Hilarious idea I had to merge both the original storyline for the Slow Boiled Stone Egg Au with the Alternate way DBK learns about the Stone Egg;
The Pilot fight between MK vs DBK comes to a halt when the bull overhears an annoyed grunt of;
Pigsy: "HEY! What sorta jerk lets a pregnant bystander get hurt!?"
DBK: "Huh?" *turns out of interest/concern*
Pigsy: *is holding a "normal" pregnant monkey demon in a bridal carry after pulling them away from some debris*
The "normal" pregnant monkey demon: *Is clearly Sun Wukong*
DBK: Xiandi!?!"
And since Wukong is being really cagey about his condition and how it happened; DBK & PIF immediately assume it was from less than ideal circumstances and activate Protective Brother + Sister-In-Law mode to make sure he's ok.
Pigsy insists on coming along so that the "skinny-looking kid" (Wukong) is ok and gets a decent meal.
DBK & PIF have a buffering moment when they realise that their opponents look to be... versions of Wukong's Pilgrim brothers?? Oh dang they need to come with too!
Wukong is unofficially kidnapped (with heavy encouragement by a worried MK) to the Demon Bull Palace for a proper health check up and meal.
PIF & DBK decide to take the reins of the Monkie Kid's training in Wukong stead (much to Wukong's complaints) until the baby arrives. MK is confused, but very glad that he wouldn't be sparring with his pregnant mentor/hero. Also he's being mentored by two of the coolest villains in Jttw lore! Him and Tang share a fanboy moment over it - much to the couple's amusement and Red Son's ire (Tang told him bluntly that he found Red Boy to "just be some bratty toddler").
And cue a back and forth of both the Demon Bull Family and Pigsy's protective instincts over the Monkey King. It ends up nearly a "Capture the Flag" situation where the Noodle Shop fam will rescue Wukong from the Bull Palace to let him hang out in the city/the island, and the Demon Bull Family will kidnap him back to the palace out of worry.
The arguement between DBK and Wukong still occurs during New Years... because thats when DBK finds out Wukong has been pregnant with a almost-always-fatal Stone Egg since the start of the Journey to the West!!!
And cue the demon world finding our via the two brothers arguing so loudly that LBD can't even do her villain speech.

✨thoughts about Nezha and Red Son:✨
I am ALL for the babysitter Nezha hc, but I was thinking about their relationship from a more canon lens
we don't really get any CANON connection between them for basically almost all of the series, except for the end of S4
so why would Red Son go to the Celestial Realm, of all places, and then (specifically) Nezha?
then I remembered that Nezha was there during the fire-sealing ceremony
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PIF and DBK probably respected/appreciated Nezha and Wukong for that (until the whole Wukong and the mountain thing went down), and so Nezha ended up being the one celestial PIF/DBK never talked down on, especially bc he's more an "I'll stay in my lane, you stay in yours" kinda guy
with that, Red Son always associated Nezha as a safe person to go to, even if he had never or rarely met him (plus, they did meet after the S3 special ending- being able to finally meet Nezha for himself probably reinforced the idea for Red Son of Nezha being someone safe to go to)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this whole analysis is also merely just because i'm cackling at the imagery of PIF cradling toddler Red Son in her arms after DBK was imprisoned and going down a line of Celestials like
"this one?"
"bad."
"this one?"
"also bad!"
(gets to Nezha) "this one gets a pass."
"? okay!"
"this one?"
"BAD"

See this dramatic ass motherfucker! This is where Red gets it from and DBK can deny it all he wants but this is fact. He did not need the lava curtain around his big ass dining chair but he did. And that is why DBK is best dad.

Question about the adopted big bro Nezha au! What’s Nezha’s relationship with Red’s parents? Like, do DBK and PIF begin to view Nezha as a second son? Would DBK not try taking over/destroying that village and thus not be sealed under the mountain? And if that’s the case how would having his dad still in his life affect Red Son? And would the fam still get up to evil plans by the time season 1 happens if not?
OOOOOOO MY FIRST ASK AA
Well it's complicated to say the least.
I will say I haven't read JTTW yet this is all based on LMK and small snippets from the internet I've seen.
Nezha kinda just showed up at their doorstep a while after the samadhi ritual and just offered to babysit Red so they didn't really have much of a relationship at first. Nezha spent all his time with Red. He of course did things around the house, he's no freeloader, but there wasn't much between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nezha of course attempted to stop them from doing evil, but they didn't really listen to him. Why would they? I will say his action probably caused DBK's attack to happen later then it did but I doubt Nezha being there would have ever soothed his thirst for power enough to stop him from attempting to take over.
