If you’ve never had to pick up an adult over let’s say 100 lbs I think most people don’t realize how fucking impressive it is that we see human DC characters (mostly the Bats, let’s be real) routinely lifting and carrying unconscious people for distances longer than a few feet.

Bruce carrying Dick’s body home after he died in Injustice? Insanity. He walked with ~200 lbs of dead weight in his arms (non-optimal carrying position too) without visible effort.

Totally my own opinion but I’m like 65% certain Ares knew the shield was trapped in that chair machine thing (or something equally dastardly made by Hephaestus) so when he sent Percy and Annabeth off to retrieve it, he was assuming there’d be only one returning, so imagine his complete horror when both of the 12yo annoyances returned with no scratches and slammed the shield on the table. No wonder he was pissed when he sent them off

Suguru has this thing, he always has to hold your hand. It’s not up for debate. The moment you’re both out the door, his fingers are slipping through yours like it’s second nature. Regardless if you want to hold his hand or not.

“No wandering,” he murmurs with a soft smile, even if you haven’t moved an inch. Pressing a small kiss to your forehead. “You know I worry.”

He says it like a joke, like he’s teasing, but the way he gently curls his hand around yours says otherwise. He takes long strides without realizing it, and it’s not like you’re slow - it’s just that he’s always so eager to get wherever you're going, and you like to take your time.

So he holds your hand. Not to rush you, never that. It’s to keep you close. To feel your warmth and know you’re right there beside him. He’ll guide you with small, careful nudges, his touch never harsh, just enough to steer you when you drift or get distracted by something in a shop window.

“You get this look in your eye,” he’ll say with that fond, exasperated tone, “like you’re about to float away. I don’t like that.”

Sometimes, he squeezes your hand a little tighter than necessary. Especially in crowds. Especially when he’s quiet and thoughtful. And when you look up at him, puzzled, he just kisses your temple and murmurs, “I like knowing you’re safe. That I’ve got you.”

You might think it’s overprotective. He thinks it’s love.
