I'm Veil ! I also go by cozenveil, Serenova or Dani. ✨️

I'm a self-taught, gothic, nonbinary concept artist, fan-artist and writer who loves dark academia vibes, prohibition-era aesthetics and gothic atmospheres. In my work, I try my best to get across my biggest priority, which is the importance of identity and self-expression, especially as an enby.

I'm also working on many different projects. My biggest project is a personal story I'm creating, titled "La Favola Di Domani." For a better glimpse into what it's about, check out the summary on my Carrd page, in the "Projects" section. 🤍

In short, it's a gothic, non-linear, multi-perspective action thriller in prohibition-era America where many characters seek what they believe to be true enlightenment, and the immoral lengths they'll go to attain it. 🕯

Aside from this, I also have plans for MAJOR A.U. fanworks that I'd like to create full-length graphic novels out of. The three most notable ones are for;

Sonic The Hedgehog,

Klonoa,

and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

You can expect the Sonic and Klonoa ones sooner than later, since I've done considerable work for them already! ~

So, I've been re-living my younger years by playing Blinx The Time Sweeper, since it got put on Game Pass! I forgot how fun it was, but hot damn I don't remember it being this solid! I'm stuck on Everwinter atm. ^^; Anyway - I decided to doodle a Blinx headshot! (Real talk though, I've really missed making fan art, this has sorta helped me regain my artistic spark!! I wanna make more stuff!!)

31 Things We Learned in Gextra Life 2017

Over Labor Day weekend we played games for 24 hours straight to raise money for Hurley Children’s Hospital in Flint, MI. The entire stream has been mirrored to YouTube here, and you can still donate to help the sick kids here until the end of the year.

So now, a list of things each game during the stream taught us:

The entire Metal Gear Solid universe is a remix of a visual novel nobody’s ever heard of

Ringtones used to have a cultural cachet that is inexplicable in today’s world

The least entertaining part of fighting games is the fighting game

Contrary to popular belief, the more Jaws you see the better

Croc can go to the store all on his own, like a big boy

Manatees can talk. It’s getting them to shut up that’s hard

Dave Seville had talent, but has been coasting on the work of others for an unconscionable amount of time

The Bee Movie Game can melt brains

Cat food is people

Tasmanian Tigers went extinct due to their poorly adapted jaws

Games made in one English-speaking territory still need localization before going to another English-speaking territory

Fan art can make any game adorable

Streamers can make any game filthy

“Grunting in the manner of Matthew Broderick” is a valuable job skill

Blinx is canonically non-binary

Sometimes the best designed games are the worst to stream
