The rise of the BJP from a mere two seats to a staggering eighty-two in the Lok Sabha following the Ram Janmabhoomi incident is a clear indicator of how deeply this issue has been politicized. It has little to do with Ram himself; it's more about power, control, and a narrative that serves a certain ideology. Now, I usually don't delve into this kind of questioning. Most of the time, you can just hop onto the internet, and you'll find a plethora of information that's accurate and well-researched. But this topic? It's murky. I've stumbled upon articles that claim, yes, there was a temple there. But let's be real-who's to say the BJP isn't censoring information? I watched Anand Patwardhan's documentary "Ram Ke Naam," and it paints a vivid picture of the chaos surrounding this issue. The consensus there was that multiple temples in Ayodhya claimed to be the birthplace of Ram, but the Hindu nationalists zeroed in on the Babri Masjid, declaring it the true Janmabhoomi.
