Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy Yoga: A Safe and Beneficial Practice for Expecting Mothers
Pregnancy is an exciting but challenging time for many women, as the body undergoes numerous changes to support the growing baby. During this period, it’s important to focus on both physical and emotional health. One excellent way to do this is through Pregnancy Yoga, also known as Prenatal Yoga. This type of yoga is designed specifically for pregnant women to help improve strength, flexibility, and overall well-being while preparing the body for labor and delivery. In this article, we will explore the benefits of pregnancy yoga, how to find Pregnancy Yoga Classes, and how to practice yoga safely during pregnancy.
Tumblr media
What is Pregnancy Yoga?
Pregnancy Yoga refers to a modified form of traditional yoga that is tailored to meet the needs of expecting mothers. Unlike regular yoga, which can sometimes involve intense poses or movements that may not be safe for pregnant women, pregnancy yoga focuses on gentle stretching, breathing techniques, and strengthening exercises that are safe and effective during pregnancy.
In Pregnancy Yoga Classes, instructors lead women through a series of poses that are specifically designed to support the changes happening in the body. These classes not only help to reduce physical discomfort but also offer mental relaxation, which is equally important during pregnancy. It is important to attend classes that are taught by certified instructors who are trained in prenatal yoga to ensure safety.
Benefits of Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy Yoga offers numerous physical, emotional, and mental benefits, making it an excellent choice for expecting mothers. Some of the main benefits include:
1. Improved Flexibility and Strength
As the pregnancy progresses, your body may become stiff, and muscles may feel tight, especially in areas like the lower back, hips, and legs. Yoga for pregnant women focuses on gentle stretching and strengthening exercises that help improve flexibility. This can alleviate common pregnancy-related pains, such as backaches, sciatica, and muscle tension. Strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor, core, and legs is also important for supporting the growing baby and preparing for labor.
2. Reduced Stress and Anxiety
Pregnancy can be a stressful time, as many women experience anxiety about the upcoming birth and other life changes. One of the key aspects of Prenatal Yoga is breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques, which help calm the mind and reduce stress. These techniques teach women how to relax and stay focused, which can help manage anxiety and promote mental well-being throughout pregnancy.
3. Better Circulation and Reduced Swelling
Pregnancy often causes fluid retention, leading to swelling in the feet, ankles, and hands. Pregnancy Yoga helps improve circulation and reduce swelling by encouraging gentle movement. Certain poses help stimulate blood flow, which can prevent the discomfort caused by poor circulation and swelling. Regular yoga practice can also help boost energy levels and prevent fatigue.
4. Preparation for Labor
Prenatal yoga helps prepare the body for childbirth by improving flexibility, strength, and stamina. Many of the poses and breathing exercises focus on areas that will be used during labor, such as the hips, pelvis, and lower back. In addition, deep breathing techniques learned in Pregnancy Yoga can help during labor by providing pain relief and keeping you calm and focused.
5. Better Sleep
Many pregnant women struggle with sleep as they deal with physical discomfort, such as back pain or restless legs. Pregnancy yoga helps promote relaxation and reduce discomfort, which can lead to improved sleep quality. Regular yoga practice can also help establish a calming bedtime routine, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.
Finding Safe Pregnancy Yoga Classes
When looking for Pregnancy Yoga Classes, it’s important to find one that is taught by a certified prenatal yoga instructor. These instructors are specifically trained to guide pregnant women safely through yoga poses and modifications. They know which poses are safe and effective for each stage of pregnancy, and they can offer alternatives if a particular pose is uncomfortable or not recommended.
Many local gyms, wellness centers, and yoga studios offer prenatal yoga classes, but it’s also possible to find virtual or online classes if attending in person isn’t feasible. Make sure to check the instructor’s qualifications and experience, as it’s essential to practice under the guidance of someone who understands the specific needs of pregnant women.
Safe Yoga Practices During Pregnancy
While Pregnancy Yoga is generally safe for most women, there are some important guidelines to follow to ensure you practice safely:
Consult Your Doctor Before starting any exercise routine, it’s important to consult your healthcare provider to make sure that yoga is safe for you, especially if you have any health conditions or complications during pregnancy.
Avoid Overstretching Pregnancy hormones, such as relaxin, cause the ligaments in the body to loosen, which can make you more flexible than usual. While this may seem like a benefit, it’s important to avoid overstretching, as it can increase the risk of injury.
Listen to Your Body It’s essential to listen to your body during yoga. If a pose feels uncomfortable or causes pain, stop and modify the posture or take a break. Yoga should never feel like a strain.
