Es ist kaum noch ertragbar. Erst Jörn von N8O und jetzt auch noch Markus, mit dem ich jahrelang bei der NDH-Band Scharfrichter gespielt habe. Ich erfuhr schon recht früh, dass er gesundheitliche Probleme hatte und wollte ihn eigentlich noch als DJ auf seiner Hochzeitsfeier bespaßen, als er mit Angela eine neue Liebe fand. Unvergessen sind etliche Auftritte auf seinem Geburtstag, wo wir oft in seinem Hobbykeller nächtigten und wild über das Leben diskutierten. Aber auch das Rocktoberfest in Rees bleibt im Schädel oder das THW-Fest, wo die Electric Callboys als Teenager in der ersten Reihe standen. Zuletzt haben wir sogar darüber nachgedacht, Scharfrichter-Songs zumindest nochmal für die Nachwelt aufzunehmen. Vielleicht wird das ja mit dem Original-Basser irgendwann noch passieren, bevor wir alle ins Gras beißen. Scheiße, dass die, die Leben wollen, sterben, und andere, die die Schnauze schon lange voll haben, zu diesem Leben verdammt werden. Euer sogenannter Gott ist ein perverser, sadistischer Wichser.

The whistle blew and you and your friends let out a sigh of relief. Dortmund was still in the title race after this 2-1 win, with Jude scoring the winning goal.

“That man could bring me to this knees with just that arm band, dunno how you’re still functioning Y/N.” Heidi, your best friend, whispered.

You laughed at Heidi’s antics with Lexi, Gio Reyna’s girlfriend.

And the raise of her eyebrows at you meant that she was telling you the man was interested in you.

So you were not surprised at all when the man, with an even wider smirk, turned to you and held his hand out as an introduction. With everyone watching you opted to be polite and went into shake his hand.

However, he instead took it and brought it up to his lips, still smirking. You quickly pulled your hand away and shot him an annoyed look.

“Listen. My name’s Christian, I work for Frankfurt. Wanted to know if you were interested in grabbing a coffee then heading back to my place.” He gave you a sickening smile.

This man was forward.

And with that, Christian was gone.

You nodded, twisting your head to make eye contact with him.

“I could’ve dealt with him Judekins. Or at least Heidi could have.” You gave him a teasing smile.

“Yeah but where’s the fun in that? I like being able to show people that you’re mine.” Jude winked at you.

You were about to kiss him when you were interrupted by huffing and puffing. You and Jude looked forward to see Karim panting and Heidi smirking.

“How. Do you run so fast?” Karin barely managed to get out.

“Karim mean freund, it’s a talent.” Heidi winked, scanning her nails.

“Heidi beat you in a foot race.” You stated knowingly.

Karim’s breathing had steadied by now.

Hi. I have a question 🙂 You must have been to many concerts of diru. At least that's the impression I get from Your posts and replies. You probably also attended VIP meetings. Besides, I already asked You about them and You helped me understand what they look like. You wrote that diru wouldn't be able to keep any of the gifts because of their luggage. Yes You are right. I see. But I would like to ask if they would accept the letter? Do You have such experience? Have You seen that they keep letters, cards, something similar from fans during the meeting? I would really like to write a letter. I think I need to get my emotions out. I apologise for the delay in answering your question. I was actively seeking an answer directly from the band, but while they swiftly replied to my email, they redirected me to their European management group, Twisted Talent. I sent two chasers, even calling them once in Dortmund only to land on some dude's voicemail, but alas, I don't have an official answer.

To be fair, I haven't attended many VIP Meet & Greets myself, and it certainly has been a decade. Based on my experience, the band members turned to either a manager or the translator to have someone explain to the fan that they coud not accept their gift.

I'm not sure why the band would defer to their overseas management to determine if gifts of any kind would be accepted...

Anyway, I encourage you to try to contact Twisted Talent yourself. Hopefully somebody will provide an official answer before March.

