Meet Prince Oliver!
-young gundalian prince aka Barodius' nephew. Oliver doesn't need to think much before putting his Time-stopper in action.
Goal: barely reached (with major consequences: Prince's Time-stopper will crash, and will not be able to save Alfred from the unexpected fate)
Type of villain (Oliver is antihero): Time manipulator , supporting antagonist 🔜 redeemed hero.
Take a look at his buddy, Alfie too!
Alfred is a even younger boy with personal desires. His goal is to follow Oliver's rules strictly and fight against his own home.
Goal: unfinished- unfortunately, Alfie will find his death the same way as his mistress, Kazarina.
Type of villain: loyal strategist/lab rat (for Kazarina's experiments)
-in this post you'll find their AU animals form too, just for fun! (And because im a cat artist ofc)
Well i hope you find their personalities funny, just as everyone i showed to had!
Have a peaceful day ⭐

it's pretty hard to accept as a kind of spiritual otherkin, but my mental view of my dragonkin's look is strongly affected by the media i was exposed to when i was a child, and my dragon fan phase was emerging.
so this is how i look. i drew this reference sheet recently, giving it many thoughts.
but the longer i look, the more similarities i find.
my scales are definitely blue with white belly because of saphira from the eragon movie – and books that i read as soon as i knew how to read. not even talking about the form of her neck and ratios of her body. i wanted to be like saphira more than anything, tho i hated her feathery wings in the movie (which was crap anyways. don't tell that to my five year old self tho.)
the form/colour of my wings, the narrowness of my face, my thorns and especially, the thorn under my chin seem to come from drago from bakugan (which series had been playing on cartoon network when i was very little, and needless to say, was my absolute favourite as a kid.) drago had been the comfort character through the first half of my life. i have so many drawings of him from kindergarten btw.
i was way too small when my favourite movie was the chamber of secrets (any harry potter movie is terrifying when you watch it as a three years old tbh.) anyways, the basilisk was my very first obsession. i got its teeth and form of mouth, i am just not good at drawing it. also, the lump of it's neck under the chin. this is the only harry potter part that i like. would have been even better if the basilisk were to survive.
lastly, the general outlook of myself was mostly formed by the book dragonology and the httyd books. i read through those again and again, like it was my religion. i am sure these gave me my round scales and and spikes.
i know definitely that since i can remember, i looked exactly like this. and somehow, i am still not certain if i were to watch other movies and read other books, i could have looked different, and that messes up my mind. sometimes i question myself with so unnecessary questions: was i really born like this? if not, why did i create this image? am i just a very enthusiastic fan? and even tho i know the answers don't even matter to me, the doubt still is my loyal company. something something i am just a gallery of all the things i have ever loved and shit

And another dump! :D
Mostly Riddle edition
Instead of working on my comic, I am doodling away. :'3
But we have today concept art, sum au stuff... thingies :3
First up: a new au(still up to debate?)
I really loved the headmistress Rosehearts au from @adrianasunderworld, (pls check them out, they are a great writer) which inspired me to try and see how Michael(my Mr Rosehearts oc) would look in that position instead, with a sprinkle of dragon au and sum lore. :3
In here, Mrs Rosehearts tries to use her doormat husband to get in the position of headmaster, due to his clean record, but comes to regret it as Michael FINALLY grows a spine. As for Riddle? He's trying to survive school as the most popular guy(the students just want the tea on their new headmaster). Also yuu gets proper housing and nice treatment around.
Of course, this is just a concept idea, smth that I thought would be funny. Idk if the op of the au wishes for me to retailor it a bit, but alas. :'3
2. Sum bakugan au visual lore(spoilers for those who didn't read post the doom trials arc)
As u know, in the series I did expand a bit more of the magic and how it affects both bakugans and mages alike. :'3
Still Idia took the most bcs moi trying to figure out anatomy.
