"Miaellaaa" at Midwest Academy
I myself am a survivor of Midwest Academy in Keokuk, Iowa, which was shut down back in 2016.
i was there when i was 15 for 2.5 months and i think i would have been there until i was 18 if it hadn’t been for the miracle of 2 boys in the program turning 18 and immediately going to the police and the FBI coming in and shutting it down, the owner of the program Ben Trane is in prison now. it’s been 7 years since i went through this but it still impacts my life every single day and i always feel like i have to keep it hidden away so deeply because nobody can ever understand or relate at all.
I talk to a few of the girls from program occasionally still, but otherwise it feels like nobody in my day to day life would ever get it. it’s my biggest hurt and no matter what horrors i could go through in my life, this experience will always be the very worst. today i discovered this community and although i wanna cry and hug each one of you and feel so sad you all went through this too, i feel so good that there’s people who get it and understand. we all survived and deserve to live normal and happy

Title: Regret
Pairing: Ben Chilwell X Reader
Content: angst, fluff
You and ben have been a couple for about 4 years now. Both of you really love and understand each other, moreover for the past 1 year, you two can not be separated from each other because you have moved to Ben's house and that what makes you two more and more in love.
The season chelsea have been through was not really good. The club end up in 12th place in pl rank and there are lots of rumour of his teammates gonna go to another clubs, that's the reason why Ben always get home angry and not in the mood for the past 1 month. Like today, the traning session went well but the match wasn't. Chelsea lost 2 points against Liverpool, you've watched the game at home because youre working and got into some of accident when you were buying coffe at the supermarket across the office till your left palm wounded but u said to Ben that u just feeling a bit sick so you can't make it to the pitch. So you just waiting for Benji to reach home in the livingroom.
Not long after that, you heard your boyfriend opened the door and having such a disappointed and tired look in his face.
"Hei benjii, are u okay love?" while hiding ur left hand
"Yea i'm fine" he didn't even give you kisses when you welcome him.
He directly went to the kitchen and open the fridge "Why the hell there is no food in here? You didn't cook?" he asked
"No im sorry, i didn't cook because im feeling unwell and i just wanted to got home directly on my way home"
"Oh yea right" hearing him just responding u like that is kinda hurt but u dont want to make him more stressed out, so you just ignore it
"Should i cook for you? or we just order some food? what do you want?"
"No need, ill order it later by myself" while putting his dirty clothes in the basket
"Eum how are you today? any stories?" you asked wanted to know more about his day
"You still asking me? you saw me lost right, fucking lost and here you are still asking me about how am i, dont play dumb Y/N you already know how terrible i am now, if you want some attention the answer is not now"
this is the first time he snapped at you, his whole face turning red
Your heart was aching but again u just hold it
"Can u chill out? I just want to know more about my boyfriend's day. Is that so wrong?" holding up your tears
"Yes its so fucking wrong, youve already saw me lost today and u still asking me about my day, and always asking me the same annoying questions when i get home" he answered
"Oh so im the one who is wrong here huh?" you replied
"Yeah because you always so chatty about many things, this and that and also annoying"
You continued, "well maybe your decision to asked me move out with you was wrong then huh?"
"Kinda regret it indeed" he said it cold and went upstairs to your shared room
You frozen for a second hearing what he said, u just went blanking and dont know what to do. Your heart is aching so much, the questions youve always asked him that you consider it as an act of caring but ur boyfriend seemed didn't really happy about it. You always have his back and support all of the things he does but seems it is not enough for him.
You decided to put your jacket on and take your car's key. You told your security at home to open the gate and said to him that you just wanted to go to the supermarket.
After ben done showering, he went downstairs to check up on you because he felt guilty about the argument earlier but you weren't in the living room so he tried to find you in the guest bedroom but u also weren't there, he tried to call your name
"Y/N.... Y/N, are u here babe?" all around the house but he didnt find you
Then he heard some knock on the door, he thought it was you but it turned your best friend, Camilla.
" Omg you camilla, i thought it was Y/N"
"What shes not home? where is she ben?"
"Shes home when i arrived then after i showered shes gone"
"You should find her, her car missing i thought u used it but youre here and her hand wounded because of this morning accident, she really need a rest, im so worried rn"
"What? what accident? she didnt tell me anything? oh my lord, i messed up real bad, fuck it"
"Dont you say youve had some argument earlier ben?" camilla narrowed her eyes
"Yes yes we had it okay, and it was kinda really bad camilla, she must gone because of it, ,im so stupid, ill go find her rn"
"Damn it you chilwell, find my friend rn or you dead with me!"
They both go out to the security guard and asked about you, its almost midnight and you havent even come back home. Ben really worried about you and getting more stressed out. He called you so many tjmes but seems you have blocked his contact, then he called all of his friends and bodyguard acquaintances to find you. He also went to all of your favorite places but still he didn't find you. He drove his car with tears coming down on his cheek, he really regret what he have done to you, you didn't deserve to be treated like that. You are his princess, best friend, and also partner in everything, how could he be so mean, how could he let anger overwhelm him.
