“Bam, seriously, you couldn’t have told me we were throwing a party, I don’t know, before the party is supposed to start?” You asked incredulously at your roommate who was tidying up the kitchen.
“I forgot…” He grimaced, putting away some of our more fragile items.
“Forgot? We went costume shopping together. That would’ve been a great time to tell me. Or maybe even this morning would have been the least you could’ve done. Not literally minutes before your friends are going to arrive–”
“They’re your friends too.” He interrupted, frowning. You had met your roommate’s friends on several occasions but still didn’t like to claim them as friends of your own out of respect. You didn’t want BamBam to think you were trying to steal his friends, and you didn’t want anyone inviting you places out of obligation or pity. So, instead, you often distanced yourself. BamBam hated that.
Especially because BamBam had been not only trying to incorporate you into the friend group since you both began living together, but also because he had been trying to figure out how to tell you for months that he had an embarrassingly large crush on you.
“Go get ready. I’ll finish cleaning and setting up.” He said, shooing you off.
🎃
You didn’t emerge for another hour. It hadn’t taken you that long to get ready, though. Your costume was a simple dotted dress, puppy ears, and black and white makeup. You elected not to wear the collar that you bought as a joke. BamBam had wanted to wear matching costumes this year but also really wanted to gender-bend Cruella de Vil, so you offered to be a dalmatian.
The party was definitely in full swing by now, made quite obvious from the music and loud talking heard through the thin walls of your shared house, but you had not worked up the courage to emerge from the safety of your room. You had no doubts, however, that if you took any longer, your energetic roommate would come drag you from your confines.
So you quietly snuck from your room to the kitchen, needing to have something in hand while you braved the actual party, whether that be snacks or alcohol.
When you did finally make your way out into the living room, you realized just how much effort BamBam had put into this party.
He had really gone all out, which of course he had, and many in attendance had matched his energy with their costumes. As you searched for your costume partner, your eyes roamed the attendees, picking out your favorite costumes among the faces that were familiar to you.
On one of your couches, Taehyung dressed as a robot sat chatting to Namjoon and his new girlfriend. They were wearing a cute matching dryad set. You spotted Lisa and her fianceé in matching vampire costumes, staring each other down like they wanted to literally take a bite out of one another. Yugyeom was on the dance floor with his best friend, oddly wearing couple costumes of an angel and a devil. You wondered what was going on there…
A tap on your shoulder brought you out of your search and you turned to find someone covered in a white bedsheet with the eye holes cut out standing behind you.
“Boo.” Your roommate’s best friend said in a kind yet monotone voice. Mark, also a bit of an introvert, had unfortunately come alone. His new roommate wanted to hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters since it was her first Halloween living in a smaller town where kids actually went out at night.
“Have you seen Bam?” You asked him, comfortable with him enough that you didn’t feel rude asking. He merely shrugged.
“He’s everywhere. You know how he is during parties.” He then gestured to your cup. “Need a refill? It’s hot under the sheet, I’m gonna go cool off in the kitchen.”
You shook your head, tilting the cup to show its fullness. “I only just now joined everyone. I shouldn’t go into hiding yet.” He chuckled and nodded before heading off to the kitchen.
You resumed your scanning, spotting Youngjae and his friend both wearing witch costumes. Near them were Yuna and Ryujin laughing next to the makeshift bar, dressed as a mummy and purple alien respectively, while Minho smirked at his own joke, golf club splattered with fake blood perched on his shoulder. You weren’t exactly sure who he was supposed to be, but it was festive regardless.
Finally you spotted your roommate, chatting lively with a twisted-fairy version of Felix. You walked over to the pair, matching Felix’s bright smile when he saw your approach.
“Hi, Y/N, you look so cute!” He stated before looking between BamBam and you, connecting the dots. “Oh, I see.” He mumbled with a knowing smirk before walking away.
You watched in confusion, “What was that about?”
“Don’t worry about it, you know how Felix can be.” Bam joked, smiling and secretly checking you out. “Where have you been?”
You scoffed, jokingly glaring. “As if you even knew I wasn’t out here. You’re always running between conversations.” He frowned slightly at your statement, but you took a sip of your drink at the same time and didn’t notice.
🎃
You had somehow gotten roped into a debate over the correct way to eat an Oreo. Werewolf-Yeonjun was arguing that biting into the sandwich cookie was perfectly normal, but Medusa-Soobin and his statue-girlfriend were on the side of pulling it apart. You didn’t really have an opinion either way but took to arguing Yeonjun’s side with him just for the sake of fairness.
You were in the middle of nodding along to Yeonjun’s point when suddenly you were being dragged away by your wrist. You were about to protest and snap when you realized it was just your roommate.
“We need to take pictures.” He stated, bringing you along to a moody lit corner. Mark’s sheet lay discarded at his feet and he was holding up BamBam’s phone, ready to take pictures.
You and BamBam took several in-character pictures, and when he started looking through them over Mark’s shoulder, you moved to leave. Bam grabbed you and brought you back over, though, before you got too far.
“Just a few more.” He said and wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, pulling you flush against him. You looked over your shoulder at him confused, but he only tilted his head and smirked. The flash of the camera went off and then Bam leaned in, kissing you passionately. The angle was a bit awkward, but you were happy enough to deal with it.
The camera flashed several more times before BamBam released his lips from yours and smiled down at you.
“Happy Halloween.”
“Best Halloween party ever.”

I have a request. Will you do a oneshot where it's your wedding day and you have a flashback on how Jackson enlisted the help of all the members to help him setup a treasure hunt proposal? At the end the you're crying happy tears because you are pronounced as husband and wife?
Thank you for the request! I hope you like it.

Title: Mrs. Wang
Genre: Fluff
Word count: 1.5K
The fresh smell of orchids filled your nose as soon as the double doors opened and revealed your grand entrance.
The room was filled with guests consisting of your closest family and friends. It was an elegant and intimate wedding adorned with pearl and satin accents and highlighted with the most beautiful shade of Robin’s egg blue. Several gasps were heard and all eyes were on you as you gracefully began to walk down the aisle to your soon-to-be husband, Mr.Jackson Wang. He stared at you lovingly, tears pooling his eyes at first sight of you in your wedding dress. As you continued to make your way towards him, you couldn’t help but admire his handsome appearance. He was dressed in a classic tuxedo and his chocolate brown hair was swept to the side with gel. Jackson’s thick brows helped highlight the rest of his sharp features, from his deep, dark brown eyes to his plump lips that you were dying to kiss.
As you neared the altar, you spotted Jackson’s best man, Jaebum quietly handing him a small handkerchief as a sign to dry his teary eyes. Jaebum earned a thumbs up from Yugyeom and BamBam who were sitting in the front row along with Jinyoung, Youngjae and Mark. It wasn’t long before Jackson dried his tears and walked down the three small steps to meet you. “You’re so beautiful” he whispered just before taking your hand into his and leading you up the steps to the altar. In that moment you felt like you could turn to mush just seeing how he smiled at you so lovingly. Jackson remembered how nervous you were just the day before seeing as you wanted everything to go perfectly smooth. You had been planning this wedding for months and now that the day was finally here, you hoped your hard work had paid off. However, all negative thoughts instantly vanished as Jackson held both of your hands and gently rubbed his thumbs against your fingers, almost as if to give you that nonverbal reassurance you didn’t know you needed.
The officiant began reciting his usual script just after thanking everyone for coming together to witness the lifelong commitment you and Jackson were about to make. Before you knew it, you were suddenly drowning out the officiant’s voice and taking in every single word your fiance uttered before you. Jackson spoke from the heart, looking you in the eyes as he first mentioned how you took his breath away when he first laid eyes on you all those years ago. He made the crowd laugh when he briefly mentioned having to pull out all his smooth moves on you just to give him your number back in the day. You couldn’t help but let out a chuckle as well as you reminisced about your beginning and all the good times you’ve had that led up to this moment.
Jackson bit his bottom lip as he looked at you with tears growing in his eyes again. He bit down on his lip a little too hard, almost as if to stop his voice from shaking before taking a deep breath. “You are my everything,” he added. You looked up at him and smiled while you felt your own tears forming. “I admire you so much.” Jackson said, “You’re the kindest, most loving person I know and I wake up everyday wanting to be the best version of myself because of you. Thank you for always being by my side and I promise to always be by yours. I love you, _____.”
By this point, tears were cascading down your face before you took a deep breath to begin exchanging your vows. Similarly to Jackson, you declared your infinite love for him and emphasized the impact he has had on your life just as you had his. You spoke of the many moments of laughter and love you two shared throughout the years and made sure to mention just how much he means to you before the officiant continued reciting his script and allowed you two to exchange wedding bands. You watched as Jackson gently placed the band on your finger before locking eyes with you again. After a few more moments, you were suddenly wrapping your arms around his neck as he dipped you and bestowed a kiss just after the coordinator said, “you may kiss your bride.”
The crowd erupted with cheers and chants in celebration of your new milestone. You stood at the altar with Jackson hand in hand, taking in the special moment as you both faced the crowd. You watched as Jackson’s best friends, or more like brothers in the first row whistled and cheered you two on. It brought a smile to your face as the sight of them reminded you of how you two got to this point in the first place - the proposal.
You remembered how Jackson had recruited the boys to set up a sort of ‘treasure hunt’ like proposal for you. It started with a sly little note at home, with details and clues of where to find your dress, shoes and accessories Jackson had bought for you for the night. He then had Youngjae drive you to your next destination, which was one of the best hotels in the city. Once you arrived you were greeted by Mark, Yugyeom and Jinyoung and instructed to find more clues that would lead you to the ‘treasure.’ “Guys what is going on,” you would occasionally ask as you followed a trail of rose petals and made your way through the hotel and towards the back door. Throughout your search you would find short love notes and compliments seemingly from Jackson along the way.
“Is this what I think it is?’ You asked with a big smile when you saw Jaebum and BamBam. You could feel your heart pounding as you neared them and noticed BamBam’s mischievous smile. “I don’t know. Only one way to find out,” BamBam chimed as he opened the door for you and motioned for you to continue. You will never forget the butterflies you felt as you exited the back door and found yourself walking along the beach at sunset just before catching sight of Jackson. He was standing before the ocean with his hands clasped together, almost as if he had been just as nervous as you were. He was dressed in a white button down and khaki trousers rolled up to his knees.
“Jackson!” You cheered as you made your way to him a little quicker. “Come here,” he chuckled as he eagerly awaited your arrival. “What are you doing out here?” You giggled as he immediately pulled you in for a hug as soon as you reached him. “I know the beach makes you happy, so I wanted to bring you here,” he answered in a calm tone. You smiled at him before looking out to the ocean, admiring how beautiful it looked as the sun set over it. “Yeah there’s nothing quite like this view,” you hummed.
“Or you,” Jackson added. “There’s no one quite like you, _____.” He said while admiring you and causing you to look at him once more. You watched as he swiftly reached into his pocket and pulled out a beautiful ring. “Jackson-” you gasped as he kneeled in front of you. “I mean it, ____. There’s no one else in the world like you. You’re one of a kind and you mean so much to me.” He confessed. Jackson gazed upon your beauty and suddenly became at a loss for words as he began to stumble upon his next thought. “To be honest, I had a whole script planned out in my head, but looking at you now. Wow.” He smiled. “I just can’t think of what else to say now other than I love you. Will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?”
You gasped as you heard those words come out of his mouth. You had dreamed of this day so long as it was one-step closer to marrying the love of your life. “Yes of course!” You exclaimed before jumping into his arms and kissing him tenderly. You were surprised as fireworks erupted from above and the rest of the boys appeared, shouting and cheering in awe as their best friend was set to marry the one who made his heart full.
Those same cheers echoed in your mind as you came back to reality and smiled at Jackson’s life-long friends just before he whisked you up and yelled, “This is my wife!” To everyone in excitement. “Oh my gosh,” you laughed at his antics as more cheers erupted. “Already announcing it to the world?” You added. “Yes!” Jackson beamed. “Now, how about we get out of here, Mrs. Wang?” he asked with a grin and you nodded. “Let’s do it-” you barely uttered before Jackson took off with you in his arms and ran down the aisle. You nearly screamed in surprise and held onto him for dear life with your bouquet barely hanging on. You tossed the flowers aside to gain a better grip as Jackson neared the car outside. “Mrs. Wang,” you cooed. “I like the sound of that.”

Relaxing
Summary: After a long day at work, you get to spend the rest of the day relaxing with Bambam and your four cats.
Oneshot
Domestic Fluff, Established Relationship au
Word Count: 1,262
Bambam X Reader
Requested: I wonder if you can go a lil BamBam fluff :DD Like not over the top fluff but like domestic home fluff? Like reader comes home to a cozy house of BamBam and cats?? Idk, do what you feel is right! Love youuuuuu 💜
[A/n: I did name ½ of the cats. But seriously they can have any name you wish. (One is named King like Bam’s real cat but not an imitation). I don’t write about Got7 too much anymore, if that. I still love them but not enough to write about them. Anyways, the reason I took this is because I’ve known and been friends with this person in real life for many years. On top of having inspiration for it. And today she starts her new job, and I wish her lots of luck. Anyways, love ya too! Hope this is to your cup of tea!]
