What’s your favorite Eris fic that you’ve written and Why?

"The Apparition." I love the idea of Eris driven to madness by grief and if I'm ever able to crawl out of the depths of writers block, I'll explore more and add to it.

What do you enjoy most about creating content for Eris?

I love writing for Eris because I feel like compared to other ACOTAR characters, there's a bit less content and a lot less development by SJM so there's more free reign regarding his personality/traits/etc.

How do you think Eris views love and romance?

He def views love as dangerous given the whole "Vanserra" thing, but he does love fiercely.

What’s Eris’s guilty pleasure?

His love for his hounds, his brothers, and his mother is def his guilty pleasure.

How do you think Eris's upbringing influenced his behavior?

His upbringing made him a cautious and conniving little shit and I love the comparison that he's who Rhys would have become without the IC.

Give us a name for one of his brothers

I've used the names "Bastian" and "Alarik" in both of my Eris fics (not very proud of Arcane but it was my first ever fic and I needed to get it out there.)

He absolutely has a hound named Orla and you can't change my mind about that. She's his oldest and he loves her to death.

Honestly one of my favorite episodes so far, maybe even THE favorite. Kirsten screentime is always good, Heather actually feels almost like a real character, some good action, and development for the Fisk plot. This episode actually has weight to it, something that I kinda feel the first episodes lacked. My opinion of this show has gotten higher w each episode, and I’m actually hyped for S2 now :))

In no particular order:

8 - 2 vs Barcelona: I mean, pretty self explanatory. It was like our 7 - 1 in brasil 2014.

5 - 1 vs Wolfsburg: literally who would've thought we'd witness a literal world record happen in front of our very own eyes in less than TEN MINUTES? that was absurd but in a good way! till this day i feel bad for vfl's keeper to the point i remember his name JAJAJJA

1 - 0 vs PSG: i was going through some stuff around that time (and believe it or not it wasn't because of the pandemic or anything related to it) so i was really not with my head in the game sort of speak, i literally watched the match in zombie mode until the goal happened and there i woke up a little and then when the match ended i bursted out crying JAJAJJA, it was like the perfect occasion to release emotions and it literally brightened my day, it was just what i needed that moment!

4 - 2 vs Juventus: i legit have this match downloaded on my laptop, in fact i watched it fairly recently! it's just the fact that we literally had ALL THE ODDS against our favor, losing during 90 minutes only for thomas to score literally on stoppage time AND THEN secure the match in less than two minutes? that was WILD! probably the most memorable in my book.

2 - 1 vs Köln: look, for the sake of transparency i didn't watch the match when it happened. It's not that i lost hope but rather they played very early and i prioritized my sleeping time 😂 but idk how effective that was since i slept like shit knowing deep down this was the title defining match going neck to neck against the bees nonetheless! but surprisingly i woke up just when both matches ended and i remember asking here "WHAT HAPPENED" and someone said "we won bundes!!" and then seeing the dash's reaction and finding out we won during the last minute + the bees blew it.... my jaw hit the floor omg.

4 - 0 vs Chicago Fire: I know this was a friendly but it was Bastian's farewell match and dude..... it was so emotional. Seeing him cry his heart out in a dim light stadium where everyone were cheering on him while a spotlight focused on him was just too heartwarming. Seeing club legends retire is never easy so i hope that doesn't happen ANY TIME SOON 😭

2 - 1 vs Dortmund: now this one is extra special because at the time i was familiar with bayern thanks to mr bavaria but i wasn't exactly a die hard "must watch every match" kind of fan, it was more of a casual thing and i remember coming back from school or something, turning on the tv and i swear to GOTH literally thirty seconds later robben scored and i was so confused about everything until the match ended and i was like "oh, they won a trophy, that's nice :))".......it was later when i realized the importance of the entire thing 🤪

vs Villareal: now i know this sounds weird but like, there hasn't been a day where i don't question myself "how the everloving fuck did we lose against them?". ALL THEY DID was make all eleven players defend their area, that's literally it.... AND YET WE COULDN'T BEAT THEM! I AM STILL DUMBFOUNDED AND CAN'T GET OVER IT.

1 - 3 vs Liverpool: once again.... i know this is odd given bayern lost...... but these are my two favorite teams of all time. I remember when it was announced both teams were playing against each other i felt personally attacked, i literally couldn't decide who to cheer on, every goal felt bad, every attack felt bad, and seeing how bayern lost in horrible fashion it was like... i couldn't even celebrate for lfc, i was in neutral mode and it was wild. At least it eventually led lfc to win ucl but still, it was 180+ minutes of double tension 😵‍💫

7 - 2 vs Tottenham: honestly how can you forget this one? it was absurd! serge came out for blood that day, against the sp*rs nonetheless!!!! i know we always joke about bayern destroying london teams but this was just unexpected, right now i feel like rewatching 😂

I'm pretty sure i'm missing one or two matches that shook me to the core, but i guess these will do rn. It was fun!

