the second i saw the temple mural in rebels i knew i had to do this
[Image ID: A mural-style drawing of Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka styled after the mural of the Mortis gods seen in Rebels. Ahsoka is on the right in her white robe and carrying her scepter, a morai perched on her shoulder. Obi wan is in the middle in his Jedi robes, one hand raised. The Jedi Order symbol is behind his head. Anakin stands on the right, with one half of his face obscured by his Darth Vader mask. His hand is clenched into a fist.]
Version without noise (along with me ranting about couple details I'm way too proud of) under the cut:
Tumblr media
The beams of light are emanating from the Jedi Order symbol for Obi-Wan, but for Anakin and Ahsoka they are centred on Obi-Wan's heart
The beams emanating from Obi-Wan all reach the edge of the canvas, but for Anakin and Ahsoka some are incomplete
The colours circling their hands are indicative of their lightsaber colours
The light circling Anakin's hand is tinged blue in Obi-Wan's direction
The light circling Ahsoka's hand is primarily white, but tinged in green, and tinged blue in Anakin's direction

A/N: Happy May the Fourth! Happy Star Wars Day! Wrote an Obi-Wan fic last year so thought I’d keep up the tradition this year as well. It’s not the best thing I’ve ever written, certainly not the best smut, but I did end up rushing it a little to get it posted today so
sorry! This is for @lightwxlker who I told about this over lunch at uni <3 (feel free to read but please never look me in the eye again if you do). Can’t wait to see you later to see The Phantom Menace!!
Consider buying me a coffee :)
Absolution:
(Noun)
Formal release from guilt, obligation, or punishment.
Declaration that a person’s sins have been forgiven.
It felt like you'd been trekking through the dense forest for days. Really, it had only been a few hours. But with no end in sight, and Obi-Wan's continuous promise of almost there, you were convinced that the two of you had been lost for about a week.
The Jedi had told you that you were in search of a hidden community that had answers to some questions that the Council had about... something. You didn't know. You rarely paid attention when Obi-Wan explained these things. As much as you respected him, these briefings started to sound the same after a while. It was the thing he reprimanded you for most often.
"Can we-" You wheezed. "Can we stop for just a minute?"
"Soon." He called over his shoulder simply, pushing aside a leafy branch for the both of you to pass through.
You considered pushing him over, tripping him up maybe, and even just stabbing him with your lightsaber. Just to have a break for a moment. It was unclear how he managed to walk through dense forest for hours on end without even a hint of fatigue peeking through. You envied him for it.
Luckily, your prayers were answered when a clearing appeared. It was small, sheltered by the canopy of trees above you, but it was a good place to stop. You didn't even have to say the word, Obi-Wan already knew what you wanted.
"Fine, rest here for a moment." He sighed, pointing at a rock.
You collapsed quickly, thankful for the brief reprieve, and watched as the Jedi made a slow circle around the clearing. He was inspecting every little thing there was to see. If there was one thing you had in common with the man, it was your curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
"Rather fascinating." He mumbled to himself, ignoring the burning of your stare on his back as he moved, poking at a fungus of some kind with the tip of his finger.
"Be careful. It might be poisonous." You warned, stretching out your legs in front of you.
"I know my living organisms." He replied steadily, pulling up and moving on to the next one.
It was a flower. Rather large, with pinkish petals and an indigo centre extending on from a bright green stem. It looked vaguely familiar to you. You racked your brain, thinking about the botany books you'd spent your spare time reading when Obi-Wan had insisted that you should know more about the planets you were constantly visiting.
Nothing was coming to you. Maybe you hadn't seen it in one of those books. Your head tilted as you watched the Jedi stroke gently at the petals with the backs of his fingers, mumbling about how it felt soft, and something came back to you when the flower seemed to move of its own accord.
"Get back." You shot up from the rock you were previously sitting on and took a quick step towards him.
"It's fine." He insisted, not looking at you - too entranced by the flower as he continued to caress the petals. He didn't know this one. He found it intriguing.