Modify Poses Some yoga poses are not safe during pregnancy, especially those that involve lying flat on your back or twisting the abdomen. Your instructor will guide you through safe modifications to avoid putting pressure on your growing belly.
Stay Hydrated Always drink plenty of water before, during, and after your yoga practice to stay hydrated. This is especially important as your body works harder during pregnancy.
Conclusion
Pregnancy Yoga is a wonderful way for expecting mothers to stay active, reduce stress, and prepare their bodies for labor. Whether you attend Pregnancy Yoga Classes or practice on your own, the benefits are clear: improved strength, better circulation, reduced anxiety, and preparation for childbirth. By practicing safely and listening to your body, Yoga for Pregnant Women can be a valuable and enjoyable part of your pregnancy journey. If you're expecting, consider making Prenatal Yoga a part of your routine and experience the positive effects it can have on both you and your baby.

The Benefits of Pregnancy Yoga
The benefits of pregnancy yoga extend beyond the physical. Incorporating yoga into your pregnancy routine can help manage both the physical discomforts and emotional ups and downs that often accompany pregnancy.
Improved Flexibility: As your body changes during pregnancy, maintaining flexibility becomes essential for reducing stiffness and improving mobility. Prenatal Yoga offers gentle stretches that focus on the hips, back, and legs, areas that often become tight during pregnancy.
Strength and Endurance: Certain yoga poses help strengthen the muscles needed to support your growing baby and prepare for labor. Yoga can strengthen the pelvic floor, back, and legs, which are essential for supporting the additional weight and maintaining balance as your body changes.
Relief from Discomfort: Pregnancy often brings discomforts such as lower back pain, hip tension, and swollen legs. Safe yoga during pregnancy can help alleviate these symptoms through gentle movement and targeted stretches that provide relief.
Better Breathing and Relaxation: The breathing techniques practiced in pregnancy yoga classes are beneficial during labor, as they teach you to stay calm, focused, and present. Controlled breathing also promotes better oxygen flow to your baby, improving overall well-being.
Enhanced Emotional Well-being: Pregnancy can be an emotionally intense experience. Yoga offers a way to calm your mind, reduce stress, and connect more deeply with your body and your baby. The mindfulness aspect of yoga for pregnant women can help reduce anxiety and create a sense of peace and empowerment.
Preparation for Labor: Many poses and breathing techniques in prenatal yoga are designed to prepare the body and mind for childbirth. The focus on pelvic floor strength, breath control, and relaxation techniques makes pregnancy yoga an excellent way to prepare for labor and delivery.
Safety Tips for Practicing Yoga During Pregnancy
While yoga is generally considered safe during pregnancy, it’s essential to take precautions to protect yourself and your baby. Here are a few tips to ensure a safe practice:
Listen to your body: Never push yourself into discomfort. Gentle, mindful movements are key.
Modify poses: Use props like blocks or blankets to modify poses, especially as your pregnancy progresses.
Avoid lying on your back: After the first trimester, avoid poses that require lying on your back for extended periods, as this can restrict blood flow.
Consult your doctor: Before beginning any new exercise regimen, it’s important to consult your healthcare provider to ensure that pregnancy yoga is right for you.
Conclusion
Pregnancy Yoga offers a holistic approach to health and wellness during this special time in your life. From improving flexibility and strength to promoting relaxation and emotional well-being, prenatal yoga can help you feel empowered and prepared for the challenges of pregnancy and childbirth. By joining pregnancy yoga classes, you can ensure a safe and supportive practice, nurturing both your body and mind throughout your pregnancy journey.

The Benefits of Hatha Yoga During Pregnancy
Pregnancy yoga, especially in the form of Hatha Yoga, has numerous benefits that promote both maternal health and well-being. Let’s explore how incorporating Beginner Hatha Yoga into your pregnancy can positively impact you and your growing baby.
Tumblr media
1. Improves Flexibility and Strength
As your body changes during pregnancy, muscles and joints face new demands. Hatha Yoga for flexibility can gently stretch and strengthen your muscles, helping you adapt to your growing belly and shifting center of gravity. Postures such as cat-cow and warrior poses open the hips and lower back, areas that often become tight and strained during pregnancy. These stretches also prepare the body for childbirth by enhancing pelvic flexibility.
Pregnancy can be physically demanding, especially in the later stages. Practicing yoga regularly builds endurance and strength, particularly in the legs and core, which are essential for carrying the extra weight. The controlled movements in Beginner Hatha Yoga classes help you engage key muscles, making everyday movements easier and less painful.
2. Reduces Pregnancy Discomforts
Many common discomforts during pregnancy, such as back pain, swollen feet, and difficulty sleeping, can be alleviated with regular yoga practice. Hatha Yoga classes focus on alignment and balance, which helps ease the strain on muscles and joints. The postures are designed to improve circulation, reduce swelling, and promote relaxation.