------
You’ve waited for the weekend to come since the dawn of Monday, wanting to be back in Bambam’s arms. But with you both working different schedules, it was hard to be home together. As you clock out, you can’t help but feel giddy. You race out of the building, barely saying goodbye to anyone before hopping in your car. Your phone rings as if he knew, “Hey, Baby, are you on your way?” You grin, “Yeah, I’ll be home in ten. Do you want anything while I’m out?” He hums and says, “No, just you. I ordered your favorite, by the way.” You thank him and say your goodbyes, and after checking the coast that the was clear, you barrel out of the parking lot, looking forward to a long weekend of cuddling and relaxing.
You can’t help but smile as you see your shared home. Back before you bought a house together, he always felt like home. And now that you’re living together, it felt surreal, no matter how many times you return. You call into the house as you set your keys down, “Babe, I’m home~” He calls back, “In the living room!” You smile and reach the living room and see a precious site. Curled up on his lap are two of the four cats you share. You quickly snap a photo, and then he catches sight of you, “I’m so happy you’re home. I’ve missed you all week.” “I’ve missed you too, Bam.”
That’s when the other two unoccupied cats hear that you are home. You hear their loud meows before you see them. You smile softly as the one comes up and walks between your legs, and you pick it up and kiss it while the other leads you to your shared bedroom. The cats hop onto your bed as you change into your pajamas, waiting for you to finish cleaning up. They follow you back to the living room, where you settle beside Bambam.
He smiles, wraps his arm around your shoulders, and pulls you into his side. Your workday starts to weigh on you as you rest your head against his shoulders. He asks, “You want to tell me about your day?” You shake your head no, and he kisses your forehead, “You don’t have to. I’m glad you’re home.” The two kitties who followed you hop onto your lap, and Bam chuckles, “Seems like they’re glad, too.” You sigh, “This is nice. It’s good to be home.” He nods and lets you have your moments of rest and peace.
Once you unwind from your long day at work, you start scratching the fuzzy gray cat behind the ears, and she instantly starts purring. The other wakes up from the noise and gives you a look, and you let out a light laugh before using your other hand to scratch their neck. The cats on Bam’s lap stretch out and look up to find your home. The one nuzzles into Bam’s chest and asks for pets, which he willingly gives him. While the other, with its outstretched paws, starts making biscuits on both of your legs. Which makes you both laugh as you sit there basking in the moment. The doorbell rings. Bam scoots his cat onto your lap, which causes the one that was lying on his chest to hop off and head to the kitchen to get his food. You both laugh, and he pulls his arm out from behind you and gets up. Once he’s off the couch, the other curls up against your leg where Bambam was sitting.
You smile at the three cats and wait for Bam to return, “Whatcha get?” He grins as he reminds you, “Your favorite.” You give him a small smile, “I thought it’d be a good way to cheer you up.” You agree, and he pulls the coffee table closer to you. He goes to the kitchen, pulls out the utensils, and two drinks for you two. He returns, opens your cans, and hands you your meal so you don’t risk the three cats moving away. But alas, they do, smelling that it’s mealtime. “Did you give them their cans of food?” He nods, “Yeah, but the two here,” gesturing to the ones on your lap, “Didn’t want to eat until you returned.” “And what about Lamb Chop?” He laughs, “She already ate. That’s why she’s so content lying against us.” You laugh, and she moves into your lap after the two who smell pasta hop down to eat their fishy dinners in the kitchen. She rolls over as Bam sits back down and lays across the two of you, “The baby… Always getting what she wants.” He laughs, “Always. How’s our little lamb chop?” She purrs as the two of you rub her belly before digging into your food.
She hops down as you two finish eating. Bam gets up and takes your trash, “Thanks, Bambi.” He smiles, “No problem, Thumper.” You both laugh and after, he throws away the garbage. The two of you go and wash up after your meal. He grabs your hand in his, stopping you in your tracks, “Do you want to watch TV or head to bed?” You think about it before deciding, “Sleep sounds really good right now.” He smiles, brings you into his chest, and holds you, “Okay.” You nuzzle your face into his chest as you sigh. He runs his fingers through your hair and helps you calm down even further. He waits for you to part from the embrace before he asks, “Ready?” You nod, and he leads you both to your bed and lifts the comforter up for you to get under. You give him a light smile as he gets under the covers on his side before tucking you in and wrapping himself around you.
You hear scratching at the door, “Did you let them in?” He groans, “That’s what I forgot!” He clambers out of bed, unraveling himself before opening their mini door. One of them huffs at him, and he sasses, “King, we’ve talked about this. You get huffy with me. You won’t get any treats.” King huffs at him again, and Bam grumbles as he defeatedly makes his way back to bed. You roll over to face him as he climbs back in and gets under the blanket, “You, okay? Did the big bad kitty-cat give you attitude?” He pouts and nods his head. You ruffle his hair and kiss his cheek, “Aw, it’s okay, Bammie. He’ll purr, and you’ll forget all about it.” He nods, and lo and behold, King makes his way between you two and rubs up against him. “All is forgiven, little man. You’ll get your treat in the morning as usual.” You look towards King, then at Bam, then at King, and back at Bam before he gets it. And gently moves King from in between you two and kisses your nose, “Is someone jealous?” You pout, “Bam…” Which causes him to grin, “Your pout is so cute, baby.” And kisses your lips, “I love you, now let’s get some sleep.” You whisper back, “I love you too.” He turns off the overhead light with a command and turns on the lower light so you can rest at ease. He rolls you over, and you both laugh as he drags you into his arms. Your cats find their places around you two to sleep. And for the next two days, you can relax and spend them merrily with him and your four fur babies.

“Stop interrupting me!” - BamBam
Tumblr media
A/N: Have an excitable birthday BamBam! It is suggestive, but not actually smutty.
It was BamBam’s birthday birthday and you had taken it upon yourself to organise a surprise for him. He’d spent the night before with you so you were lazing in bed togther first thing on May 2nd.
“You know,” you told him as you lay together, playing with his fingers, “I have planned something special for you today.”
“Oh yeah?” he asked, raising his eyebrows suggestively.
“Not that,” you said before backtracking. “I mean, as well as that. I’m not denying you sex on your birthday.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. But as I was saying, I have arranged something-”
“Like a date?” he cut you off.
“No, it’s more like part of your present from me,” you tried to continue.
“Something you bought me?”
“No-”
“Ooh, like an experience day?”
“BamBam,” you snapped. “Stop interrupting me.”
“Hey, you can’t shout at me on my birthday,” he complained.
“Well, you keep butting in before I can tell you, so I can only assume you don’t want to know,” you teased. “I’ll just have to enjoy it myself.”
“No, I’m sorry,” he apologised. “Please tell me, I’ll be quiet.”
“Ok, thank you. So, I’ve made some calls, and managed to arrange for GOT7 to all be here in the same country at the same time. They are coming here at 1 to celebrate with you.”
“No way!” BamBam exclaimed. “Including Jackson and Mark?”
“Yup, all 6 of them are coming,” you confirmed, delighted at the reaction you got.
“Ah man, it’s been too long. Babe, this was such a sweet thing to do,” he said, looking genuinely touched. “How? Actually, how doesn’t matter. Just thank you for doing it.”
“No problem, I thought you might like to see them again.”
“Oh, you said they won’t be here til 1 right?”
“Yeah?” you replied with a question, trying to work out his train of thought.
“Well, I do believe you promised me sex, and there is plenty of time before they get here...” he trailed off.
You couldn’t help but smile.
“Hmm, I think there might be time,” you agreed. “Happy birthday, babe,” you added before pressing your lips to his.

I Think I Love You → Pairing: Bambam x Fem!Reader Tags: 2.1k, Fluff, Humor, Friends to Lovers, GOT7 Valentine Collection 2020 Summary: In which Bambam rescues you from the company party and makes a rooftop confession to you under the stars. It’s kind of magical.
→ GOT7 Valentine Collection 2020
Tumblr media
This has got to be the lamest Valentine’s Day ever. As if it weren’t sad enough to be spending it alone, you were spending it at a company party. Not like there is anything wrong with your co-workers or anything, you like them. Most of them. It’s just the idea of having to mingle with other people outside of working hours while dealing with your bosses emotional outbursts and mood swings.
The tea in the break room is that your boss was finally caught in the illicit affair he has been poorly hiding from his wife and she left him high and dry. He has been absolutely beside himself with grief and his latest coping mechanism is ‘team bonding’ and ‘positivity’ in the workplace, in other words, he is lonely. Which led to this disastrous plan.
Because he makes it a point to know everyone’s business, your boss had technically invited all employees but he had been pushing the singles, hard. He would casually slip it into every conversation and when you would try to politely decline he tried to guilt you into accepting. Being the nice person you sometimes wish you weren’t you agreed to come tonight and that is how you ended up sitting alone at a folding table with a glass full of bitter champagne listening to Doris, the nice old lady who works in accounting, talk about her thirty-eight-year-old grandson who is ‘just so handsome’ and ‘the perfect match for you’.
You grimace into your glass as the woman drones on and just as you muster the courage to excuse yourself, your salvation comes in the form of a friend you hadn’t expected to see here tonight. He strolls up to the table, long legs clad in a pair of fashionably frayed light wash jeans, a black v-neck sweater, and shiny black boots. His platinum hair is pushed back and styled to perfection and you can’t hide the smirk that finds your lips as he approaches.
“Doris! Looking good! How is your grandson?” Bambam asks the elder woman, capturing her weathered hand in his own and patting it lightly, “Did he finally move out of your basement?”
Doris chuckles, completely oblivious and entirely enraptured by Bambam’s charm, “Oh, no dear. He is just so busy doing research for his new book that he doesn’t have time to look for a new apartment!”
Your eyes widen comically at that. Not only is she trying to hook up you up with a man much older than you, by several years, but she was also trying to set you up with a ‘failure to take flight’. Oh, Doris.
“Ah, well I am sure he will get around to it eventually,” Bambam replies gently, “Oh, I think Arthur was looking for you, just over...there,” He points out another elderly account, sure to keep her locked in conversation and away from you.
Doris mutters a quick ‘goodbye’ and ‘such a nice boy’ to Bambam and you both watch her waddle over to the other side of the room, waiting until she was out of earshot.
“What in the world are you doing here?” You laugh, taking another reluctant sip from your glass.
“I knew you were too nice to say no,” He smirks, “And I knew you were going to need someone to rescue you from this shit show.”
“Oh? Are you here to rescue me?” You tease him, abandoning your glass on the table and crossing your arms to look up at him, “Are you my ‘knight in shining armor’ then?”
“I can be whatever you need me to be, baby,” He flirts back and the devilish smirk he wears makes your skin tingle in all the right places.
“Well then get me out of here and literally anywhere else.”
Tumblr media
The crisp night air feels good on your skin as you step onto the roof of Bambam’s townhouse. It’s relatively quiet for the outer part of the city, only intermittent sounds of passing cars reach your ears but you tune it out for the soothing sounds of the breeze tossing your hair around your shoulders lightly. You roll your shoulders a bit, pulling your sweater around you as you lean over the railing to view the street below.
“Sometimes, I think you like my rooftop better than your own apartment,” Bam comments and you smile to yourself because he is partially right. He set down the items you left him to carry on his own, the wine, two glasses, and a big fluffy blanket on the patio table and moved to join you at the railing, handing you a very full glass, just the way you like it.
“It’s just so peaceful and quiet up here, you know?” You half-whisper, eyes gazing at the few stars peeking through the night sky.
Bam sips from his glass, looking up at the constellation twinkling into existence, “Yeah, it is,” He pauses thoughtfully, “Unless you’re up here.”
You turn to scoff at him, amused and only partially offended, making him cackle at your face. It is true that you have turned his rooftop patio into your own getaway and Bam lets you rant and rave about your every frustration but most of the time he just sits and listens to you talk about whatever comes to your mind. You once even joked about paying him for his counseling services since you were up here so often.
You met Bambam about a year ago when you joined the company you now both work for. He was the first friendly face you met, if not a little overwhelming what with the fact that he is both gorgeous and terminally ridiculous. You immediately clicked with his jovial personality and the way he could make any sarcastic comment sound endearing to your co-workers and the two of you have been good friends ever since.
“Why aren’t you off on some hot date tonight?” You nudge him, turning away from the view to peer up at him.
“Who says I’m not?” He returns smoothly and you give him a little grin that makes his stomach do flips.
“Huh,” You cluck your tongue, running it over your top teeth thoughtfully, “You’re extra cheeky tonight, aren’t you? In the holiday spirit, Bammie?” You chuckle.
“Why wouldn’t I be? It’s a perfectly clear night, we have good wine, and I’ve got you here,” He winks at you, backing away slowly to let you absorb his words and grinning when your eyes narrow, following his movements with an unconstrained smile.
