ask game -
it's pyjama day at ua. bkdk show up wearing the same subtly nerdy all might pyjamas. all might forces them to take a picture together at the end of the day, eventually becoming both of their lockscreens
OOOOOOOOO, interesting interesting
Pajama day for Class 1-A isn't anything unusual. After all, they see each other in the dorms wearing pajamas all the time. So, as per Mina's suggestion, they all show up to school in pajama day in hero-inspired pajamas.
Todoroki misunderstood the instructions and showed up to class wearing the Shoto pajamas that had come out earlier that summer. Kaminari showed up in Present Mic-inspired pajamas, even going as far as styling his hair similarly and poorly drawing on a mustache. Kirishima, naturally, showed up in Crimson Riot pajamas, giving everyone in class a Crimson Riot sticker. Where did he get them from (seeing as they're not official Crimson Riot merchandise)? Why does he have so many? How did they all fit in his pockets? Nobody knows. Shinso unknowingly matched with Kaminari in a way, showing up to class in Eraserhead-themed pajamas (a black turtleneck pajama and black sweatpants) and the dorm coffee kettle. When Katsuki walked into class, there was a collective sigh of defeat. Mina scolds him for not wearing a hero-inspired pajama, to which Katsuki responds with a "fuck off, Pinky." His pajama was one the class has seen every now and then: a black sleeveless tank top with striped pants, colored black, white, yellow, red, and blue. "Good morning everyone!" Everyone recognizes the voice instantly, heads snapping towards the door, wondering how far Izuku went with the-- The class collectively blinks twice. Izuku was wearing...Katsuki's pajama? "Deku-kun," Uraraka starts, breaking the silence. "Didn't you get the message in the group chat?" Izuku blinks twice, clearly confused. "Uh, yeah, I think so. It was about pajama day, right?" he asks, pulling out his phone. "Guys, I have a great idea. For pajama day tomorrow, how bout we all wear hero-inspired pajamas?" He glances up from his phone. "And then there's a bunch of people agreeing. Did I miss something?" Mina frowns. Izuku didn't miss anything in the group chat. "No, you didn't," Uraraka says. "I guess we're all just surprised that you didn't wear something that...stands out more." "Oh!" Izuku's eyes light up the way they usually do when he's about to talk about heroes. "This is official All Might merchandise, actually! It came out as a limited edition set last summer. There were only 25,000 of these sold in Japan. I almost wasn't able to get them!" Mina's eyes widen and snap towards Katsuki, whose face was glued to his phone, ears sporting a bright crimson flush. "Blasty! I didn't know you were such an All Might fanboy like Mido," she teases, wiggling her eyebrows when he makes eye contact with her. "You have it too, Kacchan?!" Izuku exclaims, rushing over towards him. "That's so cool, we're matching!" Katsuki doesn't meet Izuku's eyes for long. "Yeah, I guess," he mumbles out, fingers absently tapping at his desk. Before Izuku could say anything else, Aizawa walks into class and they all take their seats. Mina doesn't miss the way Katsuki's ears and neck remain a rosy hue for the rest of class, while Izuku keeps glancing over from the chalkboard to Katsuki's back, a soft, fond smile on his face.
----
When All Might shows up at the dorms to join the class for dinner (an almost weekly occurrence for the class), he asks to take pictures of everyone in their hero-inspired attire. Once he notices Izuku and Katsuki's unplanned coordination of outfits, he insists that they take a photo together (despite Izuku's flustered "there's no need!" and Katsuki's grumbles of "no fucking way" and "die"). Once All Might is about to leave, Izuku quietly approaches him and mumbles something to him. All Might smiles and nods, giving him a thumbs up. After All Might has started down the path to the faculty living quarters, he hears his name being called out. To his surprise, he finds Katsuki, whose hands are shoved deep into his pockets, shifting nervously back and forth. "How can I help you, young Bakugo?" he asks. After a moment of silence, Katsuki mumbles out his request. For a moment, it takes All Might by surprise, but he quickly flashes a grin and another thumbs up. "I'll be sure to have that sent to you tonight." Katsuki mutters out a "thank you" before hurrying back to the dorms. Ah, All Might muses. Young love.
----
That night, Izuku and Katsuki go to bed with new phone lockscreens, a warm fluttering filling both their chests as they drift off into sleep.

How? a bakudeku shortfic
Fandom: My Hero Academia, Boku no Hero Academia
Rating: T
Genre: Hurt/Comfort
Words: 710
————————————————-
Katsuki shuffled his feet, the dim lights shining through the frosted glass of the dorms iluminating the boy standing in front of him. He couldn’t put it off anymore, it’s been long enough to where he couldn’t bear it anymore.
“How?” He asked quietly, not looking up from the ground.
Izuku looked up at the sudden voice, he didn’t expect him to be so calm yet he could tell for weeks something has been bothering him. He tilted his head slightly, looking at Katsuki with concern. “How? How what? What’s going on Kacchan?” He wanted to press more but chose not to take the chance to anger the boy in front of him.