And Sebek has a small design ref to another comic I drew before. :3
Out of all of them, I like Epel and Floyd's designs. They just have that nice feel to them, dunno. :'3
It's pretty fun how their outfits have a tie in their lore. Epel and Sebek had to change theirs(also a funny thing: Sebek's stickers on his jacket are to remind him of his friends/family), there's Ace who bearly changes smth and then there's Idia and Floyd, who change almost nothing. Riddle is a bit of a special case, but again, his appearance is very lore heavy so there's that :3
I really wanted a comparison in between Floyd and Riddle, since out of our 6, these 2 tie in because of their appearances. Floyd as the one who is in his element, already at peace with his appearance, while Riddle(if u know u know ;3) struggles and thus clings to an item to push his agenda forward.
Tbh, now that I'm finishing this series, I can certainly say that Ace's interactions with his mom and Floyd's arc were my favorite. :3
3. The winx au :D
One was a ref practice and one was a silly idea I had at like... Dunno... It was months ago :v
I do like the winx au, mostly for how the plot and the lore allows everyone to have their adventures. Ye, the first years were the main focus, but there's definitely plenty of room for the others too :P
I wanted more to do the wings in the first one, while in the latter I was thinking of enchantix concepts that could both pass as pretty and also as utterly embarrassing due to plot reasons :'3
4. The om! Au mcs
This is a fun duo, so why tf not?
I see these outfits as their casuals around devildom. Mammon and asmo each had a say in the choices, but I was thinking that Riddle leans into more elegant\neat looks while Ace tries to go with a less tight look.
It's bonkers since these 2 sheets were done a year or so ago I believe... Like I had these in the dust for so long, even before the explanation au chapter came out :'3
Since this is the next fic series, I think it's apropos to have them in here, as a lil visual reference.
I will probably change so goddamn much on it bcs I am in a mood for more lore
Welp! That's all!
Until next time! Buh bye!
#twisted wonderland#doodle dump :3#honestly it's a lot of Florid in here#either explicitly said or implied in the au itself

Every time I think of a season in it’s general entirety, I think How would I have done this if I was a writer on the team, while also having the final say in any and all writing decisions? The answer is usually just *picks up Drago and throws him a far enough distance away where he can’t win the season by just existing for any amount of time*
#Always throw your dragonoids onto a plush surface when doing this#They go splat a bit if they land against a hard surface. yeah they'll bounce back to shape like a stress ball but it makes them upset#bakugan#This is about. several things.#Ironically MS1 is the one I'd change the least I think?#GI. MS2. and also NV. All will be butchered so I can stitch them back together in a way that makes more sense to me#BB is where I'm unsure on what to do. ik what I want to do with the dragon twins#aka do more with their whole concept because Why Are There Only Two Known White Ones Other Than For Plot Device#but the rest of it... I'm not sure#I'm still reeling slightly from a disastrous Stellaris game with my brother. my neighbours hated me and then one of them decided to try#and eat my tiny space empire for breakfast. They halved my size and I was surrounded so I couldn't grow at all#but it Does remind me. I should make a reference sheet for the Selhine#If you saw Isa's guardian bakugan (Quetzal. Tiamat. Akupara etc)#then you might be aware that we added four other races to the attribute pile#since I've only ever mentioned Allurians and Selhine here#We also have Hestians. Musteles. Hyrrokkin. and Qhixil#(I've always pronounced that as Chee-sheel for ref)#so I have them to make ref sheets for too...#I don't say that despairingly I love all of the aliens I've made.#Some more than others because cute birb people have priority in my brain due to being made first#ANYWAY THAT'S ENOUGH OF MY RAMBLING

[Dragon AU] - Ben Tennyson Reference Sheet
TW/CW: Gore (more specifically: organ showing)
I'm finally done with this! I decided agains making this ref sheet like the one I did for a bakugan with a bunch of tiny text with info in it.
If you want to know about his backstory, I'm unable to provide that atm as I want it to be part of the story. The big text thingy is on the photo so I won't repeat myself.
