You groaned in frustration as another wave of pain washed over you.

“You doing okay, Garland?” Max looked down at you lying on the couch.

“Yeah, just waiting for my pain killers to kick in,” you moaned in pain while trying to move.

Max sat on the coffee table opposite you.

“You remember our dumb rhyming game from college?”

“It was a fun game.”

“Our fun dumb rhyming game, remember?” you nodded. “What was the longest rhyme we came up with? Something like ‘Liza Minelli eating spaghetti’…”

“…with Betty White on the jetty…” you continued.

“…while the Fratelli…”

“…the steady Fratelli from Napoli threw teddy confetti!”

“Yeah, that’s the one!”

And you both recited the whole thing: ‘Liza Minelli eating spaghetti with Betty White on the jetty while the steady Fratelli from Napoli threw teddy confetti.’

You both laughed.

“Did we every add anymore onto it?” asked Max.

“I couldn’t think of how to add ‘sweaty Yeti with a machete’ into it.”

“I’m sure you could think of some way to add it in.”

At this point, the painkillers kicked in, so you drifted off to sleep while thinking of the possibility of adding new rhymes.

You woke up some time later, pushing back the blanket that was keeping you warm. As you stretched the sleep away, a bowl was presented to you.

“Hey, made you soup,” said Max.

“You made me soup?” your eyes widened in surprise as you took the bowl offered to you.

“Well I heated some up. A nice one, not some cheap stuff from the can.”

The first sip ignited your tastebuds and sent some much-needed happy vibes to your brain.

“It’s a good soup.”

“I’m glad,” he smiled.

“I can’t really imagine you over a hot stove, chopping up vegetables and stuff.”

“As much as I’d look good in an apron, I lack the proper tastebuds to make you a nourishing soup from scratch.”

“I appreciate the gesture though, it’s way more than,” you waved away the name, “he would have done.”

“Let me guess, you had to do everything around the house after doing everything at work, and he would throw a fit if you asked him to change a toilet roll.”

You took another sip, “Something like that.”

“Can’t even get him to staple anything, he’s that useless.”

“He is,” you joined him in laughter.

“Feeling better?” he asked once you both stopped laughing.

“Yeah, I do.”

I want to post more often but it is very difficult lol. im working on some more betty art, I got a new drawing tablet and have been using krita. and I had an amazing con experience and met felicia day! she even posted me on her Instagram. I'm so happy. But my body is exhausted and I don't feel like drawing, I'm in pain lol, we were stuck in traffic for like 5 hours coming home. but I had so much fun and got new prints and a figure! in credit card debt but it's okay cause it was the best day ever. <3

Our Town is at it again. This is Betty the Yeti.

Our Parks and Recs came up with this concept 2 years ago. In the summer they would hide a Bigfoot in one of our many town parks. Then give a vague clue as to which park it was. This was to promote citizens to visit our fine parks. We actually have 3 awesome ones and about 12 meh parks.

First ten people to find it won a free ice cream from Stewart’s. Spawnette and I smashed the contest. We did so good that we were “banned” from continuing. So last summer we didn’t look.

Now in the winter they are doing it again with a different Sasquatch and a different prize. Since it a new thing I don’t imagine we will be banned.

I already know which park this is. I will see if Spawnette is up for the hunt tomorrow morning.

I am thinking of bringing fake mustaches and affixing them to Betty, since they banned us.

Each week we can find her. Claim prize. And affix ‘Stache afterwards.

sorry i gotta jump on this with propaganda for my yeti because SHE* is everything. Her name is Betty and the concept behind her is that she's fiercely protecting her children because you've entered her house without permission.

Betty was once the largest and most complex animatronic built by disney and i think a lot of people forget that since she doesn't work anymore. She is HUGE!!!!! 25 ft tall. imagine that. Seeing her even while she's still is very intimidating even though you're just blasting by her for a few seconds it feels like she's close enough to actually touch you, i can't imagine how frightening it was when she actually moved. The only reason she can't move is that the base which she's sitting on is broken so if they kept her working she probably would have completely crumbled it and they can't exactly repair the damage without taking apart the mountain itself so she's stuck in b mode until eventually the ride needs a huge refurb.

i don't think she's ever going to beat hatbox ghost just due to him being such a fan favorite but Betty is an amazing piece of technology in and of herself and i will not let her go down without at least defending her first
