It took hearing his music on the show for Devon Gilfillian to realize the storytelling power behind Grey’s Anatomy. The 34-year-old musician giddily describes how much pleasure he gets from writing music, his face stretching into a wide smile as describes the sheer joy of songwriting — how it’s taken him across the country and, most recently, to a writing camp in Mexico. (Despite having a sparkling social media presence, he admits it was a relief to be forced to put his phone down for a few days.) But his voice quiets as he describes hearing his mournful gospel-tinged ballad “Mercy” used in “Come Fly With Me,” a season 19 episode of Grey’s Anatomy. As Gilfillian watched as Link conquered his fears after losing a high-profile patient, while still managing to complete a multihour surgery, the moment was a strong reminder for the musician about how much bigger his songs could become.

Does amara/aegon have any like hobbies we haven't heard abt? Or do either them have any interest in a hobby that they just don't have time/patience for?

In Black Hole Aegon likes drag racing and also horse-riding (rich boy hobbies). He ends up just staying in and playing video games though.

I like to imagine Amara loves making fine illustrations like Colleen Doran or Alphonse Mucha because I used to do those and it really helped to empty my head and deal with my anxiety. I think she'd benefit from art therapy tbh.

As for in the medieval fic, I think Amara has her father's love of glass blowing and decorating the finished pieces. Just anything that deals with the scattering of light. Aegon's hobbies are...drinking...and riding Sunfyre? And also sex. It's a hobby, trust me. He finds new ways to excel at all three things.

Sorry to continue beating this dead horse, but it still baffles me that people are praising the bees as quality romance when they became canon confirmed queer only when they became an item

You wanna see how easy it is to confirm someone's interest in ladies? This is a conversation between sisters I wrote for my fanfic last night:

“Pay her no mind, Timber,” Nadia says, plopping on the mattress and sinking right in. “I’m pretty sure she’s married to those shoes.”

Danai rolls her eyes. “I’m married to my job, not my shoes.”

“How ‘bout a woman instead? Then you’d get fucked good instead of fucked over.”

One sentence. That's all it took to let the audience know that Danai likes women

And this is a side OC that's going to get written out of the plot in the next chapter or so. She didn't need to be sapphic when the fic is focused on the m/m main pair. Hell, this wasn't even planned, but there she is! Gay as fuck in an apocalypse! And she didn't even need to suck face to confirm it!

So if the bees were planned from the beginning, why did we have to wait 10 years for non-subtextual sapphic confirmation between half our main cast when I did it for a side character in 10 seconds?