Ben is a dragon alien that's part anodyte. A herritage from his grandparents in genes. You'll notice that the design is close to the one of the dragon in Alien Force, but not entirely, because I prefer him like this and I would like to have my own take on his dragon form sort of speaking. Now let's start with the Hatchling Ben. Ben's marking are little and far in between, neither of them too textured. His tail end is inexistent while the antennas look like small horns because they will grow as Ben ages. The bones on his wings, mostly the ones on the inside, are thin and weak, allowing the skin on the surface to cover them entirely. They are prone to fractures and luxations until they get strong enough for flight and the body weight. The claws from the forelegs are small and fragile as well, soon to grow stronger as these baby dragons relly on their legs to move around, mainly the forelegs by dragging their body along until they learn to stay on all 4. (They can't stay on their backlegs due to the head being a little heavier than the tail, hence unbalancing the hatchling and making them fall back down) The little star mark on his chest is actually a little 'crack' in his scales that digs till the protective layer where the scales end. This is where Ben's mana is flowing, a mark of his alien powers. The black scorched earth-like parts around the 'crack' are formed from the mana. Mana here acts just like blood vessels with oxigen or CO2: They flow in the body and return to the 'heart', the mark on Ben's chest and then flows on the outside, where mana solidifies once they meet the scales and acts like lava, cooling down until these residual parts are left, which come off rather painlessly.
Grown Up Ben (maybe 18 years old but not a adult yet) has a developed body and markings. His body has adapted so he can sneak around at night. The markings on his back and wings are expanded, so when Ben sneaks in the dark, he can be pretty much undetected, if it weren't for his chest being like a lit fire in the dead of the night. The anodyte half is what Ben has to hide most of the time, as he keeps his wings around his lower body in order to hide the glow. Ben can easily remove the scorched parts usually with his claws by simply brushing them off, but sometimes they cool off and form bigger patches, which Ben has to use his claws and dig in, in order to remove them. At times is a painful procedure.
On the right is also Unstable Ben. This is a result of Ben being thrown off-planet, on Earth, where he had no one to guide and train him to master his powers. As he grew up, Ben's anodyte powers tied up with his emotions. Mostly, his anger. When he gets angry, angrier than he should, the mana starts to overflow. Without the slow process of mana cooling off and going back into the body, the mana only goes on the outside, and it gathers, quickly expanding the mark on Ben's chest all along his underbelly and neck, basically burning out his body. Due to Ben being only half anodyte, the power can't take over his senses to absorb it back in his body in order to become full anodyte, so the mana starts leaking everywhere in solidified form like flames or less solid, energy (like it does to his claws). The mana changes colors as it keeps to overflow, and eventually until Ben dies. The mana that's overflowing will burn out Ben's body and end into a explosion, as Ben runs out of mana on the inside, pretty much like a dying star, but with Ben's instability, it's instant death. A way to prevent this is mana intake and calming Ben down, which isn't easy, but fairies (mainly Yugi, because this is for my crossover au) can provide mana well enough for Ben to be able to live until he calms down. There's also one more part to his instability, it being that Ben's organs, mainly his heart start showing, the chest literally being a see-through bubble, making Ben vulnerable for a clean kill. This would eventually stop once Ben learns to control his powers better.

Decided to crush two birds with one stone: A follow up to this, caused by this, and a man I don’t see a lot of because, honestly, when does he ever show up and actually talk, or battle? Barely.
#Bakugan#Nekomata au#Shun Kazami#Robin (mechtanium surge)#did you know we only knew his name was the same in the Japanese dub thanks to a reference sheet?#he's never mentioned by name in Japanese#Also! There are two Robins#Both of which got screwed over by gundalians#like father like son ig#This was going to be Dan but#I find a comic of two equally stoic characters really funny in combo with the quote and the catness

Okay but what if the og series continued on instead of battle planet.
After MS, I had little faith in the show(even if I love s4 to death despite its faults) it felt like it had no real direction because there was none. The ideas introduced were so intriguing and mysterious and the Roster of characters were so good and so terribly in need of development. Mechtanium surge needed time to fully develop their characters.
Would we get an entirely new story in the canon or would it be dan and company on a new adventure?
