GOOD MORNING it is 9:24 and I've just achieved sitting up in bed

I've been awake since 5AM.

Today's is my husband's DnD game night, which means his players will be over, and none of them are quiet. I have issues* with sleeping in a room with a closed door, so that's not an option.

I opt for staying up and waiting until they've gone.

That was at 9PM. They didn't leave until after 11PM, and it's nearly midnight.

Husband noticed my grumpiness and impatience, and immediately checked the time. Zero argument, just apologized, and wouldn't let me apologize for my react to basically everything.

There was a large cellar spider, legs stretching beyond the palm of my hand, working on making a spiderweb between the ceiling and bedroom door. I have zero chance of reaching it without a ladder, so off I go to ask his help. Even tell him why. Takes him over 10 minutes to come help me, and he springs into "oh, shit" and takes care of the issue. He was a bit put off by my tone until he saw the time...and dark circles around my eyes.

I have two modes to needing sleep.

Cuddle Bunny - I just wanna cuddle and snuggle, which only happens when sleepy.

Tired Grumpy - I'm unpleasant, impatient, snap at everything, because I'm tired and getting near sleep deprivation.

I'm Number 2 right now. What's got me so bitchy is the fact that I rarely sleep past 5AM. Cacoa comes in yelling and yowling because she's convinced starvation is having to her. She's loud and I'm a light af sleeper. If she starts before 5AM, she gets locked out of the bedroom. Light coming through the barries next to the a/c makes the space tolerable for thr door being cut.

Fuck, I hope she lets me sleep. I have handquilting to do tomorrow.

Changes could be coming to Winnipeg’s short-term rental regulations after city council voted to bring in new rules earlier this year.

A new report before the city’s property and development committee is recommending amendments to the city’s zoning bylaws. These changes would establish a framework for regulating short-term rentals, including establishing them as a land use under certain zoning districts.

Under the new amendments, bed and breakfasts would be included under the designation. These businesses are currently categorized as home-based businesses.

The report also states that short-term rentals will be licensed and enforced through the community safety business licensing bylaw.