Its 3.30 am, hes still on the road till he got a call from a guy name Franky his bodyguard acquaintances, he said he found u because u use your credit card to stay in a hotel. Ben directly went to that hotel and asking your room number to the receptionist, glad that he knew ben and knew that you are his girlfriend so he let him to have the spare key.
Ben already there, in front of room 305 your room. He got in and found the silent and dark room. He turned on the light and saw you slept peacefully on the king size bed. He saw your puffy face and traces of tears that still wet on your cheeks. He checked your wounded palm too, looking at you like this made him really felt terrible rn.
Benji checked your silent phone and found so many missed calls from him, camilla, and others. Benji sent text to camilla first to tell her that youre okay. After that he just lay beside and hugging you till he fell asleep.
In the morning you awake and realized youre not home, but u felt someones arm hugging u from behind, u wanted to shout out at first but then u recognize the hand and also the tattooes. ITS MR CHILWELL.
You try to get up and let go his grip slowly, but Benji noticed.
"Hi baby" u just silent at his raspy voice, youre mad at him but also missing him sm at the same time.
"Hey i know you awake love, come here, let me see your face"
You try to hold ur body but u cant, he managed to turn your body to face his. His face looked so calm now not like last night. He smiled at you for a awhile.
He suddenly kiss your lips and u wipe it
"Huftt i know u must be really mad at me rn, im sorryy babe, i messed up"
"Oh you call me babe now?"
"Sorry sorryy Y/N, babe, i really regret what i did to you last night, im sorry, i let my emotion took control of me" he pleaded
"Yea" that was all u said, tried to get up from his tight hands around you
"No no youre not going anywhere" he said
"Huftt... i dont know Ben, im really dissappointed at you right now. The way u treated me last night make me feel like u dont love me anymore. You really know it well that i dont like when people raised their voice on me especially the people i love, you" u said it in tears
"Baby i know, i know you we've been together for 4 years. I really know it well, im sorry that i treated you like youre somekind of punching bag to me. It was just the effect of bad season and the rumour about my teammates, i just really stress and dont know what to do. Instead i let out my anger and bad mood all to you, while all u did for me was just supporting and taking care of me. Im sorry that i called you annoying i didnt mean it. You always such a loving and caring person especially to me , i really lucky to have you in my life. Im the one whos being a dick all the time since the bad season coming for chels" he said it all in tears also
You touched, you know u shouldnt go easy to him after he breaking ur heart like that. But you love him and you know frpm the deep down of your heart that he really didnt mean it. He even put so much effort to find you. You sighs and continue
"I know, you just stressed out but im here as your partner to comfort you, taking care you, hearing you, and loving you okay not a place for you to let out your anger out. I just wanted to support you Ben in every obstacles on your life, dont get it wrong. And ya maybe sorry if im being too much chatty in your house too, ill try reduce it"
"Love noo, its our house not my house. Its ours not only mine, and no youre not chatty im sorry you just wanted to take care of me and please do it for me" he smiled wiping off your tears
"I really regret my act last night, give me one chance to make us better" he continued
"Um noo" you answered
"Baby what do you mean no" he afraid of the possibility of breaking up and losing you
"Are you not gonna forgive and give me a chance?" he panicking
"I do give you a chance but i cant forgive you yet" you said "It was just too much for me, you know it right?"
"Okay okayy, im glad to hear that thank you sweet" he kissed you
"How do i make it up then baby?"
"With a rope and handcuffs maybe?"
"Oh you want to have playtime? thats easy babe. We just need to get home first"
"Yea playtime but this time im not the one whos being tied and hancuffed"
"You mean me?? hell no" benji refused it
"Okay then no sleeping with me for the next 1 week" you threathen
"Noooo, okay okay babyyy im down for it, youre the dom for tonight's playtime" he smiled
"Yayyy and can i ask one more thing again?"
you pleaded with puppy eyes
"Anything for my baby"
"Can you accompany me to watch barbie and going shopping for barbie related things?"
"Yes you can love, its easier than to be a sub for a playtime" he carresed your cheek
"Now can you forgive me now? I need an official statement from you"
"Yeaa kindaaa"
"I take it as a yes princess, and dont ever you call me Ben again, its terrifying"
You indeed never call him by his real name its always Benji, love, baby, babe, etc, because if you call him by his real name he knows it well that he has messed up real bad with you and he didnt like that also.
"And btw why u didnt tell me about thi" ben asked pointing to your wounded hand
"Dont want u to be worried to much at me while youre on the pitch" you smiled innocently
"Love u have to tell me okay, im sorry i didnt even paying attention to it"
"Its okay, im okay now"
"Have you bring it to the doctor?"
"Yes i have, yesterday and she said its totally okay, i just need to treat it well and change my bandages"
"Hmm i see, lets get home right now and take care your wound okay, you also owe me a story of this little accident"
"I will tell u in car, lets get out pf here right now benjii, im hungryy"
"Lets goo, but kiss me first and say i love you baby"
"Why?? u always like it when i call you Benji"
" I like it but baby is more special to me, also just want to make sure you really forgive me :)"
"I forgive you Mr.Ben Chilwell" you kissed him in a passionate kiss, quite long kiss the you two pull out
"And i really love you baby, thats the reason why i cant stay mad at you" rub your nose against his
"But promise me you will never do that again?"
"Promise princess, i will make you happy, im sorry about yesterday alright love? I really regret it, i love you so much"
You two once again pull in for a kiss and then checked out from the hotel and going home.

