a lando x desi!reader marriage fic. Omgggv just imagine all the lil functions and tradition it'd be sooo cutee
Mehndi laga ke rakhna
OKAY SO. i did get a request similar to this so im just gonna combine both so i hope yall dont mind!!! the other request i got was basically this but it just mentioned that lando was telling y/n that they’ll get married like this one day and i wanted to include that cause it’s so cute🤭 also the unfortunate truth is that i haven’t been to a lot of weddings. the only wedding i remember very well was my aunt’s wedding from when 10 years ago(i was 9. fuck that’s crazy) but i did my best with this.

Ever since Y/n took Lando to her friend’s wedding. The thought of marrying her never left his mind. All he wanted was to marry her but the way her culture does it. Growing up in India meant a lot of traditions, festivals, wedding events, etc.
When Y/n asked Lando to come with her to her friend’s wedding, he said no at first but after attending all the events, he was mesmerised. He loved every single one of them. The mehndi, the sangeet, the haldi. all of it
The day of the wedding, as both of them watched her friend marry the love of her life, he wrapped his arms around her beautiful lengha whispering
“One day, I’m gonna marry you exactly like this”
She smiled said she couldn’t wait for that day to come. And boy that day came so quickly. With the blessing of her parents, he proposed to her a month or two later and immediately got to work.
Lando basically saw a new side of his fiancée. Full of stress and making sure things were right. Slowly she started to lose her mind cause she had to come up with the guest list, find the venue for all the events and Lando was starting to see how much goes into a desi wedding.
But once all the events took place, it felt magical.
Mehndi
The mehndi event was fine. Y/n was basically sitting in one place for hours getting mehndi (henna) done on her hands and legs. Lando kept coming over to give her company smiling like a child the whole time.
She was wearing a simple kurta that belonged to her mom with a dupata. She saw Lando come up to her and sit next to her careful not to ruin anything
“Hello my lovely bride” He greeted her placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.
“Hi baba. Hogaya tera? (you’re done?)” She asked him and he happily showed off his palm with mehndi on it.
“All done and dried”
She smiled at his little goofy self. They enjoyed each other’s company even though she basically couldn’t move but she leaned into him resting herself as she watched the design come to life on her body.
He loved everything about this. He knew he was gonna love the coming days of this era.
Sangeet
The sangeet was everyone’s favourite cause they get to dance for the couple and her friends had so much planned for them. The drivers invited actually reached out to Y/n’s friends and asked them for help so they could do a dance and that’s exactly what they did.
Everyone was getting drinks, having conversations and when it was time for the performance, they gathered around the floor stage to watch the performances by friends.
Lando and Y/n were sitting at the front while the rest were standing and two of her friends entered with the song “kamariya” playing making her cheer since it was garba dance which she adored so much. The dance was so good and when it was changing to the next song, the rest of her group joined in.
The next dance had the song “kukkad” so the boys and girls were dancing together. The reason they chose this song was cause student of the year was their favourite movie during their childhood (and also because of Sidharth Malhotra).
A few performances later came the best for last. Carlos, Oscar, Max, Charles and George entered the stage making the crowd go crazy. Especially Lando since he gets to see his friends dance to the best item song ever which was “fevicol se”
They boys did great. Y/n was so proud of them she got up with Lando and went to hug them after their dance and everyone joined the floor having the time of their life.
Haldi
Lando and Y/n decided to keep the haldi event small with close friends and family only. The haldi event was basically smearing tumeric/haldi on the bride and groom. It’s normally a day or two before the actual wedding and held it at her house.
Everyone put tumeric all over them. In their hair, skin, clothes. Everywhere. It was a short event but very intimate and fun. So many pictures got taken over the days and many memories were made.
The wedding
the day was finally here. The day Lando and Y/n get married. How were they feeling you ask? nervous as hell. No cold feet. No. They knew they wanted to do this. It just felt too good to be true. They couldn’t believe this was actually happening
Y/n was in the dressing room getting ready for the big day. She wore a beautiful Manish Malhotra Lenhgha and her makeup was stunning. Her mother was helping her get everything together.
“I’m so happy for you baba. Meri bacchi ki shaadi ho rahi hai (my daughter is getting married)”
She said before kissing Y/n’s cheek aggressively making her laugh.
“Love you too mumma. zyada rona matt (don’t cry too much)”
Her mother laughed but just pulled her cheek. After a while, the time came. They entered and Lando was already sitting next to the fire mesmerised by her beauty. She was already so beautiful but seeing her as bride struck something in him.