He took a breath before looking up, seeing the concern in Izuku’s eyes he looked away, “How do you not hate me or resent me? Even with my apology nothing changed so why forgive me? After everything I’ve done you still choose to forgive me. How?”
Izuku froze, the sudden vulnerability of Katsuki in front of him holding him in place. “Kacchan, you know that I never hated you for anything you did-“
“AND HOW DID YOU NOT HATE ME?” Izuku took a step back at the outburst. The feeling of anger isn’t there as expected, it’s shame and guilt. “Deku I told you to kill yourself. You should hate my guts.” He turned away before taking a seat on the steps of the building.
The tension between the two could be cut with a knife. Izuku thought they were well past this but as he realized, the words Katsuki had said in the past still haunted him. He sighed quietly, taking a seat on the steps next to him. The other didn’t move away.
“Kacchan. Ever since we were kids, I’ve always looked up to heroes, you know this of course. All Might was my hero and my idol but when I got recognition from him, I didn’t feel satisfied or complete and it took me a while to realize why.” Katsuki glanced over at him, Izuku wasn’t looking at him but at his hands. Finding the right words, he continued, “I realized that, while he was my idol, the only person I ever wanted to be recognized by was you. No matter how mean or rude you were to me I just wanted you to acknowledge me again.” Izuku had a sullen look on his face at that moment, “I couldn’t hate you because you were my true hero, even if you were mean you still were my one true constant in life.” Izuku was looking at him now, trying to read his expression.
Katsuki on the other hand was looking at him with shock and what seemed to be an understanding. “I guess I thought that if I kept at it, maybe one day you’d see me again and I’d be complete again,” He smiled, “You were just so strong and never let anyone talk you down and I admired that. You always stood your ground and it made me realize how much I love you.” Izuku smiled again looking over at him, Katsuki’s face dusted with a light pink blush at the words. It’s been way too long since he had heard someone say they loved him. He wasn’t about to loose this moment.
“Izuku, I know already said it but, I really am sorry for-“ He stopped talking as he felt soft lips on his cheek, the moment gone before he could really register it.
“I know Kacchan, and I already forgave you a long time ago. I didn’t want to loose the constant in my life so I moved on and focused on the present.” Izuku said softly, smiling at him. He hesitatingly held his hand as a form of comfort. Katsuki, coming back to reality, let go of the breath he didn’t know he was holding before looking up at him. They held a gaze before he glanced down at his lips, then his eyes again. “You missed.”
“What?” Izuku said confused.
“I said you missed.” Katsuki said challengingly, a small smirk on his face.
Izuku’s eyes shot open as he realized, and finally closed the distance.
“I’ve always seen you Izuku. I just wasn’t ready to acknowledge myself yet.”

Day 9 @flufftober “love/annoyance at first sight” Bakudeku Drabble
“Damn it!” Bakugou growls as he stares at the sheet of paper on the bulletin board. The first semesters student rankings has just been posted and to his irritation, he places second. “Who the hell is Izuku Midoriya?!”
At Bakugou’s growl, the gathering of students part like the Red Sea at Moses’ command, and everyone turns to look at a green-haired man at the back of the crowd. Amongst the whispers, the poor guy having been singled-out is like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming truck, wide-eyed and petrified, he swallows hard and slowly, tentatively raises his hand. “Um… t-that’s me.”
Heads turn like a wave from back to front, front to back, staring between the two men, waiting for the next move. Most of the student body have gone to school with Katsuki Bakugou since primary school and are curious as to who this newcomer is. Those in Midoriya’s home room know the boy is brilliant, but now it’s confirmed. They hold their collective breaths, waiting for a bloodbath… but are only returned with a confused silence from the reigning Bakugou.
Seconds tick by as a staring contest forms between Midoriya and the blonde who’s face has flushed pink and mouth hangs agape. Bakugou is stunned silent at the freckle-faced mouse who’s kinda… cute! Big, emerald eyes shining from the hint of moisture brought on by fear and messy hair that looks unkempt, yet so soft and touchable, drawing him in… wanting to run his fingers through—
“Did I do something wrong?” Midoriya questions to break the stalemate. “I-I didn’t mean to make anyone mad.”
Right, rival! Bakugou snaps out of it. Damn, what is he doing thinking this guy is cute! Cute! “Oi! I’m the top student here!” He finally responds. “Who the hell do you think you are coming to this school and think you can beat me!”
“Eep!” Midoriya flinches back a step and puts his hands up in defense. “I’m just doing my best, I-I don’t even know who you are.”
More whispers abound from the crowd, how does he not know who Bakugou is they gossip. Most of the high achieving students are super competitive and well aware of who their rivals are and yet this guy claims not to have immediately figured it out when he arrived at school? He must be playing dumb, hoping it’ll take some of the heat off.
“Tch!” Bakugou sneers and walks right up to Midoriya. “Well, now you know, so you best stay out of my way nerd!” He then shoves past and heads to his home room, leaving the crowd of gawkers shocked.
