Purifying Your Skin with Vegan Cleansing Oils
Face cleansing oil can be a great addition to your daily skincare routine. It would cleanse your face while retaining hydration, so your skin is never stripped of its natural moisture. Since cleansing is a crucial part of your skincare, it’s best to use a vegan cleansing oil to help remove makeup and built-up dirt and impurities which clog the skin and can cause breakouts. Recently, the double cleansing method has become more popular. This is a method to cleanse once with a product to remove makeup and then cleanse again to remove any impurities left over. A cleansing oil can give you crucial help with this double-cleaning method. But why go for buying vegan cleaning oil? Read on about the benefits of cruelty-free cleansing oil products and how to choose one.
Tumblr media
Why use vegan cleaning oil?
Vegan cleansing oil can benefit both skin and the environment. The best cruelty-free cleansing oil is manufactured without animal testing to ensure no harm is done to the animal during the production process. Regarding skin benefits, the best vegan cleansing oil is made of plant-based ingredients rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins that promote a healthy and glowing complexion. Using vegan oil cleansers for dry skin is more sustainable and eco-friendly than animal products, and the production process has less carbon footprint. Since vegan cleansing oils are packaged in recyclable or biodegradable packaging, they reduce waste and help protect the planet. When you choose a plant-based product, you can enjoy healthy skin while making a positive difference in the world.
How to choose the best vegan product?
While choosing your vegan cleansing oil, make sure it comprises essential nutrients to help nourish and hydrate skin. The detoxifying vegan oil cleansers should not contain mineral oil or essential oils, so the cleansing oil is gentle on your skin and suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. The vegan facial cleansing oil has to be non-comedogenic to not clog your pores, so it’s a good cleansing product option for those suffering breakouts or blackheads.
Going vegan does not only have to be limited to your diet. Introduce vegan cleansing oil into skin care for making an ethical purchasing decision and a smart choice for those who want to care for their skin while promoting animal welfare. It would encourage not only your overall skin health but also your environmental health.

here’s what i tested this month - march 2024
Tumblr media
if you wouldn’t like to see posts like this, block the tag “🤍 lifestyle tag” 🖤
🕯 little disclaimer: these are all my own opinions; nothing incentivized or gifted; all bought on my own; products will always work differently for different people, so these may work differently for you
BYOMA Cleansing Oil ($12.99)
5/5 - I picked this up from my local target - I have been really enjoying this cleanser. When I have on makeup, I use this then the Milky Jelly Cleanser, but a lot of days I use this as my only cleanser. It’s really gentle on the skin and cleanses it without overly stripping it. This is probably one of the best oil cleansers I’ve ever tried. And it’s at Target. I use two pumps for my face. It removes eye makeup very gently and thoroughly without tugging on the skin or lashes. I was able to remove glitter with this too. I’ve personally used olive oil before when my mascara just wouldn’t come off and this cleanser works better than that. For reference.
PACIFICA Vegan Collagen Recovery Night Cream ($26.00)
2/5 - I bought this at target for $22.00 USD and since then there has been a price increase. I really wanted to like this night cream. Now, this is a collagen night cream, which contrary to popular clickbait skincare, does not increase collagen production. It contains collagen, which does not penetrate the deep layers of the skin (where your own collagen is produced), but what it does do is condition the skin a lot. Topical collagen is very good for that. That’s what I bought this with intentions of, since I tend to have normal to dry skin with topical dehydration, plus skin sensitivity. Now, this cream made my skin flush and it really didn’t moisturize as much as I expected it to as a night cream. This has some fragrance in it and I think that’s the ingredient that my skin did not like. It was not a good sensation. Way too expensive for what it is.
