Once again thinking about Jedi and Children - I don't think it would be unrealistic for babies being raised by trained force sensitives to cry WAY less than other kids. After all, crying is just asking for help, really. No need if your caretaker can pretty much peer into your mind to see exactly what you need. Unless the thing that's wrong is force bullshit the person can't control, in which case the baby basically has force induced colic, good luck.
For similar reasons, I bet one of the most common 'issues' in children given to the jedi creche early (before toddler age) is delayed speech development. They can communicate with their peers and caretakers just fine using space magic. Why bother with *scoff* words?

I am on my hands and knees BEGGING people who are saying they would kill/hurt/abandon the eraserhead baby to understand that the eraser head baby is a METAPHOR!!!! for a baby with colic from the perspective of his sleep deprived parents, he's not actually a monster, his dad is so worn out that he starts to view the baby as an evil monster even though the baby is also suffering. everyone saying the baby is actually an evil ugly monster has absolutely zero media literacy skills and also probably shouldn't have kids if they view all "ugly" and/or physically disabled children who scream and cry as evil.

“I would be such a good mother to the eraserhead baby🥺”
No you wouldn’t.
You bark and make loud shrieking noises when you see someone (especially a fat or neurodivergent person) cosplaying in a public space.
You film autistic people stimming and laugh at them.
You ask your autistic peers “we’re friends right?” and if they say yes you mock them once they’re out of sight.
Whenever you suffer a bad breakup, you go around calling your ex a sociopath or a narcissist or other medical terms.
You say things like “omg I’m so manic/bipolar!” but if you saw an actual manic or bipolar person suffering from a breakdown you would feel threatened and make it all about you.
People like you are the reason I hate my autism.

omg ur tags about oncology do you work in oncology?! I used to be a cancer registrar (I let my credentials lapse bc the job was giving me INTENSE depression) but that’s so cool to see someone else on tumblr with Knowledge of my old field! Do you find that it depresses you at all in any way?
I do risk validation coding/auditing for the Affordable Care Act patient population atm but I did do a stint in an oncology office a few years ago! I ended up not staying on permanently due to how sad it was--I was coming from coding ICU/critical care and I just couldn't take another daily routine of people's worst days.
Cancer is SO cool to work with though. It's so intimidating that people don't really engage w it willingly, but I've been pretty successful at making it more interesting than overwhelming. It's all in knowing how to read it! Wish someone would do that for me w OBGYN charts 😭 hate parent/newborn charts sm...

Assuming I lived through the childhood asthma and being pretty much fucking blind without glasses, I'd die of a hangnail at age 21!
...Which I know, because a hangnail got dangerously infected and put me in the hospital when I was 21. Like if I'd waited another day to go to ER, they would have been treating me for sepsis. Amputation was very much on the table if the IV antibiotics hadn't worked, and even years later I still routinely contemplate the fact that after all the dumb shit I've done in my life, the first thing that genuinely put my life in immediate danger was a fucking hangnail. Antibiotics are truly amazing, and infected wounds are way more dangerous than most people think.
*this is just about having medical needs that would have meant death without modern medicine, so no ‘I’d probably die from not being able to distinguish the blur as a lion’ we have a healthy caveman squad who cares for each other, we just also dont have, yknow, penicilin. etcetera.
pls reblog for sample size etc
follow for more occasional useless polls :)

I don’t think the writers of 911 Lone Star know what colic (horse version) is because nobody who breeds olympic level horses is going to say colic just “gives him more fire”