Kai & Julie in the Pokemon AU?
Thank you so much for the ask!
Starting of with Kai, i made her an archaeologist in this au instead of a xenologist. Her and Ben also never liked each other romantically, they would always fight (pokemon battles not physically) as kids when their grandpas would visit each other. Now they have become friends although still with a healthy rivalry and bickering :D!
Kai’s team: lycanroc (midnight form), cradily, carracosta, archeops, bastiodon and tyrantrum
(Didnt make her younger version yet, but i can tell u her first polemon is rockruff)
Julie time, she and Ben used to date, and it goes about the same as in cannon, however here Ben was to focused on pokemon traning/batteling ofc. They r pretty good friends still though and meet up at least once every month to talk :]
julie works as a professional tennis player, shes also a really good pokemon trainer and will occasionally help out in a gym as an extra trainer if shes needed and often competes in competitions for fun
Julies team: zigarde (10% form), alolan ninetails, persian, sawsbuck (spring form) furfrou (heart trim) and furret
Also im planning on making Ester soon so look out for that! :DD

ROBERTO OTTAVIANO-ETERNAL LOVE: “PEOPLE” (parte II)

The motors on the air conditioning units run forever and I mean it 20 30 year lifetime they run constantly and they use the horsepower to push big fans and a lot of air at pressure now they don't make that much noise they sound completely different unless you're a technician but it sounds kind of cool it's like an electrical sound and a humming. But these larger motors can be used for automobiles some of these air conditioning units like camper like a RV A motorhome that you drive and that's the whole unit and our son has been inside one and is expecting it just to see if they actually hooking it up and it works and was running his job and they push a ton of air and he said you don't want to be in it already sort of was it was like a window and those motors are about 89 horsepower and that might be enough using their technique and it might be enough on the lighter car so he's going to try and tassels he was a transformer and they require of like 200 volts and they do require more amperage but the transformer will do that and the automatic is nice he has an automatic car with it's kind of a pain in the ass really bad it shifts bad compared to other cars and these things shift really nice and smooth hey you can almost not mess them up.
And we tested them and made a bunch and her son and daughter say what are they clueless and they use these electric motors on other stuff but these HVAC unit ones seem to work great some of them work better than others then Arnold owns train and his work on a certain vehicle it's a truck and you wouldn't expect it but the gearing is right so he told Blake and he made one can you call Ben Arnold and he said no way meaning I'm excited about it but I can't do with you and you heard our son say you have to maybe a Tesla truck he got on the line again said I'm sorry I said that I'm having a problem it says I know about it because he needs money he heard and also he said how do you think this sounds train truck and they said oh my God but he was saying Tesla truck but how about Tesla trade Tesla powered by trane. They both got excited it's two megaliths in the industry and a relative of Tesla and someone who was Tesla and Ben Arnold was on the team with Tesla and owns trained this isn't that fascinating the owners of the company are doing it what's going to happen next where you get that ice cream with no sugar and low fat. Then Arnold started screaming with laughter and said I think we have to do that this is stupid nobody uses fat anymore might have to it says he doesn't want to talk about it. It comes down to that we're not going to be searching for a fat cow. He started laughing and laughing that's true. And I'm not going to be doing that. So he was talking about trucks earlier and I helped reach the subject and I'll tell you what this is a damn good idea those electric trucks have tons of torque so you can rip like the living s*** out of practice anything and sometimes they need that for a PTO also they started whining and crying and it was really weird so they need people to back and they need investors and factories I will never start and the max probably wanted to go they say they do they need it down there and they did now they want to get the boys something for mentioning them strange blue red people and blue emerald so the same shut up and stuff it's probably the cocaine.
It's going forwards now and he says a car is something I can drive but not with lithium but I can special order the alkaline probably on a Tesla car and everybody would freak out and BG wants me to have one and it's because of his AI fantasy it's really a Rock and roll fantasy our son says and daughter so yeah okay we're going to try and get these things going
Thor Freya
This is really exciting and interesting how it's happening and it is fun and having a truck is nice you can make some of that have really really massive horsepower and thick thick steel and they're just rip the tires right off almost anything that a military grade solid tire they are really powerful and we need those and we need those to move things around we have a couple giant earthwork trucks that have the light cycle drive and their electric and the steel on them is super strength and massively beefy about 80 ft tall 120 ft wide it's like a it's like the bank size building near the mall in Port Charlotte it's it's big and the steel on it's 3 ft thicken areas and on the drive and take off it is about 2 and 1/2 ft thick. My son says at 80 ft he could not lift the drive mechanism and we agree that's way too thick other Giants think they can but they haven't seen this two and a half thick
Olympus
People already have names for these things Tesla truck powered by train and of course zero motorcycles by Trump and BG as a name and he uses it and it's his American version he wants to make a Chinese version to compete with choaw he says get out of here it'll be war and things like that and take your automatic transmission idea in a sense is what with the Chinese air conditioner motor it says yeah we use them the factories as true too they last forever you go to work and you think it's going to break after 20 years 25 years and it doesn't cuz that's moving that air and it's great keeps everything clean and yeah the electricity works better cooler now we used to save on money and we weren't we are going to look at it. And automatic sounds great

