Prayer to Ares for the Safety of a Soldier
Bold-hearted Ares, bright-helmed son of thundering Zeus and noble Hera, well-honored god of war, any battle will you face, any foe will you fight, without fear and without hestitation. Ares, god of warriors, ally of those who risk their lives on the field, to you do soldiers offer their prayers. You know each one’s name, O Ares, you know their lives, you know their worth. Great Ares, I pray to you, watch over ____________ who heeded your call, who practices your art, whose name you know well, for s/he is one of your own who does you honor with each day s/he serves. Ares, I pray to you.
In general
Bright-helmed Ares, strong of arm and stern of visage, firm of stance, unyielding of will, ever ready to face any foe, to hold the line against all who may come, to battle until the end. Ares, son of noble Zeus and wise Hera, cherished by golden Aphrodite, honored by those who call on you for strength and courage, in the north were you much honored in times of old, in Thrace and Thessaly were you held in esteem by those whose lives were harsh, whose world was stony, whose comforts were hard-won. Ares who answers the prayers of the despairing, I honor you
For Courage
Ares, fierce-hearted son of Zeus and noble Hera, full-famed you are as god of war. To you do soldiers pray when battle is most heated, when mettle is most needed. To you as well do we turn in desperate times, to you do we call for strength, for the spirit to endure. You understand the terror of struggle and strife, you confront it in every way. Ares, your courage is unquestioned, your might and your prowess unequaled. Ares, friend to those in direst need, I pray to you, grant me the nerve to face what must be faced, grant me the will to do what must be done, grant me the heart to forge ahead.

I have a silly question. Out of all your ocs who would probably try to kill you if your stuck with them in a room for 24 hours. If so how would it happened and why?
Hazel would immediately shoot me in the head (he doesn’t want to deal with a big mess) if I was being even slightly annoying that man does NOT give a shit he needs his peace and quiet 💖
Basil would probably deal with my bullshit unless I made fun of his family or friends then he would probably tear me limb from limb with his many swords and daggers he has ☠️☠️☠️
Bandit WOULDNT kill me (he’s a thief, not a murderer) he’d just make me feel really bad about myself and be really fucking mean to me, he’d also steal my wallet and spit on me. I think I’d rather be killed :(
Victor would try and kill me with his little kitty claws no matter what I did (he likes killing for sport) but he’s a small cat so like. I could probably just kick him. But then I’d die from the many diseases he has :(
Lint would kill me the instant I look at him wrong, which is a big possibility, he’d probably tear out my eyes and then rip out my heart, he’d purposely make me feel as much pain someone could handle. he’s super nice if you couldn’t tell /j

Bonus Round Finals! Basal Eudicots vs Asterids!
🌻 vs 🪷
Basal Eudicots: Here be funky flowers: the sacred lotus, poppies, the king protea of South Africa and the waratah of Australia. Also, macademia nuts.
Asterids: Down to earth, practical, and here to mess you up. The clade of potatoes, olive oil, coffee, dandelions, tobacco, and poison hemlock. RIP Socrates.
(Edit: Basal Eudicots with an A, not with an I, nothing to do with basil -- basil is in the asterids, actually -- OOPS guess I should have checked for typos before posting.)
#asterids#basal eudicots#plant taxonomy showdown#battle of the plants#bonus round finals#bonus round#plant bracket#tumblr bracket#bracket tournament#poll bracket#at least I set the poll to one week#my worst fear is I'll post one of these accidentally set to one day