Prenatal yoga also emphasizes breathwork, which can be especially helpful for managing pregnancy-related stress and anxiety. Deep breathing helps calm the nervous system, reducing tension and promoting better sleep. Learning to control your breath through yoga not only benefits you during pregnancy but can also be a powerful tool during labor.
3. Prepares You for Childbirth
One of the key Hatha Yoga benefits during pregnancy is that it prepares you mentally and physically for childbirth. Yoga strengthens the muscles that will be used during labor and delivery, particularly the pelvic floor, which is crucial for a smooth birthing process.
In addition to the physical preparation, the mindful breathing techniques practiced in Hatha Yoga are invaluable during labor. These techniques help you stay calm and focused during contractions, promoting a more relaxed and less stressful birthing experience. Many women find that the breath control they learn in yoga helps them manage pain and stay present during labor.
4. Enhances Emotional Well-being
Pregnancy can be an emotional rollercoaster, and yoga provides a safe space to nurture both the body and mind. The meditative aspects of Hatha Yoga encourage mindfulness, helping expectant mothers stay present and connected to their growing baby. Through yoga, you learn to tune into your body’s needs, promoting self-care and compassion.
Regular practice reduces anxiety and promotes emotional balance, helping to mitigate mood swings that are often experienced during pregnancy. Taking time to focus on yourself and your baby through yoga can also strengthen the emotional bond between mother and child.
5. Encourages Social Connection
Joining a prenatal Hatha Yoga class provides an opportunity to connect with other expectant mothers. These classes foster a sense of community, offering support and encouragement during a unique and often challenging time. Being part of a group of women who are experiencing similar changes can be both reassuring and empowering.
Is Hatha Yoga Safe for Pregnancy?
Yes, Hatha Yoga is generally safe during pregnancy, especially when practiced under the guidance of a qualified instructor. However, it is important to inform your instructor about your pregnancy and any specific concerns you may have. Instructors can modify poses to suit your body’s needs and ensure that you practice safely throughout your pregnancy. Some poses may need to be avoided in later trimesters, such as deep twists or poses that require lying flat on your back.
Conclusion
Hatha Yoga is an ideal form of prenatal exercise that nurtures both body and mind. Whether you're looking to improve flexibility, reduce discomfort, or prepare for childbirth, pregnancy yoga offers a holistic approach to well-being during this transformative time. With its focus on breath, gentle movements, and mental clarity, Beginner Hatha Yoga provides a safe and effective way to stay healthy and connected to your baby. If you're an expecting mother, consider joining a prenatal Hatha Yoga class to experience the numerous benefits it offers for you and your growing family.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid that plays a crucial role in the development of the baby's brain and eyes during pregnancy. It is particularly important during the third trimester of pregnancy when the baby's brain is undergoing rapid growth. While DHA is naturally found in fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines, some prenatal vitamins also include DHA to ensure that pregnant women are getting an adequate supply of this essential nutrient.

Who's awake at 4 am? Jungkook. he'd not gotten any sleep. He was up the whole night but managed to doze off a few times before he woke up to do his yoga. he'd woken up earlier for another reason, and that was to prepare breakfast for you before he left for work.
he didn't plan on making a toast or some ham and egg. Instead, he decided to go with a light meal, something easy and healthy to start your day off with. 'Doenjang Guk,' a soya bean paste soup. It's easy to cook and has marvellous health benefits. Besides, he was in a mood for soup anyway.
Jungkook took his time with the vegetables and the meat, which he cooked well, taking no risk with undercooked meat for you. He was satisfied with it, anyone could tell by his face. the scrunched, angry face that he makes when he enjoys the taste of food. he packed it with heat warmers so it didn't lose its warmth by the time he took it to your place, and then he took a shower and dressed up for work.
he planned to send the food over to yours by his driver then realized that it wouldn't be safe and he wanted to see you anyway, just in case...
Jungkook decided to drive himself to work today. He's planning on doing this until you're back at his place, so he won't have to travel back and forth to get your meals. It's almost 7 a.m., and he's standing in front of your door, waiting for you to answer the doorbell. 'Oh, she's fast asleep, I'm disturbing her.' One ring....then comes another...
but he's not answered. In one mind, he feels terrible that he's disturbing your sleep, and the other mind says that he should be concerned. but when he hears the keys clang, he's relieved after he meets your puffy face and dishevelled hair. your eyes are barely left open, you stand in front of him with a long shirt that covers your knees and half the buttons undone, revealing the top of your growing bump.