Tumblr media
After he was sealed under the mountain, it was devastating for them all, they had to go into hiding and Nezha thought about returning to the celestial realm a few times but decided against it for Redson's sake. This did cause Nezha to become closer with PIF though. She definitely started seeing him as a second son. After DBK returned PIF basically said "Oh ye he's our son too btw" and DBK was like "Sick". So yeah
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now about Season 1. Nezha is a child, he may be thousands of years old technically but he still has the undeveloped brain of a kid. And a kid, spending over 500 years with the same people is definitely going to affect his impressionable child brain. He, of course, isn't 100% with the whole "Plunge the world in darkness and rule it over with an iron fist" thing but he doesn't do much to stop it. He helps Redson with all his evil stuff, because he loves his lil bro, DBKs power absorbing armour, the great wall race, and stealing the skeleton key. He, however, would bever say he's evil and just says he's "Protecting the world from much worse" He doesn't really see what he is doing wrong. He doesn't believe he's doing anything wrong. He of course see's it later on. But in S1 he is on their side, not as passionate about as they are of course but he is on their side.
Tumblr media
I will say this AU is just something I made because I wanted my comfort characters to interact and it's more of a crack but not crack concept so I haven't thought of everything thoroughly. Hope this answers your question well!
Please people ask me more stuff. It makes me so happy.

The Crossroads [DLC Trespasser]: Shattered Library; Entrance and Courtyard
Tumblr media
The Shattered Library, or Vir Dirthara, are ruins of an ancient elvhen library, suspended between the Waking World and the Fade. It was the living knowledge of the elvhen empire that comprised libraries of every city and wisdom of every court. When Fen'Harel created the Veil, it weakened magic, making elvhen cities and structures crumbled. Vir Dirthara was one of the countless elvhen marvels that were intrinsically tied to the Fade and dependent on its presence that the Veil fractured. Now it is a series of floating isles that barely have any connection one another.
This place is divided into different sections:
Entrance
Courtyard
Broken Tower
Scholar's Retreat
Sundered Hall
Lower Archives
Inverted Ward
[This is part of the series “Playing DA like an archaeologist”]
[Index page of Dragon Age Lore]
Entrance
Tumblr media
We enter to this zone when reaching the isle which has a statue of a Free Marches eagle in the Crossroads. Upstairs, we find the eluvian surrounded by several libraries, reflecting a bit of the nature of the destiny of the mirror. One of the books on the ground triggers the note Books in the Crossroads where we are informed that these books are magical: books are like written in a dream. Maybe this is an important hint to remember for later: this library was deeply related to the Fade before the Veil, it is not like the elvhen mountains [a pocket space], so it may share part of the nature of the Fade itself. Maybe that’s the reason why we see these Free Marches eagles.
The other notes we trigger are Communal Journal of the qunari and Map of the Crossroads, with nothing relevant to say.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we cross the eluvian, we find a Shattered Library, with books spread everywhere in the small isle that survived the catastrophe. There are also some skeletons around, sitting or hiding all over the place, suggesting that some people got trapped here when the Veil was created, and perished later. This is confirmed later by The Archivist.
Tumblr media
There are remnants of elvhen architecture in all the structures that survived in this space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The books found here trigger some codices that I already explained in Ancient Elven codices; Vir Dirthara. We have the victory of Elgar'nan [Signs of Victory], the Exile of the Forbidden Ones, and Homecoming. The three codices give the impression that, if the game put them together in this place for us to combine, we can interpret them as: After the end of the war that Elgar'nan led, the Forbidden Ones were exiled from the lands of the Evanuris for fleeing the battle. The returning to home felt wholesome.
Tumblr media
As an Easter Egg, behind these bookshelves, without moving to another isle, we can find a small camp where we get Sandal's journal. Now, I know Sandal has been a joke character made by the devs since forever, so we should not take this too seriously. The most we can say is that, clearly, Sandal found an eluvian at some point in the year of the Breach [9:41] and explored this place. Or even he activated one with his runes... lol. I don’t know, I feel this is so crappy of an explanation. Anyways, Sandal is not to be taken too seriously, because the devs always used him as an internal joke to release stress. Let’s take it like that and move on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we enter the Library, the first thing we notice are the Free Marches eagles. This is a strange detail at first, since this is not exactly the Fade, but then we remember what The Archivist informed to us, or what Solas told us at the end of Trespasser: This Library was deeply connected to the Fade and the Waking World, so it seems reasonable to interpret that part of the Fade’s nature of reflecting the Waking World worked here, until it fell apart. This concept will explain a lot of strange decoration details.