You move away from the railing and collapse next to Bambam on the comfortable love seat, kicking off your shoes and pulling your feet underneath you. You don’t even have to ask before Bam is grabbing the blanket off the table and settling it over the both of you. Sipping on your wine you both sit in companionable silence for a bit and you let your head hang back against the cushions, staring back up at the sky.
Bambam catches himself staring at your profile and this time he doesn’t look away like he normally does when he loses himself in you. Instead, he takes his time appreciating the slope of your nose and the way you slightly purse your lips. He follows the column of your throat and the way your chest rises steadily as you inhale the night air. It’s times like this where he has to physically hold himself back from touching you.
He aches to feel your warmth against him and to feel the tickle of your hair as the breeze picks up. He wants to reach out and trace over your brow lightly, especially when its furrowed in thought and he begs himself to be brave enough to smooth the lines of worry away. Mostly, he wants to feel your pouted lips against his own. To feel your hands on his skin, holding him close. To hear you call him your own.
Bambam is lost in thought when you crack an eye open to watch him. You notice that he is staring blankly at your hand, wrapped around the base of your wine glass and you wonder what is going on in his head. The way he tugs on his bottom lip, deep in thought, makes you want to press your thumb to it and gently ease it from between his teeth and maybe place it between your own.
It hasn’t always been like this. You had both started this friendship with no intention of falling for the other but sometimes things, people, are meant to be.
“Bam,” You whisper, swirling the liquid in your glass slowly, methodically, and he looks up to you in a daze, “You’ve got a bit of…” You trail off, reaching out with your middle finger to wipe a drop of red wine from the corner of his mouth but he catches you off guard when he captures your hand before you pull it away, bringing it to his lips and kissing the pad of your finger gently.
“I think I’m in love with you,” He says quietly, realizing what he just did and that he is still holding your hand suspended in mid-air, “I understand if you don’t feel the same, but I don’t think I can keep it to myself any longer. I’m really sorry if it’s unexpected or makes you uncomfortable in our friendship.”
Instead of answering Bambam you pull your hand away from him slowly and his face falls as he watches you stand from the seat and take his wine, setting both glasses on the table. He looks defeated and is already dreading the sight of you walking away from him but you take a deep breath before settling yourself in Bambam’s lap and his hands come around you tentatively, his eyes wide and full of wonder.
Looping your arms around his neck you brush your thumbs over the neatly trimmed hair at the base of his head and say nothing as you lean in and kiss him softly, just a whisper of a touch before pulling back to look at him, “You’re super cute when you’re nervous. I don’t see that look on you very often,” You giggle at the awestruck look on his face.
“You’re the only person who can actually make me nervous,” He admits with a small smile, hands resting more confidently on your lower back now. “I’ve been wanting to tell you for months but every time I got the courage, I thought about how shitty it would be if it ruined what we had and I never got to watch you smiling up at the stars on my rooftop again.”
You would be lying if you said his words didn’t make your insides melt a bit.
“What made you change your mind?” You ask quietly, moving one hand away from his neck to settle against his chest, your finger tracing the warm skin exposed by his low cut sweater.
Bambam smiles softly, a faint blush warming his cheeks as he lifts a hand to your face, cupping your cheek adoringly, “I got tired of waiting to kiss you.”
You’re caught off guard when he crashes your lips together and tangles one hand in your hair while the other holds you tight against him, his fingers splayed over your hip. Falling into him is the easiest thing you’ve ever done and you know without a doubt that this is how you were always meant to be, in his arms, kissing him softly beneath the moonlight.
You pull away to speak or just catch your breath but Bambam trails after you, keeping you locked in the kiss until you’re tapping his shoulder, in desperate need of oxygen. You shakily inhale, keeping your forehead pressed against his own. You only manage a breathy ‘Bam, I’ before he’s kissing you again like he just can’t help himself. Not after all this time he’s spent holding himself back and so you let him take what he needs for as long as he needs to.
After what feels like hours tangled up in each other’s arms, you’re sprawled out on the love seat between Bambam’s legs, your back to his chest and head laid back against his shoulder with his arms encasing you comfortably. The quiet is peaceful, soothing. It allows you to listen to his steady heartbeat through his chest and the quiet melody he hums to you.
“Bam,” You whisper, not wanting to disrupt the moment but needing to say what you had tried to say earlier before he stole your kisses once more, “I think I love you too.”
“Well, that’s a relief,” He chuckled happily, “Work would have been super awkward on Monday!”

bambam: “what do you think?”
Tumblr media
pairing: bambam & reader
prompts: “i’ll wait through your phases.” & “i have loved you since we were 18.” & “it’s time for you to ask me out.”
genre: angst, fluff, friends to lovers
word count: 2.5k
summary: bambam and you were friends. at least that’s what you thought until one lonely night on top of a rooftop.
note: this is a requested drabble i wrote for my follower special (find it here). also, highly inspired by prettymuch’s “phases”.
Tumblr media
The city looked beautiful, the light rain didn’t disturb you at all, if anything it made your little hometown look even more beautiful. The view from the rooftop of the parking garage next to your house always was one of your favorite things about this town ─ your mother was always insisting you spent to much time up here but it holds so many magical memories, nothing could calm you down like the familiar comfort of looking at the skyline from here.
Basically, to say it in the easiest way possible, you had a bad day. One of many, but today it hit differently. A part of you was mad at yourself for thinking that he was actually serious about the two of you when there were so many red flags. You weren’t even sure if you liked him but now that he ditched you loneliness was once again your best friend. The other part of you, the one that was more dominant, made you feel sorry for yourself.
God, why was it so hard to find a decent guy in your town? All the good guys were either in a relationship, not interested or too close to you to risk ruining your friendship with them.
So, there you were, lovesick over some fool that certainly was not good enough for you, sad music on full volume in your ears, feeling empty all alone on the top of your city. This sure would be a good scene for a dramatic teenage movie.
You were a bit startled when you suddenly realized a tall figure beside you, disturbing you while you were drowning yourself in self-pity, until you saw who it was ─ Of course, he’d find you. After all, Bambam always came to your rescue.
“So, it’s over I assume?”, your friend asked you, sitting down right beside you. He handed you a hot pack so you wouldn’t freeze, knowing exactly you forgot yours. It was almost scary how good he knew you by now.
Nodding, you took out your headphones, “Big surprise, right?”
His legs were dangling off the high building, they were so much longer than yours, it was ridiculous. You looked at him and he gave you a small but reassuring smile.
“Why didn’t you call me?”, he asked you, sounding a bit disappointed.
“I knew you’d find me.”, you joked but you couldn’t hide the sadness in your voice.
“You didn’t hide very well.”, he chuckled, scooting a bit closer to you to hug you, “You shouldn’t be sad about him, he smelled bad anyways.”
It was very rare to see Bambam like this ─ sincere, serious, maybe even a bit worried about you. Mostly he was the complete opposite ─ loud, active, a pain in the ass, but at least a lovely one.
Resting your head on his shoulder, you sighed, “I’m not even sad. I’m just lonely.”
Shaking his head, he sighed, “That’s what you get from involving yourself with guys like them. I told you before.”
You knew he didn’t mean it in a mean way and you also knew he was right about it but you weren’t in the mood to listen to these kind of lectures right now. There were only few things you hated more than Bambam’s lectures, the worst part about them was that he was always in the right.
Bambam surely belonged to the type of guys who were too close to you to be something more. Still, it sadly was more complicated than that. The two of you met at a party several years ago and that day, things were more than friendly.
You still remember how attracted you were to those long legs and to his fashion choices, his plump lips and, probably most of all, his personality. He was, and still is, the funniest and most carefree person you have ever met and you couldn’t help but be unbelievable attracted to him. And luckily, he seemed to feel the same way.
Even though it feels like a lifetime ago, you still remember that evening exactly. You never could forget how his lips felt on yours, how smoothly his hands wandered all over your body, how good his body felt on yours. His jokes made you laugh, his flirting made you feel almost flustered and his hands made you feel craving more. Back then, he seemed like the perfect future boyfriend for you.
But after that night, the two of you somehow ended up as friends. He insisted that both of you were way too young and wild to be in a serious relationship and you had too much potential to fuck up an amazing possible friendship for a messy love story.
That’s how you two became friends and you knew he was right about what he said back then ─ without him as your friend you probably would feel beyond lost. But sometimes, for a second only you couldn’t help but wonder how things would’ve gone if you didn’t decide to be friends instead of lovers.
“Thanks, I know I have terrible taste in men.”, you scoffed, giving him an annoyed glance, “No need to remind me.”
“You do.”, he said, almost cold and you wondered what was going on. Something was definitely bothering him but you knew he hated to talk about his feelings.
“Okay, dude.”, you said, repositioning yourself to be able to look at him without hurting your neck, “What the hell is going on with you?”
He knitted his eyebrows together, looking at you in confusion, “What do you mean?”
“Did you only come here to tell me how bad I am at dating?”, you asked a bit sharp, not being in the mood to be judged by your best friend.
Rolling his eyes, he let out a long sigh, “Yes, of course. I just came to make you feel more terribly, sounds just like me, right?”
While you usually thought he was beyond funny when he was being sarcastic, this time he had a way too serious undertone to it. It was unlike him to come at you, especially when you were down so you a weird feeling came creeping up in your stomach, not sure if it was anger or sorrow.
Not wanting to fight, you pressed your lips together into a thin line, “Look, Bambam. Let’s not do this tonight. I’ll go home, okay? Thank you for looking out for me.”
Just as you were trying to get up, he snapped at you, making you freeze immediately.
“Just stop running away from your problems for once.”, he said, raising his voice but instantly regretting it ─ you could see the regret in his eyes and you weren’t mad at him, you were just wondering what made him so mad. After all, even Bambam was allowed to have his bad days, you just wished he’d talk to you.
For a second there was an uncomfortable silence between the two of you, no one knowing how to handle this rather unusual situation. You don’t remember him ever raising your voice at you before and it seriously made you feel terrible.
“I’m sorry.”, he broke the silence first, his voice now quiet and soft again, “Seriously, I shouldn’t have shouted.”
Nodding, you felt your tense body relaxing a bit again, sitting back down, “Why do you think I’m running away from my problems?”
Shrugging, his eyes were glued to the skyline of the city, “I just got frustrated, I didn’t mean that. I promise.”
Now you were the confused one. He still didn’t seem normal again, so you decided to find the roots of his problem, “What are you frustrated about? If you don’t want to listen to my constant complaining anymore I’ll stop, seriously. I thought you wouldn’t mind.”
For a second he closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath, “You could complain all day and I’d still love to listen to every word. I’ve just been thinking lately and I let it out on you, that wasn’t fair.”
“Bambam, please, don’t make me beg you to tell me what is going on.”, you said, your shoulder brushing his, “What have you been thinking about?”
“It’s stupid.”, he said but also knew that he had to tell you because you wouldn’t let it go until he talked to you, “Somehow, I can’t stop thinking about the day we met lately. I try to push these thoughts away, but they keep on coming back.”
He looked so discouraged, it almost broke your heart. If there was one thing your heart couldn’t take it was seeing him sad or hopeless, especially not if you were the reason for it. It was terrible to see him so frustrated.
“I think about it too every now and then, what’s so bad about it?”, you ask him, trying to encourage him. Of course, you thought about it too, there was nothing bad about it, “It happened before we became friends and honestly, it was a fun night, it’s only normal to think about it.”
“No, I don’t think you understand.”, he said, once again not daring to look at you, “I know you’re not mine of course, but it feels like even though you’re not, I’m still yours.”
His words felt like a dagger right in your heart, not knowing how to respond, not even sure what exactly he was trying to say, it sounded like he tried to confess to you but considerating your relationship to each other you highly doubt it, there was no way Bambam caught feelings for you, not the guy who decided to become your friend instead of your lover many years ago.
“Bam.”, you said softly, daring to take his hand to make him feel calmer, “You have to be a bit more precise in order for me to understand.”
Finally, he looked at you, his expression seemed desperate and you truly have never seen him like this. In front of you wasn’t your funny and supportive best friend, no, in front of you was a handsome but very hurting man.
His gaze shifted from your eyes to your lips, then to your hands.
“I never minded you trying to find yourself, dating shitty men, comforting you when someone hurt you, you know? I always thought that I’ll wait through your phases. But I don’t want you to watch getting hurt anymore.”, he said, taking a small break from his speech before scoffing, “God, some alcohol or a cigarette to calm down would truly be appreciated right now.”
You chuckled at his comment, after all, he was still the same guy even when he was pouring his heart out. Still a little bit confused you dared to be a bit blunt, “You’re saying that you like me?”
“Yup.”, he said with a little scoff, shrugging but still not letting go of your hand, “Actually, I love you. I have loved you since we were 18.”
You felt a little butterfly in your stomach, followed by another one and yet another one until your whole stomach was feeling tingly. While this was very unexpected and you certainly didn’t know how to respond at all, you couldn’t help but feel good. It was surprising and you never would’ve thought that deep down, Bambam actually liked you but it somehow made so much sense to you ─  the two of you definitely would be a powerful couple and basically have acted like one for forever and, obviously, you have been attracted to him from the start.
