Winged Predator
I'm not sure, what do you think, cricket? Maybe it is Jimmy in the clutches of a northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos).
"Northern Mockingbirds continue to add new sounds to their repertoires throughout their lives. A male may learn around 200 songs throughout its life." - allaboutbirds.org
I don't post all of the photos that I post here to my Pixels gallery, but I post the photos I like best. Some don't make the cut. I usually wait a couple of days and see how I feel about it then.

In case you're never seen a tree full of goldfinches (Spinus tristis), here you go.
"This handsome little finch, the state bird of New Jersey, Iowa, and Washington, is welcome and common at feeders, where it takes primarily sunflower and nyjer. Goldfinches often flock with Pine Siskins and Common Redpolls. Spring males are brilliant yellow and shiny black with a bit of white. Females and all winter birds are more dull but identifiable by their conical bill; pointed, notched tail; wing bars; and lack of streaking. During molts they look bizarrely patchy." - allaobutbirds.org