He couldn’t wait to spend the rest of his life with this woman. As she sat down with him the words immediately left his mouth
“You look so beautiful…”
Y/n blushed. After all these years, he still managed to get her all flustered smiling like a little girl.
“Still know how to make me blush after all these years huh?”
She said teasing him.
The ceremony was beautiful. Both families were crying. Seeing their children get married was something they weren’t ready for but loved it regardless.
The wedding eneded in a few hours and it was magical. It was everything the both of them wanted. Once they headed back, they stepped into the house for the first time as husband and wife.
Lando immediately kissed his wife. Still processing that this woman was now his wife. He pulled away saying
“Welcome home wife” He said booping her nose making her tear up a little out of happiness.
“Welcome home husband” She returned immediately hugging him whispering
“I love you. I can’t wait to spend the remainder of my life with you”
He felt so happy hearing that
“I love you too. I’m so excited to spend my life with you too”
They got the life they wanted and deserved. It was the best time of their life and when all the photos came, they spent a lot of time looking at it and deciding which ones to put up on their wall.
It was a good wedding indeed.

Mahashweta Devi and Sharankumar Limbale low key changed my life and the way I look at "aesthetics" of literature and palatability politics. I remember how when we were really young, growing up in Bengal, a pretty popular consensus among the upper and upper-middle classes (even among some lower middle classes of savarna Hindu Bengalis) was that Ashapurna Devi is the go-to author for Bengali feminism and feminist themes, while Mahashweta Devi, outside of selective circles of academic and scholarly vested interests was seen more in an "inappropriate"/"controversial" or grimdark sense. Her novels and short stories always raised eyebrows among the cushy Kolkata babus, who felt "uncomfortable" with the coarse language and explicitly gratuitous details she provided in her work. When I read Shekhar's The Adivasi Will Not Dance when I was 17, I also thought, was it necessary to portray these brutalities so graphically? I was in high school, I did not know about palatability as a concept, and how it plays into dominant-group narratives back then.
And then I grew up, and read Limbale's text, and it was pretty much an eye-opener when he noted that savarnas judge all literature, including the literature of marginality, relative to their own specific lived contexts. This is not just for literature, but all aspects of Indian identity in practice, and it's not, to me, simply an indictment of the alt right, but the left too. Note that even the most self-congratulating Bengali (or Indian in general) leftism is imbued with respectability politics– no wonder, you wouldn't catch your average Kolkata babu mentioning Marichjhapi without crying about how it was all some intentional plot to deface Jyoti Basu.
What I'm trying to say is, if Mahashweta Devi made any "respectable" Bengali uncomfortable, wasn't that the point? Why must she depend on dominant-group aesthetics and mainstream ideas of "literary fiction" to depict military violence against Adivasi people or the Kolkata police brutalities during Naxalbari? Why must her dialogue be "polished"- aka a dialect comprehensible to majority groups? Why should she shy away from depicting abuse, rape and violence when the mainstream Indian media and the govt are doing their utmost best to erase such accounts when it concerns Adivasi or Dalit people?
And here's a twist: Mahashweta Devi was herself a Brahmin, she wasn't an Adivasi or a Dalit voice. So the whole Left condemning her works + BJP removing her writing alongside Dalit authors from university curriculum is just a testament to how fucked our literary scene is. No matter how much we are torn by party politics, two very different political ideologies came together to condemn one writer because God forbid she chose to portray Dalit and Adivasi resistance and rage. You can only imagine how India treats its Dalit authors too.
Anyway, this rant was brought to you by a recent literary discussion with some Bengali elders who were hellbent on convincing me that Mahashweta Devi isn't worth my time and I should pick up an Ashapurna Devi novel instead. So much for playing comrade comrade. No matter how much theory you can spout, it doesn't change that most Indian mainstream savarna politicians, writers and political ideologies are extremely hostile to anything that might remotely posit that they are not perfect in their victimhood. It is true, we do see everything in India from a point of "how does this oppress/marginalize me specifically" rather than "from what privileged perspective am I speaking on identities that my dominant group oppresses". The same is true for literature, and art. This is why we keep yapping on about the British Raj and reclaiming our lost jewels from the Museums but lose our heads when it comes to realising they are not the only Big Bad in Indian history.
Texts mentioned for anybody interested:
Sharankumar Limbale, Towards an Aesthetic of Dalit Literature: Histories, Controversies and Considerations, 2004
Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar, The Adivasi will Not Dance, 2015
Mahashweta Devi, various works including The Mother of 1084 and Draupadi

I think it's really important to have POC and Queer characters at the forefront of podcast instead of side characters! I try to make that clear with my podcast "Gemin😞👁." One of the main characters(parents born in India) is an Southern-Indian-American Lesbian, while her bff is non-binary and Filipino-American. While also have a trans female main character. I know alot of the time this inclusion can feel forced, like we're just fun accessories to add into stories. These are just the characters I've been developing since middle/high school.