TWO MORE TENOR/BASS/DRUMS TRIOS 9 PM SETS AT SMALL’S JAZZ CLUB
COUCH TOUR: STEVE CARRINGTON with Boris Kozlov and Uros Markovic, 15 FEBRUARY 2023
ALMOST COUCH TOUR: THE FRINGE (George Garzone, Jon Lockwood, and Ben Perowsky), 3 FEBRUARY 2023
The STEVE CARRINGTON date was advertised as a tribute to John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, and Dexter Gordon so my curiosity was piqued. GEORGE GARZONE had been booked for a prime weekend run, so that too was an endorsement which I took up having seen Carrington. Plus I had the Julieta Eugenio/Melissa Aldana/Nicole Glover run to explore this ensemble which was itself on top of an Aldana and Crash Trio exploration of Mark Turner’s work in Fly Trio and Warne Marsh with Red Mitchell.
CARRINGTON explicitly invited us back to the Village Vanguard where the Rollins album was recorded but also, I think, Chasin’ the Trane for which McCoy Tyner sat out. I don’t recall a Dexter Gordon trio date, but Carrington’s lush playing and approach to standards (Nostalgia and My One and Only Love) covered that base. He opened with Coltrane’s Lonnie’s Lament and included Rollins’ Pent Up House. While I think of those two giants as having big sounds (and they do), it is Gordon who is more lush. Carrington is more in the middle while sharing the melodicism of each of them. He was rarely in a furious sheets of sound mode and he bounced happily to the music.
Such trios pose equal challenges for the rhythm sections and, while all four players delivered, with Carrington it was Boris Kozolov’s bass that filled up the space with very tasty accompaniment and inventive solos. With THE FRINGE, drummer Ben Perowsky was the big presence while Jon Lockwood helped ground things and mellowed a sometimes frantic tone. Garzone played to Perowsky, locking in with his back half turned to the audience to up the temperature.
My homework with George Garzone didn’t lead me to expect such a free set. His tone is dryer and the recordings I heard were standards. But THE FRINGE came out of the gates fast and furious, listening to one another intently but responding idiosyncratically. The tunes almost seemed to be medleys with Lockwood’s solos serving as resets suggesting new possibilities for Garzone in round two. Again, it was Perowsky who opened the throttle while finding flavors and commentary, melodic as well as rhythmic, at volume locked in with Garzone and sensitively behind Lockwood.
This was an interesting juxtaposition and a chance to see what players do without a piano. And it’s good to visit this ensemble, so of course I will again and again.