Your mind was filled with a thousand thoughts and you were not really able to catch a single one of them, all of this seemed so sudden but so expected at the same time and you couldn’t explain what you were feeling even if you tried.
Looking into his eyes, you felt nothing but pure admiration for him.
“I don’t want to destroy our friendship.”, he suddenly said, clearly panicking.
You shushed him, wanting to say something but he wouldn’t let you, continuing to panic.
“Back then I said we should become friends rather than lovers because we weren’t ready for something serious but sometimes I feel like I regret that and I just-”
Once again you shushed him, hoping he’d calm down so you could say something. His babbling was cute and you appreciated that he tried to explain the situation but you really wanted to tell him that he has nothing to worry about.
“I hope we can stay friends even though this-”, he once again started, looking nervous but you decided it was about time to stop him.
Without thinking about it twice you moved closer to him, your lips finding his just to make him shut up, knowing this would probably be the only way he’d stop talking. It took him a second to understand what was happening but as soon as he realized that it was fine, you felt his hand in your hair while his lips worked his magic on yours. The kiss was intense and slow, his lips still as soft as you remembered them. His scent was obfuscating you and all of those little butterflies came back to your stomach.
He deepened the kiss, not wanting this moment to pass even though both of you were dying to talk about the situation, this came first. He put a bit more pressure into it, his second hand finding its way to your lower back, gently pushing you closer to him. You wouldn’t have thought that you ever got the chance to kiss him again but you definitely were happy about it.
“Bambam.”, you said while taking a breath but he didn’t stop kissing you.
Chuckling into the kiss, you freed yourself from him. He looked at you and gave you a small smile, “What do you think?”
“I think it’s time for you to ask me out.”, you said grinning.

Comatose Love
BamBam is anxious. Jackson can see it clearly no matter how hard BamBam tries to act normal. BamBam had never been able to sit still but he is more fidgety than usual, abnormally quiet, and  Jackson has watched him check his phone no less than twenty times in the last three minutes only to drop it onto the dining table with a huff a second later, running his hands through his hair and then repeating the process. He’s trying to hide it from the rest of his members, laughing loudly as he watches Mark attempt to climb Yugyeom like a tree, but Jackson could tell it was forced, his smile never reaching his eyes.
“BamBam,” Jackson calls, catching everyone’s attention, “What’s got you so distracted?”
“Huh? Oh. Nothing. I’m fine,” BamBam says hurriedly, looking back down to his phone.
“No you’re not,” Mark says from where he is perched on Yugyeom’s back, wrapped around him like a koala, “You keep checking your phone and then looking like you wanna throw it across the room a second later.”
“Why are you on me, hyung?” Yugyeom says in annoyance and Mark just shrugs, causing Yugyeom to growl. He walks over to one of the couches in the dorm living room and flops down, effectively squishing Mark between him and the back of the couch and Mark lets go with a groan, the rest of the boys laughing again as Yugyeom pushes back, pressing Mark harder into the back of the couch until Mark gives him a hard smack on the side of his head. Yugyeom jumps up quickly, scurrying over to sit at the table next to BamBam just as Jinyoung and Youngjae enter the dorm, both laden down with bags of food.
The boys all gather around the table as Jinyoung and Youngjae hand out the food, and Jackson watches as BamBam ignores his in favor of checking his phone again. He sets the phone aside again with a sigh before grabbing his fries. He only eats a couple before picking his phone up once more, only to have it snatched out of his hand by Jaebeom as he plops down next to him.
“Seriously, BamBam, what’s up,” Jaebeom asks, holding BamBam’s phone out of his reach, “are you that lost without Karlie here to hold your hand?”
“I am not lost without her, hyung,” BamBam says in exasperation, wincing at the mention of his fiance who also happens to be Got7’s American manager. Jackson can’t help but chuckle as he watches BamBam attempt to grab his phone from Jaebeom, almost climbing into his lap, only to have it taken by Jinyoung across the table. He flops back in his seat with a hard, crossing his arms and glaring at the table.
“Right,” Jaebeom says with a smirk, “Then why do you look like a kicked puppy?”
“I do not look like a kicked puppy,” BamBam growls before sighing, “I’m just worried, okay? She usually calls or at least texts me once a day. I haven’t heard from her in three days. I’ve been trying to call her but it goes straight to voicemail.”
“Maybe she finally got sick of listening to your whiny ass, and shut off her phone,” Mark says from where he is sitting on Jaebeom’s other side, and the other boys laugh when BamBam lunges at him and he lets out a small shriek.
“That’s rude, Mark,” Jinyoung admonishes as he slides BamBam’s phone into his pocket, sits down, and looks back at BamBam, “I’m sure she’s fine, BamBam. But checking your phone every two seconds and stressing out isn’t going to make her call you any quicker. So eat your lunch and spend some time with us before you leave for Thailand tomorrow.”
“Fine,” BamBam says with a pout before taking a large bite out of his burger. Before anyone can say anything else though, Day6’s Sweet Chaos rings out and BamBam is lunging across the table, shoving his hand into Jinyoung’s pocket and fishing out his phone.
“See, I told you she was fine,” Jinyoung says with a laugh as BamBam answers the phone, wandering into the living room.
“Karlie what the hell?” BamBam says loudly, “I’ve been trying to call you for-”
Jackson looks up from his food when BamBam stops mid-sentence.
“Tyler? Where’s Karlie?” BamBam says in English as he stops next to the couch.
Everyone’s attention snaps to BamBam at his question, food forgotten. Jackson watches as a mix of confusion and pain settles onto his friend’s face.
“What are you- Why is she-” BamBam stutters and stops as whoever is on the other end continues speaking. Yugyeom stands from the table and moves to stand next to his best friend when BamBam fists a hand in his hair. As Yugyeom reaches out to place a hand on BamBam’s shoulder, BamBam’s knees suddenly buckle, phone slipping from his hand and bouncing across the carpet. Yugyeom manages to snake his arm around BamBam’s waist in time to keep him upright, and BamBam presses his forehead into his best friend's collar bone as Yugyeom slowly guides him to the floor. Everyone is moving now, rushing to their friend’s side. Jackson stops short when he sees BamBam’s phone lying face up on the floor a few feet away, call still in progress, screen showing a closeup picture of BamBam and his fiance, BamBam pressing a kiss to Karlie’s cheek. He snatches the phone up quickly and presses it to his ear when he hears a male voice calling BamBam’s name filter through the phone speakers.
“Who is this?” Jackson demands in English.
“Who are you?” The voice on the other end says, “Where’s BamBam?
“This is Jackson,” Jackson replies, looking over when he hears BamBam’s breathing hitch, bordering on hyperventilation and the other boys around him attempting to calm him down, “and BamBam is currently having a panic attack and I wanna know why.”
“Jackson, this is Karlie’s father,” The man says with a sigh, sounding tired, “Karlie was attacked three days ago and is currently in a coma. The doctors don’t know when, or if, she will wake up.”
“Oh my God,” Jackson whispers, drawing some of the other boys’ attention to him, “We’ll make sure he’s on the next flight to the States.”
“Thank you, Jackson,” Tyler says.
“Of course, sir,” Jackson says, and hangs up the phone. Jaebeom and Mark are next to him almost instantly, eyes full of questions and Jackson relays what Karlie’s father had told him.
“Shit,” Mark says quietly before switching back to Korean, “well he’s already packed for Thailand. All we need to do is cancel his current ticket and buy him a new one.”
“I think someone should go with him,” Jaebeom says, “Make sure he makes it okay.”
“I’ll go,” Mark says, and Jaebeom nods. As Mark heads to his room, Jackson looks over to see that BamBam has gotten his breathing under control and is now leaning back against the couch with a blank look on his face. Jinyoung, Youngjae, and Yugyeom are trying to talk to him but give up a minute later when they get no response. They wander over to where Jackson and Jaebeom are, all looking concerned.
“He won’t tell us what’s going on,” Youngjae says, sounding panicked, “he started hyperventilating and then he just shut down. No tears, no explanation, nothing.”
“Who was on the phone, Jackson hyung?” Yugyeom asks quietly, eyes still glued to his best friend, who hasn’t moved. Jackson explains again while Jaebeom goes to book tickets for BamBam and Mark. By the time Jackson has finished explaining the situation, Youngjae and Yugyeom both have tears running down their faces and Jinyoung’s eyes are glassy. Jaebeom walks back over a few minutes later with a couple sheets of paper, just as Mark returns from his room with BamBam’s suitcase and a duffle bag slung over his shoulder.
“Okay, I have you on the next flight out,” Jaebeom says, handing the papers to Mark, “It leaves in an hour and forty-five minutes, so if you’re going to make it with enough time to get through security you need to leave now. The cabs on its way and I called JYP. He’s paying for the tickets, and sends his best wishes. All that’s really left to do is call his mom, let her know what’s going on so she’s not freaking out when he doesn’t show up tomorrow.”
“I’ll call her,” Yugyeom says, and Jaebeom nods. As Yugyeom walks away, the sound of a car horn outside catches everyone's attention.
“Cab’s here,” Jinyoung says, looking out the window. Mark takes BamBam’s phone from Jackson before picking up the suitcase and heading for the door. Jaebeom and Jackson squat down in front of BamBam and Jackson places a hand on his shoulder.
“Hey, BamBam,” Jackson says in a soft voice, “You need to get up. The cab’s here to take you to the airport.”
When BamBam gives no response or sign of moving, Jaebeom lets out a noise that sounds like a mix between a sigh and a growl. He reaches out quickly, grabbing BamBam’s chin firmly and forcing his head up.
“Hey,” Jaebeom says sharply, and BamBam’s eyes finally focus on him, “You need to get your head in the game. Karlie needs you right now and you sitting here is doing nothing. So move your ass.”
At the mention of his fiance’s name, BamBam’s eyes widen and he nods, allowing Jaebeom and Jackson to pull him to his feet. The three of them make their way outside, where Mark is waiting by the cab.
“Call us when you get there,” Jaebeom tells Mark after depositing BamBam in the car.
“Will do,” Mark says, “I texted Karlie’s dad with BamBam’s phone, letting him know our itinerary.”
Jaebeom nods and Mark climbs into the car. Jackson and Jaebeom watch the cab until it disappears around the corner before heading back inside.
“You were a bit harsh on him, hyung,” Jackson says as they climb the stairs.
“Yeah, well. We needed him to move,” Jaebeom says with a sigh, “We had to snap him out of whatever that was and the soft approach was not going to work.”
“Yeah,” Jackson sighs, “I guess you’re right.”
~~~~~~
BamBam doesn’t speak a word the entire trip. Mark tries multiple times during the fifteen and a half hour flight to talk to him, but BamBam never responds, simply stares out the window. He also refuses to eat, despite having not eaten lunch. Mark knows he’s not going to get through to him so he leaves BamBam to his own devices, dozing off here and there. It’s mid-afternoon when they finally land in Karlie’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mark is stiff and sore. As he and BamBam make their way through the terminal, trying to shake the cramps out of their muscles, they hear a feminine voice calling BamBam’s name. They turn towards the sound and see a petite woman standing next to the baggage carousel. Mark turns to BamBam in confusion, only to see his eyes widen just before he scurries over to the small woman, stooping to wrap her in a hug. Mark hurries after his friend, reaching the pair as the woman pulls back and gives BamBam a small, motherly smile. Now that he’s closer, Mark sees that the woman is an older, slightly shorter version of Karlie.
“I didn’t know Karlie had an older sister,” Mark says without thinking, because his brain-to-mouth filter must be malfunctioning due to jet lag, making both BamBam and the woman give him strange looks.
“Oh hun,” the woman says with a thick Southern drawl, a sweet smile adorning her face, “you must be exhausted. You’re not seeing things clearly. Did you two get any sleep on the plane?”
“Maybe an hour?” BamBam says uncertainly, the first words Mark has heard him speak since he got the call, “But he slept most of the flight.”
“Did you at least eat something?” the woman asks as they grab the boys’ luggage, giving BamBam a pointed look and he looks away quickly. The woman huffs and smacks the back of his head, before turning her gaze to Mark, “What about you, Mark?”
“Yes, ma’am,” Mark squeaks, slightly frightened of the tiny woman before him, before something else occurs to him, “Wait. How do you know my name?”
“Don’t call me ma’am. Carrie is fine. Or mama,” the woman says with a smirk, “And I know all of your names. My daughter talks about the ‘crackheads’ that she manages all the time. Plus, I like your music and Bam is always showing us videos of the crazy antics you boys get into. So it wasn’t hard to match names to faces.”
“Oh, daughter…” Mark says, scratching his head in embarrassment, “That makes sense. I feel dumb now.”
“It’s okay, sweetie,” Carrie says with a giggle, patting Mark’s arm, “We can just blame it on the jet lag. Now come on. Let’s go see our girl. We’ll pick up some food on the way.”