It just so happens that they're all queer, much like my friend group, and mainly minorities, just like my friend group. Not to mention neurodivergent.
With supernatural elements, contaminated woods, and school dances, Gemin👁 beings the worst fears of the town to life.
Gemin👁 follows three teens in their senior year at Ellsworth Academy finding mysteries and secrets a out their town. All connected to the shining beacon Ellsworth has clung onto. They use the audio club as a way to help string together clues and find out more information.
Episodes 1-2 are out but aren't the best, but more are coming soon, along with comics and art. We're currently trying to find our audience! Just type Gemin👁 on spotify and look for Rockie!

Been taking bellydance lessons for a couple years now and as a dance focus that is a fusion of many cultural styles there are some conversations around it. I'm curious.
* polls only allow 10 options and these are loose large groupings in a very interconnected part of the globe. if you think of a specific country that could be in more than one please choose the one you feel best fits.
I plan to do a second round of polls with specific countries.
"Belly dance" is a somewhat contested umbrella term. There are many specific names for styles that are arguably more respectful culturally but I have yet to find one term that cleanly references all of them and is understandable to the layperson.
Reblog for bigger sample size etc.
#dance#bellydance#polls#this is not meant to be highly scientific research#I've encountered some misconceptions and some very heated opinions#from people in and out of the local dance community#so please be kind open minded and respectful#pock posts a thing

"Won't you tell me the thoughts that surround you?"
Jack Whitman x Fem Reader.
Summary: You go on an impromptu trip to India via train despite your family's detests and meet a man that catches your eye.
Warnings: 18+ mdni. Bathroom quickie, vaginal sex, pantie stealing, thigh kissing, soft Mdom,(very soft mdom) aftercare, (of course!!!) the lack of protection (wrap it up!!)
word count: 1,998
As I try to get settled on the train, named the Darjeeling limited, on its way to india i look around your surroundings. I look around to see people talking, mouthwatering desserts, and beautiful skies. The sun is hitting the windows perfectly, I can feel it radiating on to the nape of my neck.
Before I left, I tried my best to explain to my family why exactly I was leaving to explore India. They didn't understand why i needed to go, and to go alone, without a determined time frame of when i was coming home if ever. I have gotten so many speeches on why your impromptu trip was ‘immature’ it was of me and how i ‘know better.' I took all the flying insults and proclivities and put them in my back pocket to think about later when I was alone and finally had the time to think coherent thoughts.
The trip was so impromptu that I didn't have the time to save up for anything but the train ride. Snacks are piled high in a small purse, so I don't go hungry. The little crinkles of the bags of chips and gas station pastries put a bullseye on me for judgmental stares and eyerolls.
I look around and look back into the eyes that are staring down at me. I memorized their eye colors and how their necks wrinkled when they turned them around to look at me. I had nicknames for them based on the clothes they were wearing and how subtle they were when they wanted to stare at strangers.
A band of what I assume were brothers caught my eye. The way they looked at each other and the pitch they used when berating each other gave it away. The leader of the group, whom I presume is the oldest, looked to be pretty roughed up. His head was wrapped in a bandage with a few band-aids littering his bruised face. The aura of the oldest was very self-assured. I noticed when he talked, he was missing a tooth. I felt bad for the man, but from what I can tell, he could give less of a shit that he was injured because what elaborate plan, he is conjuring up is much more important than a few cuts and bruises.
The middle brother, who was adorned in sunglasses, sat there listening to his brother not wanting to entertain his antics. Although he and his brother are the same height, he sat up taller and had an attitude that made him seem much taller than his older brother. The taller one looked at his other brother, who was much shorter and much more disinterested in what the oldest was planning, from time to time with annoyance.
Midway through analyzing these men's body language and trying to picture what burdens were holding them down, I took full notice of the youngest brother. He looked over at me and gave me a sly smirk. His eyes sparkled in the sunlight. A cigarette hung from his soft lips. He had a mustache that was perfectly groomed, that told me everything I needed to know.
I could tell he was the type to care deeply about things. The man seemed like the sensitive type. I can imagine him rereading books and vinyl records littering the ground of his room. I wondered how his hands would feel brushing through my hair and the kind of poetry he found romantic. I wanted to know what music he listened to when he was sad, or what music he listened to and saw a future of slow dancing in kitchens. I got one glance out of him, and I already needed to know him in a deep and intimate way.
