Who knows JSL at U.A.

Present Mic obviously as the original Deaf legend. He is strictly JSL. He understands the other forms of sign to though. (I also think he would probably know ASL, maybe BSL, and potentially Chinese Sign Language as well! Disgustingly intelligent and seems to have a head for languages so why not?)

Eraserhead because obviously he knows the language that his husband can communicate in the easiest. Probably learned it when they were kids. Probably really good at JSL, might slip up into the Pidgeon sign sometimes though.

ALL MIGHT hear me out. The number one hero? In Japan? Probably speaks every language that is commonly spoken in Japan. He would want to be able to communicate with everyone. Baby does his best but probably learned so late in life that he mainly signs in the Pidgeon Signed Japanese though has gotten better with JSL since coming to U.A. with others who know it! (Also if it is an OT3 AU then AllEraserMic is a good reason for JSL knowledge too)

Potentially Iida! I have seen lots of people headcanoning him as Autistic and that is fantastic, it is not to uncommon for Autistic individuals to know Sign to help with nonverbal days.

Midoriya! Of course. Baby is probably as close to fluent in JSL as he can be at this age. This baby is smart. He probably has a good basis of understanding for the other sign variations as well. Maybe he started learning when he saw a clip of All Might signing online. Maybe he started learning when he was 9 years old and his mother got a call from Mitsuki who was grieving the loss of her hearing child. (This is super common, hearing parents grieving when they learn their child is not their idea of perfect. Not just in the Deaf community but across all disability spectrums) Midoriya knows. Also may be the only student to know about Bakugou's Deafness for a while.

Bakugou! Of course. Though probably more PSJ. He doesn't believe it is necessary. He doesn't want to know. But it was mandatory. Hates using it, sees it as a weakness, no one has ever told him any different. Once he gets to U.A. though. Everything changes. There is already a Deaf hero? His homeroom teacher knows sign? All Might knows sign? What? Maybe it isn't so bad after all!

Bakusquad! These absolute beautiful buffoons don't learn it until maybe the start of second year. By the time they graduate Kirishima is conversationally fluent but don't ask him to interpret. The other three (four if we are including Jirou today) manage rather well but it will be a while before they are on the level of those who started learning younger.

Ochaco. This comes as a surprise to the rest of the class. But she and Bakugou have become some sort of friend after the sports tournament. She does her best but she is really only at the level of the rest of the Bakusquad. However, she is really good at noticing when Bakugou is just pretending to understand.

The rest of class A might know the basics but in reality even this many people knowing it in one place is unrealistic. But I am indulging. The others just expect Bakugou to try harder to understand or think that he just doesn't care anyway so why bother trying. Bakugou doesn't let it bother him. It bothers his friends though. When they get pissed on his behalf it makes him feel weird, warm, fuzzy. Maybe it is just a cold.