Flower girl and Her Football boys| A Mason Mount And Ben Chilwell Love Triangle
Chapter 6:
Masterlist
Notes: I wrote this on the train before college so I didn’t have time to proof read it! But enjoyyyyyy💓
Bens first thought was that maybe it would be a good idea to avoid you for a few days, give you some time to sort out your head out. Then Ben had a realisation, he was just giving you more time to think about your amazing date with Mason.
So he did something he didn’t think he was going to do on a Thursday morning after traning...
With his head held high he was going to walk right into your flower shop and demand you make a decision.
But with that Ben then also sat I his car for a solid 10 minuets before he worked up the courage to actually get out.
When he did his heart was racing, he approached the purple shop and the little bell dinged when he opened the door. Thats when he was faced with the wrong y/l/n.
"Took you long enough" your sister raised her eyebrows at Ben.
He huffed in defeat as he led his body fall onto the little white sofa in the corner of the shop.
"You've been out there for a while? You okay?" you sister questions, as she places her self next to Ben.
Ben sits for a moment, he takes in a large breath before turning to lilly. "Does she like Mason?" he didn't make eye contact as he said it, but Lilly could hear the pain in his voice.
"Oh Ben." she frowns at him, clearly feeling sorry for him.
"She does don't she?" the question was rhetorical, Ben knew she had made a decision, and it didn't involve him.
"Honestly, I dont think she does know what she wants." Lilly cross her arms, "She's always been like this I guess."
"What's that supposed to mean?" ben sits up, interested in that her older sister is about to say.
"I just mean, your going to scare her and she going to run, not just from you, Mason too. It's inevitable." she shrugs as she stands up walking back over to the counter. Ben says up and think for a moment.
"Im lost." he says with raised eyebrows.
"She's used to being used, her track record with loving boyfriends are not great. So she sees anything that might remotely be good for her and she ruins it then runs." Lilly shrugs again before fiddling with the counter.
There was a silence in the shop for a moment, a silence that was loud with Bens thoughts. He wanted her, and he knew that if he did he was breaking his best friend.
He stood up quickly, he had an idea, and not a good one.
"Where is she?"
Lilly knew who she was without the name, and she knew she shouldn't have told Ben, but it wouldn't be long before he figured it out.
"Lilly where is she?" Bens voice grew stronger.
"She went out for coffee with Mason, there probably be back soon." Lilly huffed as she rubbed her forehead.
Ben sat back in the sofa as he waited for the pair to return back to the shop, and they did, 20 minutes later. Laughing away with empty coffee cups in their hands as Mason had his arm over her shoulder. You tended when Mason placed his hand on your lower back as you walked over to the counter, Lilly pulling a face of sympathy at you.
"Chilly!" Mason hugged Ben before falling onto the sofa too, "We was just saying, y/n is going to come out with us on Saturday, meet some of the boys. Lilly your welcome to come?" Mason turns his neck to look over to you and your sister at the counter.
She just politely nods before putting on her jacket to leave since it was closing time.
Mason sits up, "I have to go, family meal.” Mason smiled before he walked over giving you a tight hug, and before you knew it he had left the shop, leaving you and Ben, and that god dam silence.
"Do you regret it?" he mumbles as you start to shut the blinds getting ready for closing.
"Regret what Ben?" You huff, you were acting oblivious, you knew exactly what he was talking about. You walk back to the counter again, cleaning up behind your sister, but really trying to make yourself busy.
"You know what I mean y/n" Ben snears at you.
"What do you want be to say Ben? That I enjoyed having sex with you I just felt guilty about it? Because that's exactly how I feel!" you start to shout at him.
"Do you think I like feeling this way y/n?" Ben questions you, you could hear the hurt in his voice.
There was a silence of voices for a moment, the only sound being your harsh breaths.
“Would it be bad if I said that I can’t stop thinking about having my way with you on this little sofa” Ben huffs as he intensely stairs through you.
And before you could comprehend what you had done, you had walked over to Ben on the sofa.
Harshly kissing his lips like you had longed to since the last time. Straddling him while he places his hands on your waist.
“Ben, this can't happen." even though they were your words, it didn't stop Ben from swiping his tongue across your bottom lip and into your mouth, exploring around.
After a while you pull away to catch your breath and so does Ben, "I can't do this to him." you say as you look into Bens eyes. That was her way for telling him she had made her decision, it was Mason.
You climbed off of him, feeling his evident boner brush your thigh. You knew you had to stop as you you would get carried away, but at the same time you didn’t know if you wanted it or not.
“I don’t know why or how you make me feel this way y/n, but you do, and honestly i find it really scary. No woman has ever made me feel these weird tingly feelings in my stomach before” Ben admitted, he was used to sleeping with women he met in clubs, he would being them home, seduce them, and kick them out the next day.
Ben wasn’t ready to admit this yet, but he had never been in love before, unless when it came to you. You made him feel things he could have drown people describe love to be like in movies.
"So I hope you know I’m not going anywhere.” Ben says as he stands up, adjusting the hat on his heed before walking out of the shop.
"I know.” Mumble, you knew he wouldn’t hear it, but I pained you to know he was going to wait for you to make a decision when you had no idea what you wanted.
As soon as Ben was away from eye sight you couldn't control the sobs that consumed you. You placed your hand over your mouth as you slit down the back of the counter. Trying to catch you breath as you realised how badly your hurting Mason, and that you need to tell him before he would find out on his own.
But for now you needed to clear your head, so there was nothing like a typical Sunday diner at your mums house to make you better.
Everyone could see you were upset about something, and knowing you history with your new ‘footballer friends’ everyone thought it was smart not to bring it up.
Except for your little brother.
“Can I ask you something?” He said as he slumped on the sofa next to you.
“Sure bud.” You ruffle his hair and turn to him with a smile.
“Did you get your heart broken?”
You huff and take in a deep breath, a little shocked form his sudden question. “not quite.”
“Then why are you being all sad and depressed and eating all the food from the fridge.”
“Is it that obvious?” You turn to look at him.
His lips form a line as he profusely nods his head.
“Because,” you huff, realising you about to confide in your 10 year old brother.
“I have to make this decision, and whatever I do I’m going to really hurt someone.”
“Then don’t chose” he shakes, like it was a no brainer.
“I wish it was that easy buddy.” You slightly laugh.
“I don’t really know what we are talking about, but chose whoever came along second. Grandad would always say if you loved the first one that much you wouldn’t have fallen for the second one.”
The truth was, you had already thought about that saying, but you didn’t really know who had came along first.
“What if that isn’t an option either?”
“Then chose the one that makes you happy.” He smiles as he places his head on your shoulder.
“But what if I don’t think I deserve to feel that way?” You mumble, kissing the top of his head. But at you words his head snaps up as he turns to look at you with raised eyebrows.
“Being happy? Y/n if anyone deserves to be happy and loved, it’s you.” You tried to stop the tears burning in your eyes but it was too late.
“Anyway your old now, I want a little niece or nephew. So whatever one you chose, your going to have to break someone’s heart”
You smiled as you realised he has caught on to what your were talking about.
“When did you get so smart?” You smile, wiping a fallen tear and pulling him in for a hug.
“Always have been, you just didn’t realise.” He smirks.
You couldn’t explain the ins and outs to your brother, obviously. That Ben was like a magnet, you felt the need for him, and not to mention the sex was great. But you could never be with Ben if Mason is always in the forefront of your mind.
And Mason was just a dream, he was the man that your always wanted when you were 18. He did very thing right, but sometimes you thought that maybe your weren’t capable of excepting his love, that you would manage a way to fuck it up…
“So how do I go about this?” Mason mumbled to the boys in the changing room.
“Just text her now, take her out for lunch or something.” Callum said, trying to help his clearly struggling friend.
“Wait! I have an idea, take her for a picnic!” Timo added in with a wide smile.
“Yeah bro! Get some sandwiches and shit from the shop and a blanket and go sit in the big park.” Kia added in.
Mason smiled as he pulled out his phone to text you, hoping you would agree to his little date idea on such short notice.
But Ben has just sad quietly in the corner, fiddling with lace of the shoe he had on his lap, hoping no one would notice his quietness at the mention of your name.