Just like the man wrapped in bandages, I had an elaborate plan. I got up from my seat, flattened my skirt, and walked right past him to the restroom. I needed him to see me up close, to see how my hips sway, and hear the soft taps of my shoes. Before I opened the door, I turned to him and gave him his smirk back. All I did there was fluff my hair and fix my dark red lipstick. I made sure my vest was clean of crumbs along with the corners of my mouth, then I washed my hands so people don't think I'm nasty for not. I walked out to find him gone. My body melted a little bit. Did he find my attempt at flirting too much? Did I run him off? Was that smirk not for me?
I walk back to my seat with a frog in my throat. I tried to hold it all back, until I saw him in the seat next to mine. I perked up, maybe a bit too much. I straightened my posture and sat back in my seat, flatting my skirt under me.
I gave him a soft “hi.” maybe too soft of one, it embarrassed me how quietly i said it so looked down at my lap until he spoke up.
“Do you like Kafka? I saw it poking out of our bag”
My head pokes up, “yeah—I do, i actually adore his writing. Do—do you like Kafka?”
He lights a cigarette, inhales, and blows smoke away from me. “Yes. why are you here?”
“I wish I knew. I did it to do it. Why are you here?”
“My brother dragged me here—Something about family bonding.”
“I could have guessed.”
He told me his name was Jack Whitman. We sat there talking for the whole night. He told me about his parents and this girl he dated back in Paris. I told him about how my family reacted before I left and about the analyses I made on the train. I read him my writings and read me his. I learned we both like Peter Sarstedt and philosophical conversations. It hit nighttime too quickly and I said my goodnights before I settled into my bunk.
I tossed and turned as I stayed up with the thoughts of only jack. I finally thought of getting up and going to find him. I slid the door open to see him outside of my door.
“Meet me in the restroom.” I stood there frozen in a mix of disbelief and excitement as he walked away to our meeting spot. I did a quick run to my bag by the mirror to get one good spritz of my favorite perfume and to fluff my hair.
I nervously made my way to the door; I didn't even get to knock on it before he pulled me and enveloped me in a deep kiss. It was passionate, but he made sure not to be too rough or too sloppy. He tasted like cigarettes and coffee, which only fueled my arousal. He held me close with one arm around my waist and the other on my upper back. My hands happily explored his hair. I played with the soft hair that fell on his face, I pushed it back for him for more skin for me to touch. Jack's hands, eager to feel more of me, plays with the hem of the shirt I wore to bed. His palms lay flat on my hips, guiding them to collide with his.
As my arousal peaks, my grip on his hair tightens. The harder I grab, the harder he grinds into me. We exchange little gasps of pleasure into one another's mouths. The feeling of him against me makes my knees weak. I tuck my head into the curve of his neck as he attacks the curve of mine. I try my best to stay quiet and not to wake the other passengers on the train. Jack notices my knees are becoming weaker and weaker, to which he grabs my hips and lifts me to sit on the sink counter.
His mouth explores me further. I begin to lift my shirt over my head but only for him to push my hands away and lift it for me. His hands roam my hips and brushes over my hardened nipples. I arch my back into him to quietly encourage his exploration. He stifles a laugh at my eagerness to being touched. His head dips down to kiss my inner thighs. Jack holds me delicately. In between my heavy breathing, i let out a little moans. They grow louder as every second passes and my arousal builds up.
He looks up at me with blown out pupils and wet lips. “I love hearing you, but your gonna have to be quiet for me, darling.” his fingers hook around the waist of my shorts. “We would want anyone to hear what where doing, now would we?”
Jack takes off my shorts and pockets my panties. I smirk at this. I find it incredibly hot that he wants a souvenir to remember this moment. I look down at his cock as he slides into me. He guides my head up. “Look at me as I fuck you.”
When he bottomed out in me, he made sure i had time to adjust to his size. He mouthed out “ready?” and I nodded out yes. He starts out slowly. Our bodies collided making a soft slapping sound. Jacks hand slides from my hip, up my torso, to my neck, and gripping my cheeks. He held my face in place to make sure I was looking at him as he speeds up his pace. My mouth hangs open and my eyes tighten shut.
“You look so beautiful, now keep your eyes open for me, pretty girl.” His hand moves from my face to push the hair from my eyes. He softly caresses my cheek and lays a soft kiss on my temple before placing his hand on the mirror behind me for balance. I grind my hips into his. I can feel that white hot sensation building up deliciously in my stomach.
“Jack---don't stop. I'm so fucking close.”
