My hyperfixation on Storyshift got the better of me, and I made a whole script for a King Asriel... "sequel"

Many years passed since that human has passed through the Underground, slaughtering everyone in their way... except Asriel for some unknown reason. Maybe he struck a cord with them. Who's to say.

Being the son of both the royal scientist and head of the royal guard, many insisted Asriel should lead them, after king Sans disappeared along side the souls. And after much thought, he accepted it.

And his first decree as king? All humans are mortal enemies to monsters, and they should be eliminated at first sight!...

But what about Chara? His sibling. They were human, and everyone in left in the Underground knew as much. So what would happen to them?

Asriel didn't speak of the matter in public. But in private, asked Chara to simply wear a mask in public, and try to not speak much. He didn't want them being used to shatter the barrier, despite his decree.

Chara did as much... but their relationship was never quite the same.

Chara no longer saw him as their brother, he had changed so much, so fast... No. They weren't Asriel. Asriel died alongside their parents when that human fell down so long ago...

How long ago?...

112 years ago...

give or take. Chara stopped counting after that first century...

Yes, they were both still alive after so long. For Asriel it was obvious why, he was a boss monster, and specifically desired to never have children, as to never die of old age, and being able to be there when every soul was collected.

As for Chara... that was when the questioned arised for Asriel. "Humans couldn't live for that long.", "Most barely pass 70.", "So how is Chara, a human, got to be with him for so long?"

"...Is Chara... even human anymore?"

Maybe this is why they never took off that mask and robes. Perhaps even they were scared to what lied underneath.

How was that even possible... it wasn't possible...

Unless...

That strange power Chara was known for. Determination.

The power to keep going after death... could it, perhaps... be able to outright refuse death out together?

For many this could be considered a gift, a blessing from powers above... But both Chara and Asriel knew... it was a curse.

A curse, that they would only both get rid of, once the barrier was destroyed... and they could finally see the sun again.

Perhaps Asriel could even take Chara to see the flowers in their village again...

That would be great.

My take on a Undertale & Deltarune fusion AU/a "Deltarune is a sequel to Undertale" AU. (No clue what to exactly call it but I'm gonna tag any posts relating to it with UT/DR Fusion AU).

Any fan content I make for this AU will probably focus on the events that occur between Undertale and Deltarune. And of course, this AU is (obviously) headcanon heavy.

Random details about the AU (part 1) ->

•Frisk and Kris are two separate humans & both are the adopted children of Toriel. Flowey is still Flowey. –Frisk is in twelfth grade and Kris is in eleventh grade by the time Chapter 1 of Deltarune happens.

•Frisk was eight when they fell into the Underground.

•By the time DR Chapter 1 roles around, Frisk technically takes the role of DR!Asriel. But instead being away at college, Frisk is just on a week long trip doing Human Ambassador stuff during DR Chapter 1, 2, and 3. –Chapter 1 & 2 happen as normal (on a Thursday and Friday), but Kris opens the Chapter 3 Dark Fountain on a Saturday night instead of a Friday night.

•The exact trait of the Red SOUL is unknown, most common theorized traits are: Determination, Love, Compassion, and Freedom. Regardless of the trait, many hold the belief that those with a Red SOUL have been directly blessed by a Heavenly Being.

•The Legend of Delta Rune has been around since before Asgore’s grandparents was born, but the Lightners that had heard the entirety of the Legend are either dead or scattered across time and space. –Lightners was once aware of the existence of Darkners and the two worlds used commonly communicate with each other. However, as tension between the humans and monsters rose, the more Darkners got pushed to the side. Eventually the existence of Darkners and the Dark Worlds were forgotten. –Darkners/Dark Worlds were completely forgotten about by the Asgore became king.

•Frisk can SAVE/LOAD/RESET in the Light World but cannot in the Dark World while Kris can SAVE/LOAD/RESET in the Dark World but cannot in the Light World. Frisk temporarily loses the ability to SAVE/LOAD/RESET in the Light World whenever Kris in the Dark World. –All Darkners can see Kris’s SAVE Point, but the only ones that can see Frisk’s SAVE Point are Flowey, and Chara.

