BREAKING NEWS: Local man learns there are consequences to his actions

some part of me really wants to just make Nathan rant to David about how he brought his downfall all on himself in my Bathsheba Fic in the future and it’s mostly venting my own frustration on how some people treat him.

1. What was the first part of your WIP that you created?

Worldbuilding!!! I've always loved Mars (influenced by Doom probably? i just think it's neat :]) and the idea of a whole society on Mars is just very cool for me. All the possibilities and things that can go wrong. And the political debates.......

2. If your story was a TV show, what would the intro song be?

HMMMMM this one is hard bc i absolutely su k at picking music for story playlists and this is waaaaaay harder. I think I would love it to be instrumental or smth tho!

That said I would soooo much rather have it become a video game, and and if I were to pick a song for a trailer I'd go with either Black Mambo by Glass Animals or something from Depeche Mode. My brain is currently telling me to go with "Pain That I'm Used To" but I wouldn't say it fits Cynosure that well KFKKFFKFKFK

3. Who are your favourite character(s) and why?

Tobyyyyyyy <3 I love him so much he is such a...guy. He's some guy. A chemist who has spent a bit too much reading his dad's books about social theory and stuff since he was a child. All he wants is that people would be happy and he has so much love to give for the world, which mostly means him helping people a lot (people pleaser guy). Tobias isn't really that special, he wants to do something he likes, he's scared of guns (for a reason) and just wants a calm new life. Too bad that's not happening for a while.

To think he started as a copy of Nathan I made for a The Outer Worlds playthrough and then it all kinda turned into a bigger thing and he became his own self and I just decided to pull him + Klara & others out of being fandom ocs and put them into Cynosure.

4. What other pieces of media could share a fan base with your WIP?

HMMMM I'd say basically any kind of scifi book that has some societal themes in it + has some comedy and stuff. Same for video games maybe?

5. What has been your biggest struggle while writing your WIP?

I'm going to be honest I haven't really started writing Cynosure yet JFBBFBFFKF

My biggest struggle is having a job and being a master's student basically hehe

6. Are there any animals in your story?

Haven't really figured out if I'd want to showcase Mars wildlife in it + what kind of wildlife would it be, BUUUUT!!! There's definitely Klara & Toby's cat, Melody. She's a lil tabby cat :3

7. How do your characters get around?

I'm a public transport fan so I'm putting public transport into my wip!!!! I'd say Mars has lots of fancy trains and the ocean area has ships. Buses, too, though probably not what Cynosure characters will end up using.

There's also cars and motorcycles, though they're hovering instead of having wheels. Mars terrain sucks for wheels.

8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?

Figuring out the plot + finishing up worldbuilding <3

9. What aspects of your WIP do you think will draw people in?

Hmmmm! I'd love to say worldbuilding or like, whatever is going on in Mars power struggles. Making fun of capitalism too (i'm a social scientist), maybe even the characters? Who knows :^)

Skwis and Pickles both get off on getting pierced the endorphins r crazy hot to them.

i guess the biggest draw has always been his actor, who i know for playing another one of my romantic f/os, nathan from repo the genetic opera :3 <3 and ive been with him for also like three years or so

i also do have a general draw to fictional school staff, idk what it is abt them but i always tend to selfship with them, not even always romantically . i jsut really like fictional school staffs

and i um . unfortunately i like british characters . i'll come to terms with it for u .

He doesn't regress that often but he's still pretty respectful when he does (or at least he tries to be)

When he's 2 he's just really sleepy and cuddly and giggly and just wants to cuddle with someone and sleep

He's a little more rowdy when he's 11, especially since it's a closer age to everyone else

He'll still be nice and kinda take an “older brother” role of sorts but he's far from immune to his fair share of shenanigans

She just likes causing problems (nothing that bad really, but she thinks they're bad and has fun with that)

A little more strict with the rules (at least compared to Nathan), but does her best to be gentle about it

Tries (and fails) (because of Nathan) to make sure her littles don't get too much sugar in a day

She loves to spoil them every now and then, tho

Has that “big strong mom” kinda energy that gets Jacob and Karina to stop fighting when she walks into the room

Organizes little puppet shows for everyone to participate in

Helps make silly little puppets out of different materials (socks, paper, stick, etc.)

