Evensong//Para

Ella sat outside on the beach on a blanket, looking up at the sky while her new phone played “Evensong” by The Innocence Mission. She thought about her time at school, about her time in Barbados, about her major, her parents; Many things. She even began to think about a certain-,.. Well, that’s a lie. She thought about two certain boys, one she had a tender fondness for and the other she tried her hardest to figure out yet just couldn’t. The blonde (yes, she was back to her original golden roots instead of her mahogany ones) hadn’t talked to the latter one in some time, which began to lead to assumptions that she believes to be true.

She took another drink of her strawberry daiquiri, trying to clear those thoughts away. She’s in paradise and the past should be left in the past, for Heaven’s sake. The young Glass girl should focus on other things- like her new job that she’ll be starting, as a wonderful example. Like the new program she joined, and the two new classes that she also attending to soon. And her new blog, of course. Focus on the future is her new motto.

Aquata emerged from the water, gasping for air and then grinned, “See...” She took a breath and chuckled. “Told you, five and a half minutes underwater on the dot before my lungs are screaming for air. Don’t try it at home or ever, though. I’m just an anomaly.”

@shayshock-lock  “Soft sand is good sand.” His head was spinning but Matt could feel a certain nod moving it. After the kiss, it was as if he were in a haze he did not want to come down from. With every step they took towards the beach, it felt like a dizzy dance both him and Shay were slowly getting used to. He looked around at the empty, dark beach and sighed in relief. “There’s lots of sand here.”

Oscar sighed as he sprawled out in a cool shady spot. Sure, he loved summer, most Minnesotans did. But, the heat and weather here was rather excessive. Turning his head, he reached out for his drink. “You know, sometimes, on days like this, I miss winter in Minnesota.”

Putting her phone in one of the many pockets of her purse, Ariel dashed to the hotel’s front, her head turning around to every direction. She’d never had the chance of doing skydiving and now that it was so close, she could almost feel the air hit her face...or maybe it was just the AC at the hotel’s reception. At the sight of a familiar blonde head, she lowered her sunglasses to make sure it was her friend. Seizing the opportunity, she slowly made her way up to Elsa’s back, putting both her hands over the older girl’s eyes. “Guess who!”