Saltair Serum Body Wash ($12.00)
5/5 - I got this at my local target, in scents “Exotic Pulp” and “Lush Greens”. I love both of the scents. As previously mentioned, I have sensitive skin. All my skin is sensitive. I’ve been really struggling to find a good body wash that isn’t very expensive and works for my skin. It’s probably been 4 years of looking for something that worked. This works. This body wash is very gentle without leaving the skin feeling “grubby” or oily. I can use this on my chest, where I have issues with body ache and breakouts, and I believe the niacinamide in this formula actually helped with that. “Exotic Pulp” is a tropical, citrus scent, like mangos, passionfruit, and oranges .”Lush Greens” is a very green smell, like a kale drink, but with a little bit of fruit, very fresh. I love both of these. A lot. I haven’t had dry patches, irritated areas, or hives, which I have had before from other body washes. And it’s $12.
Necessaire Body Wash ($25)
4/5 - I ordered this directly from Necessiare’s website. This is a really good body wash. I don’t really like the “Eucalyptus” scent, but it does smell like diluted eucalyptus, so it does smell like that. This doesn’t irritate my skin, I’m just not a massive smell of the scents. They do have an unscented version available. My biggest issue with it is the price. I don’t want to pay $25 for a body wash. It’s really good though. I just wish it was a little cheaper for how much you get. My favorite scent is “Bergamot” in this line, which is very bergamot and almost mossy. It’s good.
Necessaire Body Lotion ($28)
4/5 - I ordered this directly from Necessaire’s website. This is one of the only body lotions I’ve used that works for my skin. No breakouts, no greasy film, my skin actually absorbs it, and no irritation. My skin does not like coconut oil and this product has none. This one has no fragrance added so that’s not a factor I need to worry about. I hate the price. I don’t wanna pay $28 for something I go through rather quickly. But this lotion saved me this winter. So. I’ll probably still buy it but begrudgingly.
Frenshe Body Wash ($10.99)
3/5 - I got this at my local target. This is a pretty good body wash. I’m personally not crazy about any of the scents, but they are certainly not bad at all. My biggest qualm about this is that it dried out my skin a bit. It left it feeling tight. However, if you can tolerate body wash better than me, you’ll probably like it. I think the scents are generally very gender-neutral.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner ($13.00)
4/5 - I got this at my local Target since it has an Ulta Beauty inside. I did not buy this for my face initially, I have some areas on my body where I like to exfoliate and my skin reacts to AHA’s very well. This works great on my body, I’ve had no irritation and I‘ve seen improvement in texture/breakouts. I did try this on my face and I did not like it. It has an oily consistency and it just sat on my face really weird. It didn’t really sink into my face well at all. So I really only use this on my body now and honestly, it’s fine because that’s why I bought it in the first place.

5 Item Shopping List: Affordable Clean Beauty
I’m back! From a months long bout of writers block to talk about one of my favorite things, beauty, more specifically clean beauty and how to take part in it without taking out a small loan.
Pacifica Kind Tint Tinted Serum $14: This light coverage, skincare based, tinted serum is the perfect option for someone who wants the look and quality of brands like Saie and Glossier on a budget. With vegan collagen, hylaronic acid, vitamin C, caffeine, and niacinimide, skin looks visibly plumper and brighter only one use.
Note: While this product has a year long expiration date, in my experience, it lasted for about 3 months before the formula began to breakdown, however I used almost all of the product before the 3 month mark.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser $19: A soft powdery fragrance, with a soothing feel throught the entirety of the washing experience. Vegan and cruelty free with vitamin B5 and rose water, this cleanser is insanely soothing and hydrating while most importantly cleaning off dirt, grime, oil, and makeup effortlessly.
Note: While $19 may seem pricy for a cleanser, skincare is super important and is worth investing in.
Saltair Skincare Deodorant $10: We all know that we should be using a natural deodorant, ones without aluminum and other carcinogens. This $10 natural skincare deodorant uses BHA and Salicylic Acid to keep body odor at bay. This is one of the best smelling, easily accesible, actually working, affordable natural deodorants on the market right now, in my opinion.
Glossier Balm Dotcom $14: With 9 different colorways this nourishing lip balm moisturizes and heals dry cracked lips while looking beautiful at the same time.
