Beats Studio Pro Review: Rich Sound and Apple Integration
The Beats Studio Pro has officially made its mark in the world of premium headphones, offering an impressive combination of rich audio performance, sleek design, and seamless integration with Apple devices. As the latest iteration in Beats' popular Studio line, the Beats Studio Pro promises to elevate your listening experience while complementing the Apple ecosystem. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the features, performance, and overall value of these stylish headphones.
Design and Comfort: Sleek and Comfortable for Long Listening Sessions
When it comes to design, the Beats Studio Pro doesn't disappoint. The headphones boast a modern, minimalistic aesthetic that aligns well with the premium look and feel of Apple products. The matte finish, available in several chic color options, exudes sophistication. The earcups are plush, providing comfort for hours of listening without causing discomfort, even during extended use.
The headband is adjustable and sturdy, ensuring a secure fit without being too tight. Whether you're using them for casual listening or intense workouts, the Beats Studio Pro is comfortable enough to wear all day. Plus, the headphones are surprisingly lightweight, which adds to their overall wearability.
Sound Quality: Rich, Balanced, and Immersive Audio
Beats has always been known for delivering powerful bass, and the Studio Pro is no exception. However, this model takes it a step further by offering a more balanced sound profile that enhances the listening experience across genres. The deep, punchy bass is still present but doesn't overwhelm the mids or highs, ensuring that every track sounds rich and detailed.
Whether you're listening to bass-heavy music, podcasts, or audiobooks, the Beats Studio Pro delivers clear, immersive audio. The over-ear design helps with sound isolation, providing a more focused listening experience by blocking out ambient noise. The overall soundstage is wide and dynamic, making it ideal for both casual listeners and audiophiles who appreciate high-quality audio.
Seamless Apple Integration: The Perfect Companion for Your Apple Devices
One of the standout features of the Beats Studio Pro is its seamless integration with Apple products. Featuring the Apple H1 chip, these headphones work effortlessly with iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other Apple devices. The pairing process is incredibly simple—just turn on the headphones, and they’ll automatically connect to your Apple devices. If you're within the Apple ecosystem, the Beats Studio Pro is a perfect fit.
The H1 chip also enables features like “Hey Siri” voice activation, providing hands-free control of your music and settings. Additionally, the headphones support iCloud syncing, allowing you to easily switch between devices without any hassle. Whether you're listening to music on your MacBook or taking calls on your iPhone, the Beats Studio Pro ensures a smooth transition between devices.
Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode: Control Your Environment
The Beats Studio Pro features Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a must-have feature for anyone looking to block out external distractions. With the press of a button, you can immerse yourself fully in your music, whether you're on a plane, in a busy café, or at home. The ANC effectively filters out low-frequency noise, providing a more peaceful listening experience.
On the flip side, the Transparency Mode allows you to hear your surroundings when needed. This feature is perfect for situations where you need to stay aware of what's happening around you, such as when you're walking on a busy street or in a work environment. The transition between ANC and Transparency Mode is seamless, giving you complete control over your auditory environment.
Battery Life: All-Day Listening
The Beats Studio Pro offers impressive battery life, providing up to 22 hours of continuous listening with ANC and Transparency Mode activated. If you're in a pinch, just 10 minutes of charging via the included USB-C cable will give you up to 3 hours of playback time. This is a significant improvement over previous models, making the Beats Studio Pro ideal for travel or long commutes.
Final Verdict: The Ideal Choice for Apple Users
The Beats Studio Pro is a solid choice for anyone looking for premium headphones that offer great sound quality, sleek design, and a flawless integration with Apple devices. While the bass-heavy sound that Beats is known for remains, the Studio Pro strikes a better balance across the audio spectrum, appealing to a wider audience. With features like Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and an excellent battery life, the Beats Studio Pro provides everything you need for an immersive audio experience.
