Funny bg3 tip for the gauntlet of shar: go into the self-same challenge naked. The game clones your party as they are at the time of the blood sacrifice at the start of the challenge. If you get everyone naked, start the challenge, then redress and re-equip armor, you all fight naked unarmed versions of yourselves.

BG3 is such a funny game I love that while on a rescue mission in an enemy goblin camp you can take a brief diversion to do a bit of hardcore BDSM impact play to impress the Goddess of Pain in front of your entire adventuring party
Yeah sure I'll let this little freak in the leather harness beat me up for a bit. Sorry Gale

Hold on, I was rewatching the recording of last night's game and I might have figured out what Raphael was talking about at Last Light when he said that in the past he had already been there (in those lands) for a contract???
[digs through screenshots, then pulls up recording to take a screenshot of that line]
Because I got some intel about a secret Sharran stash (it costed me disapproval from Astarion but Hrodak is already banging him so who cares) after stomping some rats; also, apparently, the rats were all one person in the past.
And while going around trying to find this hidden whatever I ended up discovering a couple of new places that I didn't even know of when I went around there with Xarann (mayhaps bc I didn't kill the rats and just let them be, so I didn't have anything to search).
There's a cragged rock near the area where there's the Faith-Leap trial, if you go down there, cross the area with huge vases and skulls and get down from another cragged rock. Under the statues of Shar, there's a book/journal called "One Becomes Many" with a brief text signed by Raphael. After reading it, your character will say that "the text speaks of magic that can divide someone into many ...but many what?" then, if you interact with the bloody circle on the ground, and (passing the Arcana check) your character will say that's "A ritual circle. Seems to be infernal in nature".
SO-
The thing Raphael talks about might be this pact that turned [browse recording] Lyrthindor into many... rats.
The other place I found is near the secret Sharran Supplies, but other than a book and a mural about the Mirror of Loss and some random loot (coins and randomised items in a chest) there's nothing useful... Like- the Mirror of Loss over there is broken and that's as far as interacting with it goes. BUT I heard that that there's a working mirror in Act 3 so I wonder if having discovered this area will turn up useful or not!
To conclude(?): I'm having a big wizard moment here...with info found mainly with a barbarian. Neat.
EDIT TO ADD: I could have written it better, probably, but I honestly was full Pepe-Silvia-mode putting together things so you'll have my exact thought process. Kind of.

Cut Content BG3 The Emperor / Daisy
Why those who say they prefer Daisy over The Emperor give me "I don't like it because now I can't jerk off to it knowing he is a mindflayer and was A GUY in his past life so my fragile masculinity gets hurt" vibes???
I could be completely wrong, though
But like, look guys, you can be horny and still being able to think straight and see that the whole Daisy thingy apart from that "giving in" or "resisting" (which personally think would be nice if we had it represented some way in the game, so not becoming a mindflayer under The Absolut will would not be only because of Emperor's efforts but ours too, and our forces combined keep us sane and able to use illithid powers without real consecuences) is just a little piece in the whole picture of the story. The plot is not only about "look, I have a tadpole in my brain". In fact, it stops being just that in Act 1.
And yes, I know the tadpole in your skull is basically the vehicle of the whole fucking plot, but there's much more to it than that and it would be a shame to just reduced it to a "resist or give in" thing
Or at least that's my opinion
