Reshirement AU, in which Thorin and Bilbo decide to get married and celebrate their stag nights following their respective cultural traditions.

Thorin sits with his family and friends in Bag End and gets his hair braided and himself pampered, while they talk about his hopes and dreams for his upcoming marriage. He blushes frequently.

In the meantime, Bilbo gets cheered on by about 60 of his relatives, while he does a keg stand.

when buck and eddie go to get married chim takes care of eddie's bachelor's party and hen of buck's, and they schedule them to happen in the same day, same hour, because otherwise buck and eddie (co-dependent kings) would otherwise just attend each other's. buck wants to have their bachelor's party just be one bc he wants to do everything with eddie 4ever and hen goes. buck. that's not how that works. are you kidding me. and buck just cries and goes but i'll miss him :((((. and hen says FOR FOUR HOURS??? YOU'RE GOING TO LITERALLY BE WITH HIM FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. but buck is sighing and huffing like a little hurt dog 😔. buck voice i miss eddie all the time. and hen (thinking she'll have to deal with That for a whole party) contemplates murder.

thinking about “my brother, my captain, my king” and i know realistically it’s meant to be a brothers in arms thing but consider boromir and aragorn actually forming a brotherly relationship in the time that they knew each other

then later when he meets faramir he’s like “welp, your my little brother now” and obviously not replacing boromir, but forming their own kind of brotherly relationship, supporting each other, being there for each other, teasing the fuck out of each other and never giving the other a moment of peace, like siblings do