For Apple users, these headphones are the ultimate companion, offering unmatched convenience and compatibility with iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Whether you're a casual listener or an audiophile, the Beats Studio Pro is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their listening experience.

ok so update next day, since this is already a review i might as well go on
maybe they're not as bad? Like still 100% not worth the price, they should cost 50€ at most (though that's probably still too much tbf), but positives i have noticed by now is that they are very lightweight and pretty comfortable, but that is personal preference and depending on ear shape, so probably not that much of a plus.
They hold up great for me tho, don't fall out at all so das cool. And now that I've figuted out noise cancelling its... fine i guess? Definitely cant hear anyone talking while playing music. I can sometimes hear a quiet very high pitched whirring sound or a swooshing sound when there's no music playing but that might be because they're already used idfk
The transparency mode however sucks ass. Either its really loud white noise, or you cant hear anything on one earbud while the other one is in transparency mode and its just,, super uncomfortable. sometimes it works okay but most of the time it just hurts in your ears. also its way quicker to just take one headphone out than to activate that damn transparency mode
found airpods pro under the mattress of my bed in the hostel room we've been staying at for over a week and no one in my room nor anyone else has claimed them. Initially wanted to turn them in at the front desk but me teachers said i should just keep them so i guess they're mine now.
I do have insanely funny ideas what to name them now, either as device name or with a sticky note on the case and
#is anyone even reading this?#idfk its fun to write tho#dont know how good noise cancelling is irl tho#on the streets it might get you killed if you cant hear shit#and i havent figured out yet if you can turn off both ANC and transparency mode#so that you have only regular headphones#because that would probably be the best option ngl#at this price point youd just expect something to work perfectly as intended/promised#but these just dont#in no point#none of the features actually keep their promise

how do u listen to music on your sony walkman? do you burn music from your laptop on it? download music from a website? or if it’s not music what do u listen to and how do you upload it?
hi, thank you for asking - my music ecosystem is very dear to me. here’s how it works!
i use two DAPs (digital audio players), a sony nw-a55 in the colorway “twilight red” and a 4th generation ipod classic. for headphones i love marshall, the ones i have are the marshall mid anc.
in the ipod I have mp3 files of music converted from youtube on my macbook, which you can simply drag and drop onto itunes while the ipod is connected to your laptop. no sd card needed. you can also get mp3s from software that “records” spotify music, or you can go old school and burn cds. reddit can be helpful to find those programs and some are free and some are not. the ipod is my walking audio library, a physical archive of my music taste. it does not have visuals or the best battery life, but i am still happy to have it.
in the sony I have flacs, very high resolution files of the music i love the most. i purchase the music in it from qobuz, which is a website that will send you the files by email. once i save them i simply connect the sony’s sd card to my laptop and drag and drop in it the music. then the sd card goes back into the sony. the sony has a responsive and vibrant touch screen and a truly amazing battery life. i use it with the wired extension that came with my marshall headphones.
music is beautiful and it brings me joy, so i don’t feel at ease getting it illegally. i want to support artists and appreciate music as an art, but that can be expensive. the way i compromise and sleep at night is that i dedicate the ipod to archiving with lower quality mp3s i get wherever, and the sony to curating a collection of hi res bought albums which i pick mindfully. hopefully one day when i can do so sustainably, i will fully switch to legal hi res music. for now, this will do.
i use my DAPs for music, and lately i tend to listen album by album and in their intended order rather than by artist or at random. i do want to try to use them for audiobooks of my favorite books or for ones in foreign languages. you can also transfer podcast episodes in them! the world of digital audio players is wide. you can enter it from many doors, you just have to choose the one fit for you.
that’s all! when i decided to use my phone as little as possible and i started to read and think about digital minimalism both as a philosophy and a practice, i realized that an audio player is a way for me to do what i love (listen to music) without the chance of getting distracted or tempted by other apps, messages and so on. they allow me to be fully present with music. digital minimalism is not about having less, because my bag is slightly heavier now and my pockets fuller when I leave the house with an audio player. digital minimalism is about being present and mindful, having less distractions on our minds and being more in touch with reality.
this was longer than i planned to, hopefully some of it was useful!