You remembered where you'd seen the flower before. A book hidden deep in the archives, where you ventured when you knew no one was looking, part of a collection of things that the Jedi were not supposed to have interest in.
Your pace picked up as the flower curled in on itself, the fleeting look of disappoint clear on Obi-Wan's face, reaching for his shoulder to wrench him back.
"No! Obi-Wan, stop!"
But it was too late.
As you made contact with his robes to pull him away, the flower blossomed open. A bright cloud of purple pollen burst out and coated the two of you, settling itself over your skin and infiltrating your lungs, and therefore your blood stream, as you breathed it in.
You coughed, scrubbing at yourself to try and get it off. But you knew you were past that.
The Jedi turned to you, surprised to see the panic in your eyes. "It's just flower pollen, nothing a little water won't wash away."
Your voice was shaky as you spoke. "What have you done?"
He frowned and glanced back at the plant. It wasn't one he recognised, granted, but he also hadn't been warned of anything dangerous in this area. So he really wasn't concerned. "I don't understand. What's wrong?"
"It's a flos venerem." You whispered. "We need to find shelter."
As you turned around in a slow circle, trying to decide which way you were more likely to find somewhere to figure everything out, Obi-Wan watched you with a curious gaze.
"And what is a flos venerem?"
You scoffed over your shoulder at him. "Do you ever read?"
You knew it was an unfair question considering the place you'd read about the flower wasn't one he, or any other Jedi, frequented but you were angry and frightened. Angry at him for not listening to your warnings. And frightened for yourself since you knew what the flower was going to do to you.
He looked on as you closed your eyes, feeling out with the Force. "Now is not the time to insult me. Tell me."
You whirled on him. "It's an aphrodisiac. A powerful one. And if we don't find shelter soon then you're going to be doing some strange things to these trees."
Obi-Wan frowned, puzzled by what you were saying. "Is there a cure?"
You laughed humourlessly, turning away from him again. "Is there a cure? Is there a cure, he asks. Ha!"
"An antidote?"
"No, there's no antidote." You hissed.
The effects of the pollen were already weighing on you. You imagined Obi-Wan was also feeling something as well, just unaware of it. At least you knew what you were supposed to be feeling. The Jedi Knight had no idea.
Your mouth felt dry, like sand on your tongue, and your skin was hot to the touch. A dull headache was forming at the base of your skull too and you knew these sensations would only get worse if you didn't do what the flower wanted you to. There really was only one way to fix it. But you couldn't find it in yourself to tell your companion the solution. You were ignoring the heavy feeling in the base of your abdomen.
Sensing your apprehension wasn't overstated, Obi-Wan pointed back in the direction you'd come from. "There was a cave a little while ago. We can go there and you can tell me more about this... aphrodisiac flower."
You only nodded, lacking the strength to tell him that you wouldn't be able to listen to his voice out of fear of what bodily responses that would cause in you. Your existing attraction to Obi-Wan would only be increased by the influence of the plant. And you were scared what you'd do, or what you'd suggest, to ease the feelings.
You started marching in the direction the two of you had come from, jumping away from Obi-Wan as he fell into step beside you and his shoulder brushed yours.
"Keep- keep your distance for a while." You muttered, pushing away the lick of heat that had shot through you at his proximity.
He frowned back at you, feeling bad for making you so clearly uncomfortable. "My apologies."
"It's okay. I'm just-" You cut yourself off with a groan.
Obi-Wan's stomach lurched at the sound. "You're just what?"
"The flower is making it difficult to be next to you." You turned your head away from him, desperately trying to breathe in the clean forest air and nothing else. But all you could smell was him. The scent was so strong that you could practically taste him, his skin, and it was making your mouth water.
"You're already feeling the effects of the flower?" He hummed, pondering. "I feel nothing so far."