Mark and BamBam follow Carrie out to her SUV, stowing their bags in the trunk. As Carrie pulls out of the parking lot, Mark sends a quick text message to their group chat, letting the other members know that they had landed safely and that he would call them later that evening. They stop at a McDonald’s then a Starbucks, Carrie buying two extra coffees. The rest of the ride is pretty quiet, only the sound of crumpling food wrappers breaking the silence. When they finally arrive at the hospital, the atmosphere seems to grow darker around them. The hospital is busy, people in scrubs rushing around. The elevator is packed when they catch it and they are all thankful to get off two floors later. The third floor is quieter than the first floor had been, an almost somber quality to the air that makes the hair on the back of Mark’s neck stand up as they follow Carrie down the hall. They stop at a desk with a middle aged gentleman and a young man in scrubs leaning against it, and Carrie hands the young man one of the coffees.
“You didn’t have to get me coffee, Carrie,” the young man says, accepting the cup anyway.
“I know, hun,” Carrie says, handing the other coffee to the other man, “But you’ve been here all night and you looked almost dead when I left.”
“Well, thank you,” the young man says, before turning to look at Mark and BamBam, “And who are these gentlemen?”
“This is Karlie’s fiance, BamBam,” the other man says, placing a hand on BamBam’s shoulder then points to Mark with the hand holding the coffee cup, “And this is his bandmate, Mark.”
“They aren’t technically a band, Tyler. They don’t play instruments,” Carrie says, patting her husband's arm before turning back to the man in scrubs, “How is she today, Josh?”
“Well, the swelling has gone down considerably. The doc ran another CT scan after you left and he’s optimistic about being able to remove the drainage tube tomorrow,” Josh says, leaning across the counter to pick up a clipboard, “She’s also breathing on her own, now.”
“May I see her?” BamBam asks in a small voice as Carrie lets out a sigh of relief.
“Of course,” Josh says, nodding, “this way.”
As they follow the nurse down the hall, BamBam gets antsier with every step, and when they finally stop by a door at the very end of the hall, he looks ready to bolt. Mark places a reassuring hand on BamBam’s shoulder as the nurse opens the door. The lights in the room are out and it’s quiet except for the constant steady beeping of a heart monitor. As they all file in, Josh turns on the lights and Mark suddenly feels the urge to puke. Karlie is the room’s only occupant, but if Mark didn't know who they were there to see, he would not have recognized the girl laying in the bed. The entire left side of her face is a dark purple, with a matching bruise ringing her neck. There are bandages wrapping around her forehead and covering her right eye. There are tubes and wires everywhere, some attached to her right arm and some disappearing into the neckline of the hospital gown she wears. Her long brown hair almost seems dull, laying limp and greasy around her.
“Jesus,” Mark breaths out as BamBam stumbles forward. He falls to his knees next to the bed and reaches out tentatively to grasp her hand, lacing his fingers through hers and pressing the back of her hand to his lips. Mark sees his friend's shoulders start to shake, and he presses his forehead against Karlie’s hip as Carrie moves forward, kneeling down next to him and wrapping her arms around his shoulders. BamBam shifts, never releasing Karlie’s hand, and buries his face in Carrie’s shoulder as she cards her fingers through his hair, broken sobs ripping their way out of his chest.
“What happened,” Mark asks shakily, turning to look at his friend's father. He is trying to be strong for BamBam, but he can feel the burn of tears welling in his eyes. Karlie had become like a little sister to Mark and seeing her like this hurt.
“We had gone to dinner with a few of her bridesmaids and were talking to a couple of gentlemen while waiting for a table,” Tyler says, looking exhausted, “one of them was very interested in Karlie, and looked angry when she said she was engaged but he didn’t say anything. Then about halfway through dinner BamBam called her, so she went outside. We all figured she would be a while, so when she wasn’t back after twenty minutes, we didn’t think anything of it. But then a woman came running into the restaurant screaming that ‘he’s killing her’. We were pretty far from the door so it took us a while to get out there, but when we did, we saw the angry guy from earlier being pulled off of Karlie by his friend. We don’t know why he did it, his friend doesn’t even understand what happened. Apparently he just snapped.”
“Jesus,” Mark says again, not knowing what else to say, and a silence settles over the room, only BamBam’s sobs being heard. They stay that way for a while, Tyler sitting in the chair against the wall, Mark leaning against the wall next to him, and Carrie holding BamBam as his sobs quiet down. After a while, when BamBam has stopped crying and settled himself in the chair next to the bed, still clutching Karlie’s hand, Carrie turns to her husband.
“Hun, you look exhausted,” she says, placing a hand on his shoulder, “and both boys probably need sleep, too. So why don’t you take them home and I’ll sit with her.”
“I’m not leaving,” BamBam says firmly, eyes never leaving his fiance's face, before Tyler has a chance to say anything.
“Bam, you need to sleep,” Mark says, “You barely slept on the plane.”
“I’m not leaving her, Mark,” BamBam snaps in Korean, springing to his feet and turning to Mark with a glare, “I don’t need you telling me what I do or don’t need. The woman I love is lying in a hospital bed and we have no idea when she’s gonna wake up. Or if she even will. So if you think I’m leaving her side anytime soon you are sorely mistaken.”
Mark’s eyes widen at his normally goofy friend’s angry outburst. He doesn’t know how to respond, so he just nods and makes his way out the door. He wanders down the hall a bit before collapsing into one of the many chairs lining the hallway. He rakes his hands over his face and through his hair, taking a deep, shaky breath as he lets his head fall back against the wall. He feels the stress of the day catching up with him; the jetlag, the shock from his friend’s condition and BamBam’s outburst becoming too much and he feels tears stinging at his eyes again. This time, though, he doesn’t fight it, just lets the tears slip past his closed eyelids and down his cheeks. He sits there for a few minutes, crying silently, until he feels a hand on his shoulder and he opens his eyes to see Tyler and Carrie both standing in front of him.
“Come on, son,” Tyler says, “Let’s head to the house and you can sleep.”
“Oh, I was just going to book a hotel,” Mark says, wiping his eyes and standing.
“Nonsense,” Carrie shakes her head, “We have a spare room. There’s no point in wasting money on a hotel when you can just stay with us.”
Mark nods, too tired to argue, and follows the couple out of the hospital.
~~~~~
When Mark walked out, BamBam collapsed back into his chair and buried his face in his hands, immediately feeling guilty. He hadn’t meant to yell at his friend, knew he was just concerned for BamBam’s wellbeing, but the stress of everything had gotten to him and he’d taken it out on Mark.
“Shit,” BamBam says, letting out a ragged sigh.
“I may not know what you said,” Carrie says, placing her hand on his shoulder, and he looks up at her, “But even I could tell that was harsh.”
“I know,” BamBam says, sighing again and training his eyes back on his unconscious fiance, “I didn’t mean to snap at him. I just-”
“I get it,” Carrie says, “Hey. I’m gonna take Ty and Mark to the house so they can get some sleep, then I’ll be back. It’ll probably be a couple hours. You gonna be okay here by yourself?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine,” BamBam says. His eyes don’t leave Karlie as he hears Carrie and Tyler leave. He picks up Karlie’s hand again, reaching out with the other hand to gently rest it against the top of her head, careful of the bruising on her face and the bandages on her head. He sits that way, carding his fingers through her hair and listening to the steady beep of the heart monitor reassuring him that she was still there, still alive, for about half an hour until his phone starts buzzing in his pocket. He fishes it out and sees that Mark is calling the Got7 group chat. He takes a moment to gather himself and makes sure that his headphones are connected before accepting the call. It takes a second for the call to connect, the sound coming through before the video does. When it does, he sees Mark in the guest room of his soon to be in-laws house, eyes slightly red and puffy, and feels another wave of guilt wash over him. At the bottom of the screen, the rest of the members of Got7 are squished onto one of the couches in the dorm living room. They all look rather surprised to see him.
“Hey guys,” He says quietly.
“Hey Bam,” Yugyeom says softly, with none of his usual exuberance, “How you doing?”
BamBam doesn’t answer, just makes a noncommittal noise and turns the camera around, showing the boys the girl on the bed. The boys all gasp, while Mark just looks away. He turns the camera back around so the boys are looking at him once more and rubs his eyes.
“What happened?” Jaebeom asks, voice neutral, face blank.
Mark relays the story they heard from Tyler, but BamBam isn’t really listening, not really wanting to hear it again. His mind wandering to the “what ifs”. He remembers calling her that day, and he wonders if he had waited a little longer to call her would she still be in this situation. If he hadn’t begged the other boys to take a break earlier than planned so he could call her, would she have made it home with no more contact with the angry man? Before he can fall too much farther into that train of thought, the sound of his name pulls him back to the conversation and he
sees his best friend giving him a knowing look.
“I know what you’re thinking, BamBam,” Yugyeom says, and BamBam looks away, “It’s not your fault and blaming yourself isn’t going to do anyone any good.”
BamBam doesn’t say anything, just nods, knowing there’s no use arguing with his best friend because no one knows BamBam better, except maybe Karlie.
“So wait,” Youngjae says, “Mark where are you? Did you stay at the hospital, too?”
“No, I’m at Karlie’s parents’ house,” Mark says, a small smirk working its way onto his face, “They wouldn’t let me get a hotel.”
“I could have told you that,” BamBam says with a snort, “They wouldn’t let me get a hotel either. Made me sleep in the guestroom the first couple times I came with Karlie for a visit. That bed is damn comfortable though.”
Mark laughs and nods in agreement. They talk for a few more minutes before Mark lets out a loud yawn and the other boys laugh. The boys all say their goodbyes and demands to be kept updated on Karlie’s progress.
“Mark hyung,” BamBam says, catching everyone’s attention before anyone can hang up, “I wanted to say I’m sorry. About earlier.”
“It’s fine, BamBam,” Mark says, a reassuring smile on his face, “I get it. You’re stressed out. I probably would have reacted the same way had I been in your position.”
“That’s still no excuse for snapping at you,” BamBam argues, and he sees confusion on the rest of the members’ faces, “I appreciate your concern. I really do. Thank you. And I am sorry.”
Mark doesn’t say anything else, just smiles and nods before hanging up. BamBam tells the other boys goodnight once more before hanging up, just as the door opens behind him.
“Oh!” the woman says in surprise, “You startled me. I wasn’t expecting a new face.”
“I’m sorry,” BamBam says, standing and offering her a hand, “I’m BamBam.”
“Oh! The fiance!” the woman says with a knowing smile, shaking his hand, “It’s nice to meet you. I’m Becky. One of the nurses taking care of Karlie. I’m here to change her bandages and clean her up a bit.”
“Oh,” BamBam says dumbly, finally noticing that the woman is wearing scrubs. Becky seems sweet, around Carrie’s age, with short cropped black hair that's graying at the temples and wrinkles around her kind eyes. He watches as she moves about, checking the monitors, before grabbing a cart holding medical supplies and moving it closer to the bed.
“So how did you two meet,” she asks as she starts unwrapping the bandages around Karlie’s head, “If you don’t mind my asking. I bet it was something cute, right? Like in a coffee shop or a bookstore?”
“I wish,” BamBam says with a snort, trying to ignore the damage to his fiance’s face that was hidden by the bandages; the stitches in her eyebrow and under her eye, the bruising and scrapes on her forehead, instead focusing on the heart monitor beeping away steadily as he remembers his and Karlie’s first meeting, “She actually called me a dumpling on a pair of walking chopsticks when we first met.”
“Really?” Becky says with a laugh as she gently cleans Karlie’s face.
“Yeah. I was 19, dumb and immature, and tried hitting on her five minutes after I met her,” BamBam says, smiling at the memory, “She was 21, gorgeous, and had just started working at the entertainment company I’m signed with. We were doing a Q&A video with our fans in Germany and they brought her in as a translator. She speaks seven languages. She actually insulted me in Thai, which is my native language. Shocked the hell out of me.”
“Seven?” Becky asks, “I knew she spoke Korean and Spanish. Didn’t know about the others.”
“Wait, you know her?” BamBam asks in surprise.
“I went to high school with her dad,” Becky says with a smirk, “and Karlie grew up with my twins.”
“Oh wow,” he says quietly.
“So,” she says, looking at BamBam conspiratorially, “If you were a dumb, immature teenager and she was insulting you in the beginning, what changed?”
“I’m persistent,” BamBam says smuggly, “ And stubborn. Granted so is she. It took me a year and a half to get her to agree to a date. But after that first encounter, I stopped trying so hard. I flirted less and tried to get to know her better. We became really good friends and I think that helped me mature a lot. Though I’m 25 and still act like a dumb, immature teenager sometimes, she keeps me in line. She keeps us all in line, actually.”
“Tyler tells me she manages a KPOP group,” Becky says, “That’s you, right? Isn’t it frowned upon to date your manager?”
“She was actually my girlfriend before she became our manager,” BamBam explains, “She’s only been our manager for about a year, we’ve been together for about four. My group was being rowdy and crazy backstage at an awards show, not listening to our manager when he would tell us to chill. It wasn’t the first time we gave our manager a hard time. And then she came in to wish us good luck, saw how we were acting and ripped us all apart and we settled down. JYP, the CEO of our company, I guess he saw it, and when our manager quit the next week, he offered her the job. Didn’t even care that she and I were together. He had just never seen anyone corral us like that.”