7 III 2023
it's the second week of the semester and I must say that it's easier than I predicted
statistical data analysis is boring but easy, algebra 2 is easy but probably interesting, so is differential geometry
algebraic topology was funny because ⅓ of the group completed the algebraic methods course, so at first we told the professor to skip half of the lecture (we all know the required part of category theory) and then with every new piece of information he would say "ok maybe this will be the first thing today that you don't know", to which we would reply "naaah we've seen this" lmao. but the course overall will be fun and maybe it's even better that the level of difficulty won't be as high as I though, that would leave more time for my other stuff
the tutorial part of number theory was scary, because the professor wanted us to work in pairs. my autistic ass hates working in groups and the noise in the room was unbearable (everyone was talking about the exercises we were given to solve), so I was on the verge of a meltdown after 30 minutes of this despite ANC headphones. next time I will work by myself from the start. maybe without the requirement of communication it won't be as bad. the course itself will be easy, when it comes to the material. I know nothing about number theory, so the novelty will make it more enjoyable. a few people said that they would prefer the tutorial in the standard form, maybe I won't have to worry about surviving it if there are enough people who want to change it
my birthday is tomorrow and as a gift my parents gave me enough money to buy an ipad, I was saving for it since november. for a few days now I've been testing different apps for note taking, pdf readers and other tools useful for studying. I must say, this is a game changer, I absolutely love it
taking notes itself is less comfortable than on an e-ink tablet, which gives very paperlike experience, but it's better than traditional ones. the upside is that I can use different colors and the whole process is less rigid than on an e-ink
two apps that seem the best for now are MarginNote 3 and GoodNotes
the first one is good for studying something from multiple sources. the app allows to open many pdfs, take pieces from them and then arrange them in a mindmap. it's possible to add handwritten notes, typed notes, photos and probably more that I don't know yet. all of this seems to be particularly useful when studying for exams or in other situations when it's necessary to review a huge chunk of material
the second app is for regular handwritten notes. it doesn't have any special advantages other than I just like the interface lol what I like about taking notes on ipad is that I can take photos and insert them directly into the notebook, which I can't do on the e-ink. it's great for lectures and classes because I don't usually write everything down (otherwise I can't listen, too busy with writing) and even if I do, I don't trust myself with it so I take photos anyway. being able to merge the photos with notes reduces chaos
oh god this is going to be a long post! other news from life is that yesterday I had a meeting with my thesis advisor and we finally picked a topic. some time ago he sent me a paper to try and said, very mysteriously, to let him know if it's not too hard before he reveals more details about his idea. the paper is about symmetric bilinear forms on finite abelian groups, pure algebra, and I was supposed to write about algebraic topology, so I tried to search where this topics comes up, but didn't find anything. it turns out that it's used to define some knot invariant, which I would use to write about the classification of singularities of algebraic curves. in the meantime my advisor had another idea, which is an open problem in knot theory. we decided to try the second one, because there is less theory to learn before I could start writing the paper
to summarize what I'm about to do: there is a knot invariant called Jones polynomial, which then inspires a construction of a certain R-module on tangles and the question asks whether that module is free, if so, what is its rank. now I'm reading the book he gave me to learn the basics and I can't wait till I start working on the problem

Tomorrow I'll wear my headphones during school's breaks. Of course it's going to be a bit uncomfortable, because they have a wire that isn't detachable and they don't even have ANC, because they're OLD, but they're over-ear headphones, so they're able to make the sounds just a little more quieter (and I'm always overstimulated and stressed inside school, so...).
I still need to buy good over-ear wireless headphones with ANC which will not be so expensive, but I'll need to do a little research to buy the best ones for me first and until I buy them, I can (and should) use some kind of replacement.