"What?" You ask him almost instantly, like he's a random sanitation worker who's here to collect last week's garbage. He wants to laugh at how awfully you communicate in the mornings. That being said, you're way too grumpy.
"breakfast? remember?" You rubbed your eyes, and they opened slightly, and then you nodded. "You didn't have to, but thanks."
"You are very ungrateful." "I'm just sleepy." You instantly answer, even when you're half awake, you've still got that never-back-down attitude. he hands over the little bag to you, that's got your freshly handmade soup that he'd done just for you as well as some cooked rice and kimchi if you felt like having it as a side dish.
"There's some soup, so warm it before you have it." He advises you, and you quickly nod while letting out a yawn, leaning on the door frame and leaving out breathes. he watches you while your eyes are closed. It's funny how you're his total opposite.
His type is someone who would wake him up at 4 am for yoga, and then there's you. That's exactly why he can never think of you for anything more. "Hey, don't sleep here, panda. get inside." "mmhmm."
you hum and try to turn around but slowly lose balance. 'Oh my god, this woman.' he thinks. The truth is, you spent the whole damn night watching tv and having snacks. you waited until he left the building, you put on the movie 'Damsel'
and if that was not enough, you even watched a couple of the movies that were newly released while munching on your craving, pizza-flavoured Pringles. you fell asleep at 4:45, so you're bound to be feeling drowsy at 7 am. "careful-" he hissed when you lost balance.
"I'm alright." You put your hands higher to let him know that it was nothing. "I'll bring you lunch. Let me know if you want anything in particular. Drop a text or- call? anything." "Sure, sure. good night." you close the door and waddle back to your room after placing the warm soup on your marble kitchen counter.
Jungkook chuckled and took the elevator to drive back to the office. He's gonna have a hard time concentrating at work after seeing you looking absolutely hilarious this morning.
-
The heating pad had kept the soup warm enough for it to savour the taste. You sat down on the couch and turned on the television, choosing a Netflix show while you had your late breakfast. one mouthful of the soup allowed hums to leave out of your lips, so you closed your eyes and leaned back on the sofa.
"Can the day get any better than this soup?" you ask yourself and continue to gulp down the liquid, occasionally pairing some kimchi with it but you've totally forgotten about the damn show that's been played because all your focus is solely on the broth.
you cleaned the dishes and took down a mental note to yourself to thank Mr Jeon Jungkook for this heavenly food because yes, this is a zillion times better than the convenience store and has surely made your child active too, cause you can feel yourself being super hype right now. The baby has a month left until it starts
its own karate show with all that kicking and movements that you'll be able to feel. Right now, it's not very evident although you feel something. When you got back to the show, you received a text message from the one and only Jungkook.
[ From Jungkook ] Are you awake? Did you have the soup?
[ y/n ] Good afternoon, Mr Jeon, I did have it just now, so there's no need for lunch, please.
[ From Jungkook ] You shouldn't have breakfast this late. You missed your pills, too, i'm sure.
welps, you did forget to have it.
[ y/n ] Ooops-
[ From Jungkook ] i'll just get an early dinner for you then, What would you like to have? Anythng in particular?
you're completely full, and the food is at the brim of your body, so no, you can't even think about food.
[ y/n ] anything you like is fine, thanks.
-
it's almost 6 pm, and Jungkook can't stop looking at the clock while he's at the meeting. the meeting held today is very important, in fact, it's gonna be brilliant for the reputation and sales of Jeon Industries but somehow the CEO himself has not quite paid attention to whatever that the investors and staff had been discussing, instead, he's busy counting the seconds to 6;10pm so when the clock strikes it, he can leave.
"What's your opinion on this, Mr. Jeon?" Jungkook abruptly turns and sighs, watching his fingers twitch it at the sudden question. "uh- I think it's perfect. we should get started on this." "Started on what?" Jungkook licked his lips, reconsidering what the damn question was again. 'Wasn't my opinion asked on starting this project?'
"uh- the project?" "Mr. Jeon, we were discussing the timing for our next meeting held this Friday. The project should be finalized there." fuck- "Ohh, right, absolutely, Mr. Won! The timing is perfect. What was it again?" "8pm?"Yes, 8 is great. all sorted? thanks for your time, Mr Won. I shall see you on Friday."
Jungkook rose from his seat and walked out of the room, leaving everyone in confusion. "shit- I need to leave." he told himself. "Mr. Jung, I've got somewhere to be. Check my files and email me the rest of it that has to be signed for tomorrow." "Sure, Mr Jeon.''