1944 02 10 Storm Chasers - Nicolas Trudgian

Even the most faithful of Me109 pilots that also flew the Focke-Wulf Fw190 grudgingly admitted the well-proportioned  Fw190 was the finest single-seat fighter in the Luftwaffe’s armory during World War II.  Soon after its arrival on the Channel Front in 1941, when initial bugs were ironed out, this superb fighter came close to fighter design perfection by the standards of the day.  Just as the Mark IX Spitfire held the mantle as Britain’s most outstanding combat fighter of the war, so was the Fw190 regarded by experienced Luftwaffe pilots.  Within months of its operational debut the Fw190 was causing widespread consternation among RAF pilots, the new fighter equal to the Mk IX Spitfire in all but its ability in the tightest of turning circles.

By 1944 the technically superb Fw190 came into its own in the great air battles against the USAAF’s massed daylight raids.  The defense of the Reich’s western airspace rested on the shoulders of a few Jagdgschwarden who, against steadily increasing odds, were tasked with interception and destruction of the attacking American heavy bombers.  Flying alongside the two established Channel fighter wings JG2 “Richtofen” and JG26 “Schlageter,” equipped with Fw190s and led by the great fighter ace Oberst Walter Oesau, JG1 joined the battle in defense of Northern Germany.

Nicolas Trudgian’s painting Storm Chasers depicts the Fw190A’s of I./JG1, distinguished by their distinctive black and white striped cowls, scrambling from the snow-covered Dortmund airfield on February 10th, 1944 to intercept another inbound American daylight raid.  Nick’s dramatic view of this technically supreme fighter conveys its true class as it hurtles over the airfield, its undercarriage retracting as the Fw190 accelerates into the climb.  Below, sharing the airfield with I./JG1 are the Fw190s of the newly formed Sturmstaffel 1, identified by their black-white-black tail bands, seen taxiing out to join in the interception.  Despite bad weather conditions the Luftwaffe’s defending fighters scored heavily that day, inflicting severe losses on the Americans, claiming 29 bombs and 8 fighters shot down in the action.

The Unchained Djangos@Zahl was du willst, Kulturzentrum Balou Brackel, 23.02.2024

Ein super Format in Dortmund-Brackel möchte ich hier gerne empfehlen, denn mit "Zahl was du willst" gibt es eine Reihe mit guten Bands und Künstlern, die für eingeworfenes Geld in Spendendosen spielen. An diesem Abend war es sehr exquisit, denn "The Unchained Djangos" spielten Songs aus Tarantino-Filmen. Dabei waren auch keine Nichtskönner auf der Bühne, sondern man riss förmlich das Publikum mit. Das erste Set endete nach etwa 40 Minuten und es wurde ein Querschnitt von Songs aus Filmen wie "Kill Bill", "Django Unchained" oder "Pulp Fiction" dargeboten. Highlight war noch ein gesanglich unterstützer Song mit Laura Gebauer vom Trio Randale, die auch noch für zwei weitere Songs, u.a. einer geilen Fassung von "After Dark" aus "From Dusk Till Dawn", herangezogen wurde. Von Surf Rock, Jazzelementen und Funk kam hier jeder auf seine Kosten. Dazu tolle Soli des Trompeters Dimitri Telmanov und Wim Wollner am Saxophon, den ich wohl auch noch von der Police-Coverband Regatta de Blanc kenne und die demnächst auch dort spielen. Das doch sehr reife Publikum war durchaus begeistert und ich wunderte mich fast, dass nicht auch junge Menschen zu sowas hingehen. Eine hübsche rothaarige Frau lud mich auf ein Bier ein und es gab nochmal 40 Minuten mit Zugabe. Großartig. "Chick Habit" mit Lauras Gesang wurde dann als Zugabe nochmal vorgetragen, weil die Leute nicht genug bekommen haben und es gab Standing Ovations.