“Wow,” Becky says.
“Mmm, I got lucky,” he says, turning his gaze back to his fiance, “She’s the best thing that’s happened to me.”
“So how long have you been engaged?” Becky asks, “Have you guys set a date? How did you propose?”
BamBam looks at her with bemusement, amused by her curiosity. When he doesn’t respond after a few moments she looks up at him with wide eyes, and he chuckles.
“I am so sorry,” she says hurriedly, “It’s not really any of my business. I’ve just found it helps the family to talk when a loved one is hurt. Just think of me as the nosey aunt.”
“It’s fine,” BamBam says with a laugh, “It’s what? February now? I proposed in October, so four months. The wedding is supposed to be in April, in Thailand.”
“Wow. Short engagement,” Becky says.
“Yeah, Karlie’s very organized.” BamBam says with a fond smile, “She had almost everything planned by December.”
“Mmm,” Becky hums in agreement, “So why BamBam?”
“Huh?”
“Your name,” Becky clarifies, “I know that’s not the name you were born with.”
“His name is kinda hard to pronounce,” Carrie says as she walks in the open door, making BamBam jump, “Hi Becky.
“Hi Carrie, I’m almost done here,” Becky says with a smile, gathering up her supplies, “and what do you mean about his name?”
“The first time we met BamBam, Tyler said he refused to call him that, demanding to know his real name,” Carrie starts, giggling.
“When I told him my real name he just kinda blinked at me for a good ten seconds,” BamBam says laughing, “then he held out his hand for me to shake and says ‘It’s nice to meet you, BamBam.’ Karlie fell off the couch laughing.”
Carrie and Becky join in with his laughter as Becky finishes up and says her goodbyes, having other patients to tend to. After she leaves, BamBam and Carrie sit in silence for a while, both lost in their own worlds.
“You know that’s part of why she wants to get married in Thailand, right?” Carrie asks suddenly, the sound of her voice making BamBam jump again.
“Huh?”
“She wants to make sure that whoever officiates can properly pronounce your name, and what better way to assure that happens than get married in Thailand,” Carrie explains with a smile, and BamBam snorts.
“Is that the only reason?” he asks with a chuckle.
“No,” Carrie says with a small smile, “She’s always said that she wants to get married wherever the person she loves is from, because that's their home. I asked her about it when she was a teenager and her cousin got married in the Philippines. I was complaining about having to travel for the wedding and she said she thought it was sweet. I asked her where she wanted to get married and she just smiled and said ‘wherever they are from. If he’s from Florida then we’ll get married in Florida. If he’s from Montana, then we’ll get married in Montana. If he’s from Korea, we’ll get married in Korea. If he’s from Georgia though, we’re getting married in the Bahamas.’ That’s just the kind of person she is, Bam. She wants to make sure the person she loves is happy and comfortable and wants to experience their culture with them.”
BamBam can’t find the words to respond, so he simply nods and threads his fingers through Karlie’s again. It’s quiet for a long time before he realizes that his soon to be mother-in-law has fallen asleep in the other chair. He gets up, grabbing the extra blanket from the cabinet nearby, gently placing it over the slumbering woman before returning to his silent vigil.
~~~~~
The next day is pretty uneventful, Tyler and Mark wandering in around eleven. The doctor comes in after lunch, talking in a bunch of jargon that BamBam doesn’t understand before Karlie is wheeled out for about an hour, returning with a few less tubes and wires attached to her and the bandages gone. The day wears on, filled with meaningless chatter and stories from Karlie’s childhood and her time with Got7, until it’s already well into the evening and her parents decide they will both go home that evening. BamBam once again refuses to leave, and this time no one says anything. After they leave, he tries to distract himself from the quiet, surfing social media before quickly becoming bored. He ends up scrolling through his photo gallery, losing himself in the images of his fiance stored there. It's one of his favorite hobbies, taking pictures and videos of Karlie, capturing all of the different sides of her; the way she looks when she’s sleeping, mouth slightly open and hair falling in her face; when she first wakes up, hair a mess and looking grumpy before having her coffee; the cute way her nose scrunches when she laughs. As he scrolls he comes across a video that looks to have been taken in the Got7 practice room that he doesn’t remember taking. When he opens it, all he sees is a forehead.
“Oh god! Why is that so close!” he hears Karlie’s voice, almost drowned out by the cacophony of laughter coming from the background, and the video pulls back showing Karlie’s beautiful face. She moves the phone to show what’s happening behind her, and he sees himself held bridal style in Jackson’s arms, laughing loudly as Jackson spins in circles, before the video moves back to Karlie’s face.
“Ya know, sometimes it’s kinda hard to tell who he’s dating. Is it me? Is it Jackson?” Karlie says, laughing as she points to herself then over her shoulder before moving the camera again, this time showing that he has moved from Jackson’s arms to Yugyeom’s, wrapping around his best friend like a koala as Yugyeom sprints around the room, before tripping over Youngjae’s extended foot and they both end up on the floor, BamBam trapped under Yugyeom’s body.
“Whoops, maybe it’s Yugyeom. I don’t know anymore.” The video focuses on Karlie’s face once more as she sounds annoyed but her smile shows that it’s all an act. There’s movement behind her that BamBam can’t quite make out before there are suddenly hands on Karlie’s face, turning her head. BamBam gets a quick glimpse of his own face as he slams his lips against hers before the camera is suddenly moving very quickly, a clattering noise echoing from the phones speakers before the screen goes black. BamBam chuckles as he remembers when that video was taken, not having realized at the time that she had been recording in the first place. He continues scrolling through the gallery, passing more pictures and videos before he comes to one of his favorite videos, one taken for Instagram the morning after he had proposed. He had taken her on a weekend getaway for her birthday to a little bed and breakfast in the Scottish countryside. It was a place she had always wanted to visit and he wanted to make her birthday and the proposal special. They had gone to dinner and then for a walk near the lake and it had honestly been perfect. He opens the video, his face coming into focus, hair messy, dressed in a black tee with the sides cut out.
“Wassup guys,” he says quietly, smiling sleepily at the camera as he makes his way into the bedroom of the suite they were staying in. He places the cup of coffee he carries on the bedside table before climbing onto the bed, collapsing next to a lump under the blankets. He pokes the lump causing it to shift and let out a groan and he chuckles.
“BamBam go away,” Karlie’s voice filters out of the bundle, speaking Thai.
“Rude babe,” He says with a chuckle as he wiggles his way under the blankets and pressing himself as close to her as he can, her messy hair and eyes squinting as she glares at her fiance. The screen goes black before the sound of Karlie squealing and giggling filters through. When the screen lights up again, they are sitting up leaning against the headboard, BamBam leaned back against Karlie’s chest with her arms wrapped around his waist, hands clutching the coffee cup and her chin resting on his right shoulder.
“No babe,” she whines, still speaking Thai, when she notices the phone in his hand and buries her face in his shoulder, “Why are you filming? I have no makeup on! Please tell me this isn’t going on Instagram.”
“Neither do I. It’s fine. And I would be lying if I did.” BamBam says with a laugh as she groans. He threads his fingers with those of her left hand, showing off the diamond ring that rests on her ring finger, sparkling in the sunlight that filters in from the window. She starts grumbling in German and BamBam doesn’t know what she’s saying but he’s fairly certain it’s not nice.
“I have no idea what she’s saying right now,” BamBam says in English, “But I am fairly certain she’s swearing at me in German.”
“You would be correct in that assumption,” Karlie says with a smug smirk as she picks her head up from his shoulder and takes a sip of the coffee, “I can say it in a different language if you want me to.”
“Nah,” BamBam says, smirking as well, “I wanna hear you say ‘I love you’ in Thai.”
She mutters something that the mic can’t pick up as she rests her cheek on his shoulder once more, looking towards the window.
“That is definitely not how you say ‘I love you’ in Thai,” he says laughing, “Th- That is actually quite rude, babe. Come on, say ‘I love you’. Please?”
“Chăn rák ter,” she says with a sigh, but BamBam can hear the smile in her voice.
“German!” BamBam says.
“Ich liebe dich.”
“Spanish.”
“Te quiero," she says, resting her chin on BamBam's shoulder before her face scrunches in confusion, "Wait. Nope. That's I want you. Te amo is I love you. It's too early for this shit. I hate you.”
“No you don't. You love me,” BamBam says as Karlie takes another drink of her coffee and rolls her eyes.
"I don't know why," she says with a smirk.
"That hurts me, babe," he says, placing the hand holding hers over his heart with a pout, "right here."
"You'll be fine," Karlie says and BamBam laughs.
"How about Korean?" BamBam says, and Karlie rolls her eyes again.
“Salanghae,” she says, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“Chinese!”
“Wǒ ài nǐ.”
“Japanese,”  he says looking smug.
“Aishiteru.”
“English!” he says, shifting himself a bit so he can look at her better.
“I. Love. You.” She says, punctuating every word by pressing a kiss to his lips, “Are you done now? Can you turn off the camera yet?”
“Well, I was gonna make an announcement,” BamBam says with a smirk, playing with the ring on her finger, “but I don’t remember what it was about ‘cause you distracted me with your amazing language skills, so yeah I guess I can. Peace out guys!”
The screen goes black as BamBam chuckles, remembering the response he had gotten to that video. Instagram had blown up, grumbles about the ring and BamBam not outright saying that he had asked her to marry him. He had made a formal public statement announcing the engagement a couple of days later, once they had returned to Seoul. The other members had been mad because he never even told them he was planning it, Yugyeom hadn’t spoken to him for a week. He feels tears stinging at his eyes again, thinking about just how close he had come to losing the love of his life, her survival still not one hundred percent certain. He sets his phone down on the table next to him and lays his head down on the bed next to Karlie’s hip, gripping her hand and pressing it to his lips, allowing the tears to slip from his eyes, and he cries himself to sleep.
~~~~~
He’s awoken the next morning by someone slapping his face less than gently. He opens his eyes to see Carrie standing there, looking annoyed.
“Alright, get up,” She orders, and he blinks at her as he sits up. He looks blearily at the clock hanging on the wall and realizes that he only got maybe two hours of sleep. His back is stiff and his neck is cramping badly.
“Wha-” he’s cut off by her reaching out and grabbing his ear, pulling him forcefully from the chair and out of the room, the sound of Mark’s laughter echoing behind him. He’ll have to remember to hit Mark later, “ OW! Shit! Mama, what are you doing?”
“I am tired of watching you sit there in that uncomfortable chair, fighting sleep,” Carrie says in exasperation, finally releasing his ear only to grab a hold of his wrist, preventing him from turning around. For someone so small she is deceptively strong, “Plus you are still wearing the clothes you wore on the plane. So we are going to go back to the house, you are going to shower, eat, and sleep in a real bed for at least six hours.”
“Mama, I’m-” he starts only to be cut off again as they make their way outside, the sun momentarily blinding him.
“Boy, if you try to tell me you’re fine, I will hit you,” she says quickly as she unlocks her car, “Then I will call your Ma. Don’t test me. Now get in the car.”
BamBam gulps audibly and nods, doing as he is told and climbing into the passenger seat, knowing that it isn’t an empty threat. They drive in silence, only the quiet crooning of some country song playing on the radio being heard. When they reach the house, BamBam climbs out of the car and up the steps of the porch on his own, his ear still stinging from Carrie’s earlier attack.
“Your suitcase is in Karlie’s room.” Carrie says, nudging him towards the stairs as she makes her way towards the kitchen, “Go take a shower while I fix some breakfast.”
BamBam nods quickly and trudges up the stairs and into his fiance’s childhood bedroom. He glances around quickly, taking in the soft purple walls, the large bed up against one wall, gray and purple sheets unmade, the photos and awards scattered around, the desk in the corner stacked high with books and the bookshelf against the other wall, piled high with more books and photos. Nothing has changed since the last time he was here, except the bridal magazines stacked neatly on the corner of her desk, small post-its poking out, marking pages of interest. He shakes his head and opens his suitcase, pulling out a pair of basketball shorts and a loose tee shirt, along with his toiletries, before heading into the adjoining bathroom. He only plans to take a quick shower, but the hot water feels so good on his stiff muscles that he can’t help but stand under the spray, water beating down on his tense shoulders. By the time he is done, the water has gone cold and steam fills the bathroom. He dries himself quickly, pulls on his clothes, and makes his way downstairs, wandering into the kitchen to see Carrie setting a plate piled high with pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon onto the table along with a glass of orange juice. He hadn’t realized just how hungry he was but the mouthwatering smell has his stomach growling rebelliously, catching Carrie’s attention and making her chuckle.
“Eat,” she orders and he nods, plopping himself in the chair and digging in. He eats quickly, clearing his plate before leaning back in his chair with a content sigh for a moment then standing and taking his dishes to the sink with the intent of washing them.
“No, I’ll do that,” Carrie says as she takes the sponge from him and gives him a small shove towards the kitchen door, “You go up and sleep. I want you to try and get at least six hours. We’ll go back to the hospital after you wake up.