It wasn't true. But he was completely unaware of what he was feeling. He put the dry mouth and headache down to minor exhaustion, the hike through the forest finally catching up with him. And the stirring he was feeling... down below was foreign. The Jedi secretly believed that maybe he was immune to the flower's influence.
He was severely wrong.
You glanced back at him, instantly looking away when you caught his wide-eyed gaze. His eyes were so blue, so familiar.
You marched ahead of him, ignoring his quiet protests as you urgently sought out the cave. It came into sights quickly and your pace picked up, practically running towards it now. When you reached it, you discarded your top layer of robes, the heat your body was producing making it feel as if you were melting, and left your lightsaber by the entrance to the stone shelter. You feared what you may do with it when the flower's effects got even worse.
Obi-Wan followed closely behind you and watched with curious attention at your actions, slightly puzzled when you made your way towards the back of the cave and sat down facing the wall.
"Sit over there." You pointed over your shoulder to a spot far away from yourself. "I need to think."
"Trying to remember an antidote?" He asked, wondering what there possibly was to think about right now. And without his help as well.
"Sure." You sighed, closing your eyes as you took a deep breath. You weren't thinking about an antidote since you knew there wasn't one. You were considering your options. Even though you knew they were limited. Very limited.
He trusted your word however, which was mildly foolish of him, and took a seat where you'd instructed him to do so. He kept his gaze on you, fixated on the back of your head, as he observed your breathing pick up and then slow back down several times of the course of a few minutes.
What Obi-Wan failed to notice was how his breathing was in tune with yours, increasing when yours did and lowering when yours did.
It didn't escape him though when the flower's influence started to manipulate his body even more. The dry mouth, dull headache, rapid heartbeat, and hardened dick were becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. And Obi-Wan couldn't stay in denial for much longer.
So he called out your name.
Big mistake.
You jumped at the sound, having to bite your tongue to prevent noise slipping from your lips, and glanced at him over your shoulder."Yes?"
"I believe the flower is finally setting in." He decided that was the best way to put it and not that the sight of you was making him think things he hadn't even considered since he was a lot younger.
You looked at him silently for a second too long, eyes flicking downwards before moving back up to meet his again. "Meaning?"
His brows creased for a moment. "You know."
You did. So you turned back towards the wall and stared at it. "I'm thinking really hard about it, okay? I'll work something out."
Lies.
Time progressed slowly, moving at a sluggish pace that had you wanting to claw your way out of the cave in temporary insanity, and you could hear Obi-Wan's condition growing steadily worse by the minute.
You were finding it a lot easier than him to control yourself, probably due to your more extensive knowledge on the subject of simple carnal pleasure. But Obi-Wan was losing it.
You kept your eyes focused on the stone in front of you, desperately trying to ignore the sounds that Obi-Wan was making behind you. The breathless whimpers that were leaving his mouth were heavenly to your ears, creating a pulse that shook through your body regularly. Despite the sounds making you feel good, it was getting harder and harder to stop yourself from giving in and crawling over to him. Especially since you could hear him tearing off at least one layer of his clothing.
"Obi-Wan, please be quiet." You whispered, just loud enough for him to hear.
To the Jedi your voice sounded husky, tempting almost. "I cannot help it. Please help me."
His voice was desperate, almost whiny, as he begged you for some sort of assistance. If only he knew what that assistance was.
You squeezed your eyes closed, resting your face in your hands. "I'm trying."
It was a lie. You knew that nothing could be done. The passage from the book you'd read about the flower had been very clear. Death was inevitable. Unless you engaged with someone... intimately.
It was the only method that would get your bodily reactions to calm down. If not, the next few days would be painful for the both of you. You'd be extremely aroused the whole time, heart racing at a million beats per minute, sweat would pour out of you and cause severe dehydration that would be impossible to remedy, and finally your body would give up from the sheer exhaustion of trying to handle it all. Then, you'd drop dead.
Just how exactly were you supposed to voice that to Obi-Wan, the man who'd boasted about his ability to follow the Order's rules for years, that the only way for the both of you to survive this was to sleep together? And how were you supposed to recover from possibly finally having the man you'd wanted for so long for just one night and then never again?
