You have to give him a name yourself - he doesn’t have one, doesn’t remember if he ever did. You, against your and your best friends better judgement, decide to keep him. You raise him - you teach him how to make noodles and you take him to buy clothes and school supplies and Monkey King action figures. He loves you and you love him. He calls you ‘Dadsy’. You develop a employee relationship - he’s your son, but you don’t want to be too attached now that he’s an adult, even if he still lives in that same shop. Your relationship eventually develops to where you can freely refer to him as your son, not ward or employee.

He’s a demigod. He’s chaos incarnate. He’s the savior and destroyer of the universe. He holds the power of the universe, the same power you watched destroy a demon king from the inside out, in his body with ease. He has the ability to split mountains as collateral. He was made from a rock, and put in that rock by the goddess of creation for the sole purpose of one day hatching just so he could die. He is a sacrifice, and he chooses to be one to save you.

You will never be able to protect him from himself. He is your son, and you are his father, and that changes nothing.

Other than being a professional freeloader storyteller,

I imagine Tang to be someone like a university teacher (at least in his younger days)

On occasions where Pigsy is far to busy to look after Xiaotian AND run the restaurant AND most likely do deliveries himself (if he had any-)

I imagine that Tang would take Mk to his university and I think it'd be funny if one day, he loses Mk who wanders to the lecture room waiting for Mr Tang

Mah boi has seen first handed what this job's all about!

He's studied his papa Mr Tang's methods, carefully dedicating his attention to his every word (until the next butterfly pops by)

He's bored and he shan't let these poor tall people wither away in boredom and shall only share the highest form education he was bestowed with....

Actually, Pirate au! Mk has always had nightmares! He was always a creepy kid…. However, the nightmares seemed to calm down after Tang started reading them bedtime stories to calm him down.

Thank you so much! In this AU I haven’t given him a mom, and I’ve kind of left his backstory to match what we currently know about him, that being that he popped out of a rock and I’ve tweaked it so that Pigsy found him. He lives with Pigsy and Tang and they take care of him the most, but as you know it takes a village to raise a child, so the rest of the gang steps in to babysit him as well. Monkey King babysits him the most