“Whoa,” one of the students exclaims as the crowd begins to disburse. “You’re damn lucky he didn’t destroy you.”
Midoriya breathes a sigh of relief. Truthfully, he’s still in shock, confused, and yeah, he too thought he’d get hit or something. But he’s not going to let fear stop him from doing his best in school either. Maybe he’ll try to ask to this Bakugou guy later when things have calmed down. “Yeah, me too,” Midoriya agrees and heads in the opposite direction for his home room.
Unbeknownst to the the other students, the moment Bakugou is out of eye and ear shot, he stops and leans against a wall to collect himself. He’s still pissed about the score, but now he’s even more annoyed with himself over falling for a guy at first sight. “Get a grip, idiot!” He chastises himself. Just because Midoriya looks like a lost puppy he’d take home to cuddle with, doesn’t mean he’s in love! Damn right! “There’s no way,” Bakugou repeats in a failing effort to convince himself. “No way at all…” But too bad for the blonde, the arrow has already hit its mark whether he likes it or not.

After the fifth time that Katsuki pops up at UA, surprising Izuku with Bento for lunch, calling him "sensei" in a cocky(affectionate) tone, Kouta just stops at Izuku's desk on his way out of the room and asks him point blank,
"So are you and DynaMight actually dating, or what?"
Izuku sputtering and dropping all of his paperwork and avoiding the question out of sheer dumbfoundedness.
Then, the sixth time that Katsuki barges in, as he is thrusting the bento into Izukus hands as usual, Kota raises his hand, and stands up from his seat and yells out,
"DynaMight, sir!! Pardon me, but are you dating Deku-Sensei??" And the whole class gasps and whispers. Katsuki appears just as dumbfounded as he looks wide-eyed at Kouta and the students.
"Kouta!" Izuku balks, but then Katsuki suddenly grins mischievously. Izuku doesn't trust that look...
"Well, brat, maybe I SHOULD date him, then I could make sure Sensei doesn't forget to eat every day, right??" Katsuki looked entirely too pleased at the louder gasps and chatter that came from the students. He has a wicked grin as he turns his sharp red eyes back to Izuku.
"K-Kacchan, what are you doing?!" Izuku stammers, beet red and grabbing his arm. "This is not the time for--"
"If you don't want me disrupting your class, then stop leaving your Bento in the fridge!!" Katsuki scolds Izuku before swinging himself back out of the open window. There was a fresh wave of gasps and excited murmuring at the insinuationthat the two lived together. "We're ROOM MATES, OK?" He adds hastily, pointing his finger at the noisy classroom of kids.
He drops out the window and blasts off.
Izuku is left, stood at his desk, hands planted and hanging his head, trying to collect enough of himself to quell the riotous theories now flying around his classroom.
Kouta stands at his own desk amidst his unruly classmates, eyes narrowed as if he had just realized something, "I knew it!" He hisses.
"You're the worst," Izuku texts Katsuki later.
"I know" katsuki replies.
"Now eat your fuckin food or I'll stop making it for you."

May I request lee bakugo + bakusquad + midoriya + 92: “Hey are you guys okay? I heard yelling (from the hall / outside) and— oh.”
Explosively Ticklish [part 1] [part 2] [part 3] [part 4] [part 5] [part 6]
Prompt 92 - “Hey are you guys okay? I heard yelling from the hall / outside and— oh.”
A/N: gang tickling for my sweet sweet stubborn lee Bakugo ?? <3 1000 kisses for you anon. This one uhhh.. got longer than expected. So it’s under a cut (~850 words) [continued, part 2]
“Hey are you guys okay? I heard yelling from the hall and— oh.” He freezes.
Bakugo looks up at him with a searing glare, his entire face red and his eyes scrunched in what almost appears to be …mirthful.
Deku stares, blinks.
Kaminari, Kirishima, Sero, and Ashido stare back at him for a beat. Then, they burst into laughter, continuing what they were doing before he interrupted, which appears to be trying to pin Bakugo to the floor.
Midoriya comes back to himself in time to see Kirishima and Sero pinning Bakugo’s hands up high above his head as he screeches at them to ‘fuck off’ to no avail.
“W-what are you doing?” Izuku asks, dumbfounded. “Are you…?”
“This blasty jerk has tickled us for the last time! It’s time we got our revenge!” Mina decrees.
“Shut up!” Bakugo yells in response. “Get off me!” He tugs at his now pinned arms. “—Stupid! Won’t even work!”
Izuku giggles at that, taking a step closer before he even thinks about it. “That’s pretty wishful thinking, Kacchan.” He snickers quietly and leans down.
“Nonono fuck off, nerd!” Katsuki hisses as Deku approaches. Bakugo sputters, barely holding in a laugh when he realizes Mina and Denki each have a leg pinned down and they’re reaching his knees to squeeze and tickle. Deku kneels beside them, smiling with a hint of a blush under his freckles. Two more hands join in - Hanta and Ejirou - poking under his arms. “Fuck you guys! D-Don’t!” He whines, biting his lip.