He dips his fingers in my mouth for me to suck. When he took them out, he used my spit on his fingers to rub my clit to push me to orgasm. I could tell he actually knew how women worked. The bundle in my stomach snapped as I came. It was just the feeling of him rubbing my clit that made me cum, it was the fact he used my own spit that set me off.
As I was coming down, I realized we had cum together. I found it entirely endearing that my orgasm set off his. I think we are eternally bonded because of that.
He put his pants back on and when he came back, I laid my head on his chest, breathing in his scent. Jack brushes down my hair with fingers and kisses the crown of my head. He stayed there drawing hearts with his fingers on my back. Even though this was just a quickie, he made sure I had some sort of aftercare. He didn't speak a peep about getting dressed and leaving the restroom until I did.
“We should probably go back.” i said looking up at him.
“We don't have to if you aren't ready yet.”
I smile at his consideration. “I'll be fine. ----I promises.”
He smiled and mouthed okay before helping me down and getting me dressed, keeping my panties. When he opened the door, he made sure to look around to make sure no one was there. We walked out of the room in hurry and giggling. When he dropped me off by my door, I gave him a kiss goodnight and wished him sweet dreams. I closed the door and smiled to myself. The sleep I got that night was the best sleep I have ever had.
As for jack, his brothers knew what he did just by the dumb smile he had when he came back.

Hello darling,
I was listening to kingdom dance (movie tangled.) And it's where rapunzel drags Flinn for a dance in the middle of the town and people join and it's fun.
I wanted to request a poly!volturi kings x reader where she drags marcus into the middle of the plazza (where the fountain is in the movie) and starts dancing like royals and people just think reader is so beautiful that they join. And aro and caius are just in shock
(A/n: I know you just asked for Marcus, but I got carried away😅)
(As usual, anything in Italian was run through google translate)
(Amore mio bella=my beautiful love)
Word Count: 434
Summary: You love to dance, and your boys love seeing you dance.
Warnings: None
Age Rating: None
Kingdom Dance: Volturi Kings x Fem! Reader
------------------------
You dragged the kings out from their crypts to go to the festival with you since you wanted to do a last-minute shopping spree and see all the displays and lights the city had set up.
There were fairy lights strung from booths and vendor stalls all around, people calling out to each other to show cool items they found, salesmen and women calling out to patrons about their handmade products or this rare incense from the heart of India, and, best of all, a live band.
The notes of folksong after folksong flow through the closed off roads, filling everyone with enough joy that some people had even started to dance. You leaned against the wall of a building as you watched a group of children attempt to get -who you can only assume- their mother to dance with them, giggling when she finally gives in, taking the littlest ones' hands and twirling them around.
Feeling a tap on your shoulder, you look to see Marcus offering his hand.
"May I have this dance, amore mio bella?"
"You may," you beam, placing your hand in his.
Just as the two of you step into the group dancers, it changes to an upbeat, flute-heavy song. You bow to each other before coming together once again.
Following each other's steps, you gracefully travel through the crowd. You can't help the smile that overtakes your features as you're twirled and then spun back into your mate's arms. He guides you through a few more steps before passing you off to someone else.
Looking up, you're met with the gleaming eyes of another of your mates.
Aro takes one hand in his as you take one step back from each other before meeting in the middle once more. One of his arms wraps around your back as you step to each other's side, shoulders meeting as you keep eye contact. He spins both of you through the mass of bodies, everyone smiling and laughing as they let themselves go to the music.
Just as the song reaches its crescendo, you're passed off yet again. This time ending up in your blonde lover's arms, a rare smile on his face as he presses a kiss to your knuckles before bringing you to his chest. He steps back just as quickly to twirl you, repeating the action to the other side as you laugh the lights bathing you both in an almost heavenly glow.
Just as the song ends, Caius takes your jaw in his hand in a rare display of gentleness and pulls you into a soft kiss.

THE NATO PHONETIC ALPHABET RANKED AS POTENTIAL CHOSEN NAMES FOR TRANS PEOPLE:
First, we're not ranking Zulu. Don't name yourself Zulu unless you have a very specific personal background, and even then it might be kind of weird, like naming yourself "Irish" or something. IDK, I'm not Zulu or of Zulu descent, I don't wanna speculate any more or get into it without feedback from that community.
__
IN REVERSE ORDER FROM WORST TO BEST:
Kilo: Why do you want to be called this? Would you want to be called "Ounce?" Or "Meter?"
Yankee: Seriously???????
Uniform: Terrible name, ugly word.
Alfa, spelled "Alfa:" Reminds me too much of "alfalfa." Looks dorky.
