My original designs of Three Virtues pendants were finally delivered! They were supposed to be there on Friday before Bionicle Day but... happy belated Bionicle Day I guess?

Hexagon stands for 6 elements, prominent motive through whole Bionicle series. On the three sides, Three Virtues are engraved in Matoran alphabet, decorated with combination of tribal geometry and circuits.

The Essenger show last night was amazing! I had a blast getting to know so many of my fellow bionicle fans! You know I had to hit up the merch table as well! I snagged two custom masks and this awesome Essenger shirt!

If Bionicle had been a bigger franchise, what kind of merchandise outside of the comics, movies, and books could've been sold? Silly and / or serious, go wild.

The idea I started with: a Gali-themed life saver - or more likely a Gali-themed pool float in this context.

Megavolt may not have the least selfish motivations, but goddamn do the fans love her.

"I see cleaning all the old Shining Rangers shit out of the basement is going well." Says Musical Guardian Synth-Metal, as she watches Grindcore, Ska, and Prog-Rock play with lego sets on the floor.

"Did you know we just had boxes and boxes of this shit?" Asks Grindcore, as she leafs through an instruction manual. "Magical trans-dimensional storage space, and it's filled with pallets of merch."

"No, but it sure sounds like an Azure thing to do. And we're what, reminiscing about the bad old days?"

Ska shrugs. "Hey, don't look at me. I have no stake in the shining rangers, I just see lego and play with it." She says, and Prog-Rock nods.

"Grindcore?" Synth-Metal asks derisively, and Grindcore flicks a block at her.

"Easy to be above it all when you show up in more than half the sets. They made like, two of me, I'm enjoying seeing myself as a tiny marketable figure."

"I'm not above it all." Synth-Metal says. "I'll play with a bionicle, I'm not heartless. It's just that the Shining Rangers lego sets are lame."

Phoebe comes up from the basement, another box in her arms.

"She's mad because she's always just standing around in them." She says, and Synth-Metal huffs.

"It's bullshit man, everybody else has cool shit and I just stand there because my power didn't have a visual aspect and they didn't want to put magnets in the pieces because kids would eat them or some shit." She whines.

"Here." Phoebe says, taking a package from one of the boxes and tossing it to her.

"Wait- Shining Rangers Versus Dark Ranger Megavolt???" Synth-Metal says, looking it over. "I never heard about this?"

"It never came out. Went into production before Azure realized you were a serious threat and not just making a fuss before rejoining."

"Ooohh they gave me the little force lighting bolts you can put in the minifig hands!" She squeals, sitting down and tearing the packaging open. "Are you telling me that if I held back a bit I could have had Megavolt merch!?"

"Truly, you have suffered for success." Grindcore says, putting the finishing touches on a scene of her choking out a giant alien bee-woman with her smoke.

"Oh yeah." Phoebe says. "After you came back but before you started putting us in the hospital and Azure pulled it all, Obsidian merch was flying off the shelves."

"Maaaan. I changed my mind this rules actually." Synth-Metal says, acting out a tiny fight with the Azure and Megavolt figures. "The Musical Guardians need to sell out so I can have tiny lightning hands."

"It's really inspiring, seeing how much you believe in the politics of what we're doing here beyond saving your own ass." Deadpans Prog-Rock.

"What can I say?" Says Synth-Metal, grinning. "I'm an activist."

I have some BIG news!!! I’m starting my first full time job tomorrow!!! 😆

I’ll be working as a deputy clerk at my county’s court house, so I’m totally expecting it to be a pretty busy job 🤣

As it’s a full time job though, that does mean that I will definitely become WAY less active on here for…… well AWHILE I guess 😅 Don’t worry, I’m NOT deleting my account or becoming fully inactive, but I’ll definitely won’t be able to post much anymore! reading: this was from a few weeks ago actually but i forgot about it. we stopped over in pittsburgh for a night and briefly entertained the idea of going to a museum or something road-trip style and found this museum review. surprisingly she is not a lesbian.

started dangelo wallace's ozempic video. the fatphobia had me tapping out pretty quick tho. also watched about half of joy achill's "the george r r martin problem" about asoiaf stuff, gonna finish it tomorrow i think

watched "the man who tried to fake an element" with the boyf, really fascinating, i knew a little bit of it from one of my undergrad classes but this was a really good deep dive.

also watched two episodes of space dandy with the boyf. so much to unpack there.

playing: more dnd but otherwise fallow. made a little dungeon crawl type thing so that's pretty straightforward.

making: coasters mostly right now! the main ones are a Surprise so i will not be posting them yet. instead look at my worm

i've also started knitting a magic the gathering card sleeve as a semi-gag gift for a friend. it's really really stupid i love it so much. it is just ten rows of a rectangle in stockinette right now but i'm going to mock up a little texture work to get the swamp land symbol in the back.

eating: did a lot of takeout right after moving because, Yeah, but i finally started settling back in to home cooked meals. made my favorite orzo salad for a temple potluck, an ungodly amount of gyudon, and a garlic butter shrimp pasta thing.

misc: my new apartment is good!! the insulation isn't great, i know i'll have to shrinkwrap some windows this winter for Sure, but overall i'm settling in. i have a lot of organization and purging to do, especially of my House Clothes, craft supplies, and makeup/beauty shit, and i need to get one or two pieces of furniture still (like a couch......i have a funny little bachelor chair in front of the couch right now which is very funny). i got myself some fun plants from the farmers market as a housewarming gift to myself. i am finally the owner of a monstera, yippee, she Really needs a repot though. i also got a hoya lisa because i liked the name and it was cute and cat friendly and i got a vaguely labia-adjacent succulent. i have so many little household Needs and Tasks (mat for in front of the sink! blackout curtains because i have to sleep with an eye mask right now because the blinds dont do shit! etc!) and also every grocery bill i do is like $100 because of getting kitchen essentials that will not run out any time soon but that i do need (white vinegar. aluminum foil. flour.) so everything is so expensive. this is a big wall of text. at least the spare mattress is out of my weird haunted hallway now <3 i'm very excited to start hanging up my art.

16. Describe your favorite hoodie. How long have you had it? What makes it unique?

okay so my favorite hoodie for the longest time, was the one I got my senior year of high school with the year I graduated on it. it's absolute trash now because I wore it so much lmao. It was just the perfect amount of softness on the inside even after washing it. plus, it didn't feel weird on my body.

my current favorite hoodies are probably my burgundy hoodie & my 5SOS merch one! the burgundy one is just really nice because of the color & the fact that it's soft. the 5SOS one, even though it's like a cream/white color (neutrals feel so... empty to me), I like it because it's comfy & I like the art on it!

29. Did you play with Legos as a kid? What was your favorite set?

not really. my brother didn't really have Legos, but he had Bionicles & I would play with those lol. Although as an adult, the idea of having a Lego sets fucking rocks. I made the armory set from The Mandalorian and I reaaaaaally want the Lego flowers!!
