Part 1: What You Have To Offer

You thought winning the Games was the end of the story? I’m afraid I’ll have to correct you - it’s only the beginning. Beth managed to survive the 72nd Hunger Games at 18 and, although she sometimes wished that she hadn't, deep down she had to admit that her life wasn't all that bad the way it turned out. People were falling over themselves to hand her anything and everything she could ever want and all she had to do was keep up appearances. After all, her husband had an image to uphold and while he treated her well, Beth knew better than to cross President Coriolanus Snow.

Part 2: It's Just Business

If the last months had shown Beth anything it was that everything always was and nothing ever was as it seemed. Snow of course always had a plan, it was just a question of when it benefitted him to let other people in on it. Keeping things hidden from him on the other hand was never an option. At the very least that made otherwise boring meetings and dinners far more interesting.

Part 3: I Live To Serve

Snow and his roses had become inseparable in Beth's mind, it was both a blessing and a curse. To some the roses and their smell were like a threat, a sign of impending danger, demanding fear and respect, to Beth they smelled like comfort and power and passion beyond imagination.

Part 4: Agony, Comfort, Bliss

Beth had gotten used to burying the toll that the time leading up to the 73rd Hunger Games was taking on her during the day but that just made everything resurface with more intensity during the night. The sleep deprivation was eating away at her like a disease while the cure was waiting for her in an unlikely place.

Part 5: Bound By Appearances

A year had passed since winning the 72nd Hunger Games had turned Beth's life upside down. Now, facing the 73rd Hunger Games as a mentor, Beth was forced to confront the nightmares and relive the trauma she had tried so hard to bury. Conflicting emotions clashed with Beth's rational thinking in a desperate search for answers that boiled down to one essential question. How was she supposed to navigate her roles as a victor, a mentor, and most importantly, as Mrs Coriolanus Snow - the wife of the man that was responsible for it all?

Part 6: What I Have To Gain

The Hunger Games served many purposes, one of which was to entertain - but they had never entertained him. The events on screen rarely held his attention - until, unexpectedly, they did. Snow had expected many outcomes, but the 72nd Hunger Games sparking curiosity that would set off a chain reaction was not among them. What followed was a storm that he couldn't - or perhaps, deep down, didn't want to - control. What You Have To Offer - Snow's POV

Part 7: Best Laid Plans

The 73rd Hunger Games marked Beth's debut as a mentor and with it came the toll that Snow knew that the next weeks were bound to take on her. His wife's role came with expectations, and consequences that would affect both of them if she failed to meet those expectations. Snow couldn't shield Beth from what was simply part of her duty but that didn't mean that he couldn't soften the blow within reason. But even the best laid plans often go awry. Both playlists have a fall/winter theme, but I tried to pick lyrics in this one to represent early blooming feelings and distance.