“Ha! Not ticklish, my ass!” Kirishima cheers, digging in more to try and get a bigger reaction. Katsuki is tense, his eyes squeezing shut now. He holds his breath.
Izuku presses his fingers in a hesitant wiggle against Kacchan’s stomach, which sucks in slightly at the touch.
“Mmmnnnn-” Bakugo grunts, shaking his head as he struggles against his friends and the laughter bubbling in his chest. “Pff-nnnno—”
“Aww, you’ll feel better if you just laugh, Kacchan~.” Deku teases, gaining confidence in both his voice and tickling. His fingers skate across Bakugo’s middle as he jerks minutely side to side.
Bakugo shakes his head vehemently, growling to cover up a stray laugh. “Stop!” It comes out so high pitched and bubbly that it doesn’t sound like Bakugo at all.
“Not yet, big guy.” Sero says, scratching over to Katsuki’s neck, getting a scrunch for his efforts.
“Awww, he’s totally breaking!” Mina asserts, looking over her shoulder. “I’m gonna try his feet!” She leans forward just as Bakugo scrunches his toes. “How bout it, Blasty? Ticklish here?”
“No!” He can only safely respond with one syllable at a time, it seems.
Kaminari follows her lead, leaning down to grab Bakugo’s other foot. They each try to pry back the respective toes of their captive foot — successfully, much to Bakugo’s distress. When two sets of nails start scratching the balls of his feet, Bakugo shouts again. This time, it could almost be called a shriek.
“Come on, don’t worry, you can be ticklish and still be manly.” Kirishima assures his friend with a smirk, tickling more intently under his arm now.
Izuku takes a few moments looking over Kacchan’s body, seeing what the others are doing. They’re close. He smiles softly and positions both of his hands right at the bottoms of Bakugo’s ribs. He squeezes the bones gently, wiggling his fingers.
“HA-noOO! Shahahaddup! Nohoho! Fuhuhuhuck!” Katsuki swears as the ballooning laughter inside of his forces its way out. It’s all too much to hold back. There’s too many of them. They’re doing too many things. It’s too many spots. His brain fuzzes over like he’s taken a few too many loose volts from Dunce Face. He hears mirthful laughter, and realizes a second later it’s coming from him. Though, the others are laughing too, somewhere beyond him, unreachable.
“Ha! Oh my gosh! Your laugh is soooo cute!” Mina cheers, still tickling away. She’s trying to pry her way under his toes.
“Seriously, I can’t believe I was scared of you a few months ago!” Denki chides, tickling over the top of his foot. “Listen to that giggle!”
“Fuhuhuhuhuhu- hahaha k-ha off!” Bakugo wheezes between laughs.
“Seriously, we have to get you back more often.” Sero beams down at him, tickling between his armpits and his upper ribs, which really seem to get him going.
“That’s for sure!” Kirishima smiles, shark-like.
Izuku laughs lightly along with them, tickling random spots along Kacchan’s ribs and stomach. He pokes at his bellybutton and hips a few times, getting plenty of squirming for his efforts. Bakugo shouts empty threats through his laughter, squeaking and embarrassed until his friends finally have pity on him after a while of exacting their revenge. They’ll all pay for this. That for sure. But they’ll enjoy it while it lasts! That’s for sure too!

Quirkless!Izuku who has a Dynamight-themed keychain hanging off of his phone, a Dynamight-themed pop socket on the back that just partially covers a picture of Dynamight that can't be found anywhere online...
He wears Dynamight merch near-daily, the pieces are always too big for him as if they're not his own. He always has to scoop the sleeves of the hoodies or sweaters he wears up to use his hands, but it doesn't stop him from wearing the clothes.
To the average person, he just looks like an obsessed fanboy. He's known online as a stalker because he's always somewhere in Dynamight's vicinity. Paparazzi have caught him close to the hero's house before. He always seems to get lucky too, winning various giveaways and even having a few interactions with Dynamight online. Fans hated him.
One day, Dynamight finally attends a convention and of course, Izuku is spotted there with a VIP pass that includes a meet and greet.
People are obnoxiously rude to him, whispering about him in the queue for the meet and greet but it doesn't seem to phase him. One of the volunteers assisting with the meet and greet is clearly a Dynamight fan and recognises Izuku, they refuse to let him go into the room with him alone (though Dynamights security is there, so not really alone).
They're shocked to see Dynamight's attitude do a 180 when Izuku walks in. Dynamight actually approaches him, a cheesy smile on his face as he pulls him into a hug. They're ushered out by security before they can see anymore.
The story gets out, people accuse Izuku of using a quirk on Dynamight that forces him to be nice to him. He hadn't acted that way to any other fans, he'd just been as polite as he needed to be.
Dynamight's panel is suddenly cancelled and there's uproar. People are blaming Izuku, who conveniently hadn't been spotted in a while.
Then there's a tweet from Dynamight's official Twitter account, an account that's rarely used.
