Sabine was all tongue and teeth and spit - it was clumsy, and messy, and imperfect. It reeked of that familiar perfume and shit cocktails and cheap cigarettes and good whiskey and sweat and lust. It was amazing. It felt like the sparks from that kiss in the bar were starting to bloom into brilliant fire in Shin's belly.

Sicuramente At the Heart of Winter è il disco più complesso degli Immortal.
Farewell…

So Imperial Crystalline Entombment are back? This was a black metal band that did straight up Immortal worship* back in the early aughts that gained a decent amount of attention for being from grim and frostbitten Waldorf, Maryland. Yeah I get why that’s wild for someone like me, but they seriously got a lot of international attention. I guess this is back before every city in the states had thirty bedroom black metal projects. They dropped a demo and an album that disappeared like snow in the summer. But they’re back!
*like straight up, not only was it all Immortal style riffs and the like, their lyrics were all about winter and a made up ice deity name Blashyrkh Råvaskeith

i’m relatively proud of this one, plus i’ve been inactive for months and missed wolfwren week, so i wanted to post something to show i’ve not been creatively idle. this is the first smut i've ever felt confident enough to put my name to. a lot more of myself ended up in here than i expected, and this ended up as a way for me to explore some stuff. plus no beta, so please be kind lol

The figure stood out against the warm interior of the bar, all brown wood and leather with dark yellowish lighting. They wore old black leather jacket covering a nondescript band shirt, blending into equally battered jeans and boots that were far past their best. There was a thick chain hung around their neck with what looked like part of a cog as the charm, and their fingers were covered in rings which clinked gently as fingers drummed against their short glass of whiskey. Atop the dark mass of clothing was pale skin, almost white blonde hair and light blue eyes. The contrasting figure sat, watching and slowly drinking, as the night continued around them. The figure stared down into their diminishing drink, rocking the glass gently to see the amber liquid swirl.
‘You doing alright over there?’
They started back into the worn leather bench that ran along the wall and looked up. The figure in front of them had its head slightly tilted to one side, the short and messily dyed hair atop its head falling out of place as dark brown eyes stared down at them. The figure was much more colourful than them - they were also dressed in a leather jacket, but it was dyed purple, with small paintings decorating the ribs and shoulders. The largest of these was an oversized songbird - maybe a wren - that reached up her side and around onto her back. She also wore jeans in a lighter shade of blue.

Ghost History: House of Metal
Announced in November of 2010[1], Ghost returned to Sweden for their 3rd ritual in the country. It was met with much anticipation as their powers of persuasion were only growing with every ritual performed and record sale made.
‘Very very very unexpected booking but oh oh oh so damn welcome one. The band is one of the most hyped bands right now and I usually flinch when this happens, but I've been hooking and sinking into GHOST, even so hard that I spent my "last week's money" this month on the limited (300 copies) Die-Hard vinyl version of the debut "Opus Eponymous". As a fan of early MERCYFUL FATE and other miscellaneous 80's Heavy Metal, I can only say, THANK YOU HOUSE OF METAL!!!” -TK Blashyrkh(via Microsoft Translator)[2]
The room where Ghost performed was packed[3] with old and new converts to the ministry:
“WHAT A FUCKING GIG!!
A fantastic gig by Ghost I think, I have seen them once
before then with Watain at the club but this was horse lengths better!
I photographed in ecstasy and I took about 200-300 pictures, many of which I'm incredibly happy with!”-Demonia (via Microsoft Translator)[4]
“It feels too short, the short playlist makes it go very fast. When they played the last song they left the stage, what happened? I'm dazed, I didn't think I'd like this. They will play on bigger stages in the future, I'm convinced of that! I'm really happy and so are a lot of people. On the bus on the way home, I wax lyrical about it to my partner. I have a hard time falling asleep and I'm just lying there thinking about Ghost's concert. Everything else I saw is secondary!!”-Mats Söderholm (via Microsoft Translator)[5]
“I can start by proclaiming that I own, not just one, but three different vinyl editions of Ghost's debut album "Opus Eponymous" and this if anything should speak for itself as to whether I bought the hype or not. From the first moment I had a very hard time defending myself against the band's wonderful mix of 70s interspersed with classic 80s metal. [...] So did Ghost live up to my expectations this evening?
The answer has to be yes, even if there were a couple of question marks. The opening track "Con Clavi Con Dio" felt like a bit of a minor disaster to my ears, and this mostly due to the far too diligent use of "backtracks". Even though my favorite track on the band's debut is "Elizabeth", surprisingly it was still their hit "Ritual" that went down best with me.” -Tommy Konu (via Google Translate)[6]