"I can sense that you're keeping something from me."
Your head snapped up at his statement. He was correct, sure, but you hadn't expected him to pick up on it in his state.
So you turned around to look at him, legs crossed in front of you and back against the wall to keep yourself as far from him as possible.
"There is one solution that I know of." You confessed, still thinking of a way to tell him.
"Just tell me. I know it's troubling you. It's okay." Obi-Wan's tone was soft and comforting.
You took a deep breath in. "You won't like it."
"Do we have a choice?"
You let the breath out again. "Death."
He released a tired and humourless chuckle. "I can assure you that I'll prefer whatever solution you have to death. So tell me."
You debated what words would spook the Jedi less. Were you clinical and informative? Or soft and subtle? The sweat dripping from his temple, begging to be licked away by the tip of your tongue, was telling you to be harsh and raw with him.
Your gaze fixed on his mouth. "We have to have sex, Obi-Wan. Multiple times probably." The last part was added on for emphasis, meant to draw a reaction out of him.
He gave it to you. His already flushed cheeks reddened some more, eyes darting away from yours momentarily. It's not that the antidote was unexpected, he figured that it would lead somewhere like this considering the two of you had been contaminated by an aphrodisiac, but he thought maybe that there would be another solution. Or that you'd at least beat around the bush a little more.
Obi-Wan didn't know how to tell you that he'd never done something like that before so wouldn't even know where to start.
Little did he know that you were already well aware of that fact.
"I'll guide you through it." You paused. "But once we get started I don't think you'll need much guidance. The effects of the pollen will probably lead you."
His eyes snapped back to you, a frown pinching between them. "And what do you know of it?"
"Obi-Wan..." You mumbled, tilting your head down slightly to give him a meaningful look.
He didn't look thrilled at the notion.
You scoffed, annoyance bubbling at his obvious judgement. "We all have a past."
He knew what you meant. Sure, everyone had a past. He just didn't realise you had that sort of past. Still, he realised he had no place to pass judgement against you.
Heat pulsed between your thighs at the sudden wide-eyed apologetic look he was giving you. A groan rumbled in your chest and you squeezed your eyes shut.
"I see that this is hard for you." He whispered and you attempted to hold back a laugh thinking that this probably wasn't the only thing that was hard. "So, how about you come over here and... show me what we have to do."
You looked back at him, surprised by the boldness he was showing. Yes, he wasn't a shy man by any means but you thought he'd have been a bit less confident in this situation. Or maybe the whole thing would just be so meaningless to him that he thought it'd be easy.
Obi-Wan could feel random muscles in his body clenching as you stared at him. He'd never felt like this before. He'd always known that you were beautiful, it was impossible to ignore, but he'd never thought much else of it. But now? He couldn't do anything else apart from think about it.
You slowly pushed yourself up from your seated position and fell onto your hands and knees, too tense to stand up, and made your way towards him steadily. He was surprised to find himself practically buzzing at the sight of you crawling towards him, a ravenous look on your face. You stopped about a foot in front of him, looking up into his eyes through your eyelashes.
A hand reached out for you.
You took it.
With his help, you settled yourself over Obi-Wan's lap, a leg either side of his thighs so you straddled him. You didn't let your weight rest on him just yet, wanting to check in quickly to make sure he was okay. It was taking everything in your power not to start touching him all over despite your overactive brain basically screaming at you to do so.
His eyes moved rapidly, taking you in as he searched across your body. A hand landed on either of your hips, encouraging you to move closer to him. So you did, chest pushing slightly against his and weight pressing into his lap as you sat down. The both of you let out a sigh at the contact, pain eased for just a few moments.
It was then that you noticed you'd sat on something extremely hard.
"Is that a lightsaber in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" You chuckled, about to reach down to remove the weapon from the inside of his robes.