'Leave Izuku the fuck alone, never doing another con again for you ungrateful fucks bullying my HUSBAND. He doesn't even have a stupid quirk to quirk me with, idiots, but that's what makes him perfect. Fuck off.'
The post had pictures attached, of Izuku and Katsuki together at various points in their lives. The most notable one was recent, including a scar Katsuki had only received a month ago, it was a mirror selfie, Izuku standing in front of Katsuki with the phone partially blocking his face. Both of them were holding their hands out, showing off the rings on their fingers.
The tweet gets deleted an hour later, Dynamight's PR team were scrambling to cover it up but the damage was done. It was broadcast on the news within the hour, on the front page of various newspapers the next day.

bkdk drabble, no specific tags, just fluff
katsuki's pov
Tumblr media
"I love you." The words came out before Katsuki could even think them. He felt his face heat up rapidly and he was sure he was as red as his eyes. He could feel Izuku's gaze burning into him. He did everything he could to avoid looking into those big, beautiful viridian doe eyes, fearing he'd crack and melt from the sight alone.
"C-come again?" Izuku asked quietly, stuttering.
Right. Figured the nerd wasn't listening, but... he couldn't bring himself to play it off. He had to say it again. "I love you, Izuku." He glanced at him, but his gaze was magnetically pulled in by the pretty face next to him.
Izuku's eyes were wide, his lips ever so slightly parted, face red. "I-I'm sorry.. one more time?"
The hell? he thought, feeling a bit frustrated at the fact that Deku would dare tune him out. "I love you," he said more boldly this time.
The castleton shakily inhaled, pupils blown out. "Again." His request was quiet; almost too quiet to be heard.
...
Katsuki began to laugh, realising he fell right into a trap. "You brat," he breathed affectionately, sliding an arm around the smaller's waist to pull him close, resting their foreheads against each other, "I love you... I love you, I love you, I love you. God I love you so fuckin' much, Zu, you have no damn idea what you do to me."
"What do I do to you, Kacchan?"
Dangerous. Pretty. Enticing. Katsuki needed him more than ever before.
Without another beat, he closed the distance, locking their lips together in a heated kiss.

So last night I woke up in the middle of the night and a fic idea came to me like a prophetic vision and in the moment it was a masterpiece but I'm looking at what I wrote in my notes and I'm like. what. anywhos drabble for you all! _______________________
The Universe loves Izuku. She loves his bright, beaming smile. His wide, dewy eyes. His beautiful soul and beautiful heart, filled with so much love it overflows out of him; freckles that dust over skin, bringing all Her stars to shame. The Universe loves Izuku more than anything else, and Izuku loves Katsuki. The Universe hates Katsuki. The Universe hates how Katsuki is the first thought that comes to Izuku's mind in the morning. She hates his prideful grin when Izuku praises him with star-struck eyes, eyes that should be looking at Her, eyes that should love Her. So the Universe whispers thoughts into Katsuki's mind; thoughts about his strength and courage and superiority over everyone. She watches with little remorse as Katsuki begins to insult and berate her beloved Izuku. This pain will be worth it, my beloved, she whispers out. You'll come to me once you realize I'm the only one you need. Izuku doesn't come to the Universe. He continues to chase after Katsuki, calling out to him with that sickeningly sweet nickname. The Universe forces Katsuki's eyes to Izuku's name, drenching him in invisible poison; pride, arrogance, ego. "Deku. That must be what you call a helpless loser who's totally useless."

Katsuki is hit by a quirk: whenever he lays eyes on someone, the word that most represents his feelings or opinions for that person shows up on their chest.
Kirishima almost cries happy tears when Friend flashes in his chest. Iida wears the word President like a badge of honor. Aizawa doesn't say but having Mentor on his chest fills him with gouey feelings. All Might struggles to handle the Disappointment that shows up in him and Katsuki doesn't have it in him to explain the word.
But no one is as surprised as Izuku, who's chest is engraved with the word Mine.

Tomura Shigaraki and AFO decided to strike a year earlier than cannon. Izuku and Katsuki were together because Katsuki was trying to hunt down Izuku to bully him some more. Then, Tomura launched his biggest attack yet and released lots of nomu. So, Izuku and Katsuki were stuck in the apocalypse together. Izuku's analysis and Katsuki's battle sense become incredible resources and they survive with each other's help (they also thrive, as Izuku is great when the most valuable thing in the world is knowledge, and Izuku helps Katsuki's quirk, as the second most valuable is strength). They become close friends. They become more, although they never define what they are because there was no one else to define it for. All that was left was them, and they already knew what they were to each other. Best friends, confidante, supports, heroes. They didn't think many people were alive, but the stories of their plights spread amongst the remaining survivors. Eventually, a rag-tag group of heroes and one escaped villain find them and recruit them. They go for a little (Katsuki is cautious and doesn't want to rely on others, but Izuku wants to build a suvivors group, so they agree on a trial period), and the group sees how good the others are at surviving and taking down nomu, so they start a small Rebellion. It soon grows large under the leadership of the two, and they both face off against Shigaraki in a final battle. There's no more nomu as they previously destroyed all the factories and killed all the other nomu. They become legends.

