One of the philosophical/theological differences between judaism and other religions is how we conceive of the consequences of doing bad things.

I just heard someone say, "well jews don't believe in hell, so why don't you-" and just never sits right with me that the only thing that could prevent you from acting in bad ways are the threat of an eternal punishment. The implication that you shouldn't care about the consequences of your actions on the worldly level are astounding as well.

I care about not doing bad because it hurts people - myself included. Even if I did believe in hell... It wouldn't factor into how I live life. I fundamentally don't agree that we should treat this life and this world as a temporary home - a rest stop - where our actions only matter insofar as it affects where you go in the afterlife.

you know sometimes I think about arcane's ending and think of how realistically Jayce and Viktor's fate in the end is horrifying if they didn't die or get sent to another world.

Like they are stuck in the realm of the arcane FOREVER with only each other and regardless of if you view them as romantic/platonic/secret third thing that is GOING to drive them insane eventually, eternally existing with no goals to achieve and just floating around magic space with another person and hoping to god you're not stuck there forever. It's even worse if they somehow got entwined in the same being (cough VARUS 2.0 cough) because then they'd be alone in a realm with conflicting thoughts and maybe not even an understanding of what's happening. Like that LITERALLY sounds like hell to me

I don't have much of an explanation for this one, I jsut think they'd be a very peaceful couple, and given Tikal is eternally within the Master Emerald, I thought this'd make sense.

i like to think that the avatars actually hated the eyepocalypse too.

it's explicitly shown that not!sasha did not enjoy the mortifying ordeal of being Known. helen probably hated the fact that she was constantly Seen, a distortion doesn't want to be understood. simon fairchild can say whatever he wants, but as a vast-aligned girl myself i just know he missed the sky. jude perry, who spent a good majority of her first appearence bragging about how superior the desolation was, was forced to serve what she saw as an inferior power. every Hunter lives in fear of becoming Prey. etc etc.

personally i think if christians cared about saving other people as much as they claim to they wouldn't be so smug and happy about going to heaven while the rest of us rot in hell.