Now going into a deep discussion about nmfy... I need to tell you that I missed your writing you are so talented it always blows my mind. So it was a treat reading your fic again.

This chapter fuuuck you made me feel every single emotion Laurent had ... His love and his anger felt so real 😭 and August... Well I'm going to be 100% honest usually I don't care too much about characters that our narrator doesn't care much about (damen) even more if they are never there. Yet I really like your August, I liked him even more because fics often write him like a perfect person and to me he doesn't feel real. I get that to Lauren, who was a kid with a 10 years older brother, August was/is perfect but reading him like that doesn't feel real. So kudos to your August to be real, to have flaws, feeling beside loving Laurent etc.

About him and Damen..... I'm always with whoever tells the story so in this case Laurent and I'm with him I would also feel jealous as fuck and like I'm the second option. And I keep imagining what would happen if both needed Damen at the same time who would he choose what would happen. 🧐🧐🧐

I think Damen's reaction to laurent and Bastian was so good and in character for a Scorpio. Those assholes I love them and I hate them (my dad and my two best friends are 🦂♏)

I read your answer about him being an Scorpio and I agree completely but something funny to me is that if I didn't headcanon Vere/Akielos as Europe and they were from my side of the world Damen would be a Taurus and Laurent an Scorpio and that make sense to me too. Haha I hc them like you but I think it is funny that they still work the other way around.

Also I don't know how you feel about this but...... August is definitely an Aries... Hear me out he's a natural leader, a good fighter (the best Laurent has seen) willing to die for what he believes/loves. Impulsive with a chaotic maybe even obsessed personality while also makes him lose interest very fast. Aries and Scorpio (damen) are an amazing good/bad relationship because both are very intense. I think an Aries would def kill someone like August did very messy and passionately impulsive irrational and they would 100% call their Scorpio best friend a more dark strategist who won't panic because they are capable of killing too. But he would also be great at planning how to get rid of the evidence. They (we haha im an Aries too) are also kinda selfish which I feel August is like he thinks Damen hates him for mixing him in his secrets yet he keeps calling. But I'm suree you have you hc for him so please tell me everything even if you think he is a idk a cancer soo please tell me everything.

But Aries sun I absolutely vibe with 100%, everything you said is perfect and works well with Damen’s character too.

I had no idea what I was walking into with this sequel. I had hopes.. and Jenna surpassed them. I can’t exactly say what I want to without spoiling the book for you, so go out and get yourself a copy. If you love witches, vampires, magic, and have no icks about certain tropes (just look at the title), then you’ll enjoy this!

Normally, I take issue with flashbacks, but these flashbacks actually served a purpose. You get several glimpses into the past, betrayals come to light, and a new path is paved for the future. I just- I loved this. I loved it all.

Okay no, talking seriusly I don't know if this something that works for the fic or if you'd even want to write it buut I would loveee to read some flashback scene.. it could be anything from Laurent and Damen's relationship before or some Damen x Auguste teen moments. That also made me think maybe some lil change of pov could help? Even if its not Auguste or Damen.. it could be anyone from their other friends to their fathers or maybe Paschal. Or a scene with Laurent actually going to therapy and talking to Paschal. I mean I know I'm always fun and parties 😝 but maybe one of this ideas help the story?

In the meantime I will go back to my recap writing and reading. Todays q&a is: Did Damen (ever) really get jealous of Bastian? Or was more like I hate this asshole? Because if he didn't then Laurent needs to find someone to make him a bit jealous Haha jk jk

I’m not much of a Dual POV fan? Occasionally I guess, it depends on the story or fic obv, but I generally don't vibe with it. Maybe I’ll do a Damen time-stamp as a one-shot or something because I have A LOT of feelings about their past haha MAYBE

OMG for real, I've scrapped so many Paschal scenes 😭😭 I didn't want to get too bogged down with the actual therapy part because it never reads that well in fic imo and I like that the only time you really see Paschal, it's kind of Auguste-centric? Idk, I feel like it makes sense haha

And to answer your question no, Damen's not really jealous of Bastian. I think his increasing anger is certainly coloured by his feelings for Laurent, but Damen has disliked Bastian for longer than he’s been romantically invested in Laurent. It’s Bastian’s lack of respect and total disregard that really gets Damen. And a bit of possessiveness, but as a treat, and mostly to make Bastian back off for making Laurent uncomfortable.

Haha! Tbh I prefer jealous Laurent, because in canon jealous Laurent is way more fun than Damen's brooding.

But that being said Bastian has a few more scenes in him yet so maybe I’ll let you interpret it the way you want 😂
