Leo's abysmal spice tolerance prt 2 lol

He voluntarily tries out a new spicy pizza on Hueso's menu and almost dies but gets a bunch of new followers while Hueso takes advantage of the free advertising and knows his sales will boost because it's approved by a battle nexus champion and mysterious hero. A win win.

Also leo is on a full fat dairy diet after this lmao

Battle Scars AU: Yuichi Usagi

rahhhh finally got my usagi designs for Battle Scars down!!!

Battle Scars! Yuichi- Battle Nexus Champion and Big Mama's (new) assistant. Rambunctious rebel who hates living in the shadow of his ancestor and decides to make a name for himself. Lost Love! Yuichi- Usagi from another dimension. Was trained by the late Splinter and his grandfather in order to bring balance to the world, only to fail. Seeks revenge against the turtle named 'Green.'

Being polar opposites, they tend to butt heads a lot, to the misfortune of Leo who somehow always ends up in the crossfire.

I’ve had this au in my brain for months now and only recently drew for it so I’m here to add to the pile of rise aus haha

It’s the standard separated au but my version B) - Donnie grew up with Splinter, Leo stayed with Draxum, Raph ended up at the battle nexus and Mikey was left to roam the streets of the Hidden City.

Donnie: The most mentally stable of the brothers somehow. He was raised in the sewers with splinter, and even though he did receive care, splinter still couldn’t really provide much in terms of affection. Despite that they still love each other, even if distantly. He’s chronically online. He knows every vine ever and plays fps games a lot yes I made him a gamer. He and April are extremely close in this au, having met at a young age and April being the closest thing Donnie has to a sibling until finding his brothers. Splinter also refuses to tell Donnie anything to do with mutants/yokai, or even where they came from, much to Donnie’s dismay. Without his brothers and their antics, he doesn’t get out much, and hasn’t made a battle/protective shell for himself yet.

April: She and Donnie met in early childhood and were practically inseparable, them both being only children, and they basically became each other’s annoying sibling. She’s the only reason Donnie came out of his shell (heh) and she likes to take him onto the surface streets for shenanigans.

Leo: Huguinn pulled Leo from the wreckage of Draxum’s lab and was raised in the rebuilt lab. Draxum genuinely didn’t expect the turtles to come out as literal infants after mutation so it’s a miracle Leo even survived this long lol. (Huguinn and Muninn did most of the work tbh) Draxum considers Leo to be a biproduct/fragment of a failed experiment and uses Leo more as an errand boy than anything else. Because of that Leo’s and Draxum’s relationship is also distant. Leo acts nonchalant and sarcastic for the most part, but he can’t help but want to please Draxum. Leo knows about his brothers and even tried looking for them early on, but eventually gave up. He and Donnie meet first. Also he sneaks out to get pizza at Hueso’s when he’s bored.

Raph: His and Mikey’s stories start out intertwined. They both ended up in the hidden city and lived out the early years of their lives there. When he was around 7 years old, Mikey being 5, Raph was taken as a contestant for a battle royale at the nexus, composed entirely of young yokai. (The battle nexus is quite literally a gladiator ring where contestants kill one another) Raph was taken due to his large size, and after managing to survive the battle royale, Big Mama allowed him to stay and become a fully fledged fighter at the nexus. He moved his way up in rank and became one of the top Nexus champions under the stage name, The Beast. He’s soft spoken and quick to anger at first, having received so little friendly interactions.

Mikey: He and Raph lived in the hidden city together until Raph was taken when he was around 5 years old. After that he was basically left to fend for himself. He survived via stealing and living on rooftops and alleys Aladdin style. He’s incredibly agile and a master pickpocket. He even made a name for himself in the district where he lives as the local thief. This, however, hasn’t dampened his spirits at all and he’s just as bright and bubbly as ever. He loves anything and everything to do with art and often does graffiti wherever he can. He’s an avid battle nexus fan and watches the battles whenever he can ( Leo is also a huge fan).

I’ve legitimately had this au in my head for months and this isn’t even close to everything I’ve conjured up but I had to make something for it or else I’d explode. Despite there being a lot of room for angst in this au, I imagine it as more lighthearted and similar to the show in terms of comedy. If you read this far congrats and give me your strength please

A bit of background if yall want it:

When Splinter drops Leo in the explosion, all he sees is the turtle disappear into smoke as the lab is actively collapsing. He assumed Leo died and left to make sure none of his other turtles got killed.