BamBam nods and thanks her for breakfast before making his way back upstairs. He flops down on the bed, letting the familiar scent of Karlie’s shampoo soothe him into a restless sleep.
~~~~~
He only manages four hours, not being able to sleep without Karlie next to him.  He gets up quietly, not wanting to alert Carrie to his wakefulness, looking through his clothes from earlier for his phone, only to realize that he left it at the hospital when Carrie had dragged him out. He sighs in frustration before grabbing a pair of sweatpants, an oversized tee shirt, and his hoodie from his suitcase, dressing quickly before grabbing his phone charger and making his way downstairs. Carrie is sitting on the couch when he walks into the living room, flipping through a large book. As he gets closer, he sees that it’s a photo album containing photos from Karlie’s childhood. When she notices his presence, she closes the album, asking if he wants any lunch before they head back, not commenting on the fact that he didn’t make it six hours. He shakes his head, more than ready to be back at Karlie’s side. They make the trip silently, not even the radio playing this time. When they make it back to Karlie’s room, Tyler is asleep in the chair against the wall and Mark is sitting in BamBam’s chair by the bed with headphones in, music blasting as he scrolls through social media on his phone. BamBam smirks to himself as he moves to stand behind his friend and flicks him hard in the back of the neck.
“Ah, shit!” Mark exclaims loudly, clutching at the back of his neck, “The hell, Bam!”
“You're in my spot,” BamBam says, laughing loudly. Mark's outburst and BamBam’s laughter shakes Tyler from his slumber and he grumbles about overly loud children before letting out a huge yawn that has Carrie giggling next to him. They all settle in, talking and bantering much as they had the day before for the next couple hours, simply passing the time.
It’s about 9 o’clock, as Tyler, Carrie and Mark are getting ready to leave that a groan grabs everyone’s attention. They all wait with bated breath, hoping for another sign of waking from the unconscious woman. She groans again and shifts in bed, spurring everyone into motion. Carrie, Tyler and BamBam gather around the bed as Mark runs out of the room in search of a nurse. He returns a few minutes later, Josh in tow, just as Karlie’s eyes slowly flutter open. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief as her eyes drift around the room.
“Hey baby,” BamBam breathes, smile breaking across his face, as Josh moves forward, checking the monitors and shining a small flashlight in her eyes which causes her to flinch and whine. Josh moves away from her, stepping over to a computer mounted on the wall, as Karlie’s eyes drift around again, never focusing on anything.
“Hey baby girl,” Tyler says and her eyes drift to him for a moment. She gives no sign of recognition before her eyes move on again. She shifts again, seemingly looking for a more comfortable position as her eyes land on BamBam. Something flashes across her face for a moment, something akin to recognition, before her eyes fall shut again.
“Wait, what happened?” Carrie asks, turning to Josh in a panic, “Why didn’t she say anything? Is she okay?”
“She’s just fine,” Josh says, giving them a reassuring smile, “It’s normal for coma patients to come out of it slowly. Waking up multiple times without truly waking up. This will probably happen multiple times over the next few hours, maybe days, but that’s okay. It means she is coming out of it. This is a good sign.”
Josh gives Carrie a pat on the shoulder and another smile before making his way out of the room. Everyone else settles back in, all previous thoughts leaving flying out the window. It’s quiet, everyone lost in their own thoughts. BamBam never lets go of Karlie’s hand, eyes never leaving her face. Carrie and Tyler settle into the chair by the wall, while Mark makes himself comfortable on the wide window sill.
True to what Josh said, Karlie opens her eyes multiple times throughout the night, never focusing on anything for more than a few seconds, only keeping her eyes open for a couple of minutes at most before closing them once more.
~~~~~
He doesn’t remember falling asleep, had never intended to in the first place, but when he opens his eyes, BamBam notices that the room is brighter, the sunlight just starting to spill into the room. He’s leaned forward with his head pillowed on his arms, and he can see Tyler and Carrie asleep in the double chair against the wall, Carrie’s head resting on Tyler’s shoulder while Tyler’s head is leaned back against the wall.
He shifts, adjusting himself in the chair and turning his head the other way, catching sight of Mark asleep still perched in the window before closing his eyes again. He sits like that for a moment, attempting to go back to sleep while also trying to figure out what had woken him in the first place, when the feeling of fingers carding through his hair finally registers in his brain and his eyes snap open. He bolts upright and is met with the most beautiful blue eyes he’s ever seen, accompanied by a bright, tired smile.
“Hey handsome,” Karlie whispers, voice rough from having not been used, and BamBam chokes out a breathy laugh, feeling tears prick at his eyes as he grabs her hand, pressing a kiss against her knuckles.
“Hi,” he breathes, cupping the side of her face. She closes her eyes for a moment, leaning into his touch.
“What are you doing here, Bam? Shouldn’t you be in Thailand?” she asks as she shifts before letting out a groan, “And why do I hurt so much?”
BamBam can’t help the strangled laugh that escapes him as the tears finally break free. The sound wakes the other people in the room, and he hears a squeal from behind him. There’s a loud “oh shit” from the window and he looks up in time to Mark tip sideways, limbs flailing as he falls from the sill, hitting the floor with a resounding thud.
“Oh my god, Mark!” Karlie squeals as BamBam presses his mouth to her knuckles once more in an attempt to stifle his laughter, “Are you okay?”
“I’m good,” Mark groans, his voice strained as he lets a chuckling Tyler pull him up off the floor. Everyone crowds around the bed, smiles lighting up every face.
“How are you feeling, baby girl?” Tyler asks, resting a hand on his daughter’s shin.
“Like I was hit by a truck,” she responds with a grimace, “Why do I feel like I was hit by a truck?”
“What do you remember?” Carrie asks.
“Going to dinner with Bree and Zoe, and Bam calling,” Karlie says, “Nothing after that. Mom what’s going on? Why are Bam and Mark here?”
“That was-” Carrie starts but is cut off by the doctor walking in, followed closely by Josh.
“Josh? What-” Karlie starts before looking around the room, “Oh. I am in the hospital. That explains a lot. It also raises a lot more questions.”
“Hey, sis,” Josh says with a laugh, and BamBam raises an eyebrow in confusion, “I have questions, too, ya know. Like why you didn’t tell your best friend you were getting married. I had to hear it from my sister, when she tells me she’s gonna be your maid of honor.”
“Uhh, not true,” Karlie says, pointing an accusatory finger at him, “I specifically called you that night and told you.”
“Was I working?” Josh asks with a smirk.
“I believe so,” Karlie says.
“Girl, you know better than that,” Carrie says with a laugh, “It’s hard enough to get the boy to remember what you tell him when he hasn’t been working a 24- hour shift. Good luck if he has.”
“Alright, fair,” Karlie says, laughing before grimacing and placing a hand on her head, “I’ll tell you about it later, right now I want my own answers.”
“Oh my God, I feel so stupid now,” BamBam blurts out, causing everyone to turn to him, “I knew you looked familiar. You’re the best friend Kar is always talking about. How did I miss that? And how have we never met?”
“I work a lot,” Josh says with a laugh, “But you’ve met my twin sister. And my mom the other night.”
“Becky was here?” Karlie asks, and Josh nods.
“I’m done,” BamBam says, dropping his head to the bed, “This world is too small.”
Everyone laughs and the doctor steps forward, asking Karlie basic questions about herself as he shines a light in her eyes then has her follow his finger. BamBam tunes him out, unable to take his eyes off of her face. The bruising is just starting to yellow at the edges and the scrapes have scabbed. The pupil of her right eye is ringed with red, and the stitches stand out against her pale skin. But her eyes are open and she is smiling and that’s all that matters to BamBam.
The doctor leaves after a few more questions, stating that he would like her to stay for a couple more days so they can monitor her for any ill effects. Josh follows a few minutes later with promises of returning later for answers. Once they are gone, Karlie demands answers so Tyler tells the story again. Karlie listens intently, eyes widening as the story goes on. When he’s done, Karlie doesn’t say anything, just nods, fiddling with the tube attached to her arm for a moment before looking up at BamBam.
“Did you call your mom, Bam,” she asks.
“Uhh.”
“Don’t worry,” Mark says, laughing, “Yugyeom called her before we left.”
“Okay, but have you called her since you got here?” Karlie asks, and both boys’ eyes widen, “I’ll take that as a no. Go call your mom, babe.”
“I will later,” BamBam says with a pout, “She’s probably asleep. It’s fine.”
“Fine,” Karlie says as she scoots herself over a bit before patting the bed beside her, “Then get your scrawny ass over here and cuddle me.”
The others chuckle as BamBam smiles and nods before climbing onto the bed next to her. She cuddles into his side, resting her head on his chest, and he feels himself truly relax for the first time in days. He wraps his arm around her shoulders and places a kiss on the top of her head. They talk for a while, Mark regaling Karlie with stories of BamBam’s reaction to the situation and how her mom had dragged him out by his ear the day before as well as stories of the antics the rest of Got7 had gotten into in their absence. Karlie laughs and grumbles about her inability to leave the boys alone for extended periods of time as Tyler lets out a loud yawn. Carrie decides it’s time for them to head home, with Mark opting to stay with his two friends. After her parents have left, the three friends talk about anything they can think of for a while until Karlie falls asleep on BamBam’s chest. Mark dozes off in the chair a few minutes later. BamBam sits in silence for a while relishing in the feeling of her head on his chest, her warmth in his arms, before he too drifts off to sleep.
~~~~~~
Yugyeom and the other boys are just finishing up breakfast when Jackson’s phone goes off. When he shows the other boys the text from Mark asking if they’re up for a video call, everyone scrambles into the living room where Jaebeom’s laptop is set up. There’s a moment of wrestling between the five boys, all fighting for a place on the couch, which Yugyeom and Jackson lose, leaving them sitting on the floor. Jaebeom accepts the call without giving it a chance to finish the first ring and they are met with a somber looking Mark.
“Hey, guys,” he says quietly, immediately putting everyone on edge.
“What happened?” Jinyoung asks, his voice filled with worry.
Before Mark can respond, something looking suspiciously like a pillow collides with the side of his head and his facade breaks as a familiar female voice echoes through the speakers.
“Mark Tuan, if you don’t get over here with that damn phone, I am gonna come over there and kick your ass.” Karlie’s voice filters through as Mark laughs, “And bring me my pillow back.”
“The hell you are,” Yugyeom hears his best friend scold as Mark moves over to sit next to their manager. When he does, Yugyeom sees Karlie sitting up in bed with BamBam on her left side, laying on his side with his head on her shoulder. She wraps her other arm around Mark as he settles his head on her other shoulder.
The boys all cheer excitedly at the sight of their manager awake and making threats. They all bombard her with questions; how is she feeling, how long has she been awake, is she getting enough rest, when are they coming home. She laughs and answers each question as best as she can. Yugyeom doesn’t say much, focused on his best friend. The small smile gracing BamBam’s features is a welcome change from the broken look he had worn the night they had arrived and Yugyeom can’t help but smile, too.
Karlie is alive and awake, BamBam isn’t anxious anymore and all is right with the world.
he’s 17 // bambam got7
Genre: idk man.
pairing: bam bam x reader
word count: 766
background: poor little felix from stray kid’s almost felt bambam’s wrath.
* requested numbers 53 “who’s your friend” & 55 “I’m not jealous!” from this list.
Tumblr media
Glancing at the time, you exhaled deeply. Late, again. To say you were surprised would be a lie. It was Bam’s only day off this week, and he was spending the day with Yugyeom, but promised to meet you for dinner with his best friend in tow. You ran your fingers through your hair, shaking your head softly at the thought of your boyfriend. He always meant well, but there was times where you wished he could be less.... forgetful. Glancing out of the window, you gazed upon the city view. The sun had gone down, and the city was illuminated by the lights that filled the homes, businesses, and cars in the city, reflectig off the puddles that had formed along the concrete. You watched as people scurried with umbrellas, and huddled close to avoid any droplets touching them.
“y/n noona?” a voice asked. You turned your head, smiling at one of the kids from the group you did makeup on. Working for JYP as a makeup artist was rewarding, you got to see Stray kids debut, and get to be part of their team.
“Hi Felix” you said, smiling at the youthful member. He smiled, bowing politely.
“What are you doing here all alone? And your hair looks nice, did you get it done? It’s refreshing to see you outside of the company! It seems like you live there half the time” he teased. You laughed, shaking your head.
“Thank you, I got it done just to look nice... my boyfriend and yugyeom are running a little late.” you said. He nodded and looked at his watch.
“Why are you all alone Felix?” you asked.
“I’m waiting for the other members, I had a doctors appointment so I left practice early, and they said they would meet me here” he said.
“ah okay, that makes sense then” you said. The jingle of the bell hanging off the entrance door cause you and Felix to look over. Bambam shook his head, trying to get any excess water out his hair. A huge smile was painted on his face as he watched Yugyeom hunched over, his laugh filling the place of business.