Necessaire The Body Detox $15: A gorgeously detoxifying body bar that cleanses and restore the skin, follow up with The Body Wash for a luxe shower experience.

Review of I’m from’s Mugwort Gel Cleanser
I’m from is a Korean brand that has a strong focus on transparency and listing all of the ingredients they use in their products. Their Mugwort Gel Cleanser is designed to soothe skin while cleansing with a gentle lather. Key ingredients include 60% mugwort extract (calming, soothing to dry and irritated skin, anti-inflammatory, gentle, hydrating, sensitive skin-friendly), mugwort oil (gentle, hydrating, ideal for sensitive skin, anti-inflammatory, soothing), holy basil leaf extract (anti-acne, anti-aging, reduces pigmentation, soothing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial), turmeric root extract (improves complexion, adds radiance, anti-acne, anti-aging, reduces hyperpigmentation, moisturizing) and cocoa extract (antioxidant, anti-aging, improves circulation and hydration, anti-inflammatory, reduces redness). This cleanser retails for between $18-36 USD, you can get it here for $18 + shipping. Use code DANNIEL15 to save 15 percent.
Ingredients
Artemisia Princeps (Mugwort) Extract (60%), Water, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Lauryl Hydroxysultaine, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Chloride, Tromethamine, Hexadecene, Tetradecene, Sodium Sulfate, Artemisia Vulgaris (Mugwort) Oil, Melia Azadirachta (Chinaberry) Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta (Chinaberry) Flower Extract, Ocimum Sanctum (Holy Basil) Leaf Extract, Disodium EDTA, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Dextrin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Corallina Officinalis (Coral Weed) Extract
To quickly note, I received this for free from Wishtrend for my honest review.
Tumblr media
This cleanser contains 150 ml (5.07 oz) and has a pretty noticeable natural mugwort scent, it's quite astringent actually.
Tumblr media
The cleanser is a gel cleanser and the gel has kind of a thick consistency. It also has a natural greenish tinge. It spreads well but it doesn't really lather too much and it's best to apply to wet skin to get it to spread on the skin.
Tumblr media
Once it's rinsed off, it does leave a nice hydrated finish.
Recommended use is to create enough later with a sufficient amount of cleanser on your wet face and hands. Gently massage over your entire face and then rinse off with lukewarm water. The cleanser is cruelty-free, pH balanced, and free of artificial coloring, fragrances, and ethanol. It’s also vegan-friendly. After using, it's important to note, the natural mugwort fragrance is strong, I didn't notice any irritation but if you're sensitive at all to fragrance, though I actually do think this is a great option for sensitive skin, it is best to find a different product. The cleanser is extremely gentle and it does say it can remove sunscreen and makeup effectively. I found that I still needed to double cleanse, I'd suggest this to remove light makeup and non-water resistant sunscreen. It doesn't lather too much which I did find a little disconcerting, I love when I can get a good lather to really work into my skin. So that's really down to personal preference. There are some great ingredients in this cleanser and it leaves my skin looking and feeling more hydrated and evens out my complexion. If you've tried any other products from their mugwort line, you would definitely enjoy this. I'd recommend this to anyone, especially those with sensitive skin and dry skin.
What I like: this is a very gentle and sensitive skin-friendly cleanser. I didn't have any irritation and it left my skin more radiant, even, and hydrated. It contains only natural fragrance and no major irritants in the ingredient list. What I don't like: the mugwort scent is really strong.
Pros:
Hydrating
Non-drying
Evens skin tone
Toning
Gentle
Sensitive skin friendly
No artificial fragrance
Adds radiance
Cons:
Strong mugwort scent
Would I buy this?
Yes
Rating: 9/10

Character Intro: Paean (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Dr. Ambrosia by the others
The Needle by Apollo
Peanut by her husband
Age- 47 (immortal)
Location- Thessaly, Olympius
Personality- Intelligent, resourceful, & shrewd in the medical field- she's all about wellness and inner peace. When it comes to her job, she's all about efficiency & perfectionism. She truly loves what she does and she has a big heart. She's recently married.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess- except shapeshifting. Being the goddess of physicians she has a wide range of powers and abilities including vitakinesis (healing), summoning/controlling medical tools and equipment, being able to manipulate ambrosia, having an innate sense of a person's medical history, internal body cleansing, & vital scanning.
