as i prepare for the biggest band competition circuit I’ll even participate in [i’ve already performed in it twice in the past years] I’d like to say:

this is also my last time doing this comp and it’s at a college sized football field but the cool thing is that the costume changes make it look like a sailor moon transformation with the normal uniform, then colorful comp top then a new traditional uniform

Marching band comps = stupid(maybe)

recently, I went to my first boa competition for marching band.

The way that they do their class size is lowkey unfair. Insted of being based on band size, it's based off of school enrolment size. While there is some parrallel with bigger bands, there can be a huge band with a small school, or a huge school with a small band. it's unfair to all those bands with wierd enrollment ratios to band memebers.