“yaaaahhh Yugyeom you’re being loud” your boyfriend scolded, while keeping a smile on his face. He scanned the restaurant, eyes meeting yours. His eyes traveled to the young man, and quickly his smile faded. He walked over with Yugyeom, a cold expression on his face. His brows furrowed as he looked Felix over, confused as to why a kid could be talking to you. Felix’s face lit up at the sight of the pair. He bowed, greeting them politely. Being from the same company, the groups rarely had time to meet, he was awestruck at the sight of his sunbaenims.
“annyeonghaseyo“ he said, cheeks heavily blushed. They smiled politely  at the young boy bowing as well.
“ annyeong” they said, greeting him and Bambam fixed his to you.
“ Who’s your friend baby?” he asked.
“This is Felix, I’m on his hair and makeup team, he’s part of stray kids, the group that debut with JYP.” you said, trying to make sure that your boyfriend kept his composure. He looked over at the dongsaeng, smiling at him.
“I’ve heard of your group. You guys are talented. Do you like being an idol Felix?” he asked. Felix nodded.
“yes Hyung, we look up to your group a lot.” he said, stumbling over his words. Bambam smiled. The sound of the door caught your attention again, causing all of you to look over. The other members had walked in, and Felix looked visibly relieved.
“I should get going. Bye y/n noona. Nice to meet you hyungs” he said, bowing and walking away. Bambam took a seat next to you, softly kissing your temple
“Your hair looks nice” he said, you hummed in reply, laying your head on his shoulder. He protectively put an arm around you, glancing over his shoulder at the griup of young boys talking to Felix and glancing at your table.
“Thank you.. and you’re late” you replied.
“traffic” the pair replied. Yugyeom eyed the two of you with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“yaaaahh y/n, your boyfriend is jealous.” he teased chuckling. You felt Bambam connect his foot with Yugyeom’s knee, only causing him to laugh, while groaning in pain.
“I’m not jealous!” he said, rolling his eyes, and jutting out his bottom lip.
“I would hope not.. because he’s only 17″ you teased. Yugyeom’s laugh only got more intense.
“now I’m really not jealous” he said, softly kissing your hand. _________________
Just A Pinch
Anon Requested:  Could you do something for bambam with the prompt 196? I feel like it would fit him so well since recently he said he wanted to get a tattoo at age 22.
What is this? Me writing for once? Well here’s your drabble! I hope you like it :)
Tumblr media
Pairing: BamBam x Reader Warning: No warnings Word Count: 557 Prompt: Where a tattoo isn’t set from the moment you’re born and whatever tattoos your soulmate gets, you get it too and it’s all cool because you kind of like the designs, except you also feel the pain of getting a tattoo and that sucks because you’re kind of in the middle of an exam right now and it’s getting harder to concentrate on your work AU
You aren’t unknown to the pain of a needle entering your skin, you have felt it at the most unfortunate of times and have a few of your own, but this is a new irritating kind of pain.
You ignored your professor drone on and on about whatever your upcoming quiz is going to be on and focused on your breathing. It felt like your side was being stabbed a hundred times every second which most likely was the case because the second you rubbed your fingers over your ribcage you winced at the irritation and sting of the contact.
The spot your soulmate decided to get the tattoo was on your ribcage on the left side, as far as you know and could remember he’s only gotten tattoo’s on his left and right arms. He was building up sleeves on his arms along with the tattoos you’ve gotten on your shoulder, spine and on the back of your neck. You liked the style of tattoos he’s gotten and how both sleeves are black and white, your tattoos were colorful which gave both his and your body a nice contrast, whether he liked that or not wasn’t the problem at hand. The problem at hand was you trying to take down notes without groaning in pain. Everyone liked to poke fun at whoever was getting the receiving end of pain from their soulmate, you didn’t really care to be made fun of especially not in such a big lecture.
You made no noise, just small shallow breathes as the tattoo was being done. You thought you had gotten by without anyone noticing what was happening until the person to your left tapped on your shoulder causing you to look over.
They simply looked down at your side and spoke in a quiet voice handing you a pack of tissues they pulled from their bag. “Whatever tattoo your soulmate is getting is causing you to bleed and its getting on your shirt.” You looked down and internally groaned to see your new white blouse only to be tainted with blood from your tattoo. “Thanks...” You mumble to them as you take the tissues and press them to your side.
The lecture went on for another hour as well as your tattoo. You were able to get all of your notes down and manage to get out of the classroom without passing out, you knew ribcage tattoos hurt but you didn’t think the tattoo would hurt so bad. You rushed to the bathroom and pulled your shirt up to see an intricate feather, blood was forming and your ribs were red with irritation but it was beautiful, but something about the tattoo immediately got your attention and it’s the fact that there was actually color in the tattoo, the color wasn’t something bright but there was still color there which made you smile. You didn’t know who was on the opposite end of the feather but you knew they paid attention, even if they didn’t know you either they paid attention and that’s the only thing that mattered to you at the time.
Your side throbbed slightly but you didn’t care, what you did care about was getting to the tattoo shop you always go to. You were on a mission and the mission was to find your soulmate.
worth it
Tumblr media
pairing: bambam x reader
genre: fluff
word count: 714
Soulmate - a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner.
Ideal. Everything about this situation was less than ideal. Not only had you not found your soulmate, but you were haunted by the words tattooed on the inside of your wrist. The first words your soulmate would say to you, to be exact.
Everyone was branded with a tattoo on the inside of their wrist of the first words their soulmate would say to them. For most, it was a cute pickup line or even something obscure enough to be able to easily identify your soulmate. But you, you were a whole other story. The word “Damn” was written across your wrist in a fancy font. It left so many questions in your mind as well as confusing you beyond belief. Not to mention anytime you heard someone utter the word “damn” you started a frantic search for your soulmate. It never was your soulmate though.
You let out a sigh before pulling down the sleeves of your jacket to cover the ink.  It wasn’t a particularly cold day out, but it beat the weird stares you received if they took a look down at your wrist.
Today was your day off, one of the very few you actually got, so you decided to take a walk around town to get out of your small apartment and take in the beauty of the city you lived in. You had ventured into a busy part of town. There were a lot of shops and little cafes around as well you noticed as a park across the street. It was beautiful, even if the streets were crowded with people. You also noticed a group of guys, about seven of them, near one of the clothing shops staring at you. Your eyebrows came together as you took in their appearance, they were all wearing hoodies much like yourself, but unlike you, their eyes were shielded with sunglasses and their mouths covered by masks. They stuck out to you, even though they tried hard not to. You brushed it off, continuing on your adventure. Halfway down the street, you heard that infamous word again.
“Damn!”
You whipped around to find one of the guys from before. His eyes were no longer shaded by sunglasses and his smile was on full display due to his mask having disappeared. He still had his hood up, but you could see a bit of his fiery blue hair peeking out from beneath the fabric. You were too busy admiring his features you had forgotten that he had uttered the very same word that was etched into your skin.
Thinking of the first thing that popped into your head you responded, “Damn yourself.”
It was then that the smug smile plastered on his face disappeared and his face became paler. Walking closer to him you noticed him pull up the sleeve of his hoodie to reveal his tattoo.
There on the inside of his wrist, “Damn yourself” was written in black ink. You looked up at him in shock, his expression matching yours almost perfectly.
“I-I just thought you were hot,” he mumbled, more to himself than you.
“Looks like we both got more than we bargained for today, huh?” You smiled.
“I guess so,” he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
“I’m y/n, and you are?” You asked, sticking out a hand for him to shake.
“BamBam,” he smiled reaching out to grab your hand.
Just as your hands were about to meet, he swiped his hand up and across his face while the other arm jutted out towards the sky.
“Or as my friends call me, DabDab,” he grinned.
“No one calls you that!” You heard someone exclaim.
You peered around BamBam to find his friends peeking out from behind a corner. They tried to move before you saw them but it was too late, you knew they were there. You shook your head, a giggle falling from your lips.
“Nice to see my soulmate has a sense of humor,” BamBam chuckled.
“Nice to finally meet you, BamBam.”
You smiled up at the taller boy. Even though the tattoo had caused you your fair share of grief, you felt it was all worth it.
Candy - BamBam
Tumblr media
A/N: A BamBam request. I had great fun writing this, it is pure fluff and I hope you all love it.
You and BamBam had decided on a stay-at-home date night now he had a bit of free time. You had bought what could only be called 'too many' sweets and were snuggled up on the sofa having just finished a movie.
"I forget how good a quiet night in with you can be," he told you. "Everything else in my life is so crazy most of the time, this is a good change."
You smiled up at him from where you were leaning on his shoulder, continuing to snack on the jellybeans you had. You held one out for him and he simply opened his mouth like a hungry baby bird, waiting for you to do all the work. You laughed as you dropped the sweet onto his tongue.
"Wait, I know," said BamBam while chewing on the sweet. "Throw one, I'll catch it."
He moved away from you, sitting right on the end of the sofa, quickly swallowing the sweet he had and opening his mouth again. You then sat, positioning yourself at the opposite end.
"I hope you realise I can't aim, and this will end in disaster," you told him, preparing to throw jellybeans anyway.
The first throw wasn't as bad as you expected, but still hit your boyfriend in the eye rather than going in his mouth. You apologised quickly.
"It's fine, come on, try again!"
You did as he asked a threw another.  This time you were wildly off, but BamBam being BamBam still made a dive for it and fell off the sofa.
"Oh my God, are you ok?" you asked going to his side.
"I'm fine," he told you. "No idea where that jellybean went though," he laughed.
You rolled your eyes, and quickly suggested another game.
"Let's have a strawberry lace race!"
"You're on," BamBam agreed, sitting back on the sofa.
Settling beside him, you pulled out two strawberry laces, passing one to him and positioning the other at your lips.
"Ready? Go!" you announced, quickly sticking the end of your lace in your mouth and started pulling it into your mouth without using your hands.
BamBam however, discarded his lace on the coffee table and grabbed the other end of yours, putting that in his mouth instead. You smiled when you saw what he was doing and continued your actions. He started eating from the end he had, until your lips met in the middle, you were still smiling as he kissed you softly.
"You know," you said, pulling away, "If you wanted a kiss you could've just asked."
"Ok, I want another kiss that wasn't long enough," he responded, leaning back in and pressing your lips together with more passion than before.
"You've got to admit though, that was a good move," Bam Bam broke this kiss this time.
"Yes, very smooth," you told him. "Now come back," you demanded, placing your hands on either side of his face and pulling him into the kiss.
At first, I'd believed he was pranking me.
I'd thought, or at least hoped, that he was going to surprise me with a party, but he never did. He never even wished me a happy birthday.
Had he really forgotten my birthday?
We'd been together for almost 4 years, and now, he was forgetting my birthday?
I tossed and turned in the bed. It felt empty without him.
He was out, probably having a drink with his crew members after a long day of shooting, and I was all alone.
I looked at my watch. 00:00.
My birthday had officially passed, and Johnny wasn’t even with me.
I was boiling with sadness and anger and maybe even with a little bit of disappointment.
The bedroom door busted open. It was Johnny. He was alone.
“Hey babe,” he smiled. I looked up at him, my eyes narrowed in anger.
“I thought you were coming to watch the shoot today?” Johnny said and leaned down to meet my lips, but I turned around to face the wall just before he could kiss me.
“What’s wrong?” Johnny asked sounding concerned. I rolled my eyes and scoffed.
He really didn’t know, did he?
“Babe, what’s wrong?”
I felt him sit down on the bed and put a hand on my hip, but I flicked his hand away.
“What the fuck did I do wrong?” Johnny asked, desperate for an answer as to why I was so angry with him.
“Just-urgh, fuck you, Phillip,” I hissed through gritted teeth.
A tear rolled down my cheek and hit my pillow, but I quickly wiped it away with my hand.
“Y/N, what the fuck?” Johnny asked angrily and stood up, confused by my insult.
“It was my fucking birthday!”
I sat up and looked at Johnny.
“It was my birthday, PJ. Yesterday was my birthday, and you forgot,” I spat angrily and shook my head in annoyance.
“Oh, fuck,” Johny palmed his forehead and closed his eyes.
“Oh, fuck is right,” I said and wiped my eyes.
“Baby, I am so s-“
“Whatever,” I cut Johnny off and laid down again, my back facing him.
“Baby, please.”
His voice cracked and I could hear him breathing heavily. He rested his hand on my shoulder.
“I’m such an idiot,” he sighed and sat back down on the bed.
“A big idiot,” I mumbled and fidgeted with my fingers.
“The biggest of them all,” Johnny chuckled.
“It’s not funny,” I rolled my eyes.
Johnny reached over with both hands and managed to turn me around so that I was facing him.
“I really am sorry, baby. There’s no excuse other than the fact that I’m stressed out right now, but even that isn’t good enough, I know.”
Johnny laid down beside me, his face inches away from mine.
“I forgive you,” I mumbled and ran my fingers through his hair.
“I love you more than life itself. I don’t know if I even deserve you.”
I frowned, my chest tightening at his words. I scooted closer to him, cuddling into his chest. “That’s not true. I love you, Johnny.”