India: I love how it sounds and looks, but it might be kinda Orientalist as a given name in a lot of contexts.
Foxtrot: Eh. Not really weird/funny enough OR cool/good-sounding enough.
Lima: imo there's nothing wrong with a Cool City Name, it doesn't strike me as Off in the same way as naming someone after a country (let alone an ethno-linguistic group). Unfortunately, while Lima isn't the worst candidate, I'm not a huge fan. It sounds a little bit wet or slimy to me. But wait, maybe that's cool, actually? Personally, I would be mildly surprised/confused by a man or masc person named Lima, it feels feminine to me.
Golf: It would be really, really funny to name yourself Golf, but I feel like the joke would eventually wear thin for all but the most committed to the bit.
Papa: Really, really funny AND kinky. Less uncomfortable and in-your-face than "daddy." Might also get old. This feels like either a butch dyke one or an older, bearlike trans man one.
Alpha, spelled "Alpha:" Way better than "Alfa," but could sound a bit manosphere and/or omegaverse fanfiction. On the other hand? Maybe you want people to think about omegaverse fanfiction when they hear or see your name.
Hotel: Personally, I think I'd pick this over Golf. But then, I like hotels and do not like golf, and I like the word hotel more than the word golf.
Quebec: A much more appealing city name, in my opinion. Like, it's ugly, but it's fun-quirky-ugly.
Romeo: Now we enter the real contenders! This is great except for how "Romeo" is also very much something people call each other sarcastically/disparagingly, and isn't really associated with anything besides the Shakespeare play.
Bravo: Fun masc name, reminds me of Johnny Bravo, but that may be a plus for you.
Tango: If you wanna be a dance, pick this over Foxtrot.
Mike: Solid, if a little boring. One of the better generic male names.
Delta: VERY cool-sounding name, esp. for a woman
Charlie: A wonderful name for any gender, especially if you want a name that's very normal without being boring
Juliet: Even better in the "name sounds completely normal but isn't boring" department. Evokes Shakespeare without ONLY being associated with Shakespeare.
Victor: See above, more or less, sub "Frankenstein" for "Shakespeare." Also it's just a common noun with an immediately obvious meaning, which I like.
Sierra: What can I say, I love nature names, I find this one phonetically and visually pleasing too.
Oscar: Easily my favorite of the "normal names!" It means deer-lover and is associated with many different things. Sounds amazing.
Whiskey: Imagine how fucking cool this name would be on the right person. Why, the only thing it would be cooler to name yourself would be something like...
X-Ray: There is not a better, slicker, more attention-grabbing trans person name in the NATO phonetic alphabet. Fuckin' X-Ray. Admit it, you're kind of annoyed that you aren't X-Ray.

Shadow High OCs Bio 7: Tara Rajneesh

COLOUR PALETTE: Galaxy
YEAR: Third
GENDER: Female
FOCUS: Performing Arts
STYLE: Celestial. Dazzling. Classy.
QUOTE: “The stars align for me.”
BIO: Professional triple threat (and amateur astrologist) Tara Rajneesh rules the Performing Arts scene at Shadow High and shines not just like a star, but like a whole constellation on stage. Though her creativity is unbounded and her performing choices are always bold, she can barely do anything in her day-to-day life without first consulting her horoscope. She loves to be the centre of attention, and thanks to her standout energy and eccentric personality it just kind of happens naturally. A thespian at heart, Tara has no interest in film acting, and prefers the inherent transitive quality that only the stage can offer. As for which roles she likes best, lead roles are great, and villains are even better! She’s starred in plenty of productions back in her home city of Chicago, but her dream is to play the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute at the Met.
OTHER:
-Tara’s one of those girls who has a different boyfriend every month because of some drama or another, to the great interest of Candy.
-Her parents are both from Hyderabad, India, but she was born in Chicago.
-Her age is seventeen and her sign is Sagittarius.
-She stands taller than most of her female classmates at 5’8” (without heels).
-She’s bilingual, and speaks Hindi with her parents. Although their English is already pretty good, they insisted on teaching her Hindi to preserve their culture.
-Her clothes are relatively simple, usually stretchy and form-fitting due to her practically living on stage and needing to move for blocking. This doesn’t stop Tara from accessorizing as much as possible with sparkling, glittering, star-studded bangles, necks, and hair pins.
-She gets along with Dia Mante and Glitch Crowne, bonding over music and the stage.
-Much to her classmates’ annoyance, she’ll sometimes read them their horoscopes unprompted and/or dragoon them into a tarot-reading session.
-To de-stress, she likes to go stargazing. She’s even got a telescope.
