Bachira and Rin: A Brief Yet Fateful Encounter

Before I was in deep with the Nanarin ship, I remembered back then of how I was besotted with the Bachirin ship.

It's the second ship from the franchise back then that made me intrigued and dare I say it fully invested at.

When we met Bachira, he was presented as a cheerful yet strange person. He immediately took a liking to Isagi and befriended him on the spot, talking about how he followed his monster's voices and how it was interested in Isagi's character. It's fairly amusing to see especially Isagi having that big confounded look on his eyes because of his weirdness but accepted it later on even if he doesn't really understand it.

It was a stark contrast to Rin's character when he was presented for the the first time. Everybody was in awe of him yet intimidated by his closed off and misanthropic personality.

Things get interesting during the second selection when Isagi failed to win against their team and Bachira was taken away from him.

Now it came to a point that their interactions caught my attention no matter how brief it was.

They were polar opposites with each other. Yet at the same time it's like looking at the reversed image of one another in the mirror.

For all the bubbly persona that Bachira presented outwardly, it was Rin who immediately caught on what he is hiding beneath those smiles of his.

He quickly pointed out of how lukewarm his ego was, always searching for someone to play along with him and listen to what his monster saying instead of listening to himself.

However, it was Bachira's reaction that really intrigued me the most. Instead of being offended by it, he just looks genuinely surprised as if Rin had made an epiphany on behalf of himself.

I guess it was one of the most in point and memorable interaction in the franchise that stuck to me the most.

Seems to me that Rin was talking from experience because from what we can surmise there is that maybe he saw himself in Bachira back then when he was playing for someone.

And that was his brother before everything went to shit.

Additionally, I fairly love their interaction together. It's natural. The playfulness of Bachira balances out Rin's serious and deadpan expression most of the time.

What can I say?

I just missed their interaction together. The match between Barcha and PxG wasn't shown in the manga which is a great loss considering that we might have gotten some interesting moments between before, during and after the match.

𝜗𝜚 just saw Jake’s new youtube video where he bought Tara a car and wanted to write this 🫶🏾

You never expected a day like today. Walking out of your apartment, you see Yoichi Isagi standing beside a sleek, shiny car that looks like it belongs in a magazine. His trademark smile stretches across his face, but today it seems a bit wider, a bit more excited.

"Surprise!" he exclaims, motioning toward the car. "It's for you."

Your eyes widen, and you can't help but gasp. "Yoichi, you didn't... This is too much!"

He chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "You've always been there for me, Y/N. I wanted to do something special for you. Consider it a thank you for all your support and friendship."

The car gleams under the sun, its luxurious curves and pristine finish making it impossible to look away. You take a step closer, running your fingers along the smooth surface. It's a top-of-the-line model, something you never imagined owning.

"Yoichi, I don't know what to say. This is incredible."

He steps closer, his expression turning sincere. "You deserve it. You've always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. You pushed me to be better, to never give up. This is my way of showing how much you mean to me."

Tears prick at the corners of your eyes as you look at him. "Thank you, Yoichi. This means the world to me."

He hands you the keys, the weight of them feeling surreal in your palm. "Come on, let's take it for a spin. I want to see that smile when you're driving it."

You nod, unable to contain your excitement. Sliding into the driver's seat, the interior is as impressive as the exterior. Yoichi hops into the passenger seat, and you start the engine. The powerful purr fills the air, sending a thrill through you.

“If you don’t like the interior i’ll pay for you to get a different color”

“What’s not to like?” You replied, still not over the fact that your best friend just bought you a car

As you drive through the city streets, the wind in your hair and Yoichi by your side, you can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. Your best friend went above and beyond to make you feel special, and you know that no matter what, you'll always have each other's backs.

You think back to when you first met Yoichi. It was years ago when he was just starting to play soccer seriously. You were there at his first match, cheering him on from the sidelines. Your friendship blossomed quickly; you became his confidant, his biggest supporter. Every victory, every defeat, you were there, encouraging him, believing in him when he struggled to believe in himself.

"Do you remember the first time we met?" you ask, glancing at him with a smile.

He nods, a nostalgic look in his eyes. "Of course. You were the only one who believed I could make it to the top. You were always there, every step of the way."

You laugh softly. "And you proved everyone wrong. Look at you now, Yoichi. You're incredible."

His gaze softens as he looks at you. "I couldn't have done it without you, Y/N. You've always been my rock."

There's a moment of silence, the air between you charged with unspoken feelings. You've always had a special bond with Yoichi, something deeper than friendship, but neither of you has ever crossed that line. Yet, the way he looks at you now, with such intensity, makes your heart race.

"Yoichi..." you start, but he interrupts gently.

"Y/N, there's something I've been wanting to tell you," he says, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "You've always been more than just a friend to me. You've been my inspiration, my support, my everything."

Your breath catches as he reaches out, taking your hand in his. "Yoichi, I..."

He squeezes your hand, his eyes never leaving yours. "I don't want to lose what we have, but I can't keep pretending I don't feel this way. I care about you, Y/N. More than just a friend."

You feel your heart swell with emotion, tears threatening to spill. "I care about you too, Yoichi. So much."

He leans in closer, his face inches from yours. "Then let's see where this goes. Together."

As you sit there, in the luxury car he bought for you, you realize that this moment is just the beginning of a new chapter in your relationship. With Yoichi by your side, anything is possible. You lean in, closing the distance between you, and for the first time, you kiss, sealing a promise of something beautiful and new.

"Thank you, Yoichi," you whisper against his lips. "For everything."

He smiles, his eyes shining with happiness. "Anytime, Y/N. Here's to us, and to the journey ahead."

marsai martin as adina

marsai definitely has the look! like, this is who i pictured when joelle described adina physically and emotionally (her intelligence, sarcasm, general demeanor). my only concern is that since marsai doesn’t have many serious roles in her filmography, she may not be able to give the depth needed for a dramatic suspense show.

ashley liao as saint

no concerns about her acting skills or looks, it’s more so about salary since she was in a blockbuster (the ballad of songbirds and snakes).

sadie sink as penthesilea

same situation as ashley. has the look and acting chops, the salary/budget is the issue.

rachel zegler as esme (honorary mention: jenna ortega)

these divas! they both have the look, and are amazing actors. jenna’s a bit more suited for the role bc of how edgy she is, and it’d be nice to see her get rid of that wednesday addams/astrid deetz typecast. rachel is great but ive never seen her play a morally gray/pretty much villain type girl. however i’d imagine they’d be expensive.

cate blanchette as aunt remington

her salary would be like 1/4 of the budget

daniella perkins as toni

who i pictured as toni! after seeing her in grown-ish and older, i think she’d be great for comedic relief and the serious moments.

harry colett as graham

the targaryen prince! idk guys the curly hair and sunken eyes really do it for me. i definitely think he can play the drunken but kinda serious screw up.

gavin casalengo as pierce

very pretty “all american” boy is how i imagined pierce, so i think gavin is a decent choice. he was pretty good in the summer i turned pretty. also i think the gurls may enjoy him as the main love interest that could look good with adina and penthesilea.