He grabbed his office bag and took the elevator to get to the ground floor. He knows exactly what he's gonna get for dinner, and you're gonna love it. He can't wait for it. "Hello? is my order ready?" "Yes, Mr Jeon." "I'm on my way." he drove to the restaurant, picked up his packaged food, paid for it, and was set to drive to yours.
it's been in Jungkook's mind throughout last night, so he's very much excited about this. He'd hoped you didn't have a specific food in mind so he could get this, and it worked. You actually didn't want to have anything in specific that was in his favour. There now he stands in front of the door, ringing the doorbell, waiting for you to answer the door.
"Who is it?" You ask and try to check from the little peephole, but it is black. so you opened the door and poked your head outside and then sighed in relief. "Why did you cover the hole?" "Can't i?" "You don't do that." You let him walk inside, and he did, placing the plastic bags of food on the coffee table in front of the blush pink couch that you own. "Well, what are all these?"
"Dinner." Your eyes sparkled as you looked at his back while he removed his loafers and placed them at the corner of the door and then turned to face you. "Wait, I texted you what i was craving, and i don't think my message was read." Jungkook's expression dropped.
He definitely didn't get what you wanted because he did not check his phone for the last hour, and he knows you're gonna be disappointed by his choice of food. his eyes look around in sadness, like a little puppy.
you sit on the couch and open up the food that he got because damn you're hungry like a pack of wolves. Pregnancy appetite is no joke! Jungkook grew closer to you as he bit on his lips and blinked fast. He felt disheartened. one, because he didn't get what you wanted so you won't be satisfied and two, he got what he liked so again you're not gonna like it, probably?
you've been craving for this one thing after you watched the damn tv series and you craved it so much that you tried to check for it on the food delivery app and they did have it but it was fucking expensive so you felt guilty and then you thought you could try making
it then you realized you didn't have all the ingredients to make it, and not gonna lie you even shed a few tears because you searched for easier 5 min recipes that were similar to that but there wasn't any but then your fyp was filled with food similar to that so you felt so sad that you cried for about 5 minutes and then out of no choice you texted him. pregnancy is bullshit, you thought to yourself while crying over a stupid plate of food. you opened the plastic box and- "oh my god??!!!! you got itttt?????"
you screamed and immediately got on your feet to hug him. It was Pesto alla Genovese that you were craving for. The one that Jungkook prepared for you when you first moved with him to his place. your hands were tied around his neck as you hugged him, Jungkook leans down to your height for the way you are holding his neck and pulling him down. he can feel something poking his stomach,
so he looks down only to notice your belly touching his stomach, the closeness between the two of you had his breathing getting higher and faster by each millisecond and you are unconsciously hugging him while yapping about how much you were craving for this the whole evening. he's unsure if he should hug you back or keep his hands to himself but he's stiff and by the time he does anything, it's too late. "you have no idea-"
you get a lack of response from him, so when you stop talking you realise that it's so quiet in the room and that you're really really close to him. you soon pulled out your arms from him, still standing in front of him, right there. you didn't want this to be awkward even though the man standing forward you are extremely stiff. "uh-" you blink multiple times, regretting your life decisions because what did you just do right now?
'shit- what should I say- say something Jungkook, don't just stand like that. she's never gonna hug you again if you continue to make this whole situation uncomfortable.'
"Wait, so this is what you craved for?!" he soon asked you with his eyes larger than it was, showing you that he was genuinely so happy that he got what you wanted. you nodded your head, leaving a distance between the two of you. "Yes, you did see my texts!!" "No, I did not, I promise." You looked at him, with squinting eyes. He put his hands up, showing you that he did not lie. "Oh man, this is girl's dinner!" Jungkook huffed. "Girls' dinner?"
"The ones who watch Tiktok would know, unlike you." "You think I don't have TikTok? I do." "Never seen you use it." "Well, you haven't seen anything about me, yet." "don't want to, anyway." "eat your food." He quits the little bickering between the two of you, while you open up the other packaging.
there's not just one pasta, there's pumpkin ravioli, and spinach gnocchi with extra cheese too??! you took deep breaths of all the food and tried hard not to pass out cause it all smelled so divine, it's making your pregnancy hormones go a merry-go-round.
"What is this? you gonna kill me with all this pasta. but I'm starving, even though I had your soup, had some bread with strawberry jam, then had some Cheetos with some spread an-" "Eat up already!" "i can't find a for-" "let me get one for you." he walked to the counter and pulled out the drawers finding the cutlery.
