I also find people writing 13 off as being happy all the time annoying because, honestly, that's reductive for a take on the matter even if it Weren't wrong.

The implication It carries is that she sails cheerfully through life and that happiness is a solely positive trait, when in reality 13 takes glee from things that really shouldn't make a good person happy on a few occasions.

Like, they're using happiness as a descriptor to make it out that that facet of her character is flat and has no depth, when actually yes, she is actually happy and her joy is a part of her character, it's just she doesn't Only take joy in puppies and kittens and the improvement of humankind etc etc

Sometimes she's happy because she hurt somebody.
