As much as I like an Oga getting flustered over his feelings for Furuichi, I can also see him quietly waiting for Furuichi to make the first move.

Oga is the type of person who shows his feelings through actions, but he’s also the type who won’t take action if he feels it won’t result in anything. Furuichi is very outspoken about liking girls so I can see Oga interpreting that as Furuichi having zero interest in him and therefore there’s no point in Oga making his feelings known.

But in doing so, he also comes across as having zero interest and since Oga is very squeamish about romance, Furuichi would probably avoid making the first move so as not to make Oga uncomfortable and drive him away.

Two homo rat bastards but one of them has hetcomp as big as the sun and the other is some flavor of ace but doesn't know how to process it so he just assumes he's aroace and internally freaks out when he day dreams about wanting to hold hands with his childhood best friend.

I can't recall if I posted this before, but I was just reminded of it: One thing that I kind of miss with the switch from Fanfiction.net to Archive of Our Own is that we don't get cover art for stories anymore. It makes sense; there's a lot of cost, there's whole new areas of copyright issues, most of them are just screenshots or promo pictures or stolen canary with some photoshop effects.

But it's so much fun to design ones that do something more. I liked the small size; that meant I could try to do something that was almost like a custom emoji or similar.

Here are the ones I made back in the day.

(The first two are Beelzebub, an anime and manga that was kind of neat. Imagine Spy X Family, but with delinquent teenagers and demons. The final one is Steins;Gate. I never wrote a fanfic for that, I just had too much fun designing this thing.)

Are these perfect? No, absolutely not. But I had a lot of fun with them, and I kind of miss that. I've been thinking about doing one for Miraculous Ladybug for literally four years now, but never bothered, because even though I cross-post to FF.net sometimes, I don't really care about that site anymore.

(I am vaguely aware that there's a site called Wattpad that may also have similar cover art, but I've not yet heard of any reason to check it out.)