Even though her main location of operations is New Olympus, Paean resides with her new family (husband & step-children) at their estate in Thessaly. The great Mt. Pelion is in their backyard. She and her husband also experience the pleasure of having a suite apartment at the royal palace on Mt. Olympus.
She always starts off her days with an early morning jog followed by a relaxing bubble bath using antibacterial treated water.
Her favorite (and most meaningful) accessory is her wedding ring- an 18K gold band leading to an emerald cut green quartz with a diamond halo & accented sides. The ring was custom made.
A go-to drink for her is the special protein smoothie her husband often makes in the morning. The smoothie's made with frozen bananas, vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, almond butter, Greek yogurt, and a bit of coffee powder. She also likes water, aloe vera juice, coconut water, orange juice, & white wine. Her usual from The Roasted Bean is a large unsweetened peach-green tea.
Paean keeps up with a daily routine regarding a strict workout regimen that includes yoga, pilates, cardio, & weight training.
On the rare instances when she's running late, she'll stop by the local Bread Box where she'll get the smoked tempeh breakfast sandwich (on a multigrain bagel with extra vegan mayo).
Paean is married to the wise and well respected immortal centaur Chiron. They met at an annual Summer Solstice Ball & on their first date, they went mountain climbing!
The wedding was three months ago- an outdoor ceremony at the Arcadia Gardens. Chiron's daughters served as her bridesmaids while his son served as his best man. Paean was a beauty- her hair done as faux goddess locs and wearing a champagne colored off the shoulder satin gown which complimented her dark flawless ochre skin. Most of the gods were in attendance- even Geras (god of old age) was there as well as Chiron's ex-wife, Chariclo.
Before Chiron, Paean last romantic relationship was with Nosos (god of illness, plague, & disease); the eldest son of Nyx (goddess of the night). They only dated for a few weeks before she decided it was best to end things. For a while Paean continued to receive unwanted gifts from him, having ended up donating them to charity.
She's developed a good relationship with her husband's family, the transition from "dad's girlfriend" to "stepmother" being mostly seemless. Paean is cordial with their mother and thinks her husband's brother Dolops is an interesting figure. She has particularly gotten close with Ocyrhoe- even offering her a job as the receptionist at her medical office.
She's fluent in a few languages including Old Greek, Latin, & even Minoan (which is primarily spoken in Crete).
Instead of lotion, Paean uses almond oil on her face and body.
Her favorite guilty pleasure are extra crispy egg rolls with sweet chili dipping sauce!
Even before her husband, Paean has always been empathetic and supportive of centaurs in Olympius. She notices the pressure her husband is under being the "token centaur." She hates the whenever the media indirectly or directly perpetuates the notion of centaurs being violent barbaric savages.
Her main job/role and source of income is being the physician to the deities of the pantheon, her responsibilty being to maintain the general overall health of the gods & goddesses. Her medical office is located on the upper floors of the royal palace. It's said that her annual salary is half a million drachmas. Paean is also a licensed surgeon and dermatologist. For other work/income she writes for magazines like Hearthside & Vital Essence and she models/endorses Vita!, Momentum, CleanStream, Platinum Luminescence, Anthisméni Raptikí, Olive Visibly, Hairology (loves using the soap free shampoo bar), & Glory's Crown (her favorite product being the healthy hair oil blend).
Her favorite sweet treat is a soft serve cup filled with oatmilk ice cream topped with shaved coconut and chocolate sprinkles!
For her other personal business endeavors, Paean is currently in the process of developing a wellness television network. She has also recently debuted her brand of luxury satin bonnets- including one that has built in noise isolating bluetooth earphones built into the elastic headband.