•Order of Frisk’s resets: A handful of Neutral Runs (Undyne Ending w/ Papyrus Alive -> Exiled Queen w/ Papyrus Dead -> Alphys Ending) -> Genocide -> True Pacifist (technically Soulless Pacifist)

•Order of the fallen humans: Chara -> Patience -> Bravery -> Kindness -> Kindness -> Perseverance -> Integrity -> Justice -> Frisk.

•There’s two Anomalies. Frisk’s Anomaly (F-Anomaly) and Kris’s Anomaly (K-Anomaly). –F-Anomaly didn’t have any control only Frisk, it silently guided Frisk on their journey through the Underground and kept them on the necessary path. F-Anomaly happened upon the world naturally. –K-Anomaly has complete control over Kris, but only when there is a Dark Fountain open + a several hours after it’s been closed. K-Anomaly was introduced to the world through Gaster.

•Chara's a ghost and they follows Frisk around. Only Frisk and Flowey can see them. But there's a chance they become visible to Kris whenever they rip their SOUL out. –Actually, all of the Fallen Humans became ghosts post-barrier breakage. And Frisk & Flowey are the only ones that can see them (+sometimes Kris whenever they rip their SOUL out). But the ghosts become do come visible to everyone while in a Dark World.

•The Bunker led to Gaster's old, pre-Underground Laboratory.

•Dess got scattered and now exists in a void-type space called The Depths with Gaster and the Vessel. –Dess became scattered while exploring the Laboratory section of the Bunker with Noelle and Kris. –The "Will now be Discarded. No one can choose who they are in this world." text of the Goner Creator is Dess speaking. –While the Goners attached to Gaster are his followers. The Goners attached to Dess aren't people, but instead the belongings she had on her when she scattered (her guitar, baseball cap, various music sheets, a flashlight, and, most interestingly, a video camera).

•Susie has an older sister (who I might name Julie) and a bunch of younger siblings. She lives in a small apartment with them and her father. Her mother is no longer in the picture. –Susie never once stepped foot in Hometown prior to moving there. Not even during the first year after the barrier broke. She moved to Hometown the summer between her tenth grade and eleventh grade year. –Due to not paying attention to the Royal Family while living in the Underground and the surface school Susie went to before moving to Hometown not teaching about Monster History for a longest time; Susie managed to get by without not realizing that Alphys was the Royal Scientist and Toriel was the queen.

•Possible order of Dark Fountains: Card Castle -> Cyber World -> TV Dark World (w/ Toriel and Undyne) -> Café Dark World (w/ Catti and Jockington) -> Church Dark World (w/ MK and Chara) -> Flower King Dark World (w/ Asgore and Susie's older sister).

i mentioned back when i made that poll about who the second voice from the goner maker sequence might be that i think ralsei is a decent candidate. since the topic came up in the server i'm in today, i figured i should make a post out of it.

to be clear, the idea is that the voice that discards the vessel, says "no one can choose who they are in this world", and throws the soul into kris* might be ralsei. this would require that he was aware of that sequence as it was happening (which i don't think is that unlikely, given all the things he knows) and had the power to interrupt it (much harder to swallow, i know).

here are my three arguments in favor of this theory:

1) the way ralsei's first lines of dialogue are presented is exactly the same as the second voice

this is not a foolproof thing, but i think it's worth noting that this is our first impression of him, not long at all after the gonermaker sequence.

2) the sentiment that "no one can choose who they are in this world" aligns with ralsei's current philosophy. he wants kris (or us) to believe that our choices matter, but he's also insistent that kris and susie are heroes. not to mention his more personal feelings on the subject as a darker and their role in relation to lightners.