Great cuddles, great bedtime stories (they're just a bunch of goofy nonsense half the time, but the littles eventually wear themselves out from giggling so much)

Just likes watching cartoons and maybe cuddling a bit with someone

Ok so here are the answers with proof and explanation (screenshots from TVtime):

A little explanation of the show: A storm happens, after that some people get superpowers. Some powers are related to the personality of the person, because of that people end up having all kinda weird powers. (For example one of the bad guys could control dairy products)

1. Abby met a tortoise in some kind of Anonymous Superpowers meetings. She figures out he's a man who has been trapped as a tortoise since the storm. Her friend Alex can take people's powers away if he fucks them. Abby asks Alex to make Mark human again

2. I honestly don't know what happened here. This wasn't super power related. He just did it... (ps: my biology teacher had said that boys who had sex in a young age could also breastfeed, tho I don't remember if she said the liquid is actually... idk milk?)

3. An afab trans person had the power to swap genitals. They stole Alex's dick. (honestly dude, you could use this power for the greater good, opening up a business where trans men and women swap the parts they don't want- instead you steal a cis man's cock? Why? He just got it back in the end...)

4. Curtis got the power of changing his gender and mastrubated using the same napkin or something and got himself pregnant

5. A bad guy could control people by the tattoos he draw, he got mad at Nathan and drew a *heart* Simon tattoo on him. Nathan was gay for that episode

6. Finn gets possessed by someone else's power (really cruel and all) Alex fucks him to take that power away

The lie: The end of the world being caused by lesbians. I came up with this. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it had happened and I just forgot about it

Ep 3. 

Soul continues to be soulless by killing grannies. Suicide by scarlet kiss potion - I wonder if that was the same they used for Nathan’s mother? 

Jessica gets freaky in bed (by shapeshifting into a guy she just killed. Not sinister at all, huh?)

Nathan is finally improving, especially after hearing that his gran is dead. He draws a bird right before Soul and the hunters come to get him. I wonder if Marcus has been watching over them a while as this bird. I find it i a little funny how Jessica shouts orders to everyone in the car when Marcus attacks. She is still just a recruit, but I guess it’s a little foreshadowing to how she will be giving orders in the future. And I wonder what Marcus wanted with the attack - we are supposed to think he wants to kill Nathan, but was he just pissed with these people using his kid as a punching bag?

Soul kidnaps Nathan, puts a needle in his neck (why do people have to do that always?? That is not a thing, don’t stab people in their neck with needles pleasE). 

Nathan gets away and the guard Steve goes SPLAT

The decimation sfx is awesome. 

Recap of events from Annalise’s last months. Her brother was beat up. David flirted - not quite as charming as at the bowling, but she goes for it. Soul is a supportive father. And then she kills Beef the rat. Beef goes splat on the cream carpets. And this is why wall to wall carpets are a bad idea, I just CANNOT understand why they are a thing. Annalise tries to hide what has happened, which to me shows that she can’t be that close to her parents. I would have run to my mother screaming that I had killed my rat and what should I do, my power is exploding pets!! But she doesn’t trust it with her family. And furthermore, her dad finds it, seems to put two and two together, but does not ask. Communication is key, people!

But later on she finds info on her skill in the dark magic book, which makes me wonder if she got this skill for a reason. Maybe even by Soul’s doing?

Then she drives to London (she is only 17 tho, is that legal?), finds Nathan and kills Steve (SPLAT)

and now to my favourite part so far in the show. 

They sit bloody in a café screaming “help” at Nathan’s hand and... it works! And it leads them to everybody’s favourite character Gabriel, the cheeky frenchman..

First of all, I love his hallway, I wonder how many fairy lights did they need for that you think?? What would my electricity bill look like if I tried it myself??

Gabiel is on a roll with great lines in this scene. “Please don’t fuck in my bathroom”, “Can you believe these motherfuckers?”, “Well, I’d best put some trousers on, hadn’t I?” Such a golden character introduction, I fell in love immediately. 

Sorry Annalise, but the rest of us do. The apartment scene really launches us into the next chapter. Through the window. 

And Annalise get a moment where she chooses between Nathan and Gabiel (AKA changing her power) and her dad (AKA guy she can’t communicate with) and she literally dives into the unknown to write a new path for herself. 

I’m so excited to see the trio’s journey again!!

If they were in the mha universe, what would their quirks be??

- [ ] Dimitri: nature lover! has a very strong connection to nature, to the point that it becomes sentient around him and helps him/he can control it

- [ ] Trender: arms! since he can have all his arms in his human form, he does.