I personally wanted the old battle system to come back and it did, in bakutech, but I do realise that having a battle system like that made absolutely no sense given the high stakes and increased violence of later seasons.
Maybe the Vexos members would come with a thirst for vengeance?
Alice's story(as much as I liked her) was complete. She had accepted Masquerade as a part of her and had moved passed it to be a better and more mature person. So I feel like she wouldn't return.
The Vestals were interesting but we rarely saw anything about the actual vestal people outside of a few moments.
Gundalia and Neethia were at peace and okay.
Bakugan had wrapped up pretty nicely if I say so myself. Dan going off into the sunset made for an excellent way to actually tell us that the show we grew up with had ended.
What do you think?
Lemme tell you; I originally skipped MS. Entirely. This meant that I generally had no idea how MS2 ended.
I burst out laughing in disbelief when I heard about it ending like a cliche western. But no; that actually happened.
As a kid, watching amvs in the early 2010s, and coming across the mechtagon that way, was like a punch in the face. They'd added mechs. Personally speaking, I super don't like mechs (or mecha anime by proxy but that's unimportant), so I was basically set to not return to watching the series.
Mechtanium Surge appearing as two seasons in a trench coat didn't help it; two seasons of 52 episodes had to be cut down to 26 or so episodes each to even fill a single season. That'll cripple any character development for characters only meant to be around for a season; it's probably why we had the fun of only figuring out Robin's name in the jp dub was Robin through reference sheets. The jp dub never mentioned him by name.
MS should've been a full version of part 1. Part 2 should've been a different season entirely.
Even better? Have Gundalian Invaders (and MS) take place later. There's 4 or so games worth, by that point, of story that goes completely unused for the anime.
Leonidas? The Regulars? The Hurranians? Oh, and don't get me started on Abyss- the Earth's core? Is she not important enough, despite being equivalent to the perfect core?
This may be me liking to occassionally torture characters while I'm writing coming through, but I feel like Drago should've gotten his comeuppence for absorbing so much power; Naga exploded when trying to become the perfect core. I'm aware Drago is much more built to handle the perfect core (he has an attribute for starters), but shouldn't the constant energy absorption every year or so have him eventually explode?
Bakugan don't (and shouldn't, because Drago has plot armour here) have infinite power; give them more than they can handle and they explode. Drago absorbed the perfect core, all attribute energies (apparently? When the BT system exploded? That definitely wouldn't have consequences /s), the element, the gate and key thing, Dharak's half of the gate and key, and the power of friendship (by the way the fight against Mechtavius goes, only.)
That's 10 different powers, 11 if you separate the perfect core into it's parts (not counting PoF here.) That's a recipe for disaster.
If there was ever a way to demonstrate why biting off more than you can chew was a bad idea, then having Drago explode over his 10 different external powers would definitely be it.
And they're free once he's exploded, too; these things wander. The Battle Brawlers would technically have a self made mess on their hands.
Fixing the mess they caused, because why is everyone relying on a space faring baby civilisation to solve their problems and ultimately take this massive source of energy for their help, which, I'm going to be honest?
They didn't deserve those powers (I'm aware the Element was given to Drago, so Neo's capture was no longer such an obstacle, and also Neo had no better options.)
I know it's cruel to kill a fan favourite, but it has a lot of story potential. A lot of potential. We'd get to see what Dan would go with in Drago's stead, for one. It also gets the brawlers to revisit older season's planets so they can get the wandering powers back, and this time give them to different bakugan (Ingram is gonna have words about being given his attribute energy back, I feel?)
TlDr: we're extending it by extending MS to two seasons, and making Drago into a piñata, that's above the slipperiest floor, and we're trying to grab the wrapped up chocolates from inside before the dog eats them.
In otherwords we're exploding him to create chaos that we can fix, with alien planet visiting involved. Also perfect excuse for Alice to return.
