and chubby, but they're surprisingly fast and built of solid muscle! Love to be thrown and kicked around by groups of roolenko- based on wombats and Aussie rules football and rugby balls
Roolenko: Extremely athletic and active Pokemon, who love to compete with one another and play games using wambi as balls- inspired by kangaroos and footy players (the name is inspired by the famous line "Jesaulenko you beauty!!" about a famous mark by player Alex Jesaulenko)
Tazzle: These Pokemon are notorious for their awful terrifying cries and intimidating teeth, but they are in fact quite cowardly and easily spooked. They like to steal, but if interrupted will scatter- inspired by Tassie devils and young vagabonds
Thylager: This Pokemon is ferocious and extremely proud. It is said that thylagers construct and reinforce their armor throughout their lives, slowly making them more complex and elaborate. The one with the best armour is the leader of the pack- based on thylacines (Tasmanian tigers) and the famous bushranger Ned Kelly and his gang
While these Pokemon aren't specifically designed to my personal tastes (I'm a quadruped fan, so if I was making Pokemon to suit my own preferences both drover and thylager would be four legged) these were all just ideas that I came up with brainstorming and thought were fun! Roolenko is kinda hideous but I could not resist giving him a classic mullet and mo combo and some footy shorts, and now I can't help but love him lol

bluey has adhd and bingo is autistic i don't take constructive criticism
evidence:
- bluey is shown to be forgetful and easily distracted when playing hide and seek
- bingo is quiet and notices things others don't (the walking leaf)
- bluey is hyperactive (this is pretty clear in every episode but she is also a kid lol)
- bingo has trouble communicating her feelings. in one episode she even uses the yes/no button (nonverbal??)
- bingo is sensitive and easily hurt
- bluey has trouble understanding when she's hurt someone's feelings
- bluey asks a lot of questions about why things are the way they are (again, also still a kid and still learning)
- bluey develops slower and in a different manner than all the other kids in baby race
and finally
- im autistic and i said so
there are probably more but this is all that comes to mind. i haven't watched the full series, was doing so on Spotify but now i cant find it so it may have been taken down :(
#bluey#bluey show#bingo#bluey heeler#bingo heeler#this is just for fun dont come for me#yes i kin bingo. yes im 20 years old. we exist