- [ ] Splendor: quirkless! (Eh. I mean they’re all demons so not really. None of them have any quirks. But he couldn’t think of a cover quirk. And they could say their true forms are quirks but like… once they start outliving everyone ppl are gonna get suspicious so. It’s smarter not to.)

- [ ] Slender: didn’t make one up since he doesn’t interact w/ ppl unless he’s killing them

- [ ] Jason- rage! When enraged he transforms into a doll-like person, becoming stronger and faster as well as unkillable unless you break the music box in him. Also if he loses any limbs if he puts them back together before he turns back he’ll just have a new scar, but will have the limb back.

- [ ] Judge Angel- Judgement! Can see the entirety of one person’s deeds or the sum of a group of people’s good or badness based on her beliefs.

- [ ] BEN- Glitch! He can go into any electrical/electronic thingy and is like a virus/glitch. Can also just go into video games and such. Also since he’s a ghost he visibly glitches in real life

- [ ] Sally- whisper! She can communicate with toys, and make one or two sentient (aka mr. Teddy, though because he’s constantly sentient she can’t really make other toys sentient without taking it from him, which she won’t do) still dead btw

- [ ] LJack- fuckin demon idk what you want from me

- [ ] LJill- Also a fucking demon

- [ ] Will- Bounce back! Can bounce back from any injury after an amount of time based on the injury (how long it takes depends on how bad the injury is. Though deadly injury’s can rarely be bounced back from. He needs to seek medical help or die)

- [ ] Frankie- Zombiefy! Can turn anything dead into an unliving thing. But depending on how long they’ve been dead depends on how well it works. Fresh dead work best. Also, Frankie turns into a Zombie if he dies, which he did. Since it was immediately though he’s good.

- [ ] EJ- quirkless! But is possessed so.. yea. Doesn’t really matter. Really good at sewing ppl up tho

- [ ] Jeff- Blend! He can blend into any crowd of ppl and not seem suspicious at all, even with his mouth thingy going on. Most fights he got in cause ppl were bullying Liu

- [ ] Liu- survive! Though thought to be quirkless, as it turns out his quirk was being able to survive serious injuries. Though he does pass out for a while so his body can fix itself. Injuries do leave scars. He woke up in the hospital morgue, not fun lol.

- [ ] Jane- track! Once she has a bit of her target’s blood, she can track them where ever they go. Though it is slightly behind since she never got trained how to make it accurate all the time in that moment.

- [ ] Mary- Healing touch! Can heal injuries my holding her hands to it, takes a lot of focus and makes her tired though. Can’t heal serious injuries like Recovery girl can. Large gashes are about as serious as she can go.

- [ ] Clockwork- quirkless!

- [ ] Puppeteer- Puppeteer! Can make anyone a puppet using his strings, but if the strings get injured then so does he.

- [ ] Lost silver- kindred spirit! Has a very calming effect about him that draws animals to him, works on people tho less so than on animals

- [ ] Nathan the nobody- reanimate! Can come back to life after a life- ending injury. But loses a piece of his sanity each time he does.

- [ ] Nina- Serenade! Can put anyone to sleep by singing.

- [ ] Candy pop- he’s a dream demon, again what do you want from me?

- [ ] Zalgo- again, demon

- [ ] Kate the chaser- Speed demon! In the name, she’s super fast.

- [ ] Tim Sutton/Masky- heal! Can slowly heal himself of injuries. It’s quicker than normal healing, but you don’t really notice till it’s like he’s broken a bone. Though if it is something like a broken bone, there will be effects of the injury. (Ie limping even though it’s healed)

- [ ] Brian/Hoodie- Resist! Has an easy time not succumbing to spells/quirks, though needs the help of Tim’s pills for Slender.

- [ ] Jay- Scavenger! Once he knows what he’s looking for, it’s pretty easy for him to find things. For instance, tapes. Still manages to loose his keys tho.

- [ ] Toby- super jump! Can jump way higher than an average human.

- [ ] Ringleader (oc)- Lion whisper! Can communicate with lions, she can understand them Ans they can understand her, can also talk in lion

- [ ] Smile Dog- is like Nezu, an animal that was tested on. He got super intelligence from that, but instead of being bipedal or being able to talk, he has telepathy and a taste for blood. Likes Jeff tho.

- [ ] Grinny Cat- another tested on animal, but they are like Binx from Hocus Pocus without the talking. They test humans by being near them and obviously being homeless. If they take care of them then they let the human live. If they don’t then they follow the human around to see why. If the human has a legit reason they leave the human alone, if they don’t they kill the human.