#bakugan#ask the tsuri#look. he shouldn't have still been alive by MS. That's all I'm saying#I'd love to see Taylean and Tristar reacting to old vestroia#since they're neathian and gundalian respectively#so the six planets and hyperspace would probably freak them out#I'd give a whole new story to new characters#but it occurs after. or even during later seasons#so that we get an outsider's perspective on the brawler's actions#i think having the new main characters all wake up from Kazarina's mind control would be a good place to start from in that case#and then stumbling through MS again#but from an outsider's perspective#i can't imagine the interspace being a warzone is any fun#then MS2. and it's new interspace#so many possibilities...

I genuinely want to know what happened to the budget that they had after season 1. Like Bakugan was REALLY popular and made a lot of money.
Why couldn't some of it be put into the anime??? Promotion in Japan???? Seasons longer than 52 episodes????? The show actually looking like a modern day anime?(okay yes 2006 was a while ago,but GI has no excuse for how low quality it was)
Im am in no way an expert on animation but I really like MS's animation. But it was still dull and bland colour wise. Take yugioh zexal, for example, the show Is bright and colourful(and realesed around the same time as GI.)
But I also have some positives ofcourse, the 3d animation was very good to be fair(Dryoid hit different)
The bakugan were really expressive in every season past 1, in ball form. Remember that really bad drago? I do.
Also, I really want a dub of Bakutech but the likeness of that happening is next to nothing.
In conclusion, thank god for the reboot actually being C R I S P, and doing something with its budget.
Ok. I’m no expert on this, and I know nothing about Nelvana, especially about what they did with the series before it was rebooted, but, if I had to guess...
The budget was probably spent on the anime after season 1. The bakugan had CGI models and were no longer drawn as blobs, and the other characters, especially Shun, had consistent designs (I’d like for everyone to look the boy up and see his reference sheet; his hairstyle was never consistent, except for in the VG, where he had a model.)
This is a personal thing, but I vastly prefer the legacy art style to the reboot art style. I also vastly prefer organic beings with flesh and keratin feathers, to organic beings that look like robots.
The aesthetics in the reboot aren’t great. They look... how to put it... it doesn’t have much bite? It appears like it’s supposed to look cute and cool at the same time, and misses both marks, to me. They look squishy; kind of like a melted chocolate bar?
I’m whole heartedly ignoring the whole Shun debacle. That could’ve been solved by not calling him Shun Kazami, or having a different character who actually emulated legacy Shun, but eh... I like both versions of the boy, I just wish that they weren’t the same character in name.
I think the quality in Legacy came down to Dan’s plot armour, and power scaling. Drago especially threw a wrench into that, and then there was Farbros’ 4600gs. Power scaling really stung the series, even if most bakugan literally explode if they exceed 1000gs by too much. Naga. We saw Naga explode because he got too powerful for himself to handle.
(I don’t know what the specific number would be/is? Whatever, if a bakugan is too powerful, its body literally explodes because it can’t hold the power it has efficiently enough. It’s the only defence the series internally had against power scaling, that is until we get into lore mechanics that override that defence, like the mechtagon, and “ultimate” bakugan in general. Not to forget the Descendants; Dharak and Dragonoid. They can infinitely evolve because they’re descended from Eve’s first bakuga-- ugh... it’s messy and was unnecessary.)
While the stories of neither are nothing to write home about (none of us like to see MS as canon, and for good reason), I find Legacy to be better.
Speaking of BakuTech and dubs/adaptions... I’m surprised that there were no attempts to make an anime adaption/special based on the VGs, especially given that the first VG was actually written by the show writers.
Or, and while I’d prefer not to mention it, but it was only ever in manga form, The Evo Tournament. I’ve heard it’s a little fanfictiony (obviously; it wasn’t written by the show writers? I believe the “fanfictiony” comment was to do with fanfic that was written when Legacy was still going. Wattpad is a goldmine for this, if anyone is curious about the quality bar for Legacy contemporary fanfics.)
The main point of contention for the Evo Tournament is characters being out of character (mostly in lieu of Shun), and the protagonist, Katie Lowery, being Y/N-like. She’s childhood friends with Shun, if that tells you anything (if it does, then it should tell you that all the battle brawlers are Y/Ns! They’re all childhood friends with him!)