3) there's a decent potential motive for ralsei to eliminate the player's "wonderful creation": kris being the vessel for the soul/player makes them the protagonist. we have evidence that ralsei wants kris to feel special (see his whole thing about acts being kris's special thing in chapter 2). it's likely that their role would have been lessened if we were playing as the vessel**, and i could see ralsei being opposed to that. especially if ralsei has some special tie to them and/or asriel because of however he came to be / whatever item he's derived from. and considering, again, his seemingly positive feelings towards darkners' purpose being to serve lightners, it would be in character for him to see kris's role as the bearer of the Light as an honor/blessing — one it would be a terrible shame to deny them.

*it's possible that gaster was the one who put the vessel into kris as a last resort rather than the second voice being responsible. that being said, you could argue the second voice (ralsei in this case) figured he would do that, was perhaps even counting on it.

**it seems unlikely they would have been replaced all together considering that gaster will say you are going to meet them if you put your name as "kris"; i imagine they would have had a noelle-like role and presence in the plot

tbc i'm not 100% convinced of this theory right now, i think there are at least a couple other strong second voice candidates, but i think this one should at least be part of the discussion. would love to hear what y'all think :)

You're woken up by unexpected kisses, the brush of his trimmed stubble against your back.

Your eye lids flutter open, the surprise evident in the shudder that ripples through your body when he softly bites on your shoulder, his tongue instantly darting out to lave over the mark he'd left.

"Good morning." His voice is deep, something warm flooding through your limbs at this sleepy drawl you've never been graced with before.

"Weren't you expected back home?", you ask, surprised by the fact that he still had you tucked in his side, regardless of the reason he was about to give.

"My mother can wait.", he answers, as if his reluctance to spend mornings with you, or anyone for that matter, was all drawn out to maternal influence. You sigh, your fingers carding through his soft locks as he wetly kisses your neck.

"But this...", he grinds his growing erection against your thigh, smirking at the low moan you let loose. "This can hardly handle the wait."

He moves on top of you, your thoughts all drowning under the delicious weight of him, his hands reaching every inch of skin they can find.

His mouth works in ways his words never did and yet you knew he'd never really give you the answers you needed. All you had was today. Today he had chosen to stay.

Do you think that Toriel deserves to be hated for any of these actions?:

-Trying to "force" Frisk to stay with her forever and "attacking" "him" when "he" tries to leave.

-Berating Asgore and not showing any sympathy for him because of his actions even though he was already aware of what he did and was still feeling very remorseful of said actions.

-Being an overprotective mother.

-Making her whole family go to church just because Asriel kissed someone.

-Unintentionally not letting Kris express "himself" and not respecting "his" independence.

-Being stuck in the past and "refusing" to adapt.

Now I know Toriel has reasons for doing these actions, but still. I almost put her firing Alphys on this list, but I think Alphys saw being fired as a blessing, rather than Toriel just being mean to her.

No i dont, and ill make this clear, just because someone points out a bad thing a character did, it doesnt mean they think that character is irredimable or doesnt deserve forgiveness, theyre just rightfully pointing it out

So yes I am back and Asriel definitely has 6 kittens now. So far they all sound energetic and healthy and Asriel is being as gentle as possible with them all. I been checking on her every second and she has been quarantined off from the rest of the animals. She got food and water. She is safe. Everything so far seems to be going well. QwQ

Should note this may possibly make me go dark at times. I’ll do one asks a day still till the arc is over. And I’ll probably start to wrap it up cuz considering everything going on it’s better I end the arc as intended no matter how much I love it qwq

I don’t think Suzy loosing her og family would make sense, cause then she wouldn’t have a reason to go back since her human family would want to stay, ect. Maybe one of her parents could be ‘missing’ but not all of them…

ok here's the situation. both parents go to NUA with their only daughter Suzy. However, they separated when the parents get sick. There's a panic that leaving the country could lead to Monsters getting sick from diseases* they're not accustomed to. Because they didn't want to infect Suzy, the parents are temporarily separated and returned to ML.

