not to descendants post but it's crazy to me people are still looking at the core four like "you should have saved and liberated the entire isle within a month of being in auradon" girl what. how much power do people realistically think they had over auradon for them to do this without being evil about it (which y'all also hate)

ok I don't think we as a fandom talk about the way Vash cries blood enough
we only see it once or twice from what I remember, the one definite time being here ^ when the puppet attack first begins & he's dealing with the emotional agony of seeing so many of his family turn into puppets.
so it's clearly something that comes out only when he's in severe emotional distress.
the interesting thing is that Wolfwood is fucking TERRIFIED of him bc of it.
whatever this moment is, Vash is giving off the same sort of oppressive energy that Wolfwood's experienced with Knives. it's the first time during their travels that he's really been forced to recognize What Vash Is. he knew it of course, saw him in Jeneora, but he's such a goofy guy it's easy to forget.
but whatever Vash is doing here, it makes Wolfwood Incredibly aware of what he is.
so the real question i think is What exactly is going on here? is it unintentional? is it simply a response to the emotional agony?
Vash isn't the type to indiscriminately terrify everyone in the vicinity on purpose. he wouldn't be doing this purposefully out of anger while Wolfwood's there. no, in this moment, he's not even angry at all. he's Distraught.
going from This
to this
in just a moment.
yeah. that's some fucking emotional agony. i dont think Vash is doing this entirely on purpose.
but THEN...
as both Leonof and Wolfwood stare at him in fear, Both feeling his oppressive energy, Vash then lets out some sort of blast that blows against everything between him and Leonof. it doesn't destroy anything, doesn't even injure him, but it's a physically tangible effect that scares the Shit out of Leonof & spurs him into motion.
there may be some anger involved in this moment, but it's not the hair-trigger rage you would expect from seeing his family turned into puppets. it's something Quiet, something almost cold. he's distraught, Resigned, & retaliating just because he has to.
Vash hates all of this. he doesn't want to fight him. he fucking Knows this guy too, knew him as a kid, & none of this makes sense. but he knows that he needs to fight him, & doesn't have any kind of choice.
but he's not happy about it. not in the slightest.

what we have become
gen | teen wolf | concept
It hits him while he’s washing his face.
Scott is just. There, in the bathroom, in front of the sink. There’s bits of kelpie gunk on the sides of the sink from where he’s rubbed his face to get rid of it. Scott looks at it and can barely find it in himself to feel disgust, let alone guilt. His face is wet, water droplets rolling down his cheeks and onto his chin like tears.
He looks at his reflection and he doesn’t recognize the person looking back. It’s weird, because Scott remembers looking at himself yesterday just like he’s doing now, and he knew exactly who he was. Now… the person staring back is a stranger wearing his face. He has the same hair, the same jawline, the same eyes. But no matter how similar, whoever it is that is looking back at him is unknown.
The person looking back at him hurts people. The person looking back at him is selfish. The person looking back betrays, and uses, and is so, so cruel. Scott has said and done things that should horrify him, that would have horrified him a year ago. He said a family deserved to die in a fire. He violated a person’s autonomy. He was ready to kill a man because it benefited him. He left his best friend, his brother, to fight by himself so many times because he was too busy with a girl.
It scares him. It scares the hell out of him because Scott thought he’d be the kind of person who makes good choices in tough situations. He thought he wouldn’t change if he were to get power, and responsibilities. He thought he would still be kind.
But tonight he killed that kelpie without so much as hesitating. He saw it, and he lunged for it before he could even comprehend what he was doing. And yeah, the kelpie had been killing people, but Scott— Scott’s supposed to be better than that. He’s supposed to be the good one.
Derek had looked surprised. Concerned, even. Stiles had called out to him almost hesitantly, had stopped before his hand couch touch Scotts shoulder. Scott hadn’t understood why until now.
What has he become?
(A monster, his mind whispers. And really, can Scott truly refute it?)
A look into what Scott could have been, had his character arc to become a true alpha in s3 been different.
Thanks to @darling-winnie for finally pushing me to write this, our conversation about Scott was really helpful! And of course thanks to the wonderful @oldefashioned for reading this over and encouraging me that it’s not trash lol

honestly what kills you as a seeking-/post-bottom surgery trans in the online transmasc community isn't even the open disgust people have for your body or how quick they are to spread misinformation bc mysteriously their trans sex positivity only applies to transition they personally want/are attracted to. like yeah that stuff hurts, the fact that every couple months a post about how it's TOTALLY FINE to be grossed out by my body and assuring trans guys NOBODY wants to look like me gets 10k notes sucks, but that's actually a minority of the problem. the killer is that disgust towards bottom surgery is SO normalized that, in general, people just assume that no post-op people exist in transmasc spaces, if they think about them at all. you're just left out of everything by default.
jokes? sorry, every transmasc joke assumes you have a boypussy and menstruate and the only surgery you've ever had is top surgery and if bottom surgery does crop up it's a joke about how you'd never get it. sucks to suck! fictional representation? no post-op characters exist and in fact any characters that mention their junk specify that they're non-op just in case you were worried about that. sucks to suck! fictional character headcanons? i mean, sometimes you could imagine that the shapeshifting characters might change genitals...? the medieval fantasy characters DO get top surgery scars though, so really it's just an excuse not to have to think about how gross bottom surgery is even if you acknowledge the desire to swap your junk. sucks to suck! positivity posts? nope, even ones specific to surgery don't bother to acknowledge anything below the waist. sucks to suck! discussions of transmasc sexuality? hahahahaha yeah no, those are even more inaccessible to anyone without a boycunt. sucks to suck! discourse about obstacles to transmasc transition? nope, again, that just removes the possibility that people could care about you since not mentioning you in this context means they definitely just aren't thinking about it at all. sucks to suck! discourse specifically about bottom surgery? congrats, people acknowlege you...... as a 3rd party who can't possibly be present and definitely fits into the .01 x .01 inch box they have in their heads of the Cis-Passing Binary Transsexual Male who only wants to get bottom surgery to lick cis boots, and "discourse" is kind of a misnomer because in reality what that means is "discourse about how gross it is that people think me, a trans man, might have gotten bottom surgery". sucks to suck!
naturally i need to add a million disclaimers about how i don't think transmascs who don't want bottom surgery are any less trans than i am(true) or that transmascs who don't get bottom surgery face as much transphobia as i do (so true bestie) and i'm saying this as a reflection of my own personal experiences even though i'm sure you personally have nothing against us genital-mutilators. that same grace has never once been extended to me though so i will be cranky about it.