But Obi-Wan's eyes flickered over your shoulder to somewhere behind you. Slowly, you turned to see what he was looking out, a small pinch between your eyebrows, and saw where you'd discarded your own lightsaber earlier. What you were surprised to find was his lightsaber resting up against a rock beside yours.
"Oh." You croaked and looked back at him, eyes shooting to his crotch for a brief moment. "You are just happy to see me."
"The flower." He grumbled lowly.
Your heart fell momentarily, your face along with it, before you recovered and looked downwards towards his chest. "Right, of course."
Realising he'd made a fatal mistake, Obi-Wan placed a finger under your chin and tilted your head up to make eye contact again. "A combined effect of the flower and... you."
Your mouth dropped open for a second, dazed by his statement, before a smile blossomed along your face. "There was one thing I forgot to mention."
"And what was that?" His eyes were fixed on your mouth now.
"The flower's effects are stronger and fast acting if you are already attracted to the person you're with at the time of exposure." You leaned towards him closer, the tips of your noses brushing against each other. "I expected to feel the influence at least an hour or two before you did, Master."
A soft sound, somewhere between a moan and a whine, escaped his lips at the use of the title. It surprised you, you hadn't thought he'd be into that kind of thing. You didn't give him a chance to give you a real response though, the noise he'd just made finally pushing you over the edge.
You cupped his face in your hands and kissed him, thumbs swiping over his cheeks to wipe the purple pollen away. He let out another sound at that, this one more shocked, but equally as unrestrained. Your mouth opened just in time to catch it and swallow it against your own moan at finally feeling his lips melding with yours.
Usually, in the past, you’d have some sense of patience in this situation. But it’s like the feeling of his skin under your palms and his lips against yours, your tongue in his mouth, sent the pollen vibrating in your bloodstream. And before you knew it, your hands were tearing at his clothes, absolutely desperate to get them off.
And while Obi-Wan was a little more hesitant than you, inexperience slowing him down, once he felt how eager you were he could only join in on the action. His hands were soft, almost silky, like they hadn’t ever seen a day of hard labour in his life, and they sent warm bursts of electricity through you as they slid against your skin.
All barriers between you were removed in less than a minute, although time seemed to be flying now that you’d actually gotten beyond just staring at each other and ignoring all feelings your body had been screaming at you to address.
“Do you know what comes next, Master?” You questioned, wondering how out of practice he really was.
Obi-Wan seemed to pause, taking a long thought, before saying anything. “I’ve never done this before.”
“I know.” You said and he seemed both embarrassed and surprised. “That’s not what I was asking. Do you know what happens?”
“I’ve heard things.” He admitted slowly.
Up until this point you’d been trying to avoid looking down at his naked body. Sure, the two of you had been pretty enthusiastic in taking the other’s clothes off but neither of you had verbally stated what you were comfortable with actually doing. That didn’t mean you couldn’t feel every inch of him pressing against you though. Somehow in the tumble of robe removal, you’d slid forward on his lap which had caused your torsos to connect. And you hadn’t bothered to move back again.
You searched his face for any sign of discomfort, finding none. “Can I touch you?”
He sputtered. “You already are.”
“No-“ You took a deep breath. “Can I touch you
 down there?”
You were hesitant to say certain words to him, cringing at just the thought of them coming out of your mouth and entering his ears. You shouldn’t be shy about this, having done this countless times before. But now you were doing it with Obi-Wan, someone you admired with the deepest affection, it felt different. A good different but different nonetheless.
“Oh.” The flush he’d been sporting across his face stretched to meet the tip of his ears and you reached up to tuck some hair back away from them. “Yes, you can.”
You could see that the lust the flower caused had taken over all rational thought as his irises, usually so blue and bright, had been consumed by his pupils dilating. Was this a good idea, you silently wondered? Did he truly want this? Or was the flos venerem speaking for him?
Before you had the chance to ponder over that even more, the animal instincts in your brain took over and your hand was wrapping around his, pretty sizeable, cock.