Wsetember : Vera Cruz
This 1954 film takes place during the Franco-Mexican War , a group of mercenaries including ex Confederate soldier, Ben Trane(Gary Cooper ) and gunslinger Joe Erin (Burt Lancaster ) who are recruited by Marquis Henri de Labordere (Cesar Romero ) to escort Countess Duvarre (Denise Darcel ) , though Ben and Joe are more interested in the 3 million in gold they are carrying .At first I was all into this movie:It had a strong start ,its a cynical western with amoral characters which I dig in a western ,Burt Lancaster is villainous gold ,it's very big in scope, good action scenes ,and an excellent supporting cast including Charles Bronson,Ernest Borgnine ,Henry Brandon and JAck Elam ......buuuuuuuuuuuut there are problems that soured the film for me . See it doesnt commit to the amoral thing ,as Gary Copper was uncomfortable not being a pure hero so fought to make his character more heoric, which is baffeling when you consider HIS CHARACTER IS A CONFEDERATE COLONEL.I also found Cesar Romero weirdly stiff and wooden here ,he is a lame villain (Which is weird cause this is the fuckin JOKER we are talking about ) and the finale while big and spectacular ,I found underwhelming cause I didnt care who won .I dont know how I feel about this one, theres things I liked ,but honestly I cant reccomend it

José James - My Favorite Things - a salute to Coltrane from his forthcoming Christmas album
John Coltrane has been a huge influence on me, both as a man and as an artist. Not only musically, but spiritually. He was unafraid to put God into his music and to attempt to unite humanity through sound. He embraced music from all over the world: India, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He worked with the masters of generations preceding his (Dizzy, Duke, Monk, Johnny Hodges), masters of his generation (Miles, Eric Dolphy, Elvin Jones, McCoy) and embraced future legends (Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Rashied Ali). He also embraced a business model for the future before his death, making moves to contribute and open performing arts centers in NYC and recording music for his own label. I’ve embraced that spirit with Rainbow Blonde Records and I’m proud to say that not only are we involved in the music, recording and production - that we own our own masters. Thank you Trane for your vision and example of a powerful musical and spiritual mind in our times.