Classroom
Sometimes... when the sunray turns deep orange and the sky mixes with purple, Izuku just sits on the same spot he sat when he was a student. The class stayed the same, and it reminds him endlessly of his days as a student at UA. Reminded him when he was studying to be a hero.
He would look around, remembering each and every of his former class member that he barely sees anymore. Imagining the way Kaminari would joke loudly with Kirishima, Ochako coming through the door with Mina, Tokoyami on his phone while Shoji looms over as they were watching something together.
And Kacchan sitting in front of him.
It's odd.
It feels unreal.
Izuku would lean forward and reach toward the chair. Feeling like he was back in the past, when everything were both much simpler and more complicated. He'll catch a sight of his heavily scarred hand on a chair that was once Kacchan's, and it would remind him unkindly on how everything is just so different now.
How much he is different.
Izuku frowns and rests his head atop his arm. Eyes fixed lazily on the chair in front of him, ignoring the sight of his hand. Sometimes he wishes he is allowed more time to play with OFA. Like how he witnessed Ochako floats some of their friends' stuff just because, how Shouto would surprisingly crack an egg on his arm just to see it get cooked.
He pulls himself up to sit straight and looks down upon his hand. Clenching it a bit, and making gestures like he would shoot out blackwhip again. Izuku would be lying if he says he didn't miss it, if there were a part of him that wishes deeply to have that quirk still within him. Although giving it up was something he would do over and over again... he still worked very hard to make that quirk his own.
Looking out the window, he would imagine himself soaring through the skies. Be it by himself, or with his former classmates... especially Kacchan.
He closes his eyes. He shouldn't think too much of the what ifs, it's really not good for a grown man to keep imagining that. It's what he says to himself anyway when he pictures how his life would be if he still have OFA.
"Problem child." A call from the door has Izuku opening his eyes. Aizawa, his former teacher stands by the door and has a slight frown as he sees Izuku.
"Sensei," Izuku smiles at him, but for some reason it deepens the frown on his former teacher's face. It seems as if Aizawa wanted to say something, judging by how his mouth would twitch but then decided against it and sighs.
"Just don't stay here too late." Aizawa then bid his goodbyes before Izuku gets the chance to say anything back. And once again, he is alone in the class.
Izuku takes one last look at the class and decides he really should go home.
.
.
.
Opening his door, he is met with an empty house.
"I'm home," he says nonetheless as he toes his shoes off. Feeling a bit grimy, he readies himself for a shower before continuing his work. He never really imagined that being a teacher means that he rarely have free time.
He quickly undresses, not bothering to prepare himself a clean set of clothes prior. Stepping into the shower, Izuku lets out a sigh when warm water hits his body.
He had arrived home later than usual lately. Izuku stands there even after he has finished washing himself. Letting the warm water enveloped his body for a bit longer. He found himself reminiscing of the old times and the uncountable ‘what if's regarding his life.
He shakes his head and turns the shower off.
It's not that he regrets it.
He grabs a towel and leisurely dries himself off. His eyes catch sight of a fresh pair of clothing set up above the toilet seat. Blinking, he dries his hair a bit more before putting on the clothes.
Izuku gets out of his room, hands occupied with a towel drying his thick hair. He is immediately hit with the smell of delicious food; he quickly makes his way to the kitchen only to see broad back – one that belongs to Katsuki.
To Kacchan.
Kacchan is still wearing his uniform, some dust smears on his back – but other than that, there seems to be no injury. Izuku smiles to himself and makes his way closer, peeking at what Kacchan is cooking. That’s also one thing that Izuku often found himself wondering. Would he be taller if it weren’t for the injuries he sustained when he was in his teens?
Before he can linger on that train of thought, Kacchan turns around – flicking the stove off in the process – and ruffles Izuku’s hair. “You’re late.”
“I lost track of time,” Izuku smiles, looking up at Kacchan.
Katsuki frowns, he goes and picks up the pan to plate the dish. “Did the brats give you trouble?”
Izuku grabs plates and utensils from the cupboard. “Oh no! They’re all so nice today! I just got distracted earlier.”
Kacchan does not answer, nor does he try to pry any further. He excuses himself to take a quick shower while Izuku stays behind in the kitchen, preparing their miso soup to enjoy on the side. When he is done, Kacchan comes out from his bedroom – nice and clean – and they both proceed to enjoy their dinner together.
There are times when Izuku thinks of the ‘what if’s scenario. And there will be times when Izuku will think about them again.
But… as he look up at Katsuki, scarfing down his meal – hungry from a long shift…
Izuku feels glad that he is in this scenario now. Not a ‘what if’, but an ‘is’.

The Little Things
BKDK - 1452 words (SFW)
Katsuki downed the rest of his beer, thudding it on the table.
“You sure you’re okay, man?” Kirishima asked.
