I am very much pushing for musical Dsmp play bc I am a Musical Theatre Kid an cannot help it -BUT! Just think all the characters with their happy little songs (and a couple with the exponentially less happy songs) and Wilbur Soot, who at first sang all the songs with everyone, even started some, noticeably dropping out of a lot of songs. Let’s just showcase some of his reclusive behavior as he starts to go a little bonkers. Maybe he sings solos in the songs-or just a lines in the middle of songs-even a duet with Tommy-but he doesn’t sing anything with the ensemble or any other lead.

Until November 16th!! The stage is black. Audience can’t see anything. And there’s Wilbur Soot at the curtain of the stage when the spotlight comes on. He’s talking to someone backstage-we don’t know who. They’re trying to convince him not to do it (do what?? -audience is confused)-and he leaves them angrily (it’s never revealed who Wil was talking to. Techno? Phil? Himself? We’ll never know). Wilbur goes to down center stage; he’s kinda mumbling to himself-and then. He’s singing. This is the first we’ve heard him start a song since the starts of Pogtopia. And then-Tommy joins in. Wilbur stops singing for a second! And joins in again, and now all the cast is singing. It’s November 16th and they’re getting ready for war. (This whole song there’s a ‘heartbeat’ percussion moving the song along.).