Basic Training Headcanons
I don't know why but after reading @jennifer-10nyson post , ( here ) , I wanted to write this down.
This was supposed to be a small paragraph but then I got carried away and then OCs started coming in and well, it got long and ended up being this. Also I didn't re - read after it was done so sorry for the grammatical mistakes. Also sorry if things aren't Canon, I wasn't exactly thinking about it much when I was typing it out.
This is how the Basic Training episode [ or story arc ] should've gone in my opinion.
The trio is taken to the academy as usual
Ben complains , Tack is introduced
Brannigan is still a jerk, but still is head of the alpha squad.
They are the best ranking team in the academy
Ben and co will not be fighting with them or against them throughout their stay.
They've been training for a while and are on a whole other level. Ben and Co. are considered newbies to the program so it doesn't make sense for them to be together.
When they arrive , they are taken to the main hall.
Ben, even Gwen and Kevin don't really think the need training. They have saved the world a lot.
There are more aliens besides them , not just the 4.
Hulka informs them that they will have specific training to help them develop their own capabilities.
They will then also have common classes like what were mentioned in the episode about space ships n alike, and stratergy making sessions
One of the classes is a common combat class like using weapons and stuff we saw in the episode, for times when they can't use their powers for some reason [ like how anodites cant use mana on geochelones]
They have dinner and go to bed.
Next day they start their traning.
Besides Gwen , there are only 2 other anodites present, Josephine and Celeste.
Josephine is an anodite- petrosapien hybrid and Celeste is a splixson-anodite hybrid [ why are they like that? Lol idk, just thought I explore the whole anodites can have kids with any species aspect and these were the first aliens that popped into my head so I'm going with them]
The first session is to show what they are capable of by going through a stimulation.
Neither of them make it to the end, though Gwen puts up a good fight compared to the others.
Gwen's pretty irked because she's worked hard yet she's not much better than the other 2. Then again she's self taught, there wasn't really much she could learn on her own.
The magsiter in charge of them is anodite as well, a pure anodite.
He makes a plan. By the end of the program, each of them would be able to fly to a degree and cast "spells".
Nothing too major since proper anodite training lasts for like 60-70 years.
Plumbers just train them enough so they can put up a good fight.
Their powers are further specialised due to being hybrids. Josephine's mana is bulkier and doesn't flow as smooth. The shields she puts up are pretty crystalline looking. She treats her mana like it's taydenite , by forming it into spears (?) and such.
Celeste doesn't really focus on shields much but instead focuses on making multiple copies of her self. They don't all share feelings, their kind of like echo - echo but without with sonar.
Both of them do dual training , but major in mana manipulation and minor in the others because their anodite abilities are their weak point.
Gwen's human so nothing special for her :(
Now moving on to Kevin.
There are 5 osmosians , including Kevin
" aren't you the guy that destroyed the academy 2 months ago?" - uhh ..yes ? - awesome dude, up top"
Amanda and her twin sister Stacy grew up on a space ship in space. Their father was an osmosian plumber that constantly got relocated to different planets.
Jeremy is one of those stuck up dudes who thinks he's better than everyone.
Kevin scoffed him off initially but is amazed when he saw him absorbing and using electricity during the stimulation with great control.
Phineas is pretty much like Kevin. Chill and all about the tech.
Their Magister is one of Osmos V's elders. She exclaims her delight when she learns Kevin is Devins son, talking about what a great plumber he was.
Jeremy and Kevin finish the stimulation neck to neck.
Kevin's not as great as Jeremy, but he's been in enough difficult situations to cope well during battle.
The plan for them: learn to absorb and control small amounts of raw energy and learn how to absorb enough of the opponents energy to equal the playing field for a while.[ idea from the @theangrycomet ]
Now Ben
Ben has the most difficult time because he needs to learn basic fighting skills for not one, but over 10 different aliens.
Poor guy is all over the place.
He needs extra training to strategise what aliens would work best in sequence of attack, know a lot about their main strengths and weaknesses
Ben gets a shock of realisation that he doesn't know much of anything lol.
" how was I supposed to know big chill is allergic to vanilla, and why would that ever be important?!! - what if you get attacked by a giant vanilla alien one day huh? You choose big chill and youre out of the game for the next hour - wow.... there are vanilla aliens? Are there chocolate ones ? - focus tennyson!
Of course there's tons of other alien species ad well.
Over all, there's around 32 aliens in the given cohort.
This whole program lasts for the whole of summer , not like 5 days. You can't train properly in 5 days.
Gwen and the others get along pretty well. It's nice to spend time with people besides Ben and Kevin.
Kevin's good too. He's surprising himself everyday with what he can do.
He and Phineas are the cool guys of the cohort, throwing random dorm room parties and just having a good time.
Kevin has a rivalry with Jeremy , but its not personal or anything.
The trio are still kind of a big deal.
Initially there was some autograph signing and picture taking but after a while the excitement died down a bit.
At the end they have 5 tests.
One is the written exam on what they've learnt about space craft and Weaponry, different alien cultures and their planets, basic alien science [ strengths and weaknesses], a personalised obstacle course , and then a team [ teams of 4] obstacle course like the hostage situation thing in the actual episode.
No ones breaking out of the null void in this AU, no major enemy threat.
It's about training and it's going to stay about training.
Of course , enemies still attack Ben but since its at a training academy, there's lots of plumbers around so the situation simmers down pretty quickly.
Gwen gets a 97, Kevin gets a 100 , Ben gets a 85.
It's not like Ben wasn't paying attention. He was just really exhausted from everything.