"it's the second drawer." he opened it and found a couple inside, grabbing one fork for you he washed it with some dishwasher and then handed it over to you. "it's warm, have it now."
you poked it into the spaghetti that was coated in the pesto sauce and slurped it up. "mm mmm mmm." you hummed and continued to push more and more pasta into your mouth, your mouth being full, you still managed to poke the gnocchi and swallowed the pasta so fast, Jungkook was damn worried that you would accidentally choke. "careful tiger, the food won't run away." he smiled with his eyes.
his eyes smiled before his lips did, watching you eat so happily, humming with each bite, giggling at the mess you've made on the table and your face. the sauce covering your chin and nose. Jungkook loves his sight, it's too beautiful to look away. watching you eat, is on his favourite list.
might be in his top 5. "this may be 5 stars but yours is 10. I said what I said!" you threw your hands up, looking at him with that smile, but all that green and white sauce around your mouth had only made you look much much more adorable. "Is it?" "Of course it is! A big ass ten!" he puts his hands inside his pockets and leans against the wall, to watch you longer.
His eyes show warmth and softness towards you, he's looking at you so gently like he found a part of himself in you. He feels satisfied, he feels full just by watching you eat like a little lion cub.
"don't just stand there like a creep, join me." "it's all for you-" "Come now." you pat the seat beside you and he walks over to you, sitting next to you. "eat with me." he nods and then continues to take off the coat of his suit, leaving him with his white shirt. "I'll grab a fork for myself." He gets one for himself,
and you pass the pasta to him. He still can't stop looking at you, you're such a messy eater, he's holding back his laugh. you look over at him and raise your eyebrow. "what?" "it's nothing-"
"What?" he takes a tissue out of the plastic bag and grows closer to you, pasting the tissue to your face. "clean your face." you rolled your eyes at him and wiped off all the cream that was around your mouth. "Here, try the ravioli." "not a fan of pumpkin, you have it-" "What? No, you have to try it!"
you pricked a few from your fork and brought it closer to his mouth. "I'm good y/n-" "Try it-" "No I'm-" The pasta slipped off the fork and fell on his white shirt. you gasped and soon picked it up, but the shirt was already stained.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry-" "Hey-" you grabbed the tissue, pulling him closer to wipe it off. 'the shirt is probably from an extremely expensive brand, and you just ruined it y/n.' you think to yourself and continue to get the yellowness off his cloth. Jungkook looks at you, he sees the worry in your eyes but he doesn't mind it. he's got a lot of shirts, this isn't his only white. "I'm so sorry-'' "Hey, it's alright y/n. let me do it-" "No, I made this mess, I'm gonna clean it." you got a glass of water and a wet towel, to get it off faster.
The water had wet his chest and allowed it to be seen through now, his skin showing off the wet material. the colour just doesn't seem to go away! "remove your shirt-" "What??!!" "Remove it, it needs soap, its colour is just getting worse." "but-" "Fast! now!" he stood up and unbuttoned it, removing the shirt off,
he handed it over to you. you soon ran to the washroom to get it clean. while Jungkook stands in the living room, feeling cold as goosebumps rise, due to the cold temperature of the air conditioner.
Since it's weird to just stand here, he walks to your bedroom, the only bedroom here anyway. you've created a little place for yourself, the number of plushies sitting on the bed with fairy lights surrounding the wall with fake leaves. Your bedside table had books and your pills on it and the little mirror was decorated with stickers and lipstick kisses which were probably yours.
He poked his head inside the washroom, and he saw you scrubbing the area that was stained. "it's gone, I'm just gonna let this dry now." He nods and waits till you walk out of the washroom, he feels uncomfortable to be shirtless here.
He stands by the window that faces the quiet streets and watches outside. you close the washroom door and notice him here, his back is bare, and so are his tattoos. you remember them vividly, how you traced them while looking into his eyes. god, those tattoos were a masterpiece decorating his arm. you didn't even realise him turning around to face you because all you were observing were his inked arm that looked more visible when it was facing you.
"Like what you see?"

We need to talk about healthcare and financial crises. There are a lot of us who wholeheartedly believe that there are cures to everything but that our illness is a form of profit for our country, especially within the United States. Just like the fact that instead of having fruit and vegetables and herbs be readily available and accessible for us, we’ve got to go buy them and as inflation increases, the price tags on healthier food choices increases. In the United States, you can get fined for not having insurance, but when you do have insurance you have to pay a fee to have it, large chunks of our pay checks are eaten up and taken from us as well as tax dollars. We not only have issues in the health care system regarding racial bias and discrimination but we also have a problem with the maternal mortality rate, especially in women of color, and especially in regards to black women.