“Yeah,” Katsuki grunted, running his hair through his hands irritably, “Just had a rough week ‘n need to unwind.”
“Alright buddy, let me know if you want to talk!”
“Will do. I’m gonna grab another beer.” Katsuki stood, making his way to the bar. It had been a rough week. Rough month. Rough forever since he came to one stupid ass conclusion:
He was in love with Izuku Midoriya.
It wasn’t some big grand event (like dying for Izuku during the war) that caused him to realize, either. No, it was infuriatingly normal. He and Izuku had been hero partners for the better part of a year now, and as Katsuki predicted, they worked flawlessly together. They were a perfect duo and had been flying up the ranks ever since they joined forces. It was perfect.
So why did Katsuki have to go and ruin everything with feelings?
It had been an ordinary patrol that day, when Katsuki and Izuku had returned to their agency. After changing Katsuki flopped onto the sofa of their joint office with a groan.
“We didn’t even fight anybody worth remembering today, so why the fuck am I so tired?”
Izuku entered the office with an understanding smile, “That’d be because you’ve been putting in extra shifts in lately, Kacchan.”
Katsuki waved him off, “Endeavor’s agency needed help with that kidnapping case. It was dumb extra work, but I couldn’t let that asshole stay in his number 1 spot.”
“Sure,” Izuku grinned, knowing Katsuki would have helped out regardless of Endeavor’s ranking.
“Shuddup, nerd,” Katsuki threw an arm over his face. Izuku giggled, plopping on the couch next to him. Katsuki slung his legs over the other’s lap like it was normal.
They sat like that for a while until, “Hey Kacchan.”
“Hmm?”
“What are you doing for dinner tonight?”
Katsuki lifted the arm from his face, eyeing the green haired man, “Same thing I do most nights. Whip up something from whatever crap I have in my fridge. Why?”
“I was wondering if you’d like to come over? I was working on a recipe and wanted to show you,” Izuku scratched his chin, looking almost nervous.
Katsuki raised his eyebrows at that. Izuku wasn’t a bad cook by any means, but he was not a recipe type of person. He was a throw together ingredients and hope they taste good type of guy. “You? A recipe?” Izuku’s wide eyes met his own and he felt his breath catch. This seemed to mean a lot to him. “Sure. It better fucking taste good, though. I don’t want to put out any fires when I’m off the clock.”
Izuku beamed at him and Katsuki knew he made the right choice.
Katsuki was sat on Izuku’s couch watching some dumb soap opera after Izuku kicked him out of the kitchen, saying it was a surprise. Katsuki didn’t go without a fight but was eventually commandeered to the couch. “You almost done?” he asked in a huff. He heard Izuku laugh from the kitchen, and he grumbled.
Finally, Izuku came out of the kitchen with two steaming bowls of curry. He placed them gingerly on the kitchen table, and beckoned Katsuki over.
The blonde sniffed the air. It almost smelled nostalgic.
“I hope you like it,” Izuku smiled.
Katsuki took a small bite, and he gasped at the familiarity of the taste, “Oh my god. No way.” The spice curled around him like home, “My favorite curry house. The one that closed down. Did you get the recipe from them?”
“You were able to tell?” Izuku was practically glowing, “I’ve been working on trying to get it up to par for a while, but honestly, I just got too excited and had to show you!” Izuku continued to ramble on about how he had to call around and get info for different parts of the recipe, while also try several different spice combinations to get the taste just right.
Katsuki just stared, eyes wide.
Izuku had done that for him. He knew that they would do anything for each other, heck Katsuki knew firsthand they would even die for each other. But this, seemingly one of the many things they’ve done for each other, this was different somehow.
This was such a small thing in the long run, learning a new recipe for someone, but Izuku did it because he knew how much it meant to Katsuki. And in that moment Katsuki knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this man.
I love him.
Katsuki choked on his curry.
“Oh! Are you okay? It’s not too spicy, is it?” Izuku ran into the kitchen, grabbing some extra napkins.
“No,” Katsuki forced himself to say when Izuku came back, fussing over him, “It’s perfect.”
So yeah, Katsuki Bakugo was in love with Izuku Midoriya. And it was ruining his life.
He turned away from the bar, umpteenth beer sloshing in his hands.
“Kacchan?”
Katsuki almost groaned, turning towards the source of his misery, “Hey.”
It was just his luck that the love of his life would be at the same stupid bar as he and his friends were.
“Oh, it looks like Tsu and Ochako already found Kirishima and Mina. Do you mind if we hang out with you guys?” Katsuki reached out and flicked Izuku on the forehead, to which the other yelped, “Hey!”
“They’re y’r friends, too. Y’ don have to ask to sit with us.”
Izuku’s eyes widened, a small, surprised smile on his face, “Oh. You’re right. Thanks, Kacchan.”
“Jus c’mon,” The blonde dragged the green haired boy over to their table and into the seat next to him.