In the pantheon she's friends with Gymnasia (goddess of excercise & gymnastics), Eudaimonia (goddess of happiness), Harpocrates (god of silence & discretion), Zeuxo (goddess of marriage), Demeter (goddess of the harvest & agriculture), Ogygia (one of The Nesoi), Nymphe (goddess of self-care), Epione (goddess of soothing pain), Pathos (god of emotion), Soteria (goddess of safety), Hesperis (goddess of the evening & sunset), Aegle (goddess of good health), Hesychia (goddess of quiet, stillness, & rest), Karme (demi-goddess of the harvest), Livádi (goddess of meadows), Hestia (goddess of the hearth), Nárkosi (goddess of sedation), Kópros (god of manure & excrement), Pan (god of the wild, satyrs, shepherds, & rustic music), and Alectrona (goddess of the sun & morning).
Paean also feels a sisterhood towards Chrysanta (goddess of metal) since they're both in "interracial" marriages.
Her relationship with her former close friend/work partner Asclepius (god of medicine) is non existant since his punishment took effect. He pretty much stopped all contact despite Paean's attempts to reach out.
She greatly admires and respects Gaia (goddess of the earth) in addition to being a spokesperson for her Earthly Harvest food brand.
Paean was the official mentor towards Panacea (goddess of universal remedy).
For her birthday she recieved Diamond Ave. jeweled clutches from her step-daughters Melanippe and Endeïs- one in the shape of an avacado & one in the shape of an orange.
In addition to having a Fatestagram profile Paean also has a PanopTube channel with almost a million subscribers. She mostly posts videos on fitness, workouts, & healthy recipes.
Some of her favorite meals include tabbouleh salad, tofu & vegetable curry with zucchini noodles, dolmas with roasted cauliflower rice, vegan moussaka, broccoli-cashew cream soup, green curry salmon with coconut rice, and grilled lime jerk wings.
In her free time when she's not working out Paean enjoys spending time with her family, going on outdoor dates with her husband, swimming, acupuncture, pottery, tai chi, bike riding, gardening, kayaking, archery, basketball, football (soccer), fishing, tennis, & cloud surfing.
"Being healthy is often a forgotten success."

How to Choose the Best Natural Skin Care Products
If you want to improve your skin's health and radiance, you should look into natural skin care products. These are safe, effective and kind to the animals.
Using a high-performance cleanser can help you remove dead skin cells and make your skin more beautiful. It contains organic ingredients and it can be used for both facial and body cleansing. This formula is suitable for all types of skin, even if you have dry, sensitive, or acne-prone skin.
If you have a dull complexion, a moisturizing spray with antioxidants can give you healthy, glowing skin. The odorless and non-greasy formula is perfect for everyday use and can be applied to your face, eyes and lips. You can also use it as a makeup setter or moisturizer.
Your skin is unique and a good natural skin care product should be designed to meet your needs. For example, if you have sensitive skin, you may need to conduct an at-home patch test before using the product. Another reason you should not apply products containing synthetic chemicals is that they can cause hormonal imbalances.
Natural skin care products include plant-based oils and extracts. They can be used on all skin types, and the ingredients are all vegan and cruelty-free.
Sunflower oil is a mild plant oil that contains essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants. It can be used to treat various skin disorders and has been used in skincare remedies since the Egyptians.
Coconut oil is another popular moisturizer that has several benefits for your skin. It can protect you from the environment, promote collagen synthesis, and help balance the natural oils of your skin. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Rosehip oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, C, E, and K. It has anti-inflammatory properties, as well as anti-carcinogenic and anti-aging benefits.
Sea buckthorn oil is another effective oil that can help fight wrinkles and reduce the negative effects of eczema and acne. It can also help heal wounds, reducing the risk of infection.
Aloe vera has been used by ancient Greeks and Egyptians for its soothing and healing properties. Depending on the formulation, it can be very potent. But, if you suffer from allergies, be sure to read the ingredient list.
Having a healthy diet and maintaining a natural skin care routine is the best way to maintain healthy, glowing skin. Choosing a cleanser, moisturizer, and exfoliator that works with your specific needs will help you feel more confident.