Tumblr media
The Inverted Ward [the isle upside-down we see in front of us] displays, probably justified in the same way, Tevinter statues that I called them time ago the Female Kossith/ Desire demon /Tevinter Warrior. I’ll talk about them in the “Shattered Library; Inverted Ward”. Briefly, we can say that these statues are part of the decoration of the columns of the Imperial High Way, and have an interpretation to be here.
Tumblr media
From afar we can see a lot of Elven Tree Statue and eluvians, some of them held in big hands, similar in size [or bigger] than the ones in the Dead Hand. The sky shows a green shimmer, almost like a barrier. I imagine it’s the Veil.
Tumblr media
Walking ahead, we can see this space has several floating isles, some even with qunari walking upside-down. Along the path we find an Elven Owl statue on the ground, and some meters close to it, another pair of Free Marches eagles. I wonder why we find so many Free Marches eagles. We can’t even relate this place with Emerius, since it was during a time when the elvhen were already declining to even think that this place reflected Emerius’ rich knowledge on magic in its underground [Read Kirkwall history and design for more details]
Tumblr media
After we pass the pair of eagle statues, we find a red dragon egg. We know already these devices allow the shifting of the paths to let us reach different isles.
Tumblr media
Ahead, there is an eluvian resting on a golden hand [these hands have been seen twice already: in the Dead Hand zone of the Exalted Plains, and in the Fade, specially in Flemeth's Fade-Part 1.
Could they be reflections of the Titans in the Fade? Do we only see their hands because they are the ones that have most purpose all the time, which is to shape the world?. These hands work like a platform for the eluvians to rest. If the Eluvians are suspected to be made out of lyrium [something we didn’t get any confirmation yet] it seems reasonable to see a reflection of a titan’s hand  holding what it creates with its own blood.
This hand in particular is made of gold. We already know that gold is an iconic decorative element used by the elvhen to represent divinty. Could this be an artistic representation of a hand of an Evanuris/god? More like a “daily propaganda” of the Evanuris.  Sadly, this is all speculation and attempts to interpret the reason of these dismembered hands in Fade and in this Library. I don’t feel confident with any in particular.
Tumblr media
These hands also appear holding Elven Trees. We already concluded that these trees seem to have a representation of "power", or "source of power", or even a “titan’s heart” [that train of thoughts was worked in “Ancient Elven codices; Fen’Harel’s mountain ruins”] .
Tumblr media
At the Entrance, we find The Archivist spirit. Due to the shape it has and its colour, it seems to be a standard spirit who speaks ancient elvhen [The interaction with it can be found in the post The Archivist]. It gives us a general idea of what happened here: the Veil weakened the magic that sustained this place, making it fall apart, and trapped several elvhen in it who died slowly and in despair and terror. That would explain the many skeletons found along the way and the occasional demons popping up in some places.
Tumblr media
Since the path to the eluvian resting on a colossal golden hand has fallen and it's inaccessible, we have to find a way around it. Beside the main path, there is an access to an eluvian with a pair of eagles that will lead us to the Courtyard.
Courtyard
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This eluvian flanked by eagle statues leads us to the Ceiling of the Inverted Ward. We can see the Qunari on our ceiling. The eluvian from where we emerge is marked with a pair of Free Marches eagles as well.
Tumblr media
There are two more eluvians in the corners of the Courtyard. These are very peculiar eluvians since on their top they have a symbol of the Sun-head creature and a Bull horn-head creature. It's hard to understand the meaning of these since we saw two statues with similar heads: the Sun-head creature, beside the entrance of the Elven Mountain Ruins; and the Moon-head creature, in the Deep Roads, almost in the entrance to the Uthenera chamber. We have no context to associate with them with the exception of the last trailer of DA:D, in which we associated Urthemiel to one of the symbols shown there, so as simple inference, we assume these are symbols related to the Old Gods. Now, there is no lore about them, so their relationship with the elvhen is a total mystery. I will talk more about them when I get to write a post about that trailer.
Tumblr media
These mirrors are so important, that they are marked with their corresponding symbol in the map.