Draxum picked up Leo and look care of his wounds. Leo has scrapes on both sides of his shell from being stuck in the ground, along with a scar on his right arm. Draxum tried raising Leo for a few years on his own before realising it would benefit both of them if he had help, so he turned to Big Mama.

Bug Mama and her assisstant, Galileo, help raise Leo for years. Gali teaches Leo how to speak, though he still chirps quite often, especially when sad or startled.

A bit of Gali lore: Big Mama had orignally named her Leo when Draxum gave Gali to BM. Gali didn't like having that as her name, so Big Mama helped her find a new one and they settled on Galileo.

Splinter takes the boys to tour the hidden city so they're not caught off guard by mystic stuff and yokai like he was. That's when Mikey spots Leo on TV and Splinter recognizes the son he thought he lost immediatly :)

About the sword comment: I'll reveal more in the comic itself, but Leo and Draxum made a deal that if Leo could prove his strength by winning the Battle Nexus championship 5 times, he'd train Leo with the mystic sword.

How the Battle Nexus works in this au: there are always battles going on, but once during each season, a championship/tournament is held to name a champion.

This is technically Leo's 7th tournament, but 5th victory

Rise Leo is really like a Mikey you have no idea. We all know they’re all silly goofers that joke and pull pranks (Well 87 less so but still), but I’m not sure you know the extent of how similar they all are here. (someone might have already made a post like this but anyway- (will edit as I find more connections.)

Both him and and 87 Michelangelo speak the occasional Spanish in their words. And go to a pizza place whenever they’re bummed. 87! Michelangelo going to Vinnie’s Pizzeria, and for Leo, Hueso’s Run of the Mill pizza.

And Both love magic!

Also 87 Michelangelo speaks pigeon (pigeon-never gets mutated-pete below), considering that 2012 Raph also speaks pigeon, this may hint towards Rise Leo being able to talk to doves. (I am aware that with 2003 Donatello's pigeon puppet, this would create a real funny scenario.)

Both 2003 Mikey and Leo are Battle Nexus Champions and showboaters.

Also they have a bad future of themselves where they both lose an arm.

2012 Mikester wears aviators and loves unicorns. Or at least his Limited Edition Action-Kick Unicorn Man

(RIP Unicorn Man, at least you’re fine in your next episode.)

And they were both trapped in Krang dimensions and left permanently traumatized!

first up: Life Mission: Save My Brothers (Comic) 🌟

"Life Mission: Save My Brothers" is a Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles separated AU (alternate universe) where it explores on the concept that Splinter saved only one turtle after the mutation process: Leo. The other turtles are separated in the world: Raph was brought to and raised by Big Mama to be a Battle Nexus Champion, Mikey was taken by Draxum and trained to become a warrior to combat humans for the Yokai to take over the surface, and Donnie was thought to be dead but was taken in by a mob until he ran away and found Big Mama at the age of 7. Their story involves their process of finding out that they are not alone, that they have family, and how they reunite and become the ninjas they were always meant to be.

15 years into the Krang invasion and everything is going south: food was running low, everyone had to take multiple shifts in multiple jobs, and almost everyone is missing a family member. Mikey's mystic powers haven't developed fully and Donnie's and Leo's were dwindling. There was one way to regain that power, one way to turn the tide to their favor, and, possibly, save the twins' bond.

The cost? Silence.

Pieces of Home 🌊

"Pieces of Home" is an original TMNT iteration where Donnie is the oldest, followed by his twin Raph, their middle sibling Mikey, the youngest turtle Leo, and their little sister April. The turtles were all once human and lived a happy, normal life until one day, a mysterious person cursed them with a green, magical liquid that burnt away their human bodies and mutated them to half turtles. Their father, Splinter, was mutated to a rat and his husband was never seen since. 12 years later, Leo ventures to the surface despite his oldest brother's wishes and finds secrets about his other father. Their journey begins when they discover who he was and when they receive gifts he left them.

Something that I think is kind of funny is that during the episode 'Battle Nexus New York', when Big Mama reveals her plans, Leo has to ask at least twice if his siblings were involved somehow.

Leo: Uh, we didn't sign up for this. Did April sign us up for this?

Leo: Donnie, what did you do?

Something that I kind of noticed was during the episode 'Battle Nexus New York' when the Turtles first encounter an empty New York, Leo asks if Donnie did something & when Big Mama tells the Turtles to battle her Nexus Champions Leo then asks if April was involved somehow which possibly means that Leo might have gotten involved in so many situations due to his siblings shenanigans that one of his first instincts is to wonder if they where involved somehow now.