As Izuku greeted their friends, Katsuki took a generous sip of his beer. He let the music in the bar roll over him, and allowed himself to just sink for a while. Just watching the love of his life.
“-achan. Kacchan?”
Katsuki picked his head up from where he’d apparently laid it down on the table, “Mm-what?”
Izuku was looking at him worriedly, “Are you okay? Did you have too much to drink?”
“Sh’dup,” he slurred, pushing an accusatory finger into the other’s chest, “It’s y’r fault.”
“My fault?” Izuku eyebrows shot up, “How’s that, Kacchan?”
“It’s y’r stupid face! I can’t stop thikin’ bout it!” Katsuki bemoaned, glaring at the other, “It’s so stupid and I just wanna squeeze it and kiss y’r dum fuckin’ freckles all the time. Lovin’ you is so annoying; I swear to God.”
Izuku gasped, gripping onto Katsuki’s arm, “What did you just say?”
“’Re ya fuckin deaf?” Katsuki growled, leaning next to Izuku’s ear, “Your. Face. Is. Stupid.”
“Not that,” Izuku rolls his eyes. When Katsuki just kind of looks at him, Izuku relents, breathing out, “You said you loved me.”
“Shit.” Katsuki’s ears reddened, “Don’ tell sober me that I told you that. It was s’posed to be a secret.”
“Don’t tell- Kacchan!” Izuku grabbed his shoulders as the blonde tried to escape, pulling him back into his chair, “How long have you known? How long were you planning on keeping this a secret?”
Katsuki sighed, resting his head on Izuku’s shoulder, “Forever, maybe. I don’ know.”
“Why?”
“Didn’t want things to change. Didn’t want you to hate me.”
Izuku exhales, resting a hand in the blonde’s hair. Katsuki leans into the touch. “I could never hate you. Pretty much the opposite, really.”
Katsuki leans back, meeting Izuku’s eyes. He whispers, looking nervous about the answer. “Promise?”
“Promise.”
Katsuki smiles, resting his head back on Izuku’s shoulder happily.
“I will be having some words with sober Kacchan, though.”
“Shit. I’d hate to be that guy,” Katsuki mutters. Izuku laughs, running his hands through blonde strands once more.
--
Katsuki drags himself from unconsciousness with a groan, feeling around blindly for his bedside lamp. God he feels like death. He flicks on the light, and sees his phone plugged in, which is honestly better than he expected. He goes to grab it, then pauses when he sees a full cup of water, some aspirin, and a note.
“Hi Kacchan!
Hope your headache isn’t too bad this morning! I left you some extra strength aspirin, so make sure to take them, okay?”
Katsuki rubs a hand down his face. So Izuku was the one who brought him home.
Izuku was the one that saw him drunk.
Fucking Fantastic.
Memories of the previous night come flooding back as he reads the last couple lines.
“Oh, and don’t forget about our little talk you promised me, alright?
XO Izuku”
Katsuki pales.

Katsuki knew it was wrong. If Izuku found out, he'd never forgive him. He was putting seven years of marriage at risk for this.
But he couldn't help it. The temptation was too great.
Katsuki's hand pressed hard against his mouth to muffle the lewd groan trying to force through, trying to give a vocal legitimacy to his great sin. His eyes fluttered closed; he couldn't watch himself betray his husband like this, betray everything he'd stood for. He was a man of honor, of his word, and he was shattering it on the concrete.
Katsuki dropped his head into his hands, swallowing thickly to clear his mouth, shame and pleasure burning in his bones.
He was a cretin.
"Dude," Kaminari spoke up, glancing between a broken Katsuki and the rest of their friends. "It's just sashimi."
Katsuki's glare was watery, ineffective. How to make an idiot understand that seven months of no fish at all, in any form, even stock, had brought the Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight to his knees? Seven months of fulfilling Izuku's craving while ignoring his own, until now. But in doing so, he'd broken his promise to not eat anything Izuku couldn't. He couldn't hold out two more months to support his husband until their child was born.
He'd failed.
"Leave him alone, dude," Kiri said, waving off Kami's concerns. "Let him eat."
And eat Katsuki did, eat delicious bite seasoned with guilt.

...AU where bkdk become roommates, strangers to Daily Inconveniences to "youre not so bad... but dont you fucking Ever eat my katsudon again" and finally friends. but make izuku a theater kid/dramatic nerdy soul and katsuki a jock/punk/band kid or whatever.
Eventually they get comfy enough with each other for izuku to tease him ✨️ waxing poetic Shakespeare ✨️ style over one of katsuki's woes while izuku himself spins in his dorky desk chair. Just as izuku makes the third spin to catch another a blurry glance, Katsuki slams his palms down on the chair arms, barks out an affectionate "fuck you" and flicks his forehead. It doesnt deter the little shit in the slightest
This becomes a bit between them and eventually katsuki gets in on it too. Its contagious, sue him... but somehow those eyes are far too fond and words a little too sincere as they play out a tragic love story to make their friends giggle, and well. If he kisses the nerd's hand, its all apart of the act, right?
