I imagine nessian would have made it very clear she wasn't allowed to cover their bites, so I'm sensing some disciplinary action might be resorted to, to make sure she doesn't do it again?

But then I also really like the idea of it not bothering them? Taking the stance of 'cover the ones on your neck and we'll give you ones on your thighs too, and those pretty wrists of yours. What about your collar bones also, for good measure?' 🫣

There are just so many options! So many wonderful possibilities!! I might write the 'main' fic of nessian taking her for a bloodpet, then a little drabble of what they'd do if she tried to cover their marks. If that's something people would be interested in? 👀

May Monster Madness #7

A month of practicing the principles laid out in the essays of Kobold Guide to Monsters from Kobold Press.

Hungry Spirits. Born from the soil of ancient battlefields, bloodpetal spirits have an insatiable need for humanoid blood. It flows through their stems and leaves in place of water or sap, sustaining and strengthening them. When the ancient blood in the soil has been sucked up through their branching roots, they set out for fresher prey. Whole herds of bloodpetal spirits have been spotted on the move, looking for all the world like a moving field of wildflowers.

Am-bush Predators. Bloodpetal spirits are patient, willing to wait for days or weeks at a time for living prey to approach. During that time, the energy that would have gone toward walking or climbing is directed to creating lush and fragrant flowers. When a foolish humanoid or herbivorous animal approaches to examine the sight, the bloodpetal spirit strikes with its vicious claws. If the claws connect, the unfortunate creature gets dragged into the rosebush where the scraping thorns quickly extract a blood meal. The spirit repeats this process until its prey escapes or until it succumbs to its wounds, fertilizing the ground around the spirit for a time. But the spirit will inevitably feel the pang of hunger again, and once more venture forth for bloodier pastures.

Adventure Hooks

A valuable weapon lies somewhere on the Asharn Plateau but a horde of bloodpetal spirits make exploration difficult for the unprepared. Can the heroes retrieve the artifact without becoming fertilizer?

A gardener has gone missing on the grounds of Fergalt Manor, eaten by a vicious (and newly planted) rosebush. Who could have put it there? And what other dangerous botanicals might lurk in the hedges?

Actions

Multiattack. The bloodpetal spirit makes one attack with its claws. If that attack hits, it can make one thirsting thorns attack against the same target.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) slashing damage.

Thirsting Thorns. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage. and the bloodpetal spirit heals for an equal amount.

Oh anon. In a word: yes. I'm a real packrat in WoW (way more than real life), so I got all kinds of weird stuff. Come with me on a tour of my rarities collection!

First and probably best, what collection would be complete without Alliance body parts from the original version of Alterac Valley? It bugs me I don't have a full set, but what can ya do?

I still have some Really Sticky Glue, a quest reward from early Durotar that came out of the game at Cataclysm.

I've got some weird quest items that stayed in your inventory after the quest was over, like the Bloodpetal Zapper from Un'goro Crater, or the Torch of Retribution from Searing Gorge.

That ring in the previous screenshot is the Seal of Ascension, the result of a long questline in Blackrock Mountain before Cataclysm that was pretty cool.

I've still got the Argent Dawn Commission, the trinket that let you collect Scourgestones in the Plaguelands.

How about the Darkspear Shroud from the pre-Cataclysm troll event, or every copy of the Horseman's Helm, Horseman's Horrific Helm, or Horseman's Horrific Hood I've ever looted, for some reason?

I mean, what am I doing? You gotta hang on to your Barov Peasant Caller (Also removed in Cat), you never know when you'll need some peasants.

From the Legion Invasion before Naxxramas dropped back in vanilla, I still have these recolored pieces of the paladin Judgement set. I even have Argent Dawn Banner, a trinket that has the same visual effect as Consecrate. For a little while, an Orc Paladin was on duty.

It's not just old stuff. I hung on to a couple of these Scourgestones from the pre-Shadowlands event, just 'cuz.

My void storage is full of junk I held onto for cosmetic purposes that I could get rid of since the transmog overhaul, but I've been too lazy. But there's some gems in there, like Thun'grim's Axe, the first piece of gear warriors could get crafted during class-specific quests in vanilla. I miss content like that, for real. Or Linken's Sword of Mastery from the many Legend of Zelda references in Un'Goro.

I forgot all about this small collection of Thrown weapons from before that type was taken out. That harpoon was the size of a polearm, and chucking it at people was always funny.

Probably a bunch of other stuff, too, but I think we can all agree this post is long enough. But before I go, I know it's still obtainable and all, but speaking of old stuff, I feel obligated to ask... did somebody say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?

You're not gonna believe this, but Thunderfury drew some admirers while I was posting that screenshot.

Vampire nessian who refuse to touch reader intimately till they're sure she's consenting. Soemthing about the blood sucking greatly arouses you (weather they administer an aphrodesiac as part of their vampire nature or simply that youve never been that close with soemon) and they know that! While you sat there begging all teary eyed and out of it after they've fed from you they treat you like a a baby. They don't wanna give into you so they do their best to make you comfortable no matter how much you try to engage.

Later on you make them wait as revenge 😈

I'm torn between a setting with nessian taking reader from a brothel and reader being desperate for them to bite her so she can have their venom softening her body again but nessian want her to conscious and aware while they drink from her and taking care of her loads to make sure she's comfortable after spending so long in the brothel

But also reader feeling trapped in the brothel until Cassian scents her and they buy out her contract and then nessian take her as their good little bloodpet, with Nesta using her absolute terror to manipulate reader into being good and behaving for them 👀

It's the spooky season, we need at least a little bit of fear in these vampire fics!

I do very much like the idea of reader getting nessian back, or provoking them in some way. Maybe with reader wrapping some sheer black silk around her throat, so they can still see their bite marks but reader's partially concealed and the suggestion of a pulse beneath the material drives them wild 😳🫣

Can we backtrack a couple AUs bc I have questions LOL That post w/ Vamp!Day at Zenos' kink party - Is it a thing that vampires have their human pets in collars & leashes as a hierarchical thing or is this a bedroom/relationship dependant thing? What is the relationship between vampires & their pets generally like? Are they bloodbags, romantic partners or? Is it normal to have human pets or is it a luxury? Also, do you headcanon that Day has had pets before mc & if he only has one at a time?

I think the collars and leashes were only for the kink party (and it’s just coincidence vamp!Day has MC wearing a collar more often than that *cough*)

All vampires are dominant over their pets, and the relationship between a vampire and their bloodpet (if they have one) is always deeply intimate and has sexual undertones, but they’re not always romantic or sexual. Feelings vary between individuals.

Having pets is... I guess kind of a luxury. It’s nice to always know your blood supply is secure, but a lot of vampires can’t/don’t want to deal with caring for a human. Some are always on the move, so having a human bloodpet is not optimal.

I do think Day has had pets before MC (and he always has only one at a time) He’s lived a long time. Though in this case, I think MC is more special than any of them.