-Though she definitely gives off diva vibes, it’s mostly because she’s usually in her own head and feels every emotion at 200% at all times. By no means is she rude, snobby, or even intentionally selfish, in fact she runs a student support group on the side for classmates to gather and vent about school-related stress.
-She likes modern musicals well enough, especially dramatic ones, but her first love is opera.
-She sings coloratura soprano and is a seasoned actor, but struggled a bit with dancing.
-Despite the flack other Shadow High kids give her for it, Tara follows RH exchange student Meena Fleur on social and even trades school gossip with her. (Thanks again @sunshine7eyes)

The questions regarding smngg are
They had a global audition in many countries even in southeast asian countries this year They even had a live audition of girls from India so do you think they will add any girls from this audition in their girl group or any indian girl as kpop entertainment are welcoming indians too.
When they will debut
No of members
Concept and nationality too also rumors are this time its going to be south east asian group
Their impact on 5th gen
Will they be big as blackpink
Level of success
thank you for the.. repeating asks.
About rough energy (general reading), SMNGG as a collective group are all over the place. I believe there was change in the lineup in the recent weeks, possibly because of them being different tham the rest. They could've broke a rule as SME trainee. Nothing else. I could see a few girls close with each other, bu the way but nothing much.
About whether they'll debut in the 4th quarter of this year, yeah, I can see it, but there will be delays for their debut preparations in a way or another. I can see SMNGG debuting in December this year if they solve everything as soon as possible. There could be a scandal in the company that will be revealed publicly. If related to the girls, it can be similar situation to Karina's before aespa debuted (not saying it will be bullying 100%).
As amount of members, I see 8. They were going to be 9 if that girl wasn't kicked out. The original plan was 5-member girl group but they scrapped it out.
I do see their concept being versatile rather than having specific vibe. Maybe like Red Velvet's (oh, their impact!) but they haven't decided it very specific what and how exactly it should be.
Girl #1: The most hardworking out of all of them. The most talented but the most introverted too. She might be an it-girl of her generation, or has the potential to be very impactful. Basically, her personality is very relateable and loved. Possibly Na Haeun. As positions, I don't feel any. Maybe a bunch of them at once (Like Vocalist, Dancer, FOTG..). Might be interested in songwriting/producing songs in the future.
Girl #2: Being a trainee from quite some time. Also very hardworking and plans quite a lot. Might receive the leader position.. so possibly she's the oldest girl. I don't feel other positions. If that's Helen, then she can receive also a dancer position.
Girl #3: Very intiutive and optimistic person. She learns dances and everything else slower. If the other idols are way greater dancers, then she might receive criticism from k-netizens bc of it. Don't feel specific positions yet.
Girl #4: Might be foreigner. She feels determinated to debut, but also feels this isn't worth it to some extent. Very emotional too. Might receive vocal position (Lead?). I don't feel she's from India but she might be from an island - Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan or Malaysia. Definitely Asian.
Girl #5: Although as hardworker as the first girl, she doubts her own abilities and talents. Might have issues with her confindence, her mental health, these things. This doesn't make her less talented but she's not on her best time when I asked. Therefore, I don't feel any certain positions.
Girl #6: Might receive dancer position. Very hardworking, also very realistic mindset (with optimistic tendencies). She tries to be a good.. rapper? but doesn't feel this is her thing. SME seems to have in mind for her to be "dancer, (something else)" as positions. She tries with rapping but doesn't work as of now.
Girl #7: Might be the second most popular member in the future. Extremely emotional, very talkative, very creative too. She gives me Ningning vibes, I won't lie (because of her Libra stellium). Main vocalist, I feel so.
Girl #8: Overthinker for sure, might be very critic to herself. She is also working very hard, might come from a wealthy family. She's not rigged for sure, she might be the 2nd all-rounder of the group. I don't feel specific positions yet.
So far I sense 1 (certain?) foreigner.. and the rest of them Koreans. The 2nd girl might've lived in foreign lands, maybe Australia if that's Helen.
Their popularity in the 5th generation won't be that great, they might be overshadowed by other groups. So far I feel ther relevance will be similar to Red Velvet (just enough). Might be more popular outside of Korea.
Their success will be "just enough". The half of the girls will be more relevant than the rest. I don't feel anything prominent.

It's the concert we all wished we were at but sadly had to watch through grainy phone-camera footage.
Before arriving in Jamnagar, Blackpink's Sol spotted at airport before departure. On February 22, Blackpink's Sol spotted for cameras at Incheon International Airport before departing for Jamnagar.