If you are just starting out with natural skin care, the first step is to choose a high-performance cleanser. You can add an exfoliating scrub or serum to your routine if you like. However, you should start with a cleanser and use moisturizer as your main skin care regimen. Once you are comfortable with this method, you can expand to a weekly facial. To find the right skin care for your needs, look for a formula that is affordable and contains pure, clean ingredients.

Best Vegan Loofah for Body Care & Best Loofah for Acne-Prone Skin: Your Guide to Gentle and Effective Skincare
Tumblr media
When it comes to body care, finding the right products is crucial, especially for those with specific skin concerns like acne. Loofahs are an excellent tool for exfoliating the skin, but not all are created equal. This blog post will discuss the best vegan loofah options for body care, focusing on their suitability for acne-prone skin. We will highlight EGEXO as a sustainable and affordable provider of high-quality loofahs that cater to these needs.
Understanding the Benefits of Vegan Loofahs
Vegan loofahs offer several advantages over traditional loofahs made from animal products. Here are some key benefits:
1. Cruelty-Free
Vegan loofahs are made from plant-based materials, ensuring no animals were harmed in their production. This ethical approach aligns with the values of many consumers who prioritize cruelty-free products in their beauty routines.
2. Sustainability
Vegan loofahs, especially those made from natural fibers like the loofah plant, are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Using plant-based materials reduces plastic waste and encourages sustainable practices.
3. Hypoallergenic Properties
Many vegan loofahs are free from synthetic chemicals, making them a safe option for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Their natural composition reduces the risk of irritation, allowing for gentle exfoliation without harmful additives.
4. Gentle Exfoliation
Vegan loofahs provide effective yet gentle exfoliation, making them suitable for individuals with delicate skin. They help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores, promoting healthier skin.
Why Choose Loofahs for Acne-Prone Skin?
Loofahs can be an excellent addition to your skincare routine, especially if you struggle with acne. Here’s why:
1. Deep Cleansing
Loofahs help cleanse the skin by removing dirt, oil, and dead skin cells that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Regular use can promote clearer, healthier skin.
2. Exfoliation
Exfoliating with a loofah helps slough away dead skin cells, preventing them from accumulating and contributing to acne. This process encourages cell turnover, which can lead to a more radiant complexion.
3. Improved Circulation
Using a loofah promotes blood circulation in the skin, which can enhance the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to skin cells. This improved circulation can aid in the healing of acne-prone skin.
4. Increased Product Absorption
Exfoliating with a loofah allows your skincare products to penetrate the skin better, maximizing their effectiveness. This is particularly beneficial for treatments designed to combat acne.

How to Use a Vegan Loofah for Acne-Prone Skin
Using a vegan loofah effectively is crucial for maximizing its benefits for acne-prone skin. Follow these steps for the best results:
1. Start with a Clean Slate
Begin by cleansing your skin with a gentle body wash. This initial step helps remove surface dirt and oil, preparing your skin for exfoliation.
2. Wet the Loofah
Before use, wet your vegan loofah in warm water. This softens the fibers and makes the exfoliation process gentler on your skin.
3. Apply Your Favorite Cleanser
Apply a small amount of your favorite body wash or cleanser to the loofah. Ensure it’s a product that suits your skin type, especially if you have acne-prone skin.
4. Gently Exfoliate
Using circular motions, gently massage the loofah over your skin, focusing on areas prone to breakouts. Avoid applying too much pressure, as this can irritate the skin.
5. Rinse Thoroughly
After exfoliating, rinse your body thoroughly to remove any product residue. This step is essential to prevent clogged pores.
6. Moisturize After Use
Apply a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer to your skin after exfoliating. This step helps lock in moisture and keeps your skin hydrated without clogging pores.
7. Clean Your Loofah
After each use, rinse your loofah thoroughly and hang it to dry in a well-ventilated area. Proper care ensures your loofah remains hygienic and lasts longer.