Tumblr media
The Sun-head creature eluvian sends us to the isle we see behind it: the Sundered Halls. In there, the eluvian from where we come out has the same symbol on top of it. Both eluvians are connected with the same symbol [This doesn't happen with the other one, hence I highlight this in case it’s important somehow].  We have to cross the Sundered Halls to reach the isle of Lower Archives, where we find more codices, Falon’Din’s mosaics, and owl statues with orbs and golden rings, more details in “Shattered Library; Sundered Hall and Lower Archives”.
In the case of the Bull horn-head creature eluvian, it sends us to the Broken Tower, but the eluvian from where we come out has no symbol on it [may it have fallen apart with the catastrophe?]. Then, we cross the Broken Tower to reach the Scholar’s Retreat, where we find the only mural of the Shattered Library: “The creation of the Veil”, with a high probability of having been painted by Solas himself. More details about this in “ Shattered Library; Broken Tower and Scholar’s Retreat”.
Tumblr media
The Courtyard has a central Elven Tree with an excess of Fade energy crackling around it. As we approach it, its Fade energy discharges, which interacts with the Anchor in the Inquisitor's hand. Once we explore the isles of these two eluvians, this energy will be part of the Inquisitor giving it new characteristics. Notice that once more, like in the dark room of the Silent Tower in the Elven Mountain Ruins, or in the the Dead Hand from the Exalted Plains, these trees are associated with energy/ magical power. So connecting them to lyrium is not that odd as I commented in Ancient Elven codices; Fen’Harel’s mountain ruins.
Tumblr media
It's below the tree were we find the codex A Flowering Imago, interpreted in Ancient Elven codices; Vir Dirthara. Notice that such ominous and strange codex is placed beside this tree, the location context usually enhances the codex. It seems to suggest that structures like these [branches that contain pools/flowers filled with bodies that enter Uthenera and are half dead may be a source of power, that potentially can be related to lyrium. There is no confirmation about it, but the idea keeps floating around the player’s mind].
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a nearby bookshelf, there is another book which triggers Birds of Fancy and Attentive Listeners. Both codices give us a general idea of the fluid nature of the creatures that lived in that ancient world, as well as how spirits and elves coexisted without Veil. These codices are more informative about the past, so they are located in the bookshelves, we don’t have much external context in order to interpret them.
Tumblr media
We also find Duel of a Hundred Years, which seems to imply that Elgar'nan won over Falon'Din in an opportunity.  Again, it’s placed in a way that seems to imply it’s merely informative, a piece of the past.
Detailed attempts to interpret these codices can be read in Ancient Elven codices; Vir Dirthara.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a corner of this space we can have some bits of information given by Cole:
These quotes are triggered while observing the Lower Archives, the only place where we find Falon’Din’s mosaic.
He recognises that the Veil is not natural but created to forbid. For some logic leap I can’t understand, Cole says that this artificial nature of the Veil means that he belongs to this place. I’m lost there. We know that Cole’s nature is unique: as a spirit, he created a body in the Waking World and has been living ever since as something that can exist here and in the Fade too if you keep him as a spirit. He never possessed a body, but a body was created for him. Maybe his story will help us eventually to understand what kind of entity the Elvhen are.
Cole tells us that Solas is Fen’Harel in an anagram, that remind us Solas’ personal quest, when his friend of wisdom died. With the banters he had with Cole, we realised that the world is losing too many positive and gentle spirits, and this is in part what may have triggered Solas’ determination to stop this world. This world only destroys good, gentle spirits.
Cole says that the magic here “wakes it”. It seems to be referring to the Anchor. By the end of the game, we know the magic of the Anchor is Solas’ energy accumulated for millennia, and it is killing the Inquisitor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is a third eluvian in the Courtyard, a bit hidden behind the walls and at the end of a corridor, which leads us directly to the Inverted Ward, appearing exactly behind Humanoid Mythal statue. However, the stone bridge is collapsed, so we can’t cross it yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we return from the Lower Archives, after activating the dragon egg there, the Courtyard will show us the “librarians”. It seems to be that these spirits, which purpose probably was organising information in the library, got twisted and purpose-less after the fall of the magic sustaining this space, and ended up being twisted into Terror demons.

it's kind of funny how much of a non-threat the Demon bull family was throughout all of s1. like really what exactly did they do most the time?? they just kind of did things only in the pilot and the finale. Red son did more than his parents with taking over the weather tower in episode 1.
Like ik first seasons are always more laid back but also it's just very funny to see that the demon bull family really didn't do much of anything and the characters barely even thought of them half the time - they were the most minor reoccurring villains.