* should be noted monsters don't get sick from organic diseases but rather "curses" in AFR. if a place (or object) is infected with a strong emotional intent, it can either bless or curse the area/object. so no, it wouldn't matter where the monster is, as the danger/benefits of curses/blessings are equal everywhere. MAYBE they'd be stronger around humanity? So monsters would need to take magical potions (basically the biological equivalent of medical supplements) but otherwise aren't in any more danger than normally.

Because there's no one that Suzy knows in NUA (for obvious reasons) she's temporarily taken into human foster care. the drama starts when a politically powerful family of humans force an adoption before ML can have a say about it.

Is that kidnapping??? i think??? so? Maybe not legally, as mounters are unprecedented and legally, the family can do whatever they want since there aren't any laws protecting Suzy in this situation.

NUA in the tumblr version is often referred to as being pushy and uncooperative- I feel this is a great chance to really establish that and raise the stakes.

So Asriel is like, oh my god, these humans not ONLY killed Papyrus (they incorrectly think this) and 6 other monsters, they've also kidnapped a monster child. This is more than enough to drive Asriel to declaring the closed border.

thus there's a 4 1/2 year court case to fight for Suzy to return to ML. Despite the border policy and the subsequent harsh laws to try to get Suzy back (which in effect make Billy and Gus illegally staying in NUA and thus outlaws) Asriel fails to bring her home. There's too much political control the human family has and the courts favor humanity over monsterkind.

but yeah i like this way better because good lord, i'd rather not kill off parental figures if i can avoid it. feels very needlessly cruel to Suzy.

to make things more complicated and honestly, to ground the situation more, Suzy's parents divorced over the course of that 4 1/2 years because of the pressure of the court cases and loss of parental rights. it also helps establish Suzy having a more troubled home life as the parents struggle to suddenly having their only child back. Suzy was hoping monsterkind would be a haven, that her family life would return to normal with her back home but... no. life is easier as she's not judged by humanity, but its not easy.

Hunter verse

At birth, Ethan was cursed by a vengeful fae to be doomed to darkness. His parents had been devout priests with knowledge of the supernatural, in their time of need and suffering they had stolen a precious pearl from the seemingly abandoned residence of an elder fae. As he grew his parents feared what he would become, the fae had sworn them they would watch their son become a monster, the same way in which his last memory of his wife, in the fae’s opinion it had been truly monstrous to take such a thing. To make their son something they would fear was a fair payment in the mind of the fae. A few times as he grew he was unknowingly visited by the fae, who wanted to ensure the curse had indeed taken effect, seeing the cursed mark on his forearm he would not visit again. It took the form of a dark blame tattoo that would grow with time.

Other supernaturals could see it but to humans, it was only visible to those who knew him. Ethan was homeschooled, learning from his parents about the supernatural as well as what happened to him, he didn’t know the truth of why the fae cursed him until his eighteenth birthday, his parents had been too ashamed. As an adult he began working in warehouses, wanting nothing to do with the supernatural and met his wife there, she was called Emily. They lived a happy life for three years in London until tragedy struck, he came home from a party one night to find a vampire leant over his wife’s drained corpse, seemingly lost in a haze Ethan was able to break a leg off a nearby chair and use it to stake the vampire.

Wanting to ensure this never happened to anyone else he spent three months mourning his loss before becoming a hunter. Training hard and fully putting himself into his studies he took a parting gift from his parents who soon died after. A mixture of blessed weapons, holy water, as well as iron and silver weapons. He soon discovered that he was able to sense the supernatural as he killed more and more, he felt guilty, wishing he had been able to prevent Emily’s death. Yet whilst growing up he had deep feelings of anger he felt the more he killed, the more bloodthirsty he became, he would be haunted by visions of blood and becoming a creature of the night, whether a vampire, werewolf or something else. The mark began to grow and would slow him down when he was injured, even incapacitating him and reducing his natural healing for some time.

Ethan became friends with another hunter called Asriel, on one fateful night he was on the ground about to become a meal for a vampire when the other hunter destroyed the creature, after healing up the pair hunted together for some time as well as shared tips and tricks.