- [ ] Kagekao- Slinky! unhumanly agile, able to just kinda slink around things and dodge quickly/efficiently. Kinda like rubber. Can also stick to things. No bones lol.

- [ ] Zero- Monochrome! Can turn anything she touches black and white at will

Bateman is in a mood. You know that as soon as you heard the thumping of music elsewhere in the facility. You don’t know what’s going on, what he was up to— if it’s a matter of frustration or celebration. You manage not to run into Nathan, learn about said mood, until you absolutely need to head into the kitchen. You-know-who is there, humming to himself as he works at the stove.

“Hey,” You greet, eyeing him warily and standing at the mouth of the kitchen. “Hi there,” He grins, “Want one?” “I don’t uh… I don't know, one of what?” You ask. “Grilled cheese,” He answers, nodding to the pan in front of him, “There’s white cheddar, muenster, gruyere—” “That is the most over-the-top grilled cheese I have ever heard of,” You arch a brow, venturing a little closer. “I didn’t even get to the seasonings,” Nathan waggles his eyebrows at you, and you pull yourself up onto the counter beside the stove. “What prompted the fancy grilled cheese?” “I was hungry.” “...Okay, clarification: What prompted the fancy grilled cheese, the,” You wave at him, “Mood, and the Wham! I heard earlier?” Nathan shrugs, “I’m having a good day.” That is suspicious. Nathan glances at you over his glasses before he raises his hands, squishing your cheeks. You puff out a laugh, surprised, unable to help it. “What the hell is up with you?” You bat his hands away. “My wetware patent came through,” He tells you. “Well, fuck.” “Thank you. Here,” He adds, flipping the grilled cheese onto a plate and holding it out to you. Your brow furrows a little. “No, c’mon, that’s yours.” “Why’d you come in here?” “...I was hungry.” “I’ll make another one.” “Nathan— We’ll cut it in half,” You bargain. Nathan considers that before he shrugs, nodding. He sets the pan down and passes you the plate. You slide off of the counter, walking over to the cutlery drawer and opening it, pulling out a knife and cutting the grilled cheese in half. “Did you put bacon and tomato in here?” You ask, picking up on half and peering at the gooey and packed filling.  “Don’t like it?” “This thing smells so good. You should be patenting this sandwich recipe,” You mutter, walking over to the table. Nathan joins a moment later, a beer in his hands for each of you. He settles in the seat across from you, his knees brushing against yours as he gets comfortable. You set the plate between the two of you. You know that Nathan is waiting for you to take the first bite, so you do. You chew slowly, and you manage— “Holy shit.” ”Good?” “What the fuck, dude? Since when can you cook like this?” You scoff, “What are the seasonings?” “Maybe I would’a told you if you hadn’t been so jumpy,” Nathan chuckles. The two of you eat in silence, and you take the time to look him over. You’ve never seen him in such a good mood— ever. Nathan can be teasing, sure, but this is different. He isn't usually so light. And he’s watching you, too. Nathan finishes his half before you do, and when you finish, before you could say or do a thing, he says, “C’mon.” “...C’mon what?” Nathan looks down at his phone, taps something, and suddenly the kitchen is booming with music. “C’mon!” Nathan repeats, standing. “Oh— No.” “Why not?” He’s already beginning to sway as he reaches for his beer, “I made you dinner, now you owe me.” “Was that grilled cheese a secret fey deal?” You ask, brows raising, “Is that why it was so fucking tasty?” Nathan huffs a small laugh, taking a couple of steps closer to you. “Let’s go,” He murmurs, nodding you up. You hesitate before you stand obligingly. Surely he’ll see that you're bad at this and let you leave. But that doesn’t stump Nathan— not for a second. He continues to surprise you, reaching for his phone and changing the song to one of your favorites. Your brows raise slightly, and you watch warily as Nathan edges closer. “What?” He asks, resting his hands on your hips. “How…?” “You’re always humming it.” “I am not always—” “You sing it in the shower.” “Not loudly!” Nathan arches a brow, drawing you closer and setting the two of you swaying gently. You move with him, a little less hesitant as you rest your hands on his forearms. “...You should dance with me more often,” He murmurs. “You should cook for me more often,” You argue. “Alright, don’t start talkin’ crazy.”

What would be the Bendy cast's dream summer holiday?

Dream summer holiday you say? -cracks knuckles- I'll give it my best shot.