We know who is most likely to get sickle cell anemia and who is most affected by it, and we know who is going to have a hard time affording a 2.2 million cure for sickle cell anemia. We know a large quantity of individuals with chronic illnesses or life threatening illnesses that require intensive medical care and medication are people or color or minorities. We know that people of color and minorities have historically been and systematically been financially unstable, have been paid more, or have been offered the lowest standard of care and resources. Why are we creating cures and services that we know a large percentage of our population cannot afford or does not have access to? And now, we have a case where even a larger percentage of our population cannot afford healthcare and services due to the economic state of our country.
We’re continuing to have children, especially as women, when we need to advocate for better healthcare and support. Women worldwide need to start setting better requirements for when they’re going to have children and how. As someone whose been interested in midwifery for years and has been reading up on midwifery and birthing practices and what is absolutely necessary and essential in order to give a woman a chance at having a smooth, healthy, and safe pregnancy. Vast majority of women who are having children don’t realize that today’s practices for birthing children or preparing you for labor and delivery are less than the bare minimum. Women need access to good food and need to be able to eat well and have a nutritionally balanced diet, women need to be able to participate in physical activity and exercise throughout their pregnancy (yoga, Pilates, walking, etc.) and especially with trained professionals and staff who are educated on what type of physical exercise would best benefit a woman throughout her pregnancy and what will ultimately help her out when it’s time to deliver, they need access to good environments and practices that are created to benefit them and make their experiences easier, safer, and more comfortable. And they absolutely do not need to be required to pay an arm and a leg in hospital fees to have a child in the United States.
We need better health care that better accommodates women in the process of conceiving, women going through their pregnancy, women who are laboring and delivering, and women who are still alive during post partum healing. All these things should be requirements. All of these things should be covered by insurance. The issue is so large that women are having to travel outside of the United States to give birth to their babies and come back so that they could have better care and a better recovery and overall survival rate. It’s expensive to hire a midwife, let alone a dula for spiritual guidance and support. All women should have access to midwives and dulas and there needs to be more women in the birthing industry. We know that traditional midwifery practices and practices that were created to better aid women and were more effective and atomically accurate have been let go of or replaced.
Children are expensive, motherhood is expensive, and at this current moment we have mothers who are going through their pregnancies and post partum without proper resources and care and we have children coming into this world constantly and repeatedly to environments, parents, circumstances, etc. that aren’t financially, emotionally, or physically fit or stable to give them good lives. We need to stop having children at such a rate whilst we shift our focus to advocating for better health care and support for our women. Having a child is a privilege, some people may not agree, but just because we love them does not mean that we should all be having them because at this time we do not have the proper resources to bring them into this world correctly or provide for them.
There’s a lot going on here and a lot we need to advocate for. And those who are chronically ill or have been intense physical ailments and pregnant women who are giving birth to babies are just the tip of the iceberg. This isn’t even including the chronically mentally ill or those with developmental disabilities whose families have to pay thousands of dollars just to get them what they need. Since we’re changing the world and there is a shift happening, it’s time we start having the right conversations at the right time. There’s no time to change the world like today.

Can I Exercise During Pregnancy?
Pregnancy is a transformative experience, often accompanied by a myriad of questions about health and well-being. One common query among expectant mothers is, "Can I exercise during pregnancy?" The short answer is yes, but with some important considerations. Exercising during pregnancy can offer numerous benefits for both the mother and the baby, provided it is done safely and under medical guidance. In this blog, we'll explore the advantages of prenatal exercise and provide tips for staying active, with insights from the experts at the best fertility clinic in Delhi, SCI IVF Hospital.
Benefits of Exercising During Pregnancy
Engaging in regular physical activity during pregnancy can lead to numerous health benefits, including:
Improved Mood and Energy Levels: Exercise can help alleviate common pregnancy symptoms such as fatigue and mood swings by boosting endorphin levels.
Better Sleep: Regular physical activity can improve sleep patterns, helping expectant mothers get the rest they need.
Reduced Pregnancy Discomfort: Exercise can help alleviate back pain, swelling, and constipation, which are common complaints during pregnancy.
Easier Labor and Delivery: Strengthening the body through exercise can lead to a smoother labor and delivery process.
Faster Postpartum Recovery: Women who exercise during pregnancy often experience quicker recovery post-birth.
Safe Exercise Practices
While exercise is beneficial, it is essential to approach it with caution during pregnancy. Here are some tips from the best IVF doctor in Delhi to ensure safe prenatal workouts:
Consult Your Healthcare Provider: Before starting any exercise regimen, it's crucial to get the green light from your healthcare provider, especially if you have any pregnancy complications.
Choose Low-Impact Activities: Opt for low-impact exercises such as walking, swimming, prenatal yoga, and stationary cycling. These activities are gentle on the joints and reduce the risk of injury.