Included: Adobe, Apple, Autodesk, Ball Corporation, Bayer, Ben & Jerry’s, Biogen, Boston Consulting, Boyne Resorts, Brown Forman, Clif Bar, Danone, Dell, Dentsu, DHL, Edison International, Etsy, Exelon, Facebook, First Solar, Gap, GE, H&M, Hewlett Packard, IKEA, Johnson & Johnson, Johnson Controls, Kellogg, KPMG, Levi Strauss, Lululemon, Lyft, Mars, Mass General, McDonalds, Microsoft, Nestle, Nike, Patagonia, PayPal, PG&E, Philip Morris, Ralph Lauren, REI, SAP, Siemens, Sierra Nevada Brewing, Sodexo, Starbucks, Stonyfield, Syngenta, Target, Coca-Cola, Hartford, Tiffany, Trane, Unilever, Vail, Verizon, Walmart, Zurich, among others.
Excerpt from this story from the New York Times:
More than 300 businesses, including Google, McDonalds and Walmart, are pushing the Biden administration to nearly double the United States’ target for cuts to planet-warming emissions ahead of an April 22 global summit on climate change.
In a letter to President Biden released on Tuesday morning, chief executive officers from some of the nation’s largest companies will call on the administration to set a new Paris Agreement goal of slashing the nation’s carbon dioxide, methane and other planet-warming emissions at least 50 percent below 2005 levels by 2030.
That is roughly what most major environmental groups want, and the corporate executives called the target “ambitious and attainable.”
Organizers of the business letter said they hoped such a message coming from the private sector — including electric utilities like Exelon and Pacific Gas & Electric, as well as dozens of companies based in Republican districts — would resonate strongly with Congress. Other signators include Target, Verizon and Philip Morris, the tobacco giant once considered a firm ally of the Republican Party.
The effort also underscores the delicate path corporate leaders are treading in the post-Trump era. Their decisions to break with Republicans on issues like voting rights and racial justice have rankled their traditional allies in the G.O.P. Pressing the Biden administration to aggressively combat climate change could further alienate Republicans, who have long fought emissions regulations as “job killers” that would make American business less competitive.
Excerpt from the letter:
As business leaders, we care deeply about the future of the U.S. and the health of its people and economy. Collectively, our businesses employ nearly 6 million American workers across all 50 states, representing over $3 trillion in annual revenue, and for those of us who are investors, we represent more than $1 trillion in assets under management. We join the majority of Americans in thanking you for re-entering the U.S into the Paris Agreement and for making climate action a vital pillar of your presidency. To restore the standing of the U.S. as a global leader, we need to address the climate crisis at the pace and scale it demands. Specifically, the U.S. must adopt an emissions reduction target that will place the country on a credible pathway to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
We, therefore, call on you to adopt the ambitious and attainable target of cutting GHG emissions by at least 50% below 2005 levels by 2030.
A bold 2030 target is needed to catalyze a zero-emissions future, spur a robust economic recovery, create millions of well-paying jobs, and allow the U.S. to “build back better” from the pandemic. New investment in clean energy, energy efficiency, and clean transportation can build a strong, more equitable, and more inclusive American economy. A 2030 target will also guide the U.S. government’s approach to more sustainable and resilient infrastructure, zero-emissions vehicles and buildings, improved agricultural practices, and durable carbon removal. Finally, the commitment would inspire other industrialized nations to set bold targets of their own.

#1 At Ease with Coleman Hawkins (Coleman Hawkins, 1960) Moodsville

#2 The Many Faces of Art Farmer (Art Farmer, 1964) Scepter

#3 Booker Little (Booker Little, 1960) Time Records

#4 Jeru (Gerry Mulligan, 1962) Columbia

#5 Lucky Is Back! (Then, So Is Love) (Lucky Thompson, 1965) Rivoli

#6 Clarinescapade (Bobby Jaspar Quartet & Quintet, 1957) Fresh Sound

#7 Giant Steps (John Coltrane, 1959) Atlantic
Obra maestra absoluta.

#8 Collector's Items (Miles Davis, 1956) Prestige

#9 The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery (Wes Montgomery, 1960) Riverside/OJC

#10 Saxophone Colossus (Sonny Rollins, 1956) Prestige