If you were Nine and could steal Nine quirks what would they be?
For the sake of this, I'm assuming I have copies of the Quirks and don't need to hunt them down. I'm also throwing in another Quirk to work as my original Quirk, similar to Nine's "Weather Manipulation". Even if this was a situation where I was trapped in his body or something, I'd drop that Quirk as fast as possible. And while I could go for overpowered Quirks like "Overclock" or "Overhaul", I'd rather go for the simple powers with high synergy that often define the arsenal of "All For One" users.
Super Regeneration: I mean, what is any kind of combination of Quirks like this without "Super Regeneration"? While it doesn't have any amazing combination potential, it's good insurance that I'd be a fool to pass up as my main power.
Glamour: While this doesn't have the most synergy with other Quirks, I do believe that it is useful enough on its own to warrant a spot. Long-range audio and visual illusions are really useful for undermining people and controlling the battlefield.
Muscle Augmentation: An amazingly simple power that can cover a lot of the basic physical enhancements, so I don't need to waste space on them. Plus, with "Super Regeneration", it can do away with one of the biggest weaknesses of the Quirk.
Barrier: Like "Glamour", it doesn't offer the most robust amount of synergy, but it's still a good option to have. It's amazing for defense, and I wouldn't have to rely on other people in order to deal damage, nor would I need to be as stationary with it.
Black Whip: The sheer utility of this Quirk is immense, effectively acting as a form of telekinesis with some extra ribbons, which is simply enough to work with other choices like combining it with "Muscle Augmentation" to enhance the muscle fibers of it or working to help "Super Regeneration" stitch things back together.
Transforming Arms: Having such an extensive amount of control over your physical form opens up so many opportunities for form and combinations, both with the arms themselves and with other Quirks, like making super weapons with "Muscle Augmentation and reducing the risk of usage with "Super Regeneration".
Gyrate: This does offer some decent offense and defense, but it's more of a platform to combine with other powers, like massively amplify their speed and damage with "Muscle Augmentation" and use it as a reliable way of flight, or use it to increase the reach and pulling power of "Black Whip", or extend the spinning defense to "Barrier".
Clones: While I don't believe that the clones would have the other Quirks, they are still great in terms of scouting and information gathering given the hive mind. I'd like to see how it could combine with other Quirks, like using "Glamour" to make the clones look like other people or "Transforming Arms" to grant them new physical forms.
Elasticity: This grants me some amazing battlefield control and mobility options, but it'd better to have to combine with other Quirks, like giving elastic properties to things like "Barrier" to alter the shield's shape or "Black Whip" to grant it greater flexibility. Maybe even spreading effects through whatever the user makes elastic, like making things twist with "Gyrate".
Rifle: This is about as simple as it gets. It's a gun that is capable of dealing a lot of damage. Its beauty is in its simplicity though because I can change it so easily with the other Quirks. Bullets that work as hallucinogens, changing into other kinds of guns, bullets that bounce around on contact, and supercharged shots with the rifle. There's a lot of potential in it.

Loid constantly worrying whether Albrecht actually, genuinely cares about him vs Albrecht constantly worrying that if he slips up even a little bit something terrible will happen to Loid so he has to make sure Loid is always an arm's reach away

🥺hope this doesn’t come across as weird but I remember I’ve seen posts before and you have tattoos. Any tips for a newbie getting a tattoo?
hey not weird at all! it's true I don't like talking about my tattoos very much but I'll say, have a good think before getting your first one, and really WAIT (like a good few months, maybe a year) before even thinking about getting another one because it can be a slippery slope

I find it amazing how people think that Cinder would be able to survive keeping the Grimm Arm.
It is slowly killing her, a visualization of how self-destructive her lust for power is.
If she's going to get a Kylo Ren-esque redemption arc where she completely escapes the consequences of her actions, then she's going to HAVE to get rid of the Grimm Arm in order to actually live to the end of the series.
I know. There is a damn reason it is paralleled with Yang's prosthetic arm: it's not hers. It's Salem's. It's a literal parasite digging into her body and slowly eating her, it's being used as a way for Salem to control her, it was probably grafted onto her before she was conscious enough to say no, and it's almost certainly fueling her addiction to magic through its own hunger. Yang's arm is painted in her colors and she modified it and it's hers. Cinder just has a parasite in the shape of an arm which is treating her like a host and convincing her she needs it. Yang's arm accepts her Aura, and the Grimm arm repels Cinder's. It is not part of her.
If she wants to be free, truly free, that arm has to be gone. The only question is whether she'll be strong enough to claim her own agency and let Ruby burn it off, even knowing the consequences, or continue to chase a false feeling of power right up until Salem quits needing her and takes the Maiden magic for herself. Even before the arm, there was the bug, because Salem would never let Cinder have power that she couldn't take away. "It's unfortunate that you were promised a power that was never truly yours", indeed.