Stay Hydrated and Avoid Overheating: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after exercise. Avoid exercising in hot, humid conditions to prevent overheating.
Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how your body feels during exercise. If you experience dizziness, shortness of breath, or any unusual symptoms, stop immediately and consult your doctor.
Modify as Needed: As your pregnancy progresses, you may need to modify your exercise routine. Avoid activities that involve lying flat on your back after the first trimester and exercises that pose a risk of falling or abdominal trauma.
Exercise Recommendations
The experts at SCI IVF Hospital suggest incorporating the following types of exercise into your routine:
Aerobic Exercise: Activities like walking, swimming, and dancing can help maintain cardiovascular fitness without putting too much strain on your body.
Strength Training: Light resistance training with weights or resistance bands can help maintain muscle tone. Focus on exercises that target major muscle groups.
Flexibility and Balance: Prenatal yoga and stretching exercises can improve flexibility and balance, which are beneficial as your center of gravity shifts.
Pelvic Floor Exercises: Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles through Kegel exercises can help prevent urinary incontinence and prepare the body for childbirth.

Pregnancy and Self-Care: Prioritizing Your Well-Being
Since being pregnant is an amazing experience that is full of joy and excitement, there are changes and challenges along the way. Expectant mothers need to put their health first by practicing self-care during this exciting time.
Let's cover and discuss easy yet powerful strategies to guarantee a happy and healthy pregnancy.
Tumblr media
Pregnancy and Self-Care during Pregnancy
1. Nutrition (Fueling Your Body and Baby)
Good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy pregnancy. Make sure your diet is well-balanced and full of important nutrients, such as protein, calcium, iron, and folic acid.
Within your meals, include a range of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, as well as lean proteins. Regular small meals can help stabilize your energy levels and help you manage your nausea.
2. Hydration (Water for Two)
It is critical to stay hydrated when pregnant. Water supports the increased blood volume, helps digestion, and maintains amniotic fluid levels stable.
Try to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, and carry a reusable bottle as a reminder to stay hydrated. This is importance of self-care during pregnancy.
3. Regular Exercise (Nurturing Your Body)
Pregnancy and self-care exercise can reduce discomfort, elevate mood, and enhance general well-being. Take part in low-impact exercises like yoga for pregnant women, swimming, or walking.
Before beginning any new fitness routine, speak with your doctor. Pay attention to your body and change the level of difficulty as necessary.
4. Adequate Rest (The Power of Sleep)
It is hard work growing a tiny human, so getting enough sleep is essential. Get 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night.
Create a relaxing sleep environment, stick to a nightly schedule, pregnancy self-care products and think about using pillows to support your evolving body. Good sleep is important for both mental and physical health.

5. Stress Management (Finding Calm Amidst Chaos)
Stress is a normal part of pregnancy, and it can cause a wide range of emotions. On the other hand, ongoing anxiety can be harmful to both you and your child.
Use stress-reduction strategies like meditation, deep breathing, or mild exercise. Be in the company of a network of friends and family who are there to support you during pregnancy and self-care at home.
6. Regular Prenatal Check-ups (Partnering with Doctor)
Regular prenatal visits are essential for keeping an eye on the mother's and the unborn child's health. Please keep your appointments, talk to the doctor about any worries, and do as they advise.
Frequent tests help in the early detection and treatment of possible problems.
7. Educate Yourself (Empowerment through Knowledge)
Since knowledge is power, being aware of the changes your body is going through can help you feel less anxious.
Read trustworthy pregnancy books, take prenatal classes, and keep up with birthing procedures. Being informed allows you to make decisions that are best for both your health and your child's health.
How does a man feels when his wife is pregnant?
A man frequently experiences a range of emotions when his wife becomes pregnant. Becoming a parent and looking forward to meeting the baby is exciting. Also, some men may experience a little stress or worry, particularly if it is their first child.
They might want to know how being a father will affect them and how their lives will change in general. A man could also feel required to provide for and take care of his pregnant spouse.
All in all, as the couple starts this new and exciting chapter in their lives together, the emotions can vary from excitement and eagerness to a hint of fear.
Do husbands love their pregnant wives?
Yes, most husbands have a strong love for their pregnant wives. Pregnancy can deepen a couple's emotional connection as they travel through this journey together.
A feeling of love and connection can be developed by the excitement of bringing a new member of the family into the home and the excitement of becoming parents.
In besides attending prenatal visits and actively helping with the baby's arrival preparations, husbands can show their love for their wives through providing support during pregnancy.
While every person and relationship is different, many husbands discover during pregnancy that they have greater respect for their wives because they understand the courage and stamina needed to carry and raise a child.