Bringing this back to the question. While the reboot is doing damn good for the TCG, the anime is not great, to me at least, even if it’s doing things with the budget. Doing things with the budget doesn’t always equal quality, even if it usually does.
#long post#long question? long answer!#Bakugan#Ask the Tsuri#also! 52 episodes a season equals a year of episodes#which is actually quite long for most anime#a lot of anime only exist for 12 episodes! only 12!#52 is 40 more episodes than that! It's actually quite a hefty amount.#Speaking of promotions in Japan; why did Japan get the evolved resistance bakugan only? w h y

[Realistic]- Skyvern Headshot
You can either consider this realistic or semirealistic, one of the two anyway, because the original character design is anime-style. Still couldn’t make it completely perfect because I can’t layer everything perfectly as I would be able to in digital. I think this took me 6 or more hours to make it. This is GuiFFI's bakugan, Skyvern (link to reference sheet), and how she would look from the anime in real life. And her eyes, they have some shades of white. Even in darkness, light still exists, you know? I used only the yellow from the eye because I wanted it to catch the attention of the viewer. The parts that I used as reference for her look here are: - eagle mouth - animal fur - small feathers - pheasant feathers - diamond gem and rounded gem - dragon eye and scales The photo is at full resolution, so you can zoom in and see all the details! (if you're on pc) I designed the bakugan based on 2 bakugans from the actual anime/cartoon. And since I didn’t want to sell her to some random stranger once I got kind of attached to her, I gave her to my bff :)

Ok so I didn’t go any further with this, but under the cut I’ll show one (Strikor) and just. ramble. I also yell about Sky Raiders and other gimmicks at the end.
This boi, this draconic boi, is a Strikor! It should be noted, a lot of the entries on the bakublasters are very small comparitive to a lot of bakugan, especially anime appearing bakugan, doubly so for main character bakugan.
The little rectangular board at the front that juts out? That thing is basically the launcher, and, as far as I can tell, is moved back into place (for closing) when the disc is reinserted into the massive slot in the front.
This closed guy doesn’t have the disc in, for example, and the board is jutting out, which is the point of assumption on the disc.
It’s unfortunate the disc seems to be required, since it’d be very interesting to play for a Lowest-G-power wins trap (even if it is noted that Pyrus Strikor is 860g, and Haos Strikor is 880g. Obviously, at the end of MS2, there’d been a lot of power creep, but these bakugan are still on the stronger side.)
I didn’t mention it before, but you get two discs per bakublaster, even if they only have one slot, and yes, they have different g power between them (pyrus is noted to have a 50g disc and a 70g disc), which... makes them questionably useful under the circumstances of having the right deck to pull off a lower-G-power victory, especially given the myriad of possible cards by MS2.
Anyhow, how would I possibly have them work in the anime, assuming I had the ability to insert them in there?
Ok, one, I didn’t realise Strikor had a second pair of wings/had feet when I was making a possible full form design, but that’s... fine. And two, there are weapons, in green, at the bottom. What’s up with that?
You remember how I mentioned there were two discs per bakublaster you bought? The idea was that, upon standing, a portion of the bakugan’s power would separate from the main body (but not detract from the G-power), similar to the physical game version. This means that a Pyrus Strikor might stand with 910g, with 50g of its power becoming a weapon, or with 930g, with 70g of its power becoming a different weapon.
Weapon, by the way, is meant as in “any means of defence that could do harm,” which means that shields are included here.
The discs, in the design sheet, become a spear (disc 1) or a bow and several energy arrows (disc 2). I imagine this either would depend on the person using Strikor, or on Strikor being a Strikor, irrelevant of its own personality.
Given just how much the battle brawlers were having to defend themselves in MS2 (for reference, watch the episode The Prodigal Bakugan - it’s the episode where Shun fights two whole bakugan by himself), it makes more sense to have a bakugan that can help a smaller being (a brawler, if you will) defend itself by giving a fraction of its power to give them something to defend themselves with.