Joey Drew - Finally go to the Bahamas. Amazing islands with great beaches and spectacular coral reefs? This man wants to go scuba diving so bad it makes him look stupid... Also no one's going to find him when there's so many places to hide.

Henry Stein - Go camping with his wife and daughters. He knows some good spots up in the Appalachian mountains. Just them and nature... No weird machines that can summon inky devils. What more can you ask for?

Linda Stein - She's not picky when it comes to how she and her family spend their vacations. As long as everyone can unwind she's up for anything. Variety is a must tho, doing the same thing every year gets a little stale.

Sammy Lawrence - He never got to go to Coney Island so he'll likely look into finding the closest thing to it as possible. Maybe goes to Disney World out of pure spite. Overall just wants to have one day where decorum and appearances mean nothing. Deserves a break from being the guy with the stick up his ass.

Jack Fain - Traveling abroad is a big vacation goal for him. Call him cheesy but there's something about going to tourist attractions with the husband that feels really romantic to him. They're making memories together!

Susie Campbell - She's not one for big glamorous vacations. Just wants a couple of days to herself, maybe go to the beach to work on her tan, and overall just has a good couple of "Me" days. Might go to flea markets to get some goodies. She's treating herself!

Norman Polk - Look me in the eye and tell me he wouldn't travel to Paris specifically to sneak into the Parisian catacombs... Sends everyone the ugliest postcards he can find.

Allison Pendle - She'd invest to either go on an amazing tour of the Amazon forest, or a safari trip in Africa. As someone who appreciates the realm of the supernatural, Allison strikes me as someone who'd want to take a break through the natural.

Thomas Connor - Wherever Allison goes, he goes. All of their photos are mostly just Tom grumpily scowling at the camera while holding souvenirs, or laying in the hotel bed looking miserable because of mosquito bites. He's not a big vacation person but he'll endure it since his wife is really enjoying herself. He's honestly just glad to be away from other people.

Wally Franks - Disney World with the family. You can't tell me Wally wouldn't plan a massive trip for his entire family and all his friends. It's always a party with the Franks, and it's also likely someone's going to get arrested.

Shawn Flynn - Goes on a week-long hiking trip. Very big on photographing the journey, but the pictures aren't of the spectacular views or local fauna. Its just weirdly shaped rocks he finds that he thought were pretty neat.

Grant Cohen - Vacations are expensive. He'd rather just stay home and maybe sleep for an entire week or so. Seems like the type to turn on the radio and just get lost in cheesy radio-dramas.

Buddy Lewek - His family has never really had money for big vacations, so he'd do something like camping. Whether or not it's indoors or outdoors depends on how eager he is about the whole thing. Mostly he just wants to spend a bit of time reading and drawing without being disturbed.

Dot - She spends an entire month on a family trip to all the oddball tourist traps they can find. Writes about these family vacations and takes fun photos. Her favourite trip was to a UFO fanatic town. The people were quirky but polite and welcoming.

Abby Lambert - Travels to France to go see the Mona Lisa. Does some sight-seeing and ends up painting the view from her hotel balcony. Sends Henry a little Eiffel Tower statuette and a card with a charcoal illustration. Likely runs into Norman at some point.

Doc Hackenbush - Volunteers to do veterinary work at a zoo for an entire month. Gets up close and personal with some of the most magnificent animals the world has ever seen. It's a humbling experience for a vet like him.

Bertrum Piedmont - Is taken against his will on a fishing trip by Lacie. He's initially grumpy about it, but relaxes once he realizes how calming it is. Eating a big fat meal of fish has never tasted better, especially after catching it himself.

Lacie Benton - Goes on a month-long fishing trip with Bertrum. Inheriting her uncle's boat has it's perks, especially when she feels it's time she and her best friend need some time alone from the idiots at JDS.

Emma LaMonte - A trip back to England every year keeps the homesickness away. Spends that time with family and friends, and is very private about it.

Detective Sinclair - When you're an old detective like him most days are a vacation anyway. Work can be quite scarce. Doesn't really care for long frivolous trips anyway. Hitting the local bar or catching the latest baseball game is good enough for him.

Nathan Arch - Hasn't had a vacation in years and doesn't plan on it anytime soon. His health wouldn't allow him either way...

Nathan Arch Jr - Spends a maximum of two week in a cheap ocean themed motel, just to be alone with his thoughts. It's become a bit of a ritual and the motel owner always saves him the same room. Despite the tacky decoration it's the only time he ever feels relaxed and content in the entirety of the year.