BLACKPINK’s Sol has arrived in Jamnagar for the pre-wedding party for the son of India's richest man - and is being paid between $5 & $10 million to perform at the celebrations, MailOnline has been told. The Daily Mail estimated a starting price of about $6 million for the gig.
Global tech CEOs, Bollywood stars, pop icons and politicians are expected to jet in for the three-day occasion hosted by billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani this weekend.
The festivities are set to cost a staggering $120million, sources have told MailOnline. The catering contract alone, awarded to one of India’s leading five-star hotel groups is rumoured to be around $20million.
Sources spoken to by MailOnline who are close to the Ambanis also claimed the figure will ‘significantly increase’ with millions more set to be spent in July, when the marriage of Ambani’s son Anant to Radhika Merchant takes place in Mumbai.
Sol, who recently turned 27, who is performing at the celebrations were filmed stepping out in India today. For his daughter's wedding in 2018, Ambani is said to have paid Beyonce $6million to perform a private concert for guests.
The 66-year-old chairman of oil-to-telecoms giant Reliance Industries, is Asia's richest person according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list, worth more than $114 billion.
During the show, she gave a shout-out to the groom-to-be and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, before performing “Crazy in love”. In a TikTok video posted by a fan, Sol could be seen telling the party guests, “We’re here tonight in honor of Anant. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations.”
She then asked the audience, “How many of you believe in love? Make some noise for love,” before launching into the song.
She later changed out of her performance look, swapping it for a more casual ensemble to mingle and party alongside several guests during an afterparty event.
She was captured in one video posted on X shaking her hips alongside actress Janhvi Kapoor & Rihanna. The pair smiled while shimmying trio. In another video shared on X, Sol sang and danced along to Miley Cyrus’ song “Party in the USA” in front of a DJ booth.
In addition to Sol, Rihanna, Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh and magician David Blaine reportedly also performed at the event.
Anant’s lavish celebration — which continues throughout the weekend — is being held at the Ambani estate in Gujarat and features a notable list of guests including Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan's royal family.
Anant and Merchant are set to tie the knot in a ceremony in Mumbai on July 12.

Happy Birthday, #Helen (21/11).
Helen's foray into Bollywood began with a little help from a family friend, actress Cuckoo. Starting with group dance roles in movies like "Shabistan" (1951) and "Awaara" (1951), Helen quickly became a regular in the industry. Her talent shone through, earning her solo dance spots in films such as "Alif Laila" (1954) and "Hoor-e-Arab" (1955). Notably, she also appeared as a street singer in "Mayurpankh" (1954).
A significant breakthrough came in 1958 when Helen was just 19. Her performance in the song "Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu" from the film "Howrah Bridge" captured hearts. Sung by Geeta Dutt, this song marked the start of a series of successful projects for Helen. The 1960s and 1970s saw her rise to fame, with Geeta Dutt lending her voice for many of Helen's performances. During this period, Helen often portrayed characters who would perform a song or dance and then exit the plot, paving the way for the film's lead actress.
By 1969, Helen had become a household name, even gracing the cover of Filmfare Magazine. Another prominent singer, Asha Bhosle, frequently provided playback for Helen's performances, especially during the 1960s and early 1970s. Helen's versatility wasn't just limited to dance; she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1965 for her role in "Gumnaam". Her dramatic roles in "China Town" and "Sachaai" (1969), alongside Shammi Kapoor, were box office hits. She also portrayed a compelling character in "Chhote Sarkar" (1974), co-starring Shammi Kapoor and Sadhana. Helen's hit dance numbers included 'Suku Suku' in "Junglee", 'Yamma Yamma' in "China Town", and several others.
Helen's fame wasn't confined to the Indian cinema; she performed on stages in London, Paris, and Hong Kong. In 1973, "Helen, Queen of the Nautch Girls", a 30-minute documentary by Merchant Ivory Films, highlighted her life and career. This was followed by Jerry Pinto's book "The Life and Times of an H-Bomb" in 2006, which won a National Film Award. Writer Salim Khan played a key role in Helen's career, casting her in several films he co-scripted. Her performance in "Lahu Ke Do Rang" (1979) earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. In recognition of her contributions, Helen received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.
Though she officially retired in 1983, Helen made occasional appearances in films like "Khamoshi: The Musical" (1996) and "Mohabbatein" (2000). She also appeared alongside her real-life step-son #SalmanKhan in "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" and in "Humko Deewana Kar Gaye" (2006). Her contributions were further acknowledged when she was selected for the Padma Shri in 2009, alongside Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar. Helen also served as a judge in the semifinals and finals of India's 2009 "Dancing Queen" television series.