I think, in the case of MS2, I’d prefer a bakugan that gives some of its power, disembodied, to help me defend myself, than a Bakugan That Jumps When It Stands.
Sky Raiders may have helped figure out what works (possible inspiration for the reboot’s ultra bakugan), but, in terms of what was going on in the anime, they were sorely obvious in only being a gimmick, rather than a gimmick that ended up affecting the plot in any way.
Gimmicks that do that?
The attribute fly wheel on Preyas, Elfin, and... kinda Elico, affect plot back in Battle Brawlers (somewhat in NV too). It’s what garners Klaus’ interest in Preyas to begin with, and is used when defeating bakugan that Marucho would otherwise lose to. While I’d argue that it should be pearl treatment bakugan, translucent bakugan (some could argue that it’s only clear bakugan, and not translucent ones) are in the plot massively, even if there’s only two: Wavern and Naga. Wavern and Naga are White Ones, attributeless bakugan, which became translucent bakugan in the physical game.
Bakugan fusing together, such as Meta Altair, and the maxus bakugan, tied in directly to NV1′s mechanical bakugan problem. This was shown later in completely organic bakugan through Ninjutsu Master Ingram in NV2, implying that it wasn’t something that could only be done through mechanical bakugan.
While more battle based than actually moving the plot, bakugan that have buttons in the physical game had abilities that triggered the “button”, such as Phosphos’ extra heads, or Avior’s neck. Battle Gear isn’t particularly plot relevant in GI, as it was in NV2 (where it was the only way into the Alternative.)
MS1... is interesting here. Bakumutants, the predecessor to the combiners in BakuTech, are less plot relevant than the bakunanos, of which are contributing to chaos within the interspace, and were only reluctantly used by Shun. Reluctantly! Bonus points to the fact that bakunanos were made by an AI, and weren’t really tested. The mechtagon, as much as I hate their anime incarnation, and them in general, are massive in the plot, to the point where I’d have to make a whole separate post on that alone - MS2 continues this, horribly enough, so this’d definitely need its own post.
Baku Sky Raiders do not do anything much, other than throw themselves at the opponent. Arguably, you could do this anyhow, without a specialised bakugan for it, and they’d still be more useful, especially in the physical game, where Sky Raiders were nigh impossible to use.
Anyway. Rambling mostly over- I just wish these guys weren’t European exclusive, or released at the very end of Bakugan’s original lifespan.
Wondering how aware people are of the bakublaster series, which included two whole Drago evos
But was reportedly not only Europe exclusive, they were also released around MS2.
#Bakugan#BakuBlaster#Strikor got a design because it's the guardian bakugan of an OC. that's it that's literally the only reason for it#Strikor#Also. Two whole dragonoid evos! Blast Dragonoid and Torpedor Dragonoid!#Interestingly Torpedor is listed as a variation to Blast - this means Torpedor is the evo for Blast#As if Drago didn't have enough evolutions...#Look I just think Dan should get a new trident#Ponk/Mycomni actually pointed out in the first discussion about the weapon idea (in the Battle Bitches server)#that a trident is a defensive weapon. not an offensive one#As if Dan wasn't basically as hard to kill as a cockroach#But I did suggest that if Drago did become a bakublaster. Dan would get a trident and a shield as the two discs#I know there are shonen protags that do get the defensive weaponry. but having Dan have the defensive options is. strangely fitting#He tries to protect people. even from his own mental problems. ones that harm him as he keeps them to himself#so having that physically embodied is super good#I know mentioning that will probably warrant questions on what the others got#I only decided on Shun because he felt obvious. Bow and Arrows#and also clawed gauntlets#the man is an antibakugan weapon in and of himself#of course he gets as much offensive power as he can - up close or from afar#also. what was up with Shun in the Prodigal Bakugan. Glowing green kunai? Shadow cloning yourself??? Shun looked like a fuckign magical girl#the whole time and you can't convince me otherwise#ok tag rambles over I will see you when I next remember to post stuff