Dortmund Deathfest@JunkYard, 02.+03.08.2024

Obwohl mir schon der Kackstift ging, da ich mich nach der Arbeit auf eine einigermaßen pünktliche Bahn verließ, habe ich es doch geschafft zu Massacre und hätte mich auch noch an den jakas ergötzt, wäre die Halle nicht derart voll, dass man sich kaum reinzwängen konnte. Zumindest sagten die, die da waren, dass die Jakas wieder ordentlich gerockt haben. Aber legen wir den Fokus doch auf Massacre, die mit komplett neuem Line-Up (bis auf einen etwas fülliger gewordenen Frontmann Kam Lee) 33 Jahre "From Beyond" zelebrierten. Ein Album, das ich als eins der Meisterwerke der Death-Metal-Szene ansehe. Und bei dem Ansturm von - auch jüngeren - Fans scheine ich mit dieser Meinung auch nicht alleine dazustehen. Es wurde also gnadenlos das Album durchgespielt und die erste Reihe, in der auch ich stand, deutlich begeistert. Anschließend noch den neuen Gitarristen getroffen, der ein wenig angepisst war, dass die Klampfe mal zwischendurch ausfiel. Wir fanden es trotzdem geil, und die Besucher kamen auch aus der ganzen Welt. So sagte bspw. eine Frau aus New England, dass sie für Konzerte schon durch ganz Europa gejettet sei, es ihr hier aber am besten gefiel. Juhu, endlich mal ein Lob an die Homebase. Während ich mir dann die äußerlich gealterten Incantation zu Gemüt führte, fiel mir zuerst die Dekadenz eines Prpgrammheftes ins Auge. Zu Blood Red Throne, die ich jedoch schon letztes Jahr positiv mitgenommen habe, war ich diesmal zu spät. Jenny und Seb von Metal Tremonia schwärmten jedoch sichtlich. Nicht nur über die tolle Musik, sondern auch die Hilfe durch JunkYard-Mitarbeiter bei einem Ladies-Problem. Auch Skeletal Remains haben schon früh für Stimmung gesorgt. Punkt 22 Uhr beendeten Black Dahlia Murder den Abend bis auf eine Grindcore-Band indoor, die nochmal für die ganz Verrückten loslegte. Habe BDM kaum als Headliner eingestuft, wie es auch am nächsten Tag bei Terrorizer der Fall war, aber die waren doch überraschend gut, wenngleich die echten Higlights an beiden Tagen bereits um 17 Uhr auf der Bühne standen. Viele meckerten ohnehin über das nicht so tolle Line-Up im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Somit hatte ich am Folgetag auch am meisten Spaß bei Memoriam, der Band von Karl von Bolt Thrower und Frank von Benediction. Mit supercoolen Moves und Schuhen, die ein wenig aussahen, als hätten sie darauf abgespritzt, waren auch Cumbeast aus Finnland ein Hingucker. Suffocation waren auch ganz gut, aber haben einen auch nicht vom Hocker gerissen. Bei Gut Rectomy wurde mit Schwimmnudeln im Kreis gerannt, was meine Begleitung simpel mit "De-Evolution" betitelte und Terrorizer hatten leider einen dumpfen Sound, aber auch Jesse hat gefehlt. Dennoch ein übelst geiles Festival, auf das man sich auch im nächsten Jahr wieder freuen kann. Der Eintrittspreis ist speziell an der AK gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber es macht Spaß!

Croatia NT - because they achieved so much those past 5 years, yes I know they like to move games to penalties and play with our nerves, but I still feel like I am part of their family like other Croatia NT fans :)

Russia NT - because I simply like Russian people and I am half one, so I really fell in love with that team. They played so well during the WC in 2018 and during WC qualifiers. I was literally so miserable when I found out they will not be able to participate in Qatar

Serbia NT - idk I love them simply because they are our neighbours and I always love supporting my neighbours during EURO and WC

(Wow wut a hard question I have asked myself) Livakovic obviously. I know he was being kept on a bench, but I always knew he would be a great goalkeeper, he is our number 1 and very important member of the National Team, yet I didn't post stuff about him at all because I didn't have Tumblr, I was a dumb kid lmfao- but yeah, I can talk about him 'till I die, so yeah I am moving to the next question before I go too far

Hell no I don't. First of all; I am very anti-social person (tho there is exclusion when it comes to going on matches I love rooting with other peeps), Second of all; I have very low self-esteem, Third of all; I wanted to be a goalkeeper, but I was always afraid to get goals bc people often get mad at me, fuck them

Favorite clubs?

Dinamo Zagreb - I've been following this club since 2018 after the end of WC in 2018 mainly because of Livi, I love that guy sm he is precious, but the love of this club has grown in 2021 because of its success in Europa League.

Man City - Kova plays in City and he is literally my 2nd fav football player, and one of my best friends roots for City so here we are 👌

Borussia Dortmund - Idk I just love them so much, their mascot is so cute, the club has gotten my hear for some reason 😭