He hissed at the sensation of your warm palm touching him and you observed his reaction with hungry curiosity. You liked the way his eyes fluttered closed and his teeth sunk into his bottom lip, the way his head snapped back against the cave wall and he didn’t even seem to notice that it should’ve hurt. He was too absorbed in the pleasurable way that you were touching him.
You were touching him.
Obi-Wan felt as if he were flying amongst the stars.
Your hand slid up and down his length, taking in every minor reaction he gave you to see what he liked. The answer was: he liked all of it. No matter the pace of your strokes, the pressure of your squeeze, or the angle of the twist, Obi-Wan revelled in it all.
Every sound he made caused what felt like a flood to pour from between your thighs, skin prickling with flames of desire. You increased the speed of the pumps against his shaft, feeling him twitch in your hand. Obi-Wan started babbling to himself, something you couldn’t quite understand but realised were certainly happy mumblings. It didn’t take much more until he was orgasming, cum spurting out of him in hot ropes and coating both of your stomachs.
You weren’t surprised to see that he remained hard. At least the botany books hadn’t lied to you about the multiple times thing.
“Need you inside me now, Obi-Wan.” You whispered, pleased when his eyes seemed to spark with something akin to excitement. Pushing yourself up slightly, you took him in your hand again and aligned him with your entrance. Notching him against you, you inched down onto him slowly, feeling your hips stutter willing you to go faster, and watched his face scrunch up in pleasure.
“Does that feel good?” You asked despite knowing the answer. You just wanted to hear him say something, even a noise of approval would work for you.
He nodded rapidly and whined. “Yes, yes.”
Pleasure rocketed up your spine, walls clenching around him and he whimpered again. His hips bucked up underneath you and your eyes rolled back in your head.
He did it again.
You came.
A shocked laugh escaped your throat as the orgasm rippled through. You hadn’t realised it would be that easy but given that you’d denied yourself any friction and stimulation for way too long considering the situation you were in, it only made sense.
Obi-Wan’s eyes widened. “Did you just-?”
“Yes.” You sighed and rocked your hips against his, thighs still trembling with the aftershock.
“Stars-“ He gasped, head falling forward to bury his face in your neck. You smiled at the feeling of his beard scratching against your skin and moved faster.
Time became a haze, multiple orgasms rolled into a blur, and before you know it you felt like you couldn’t move anymore. Your legs ached, your body dripped with sweat and your breathing was shaky and uneven.
But you were determined for one more.
Obi-Wan gasped about it being too much but couldn’t stop himself from continuing to thrust up underneath you. Which you were thankful for considering you could feel your thighs cramping up and barely managing to support your weight. His arms locked around you, trapping you against him, as he pounded into you urgently like he was chasing something. He was really. And you could understand.
“Come on, Master, just one more.” You murmured against his temple.
It took only those words of encouragement for Obi-Wan to spill inside you once again, the feeling of that setting you off as well. And finally the two of you relaxed, the pollen’s effects wearing away.
The two of you sat against each other breathless for a moment before you eased up off of him and settled beside him. He immediately collapsed against you, sliding down until his head met your lap. You placed a hand in his hair as his breathing slowed down to a normal pace.
Now that the high had passed, guilt was setting in.
“What have I done?” Obi-Wan croaked, burying his face against your thighs.
You froze, knowing you should be feeling this same shame but not finding it in yourself to care. At least not right now. “It’s okay.”
“No!” He almost wailed. “I broke- I broke rules. Sacred Jedi code.”
“You had no choice. It was either that or death.” Tears stung at the backs of your eyeballs, willing yourself not to crack and break down. He needed you to be strong. “There was no other way.”
He knew you were right, a small seed of relief buried deep in his chest. He didn’t have another choice. But then there was another matter

You continued to try to make him feel better. "The council will forgive you, Obi-Wan. It couldn't have been helped."
The Jedi could only nod in reply. That wasn't what worried him anymore, your logical argument had been enough to reassure him of that. What did worry him is how much he wanted it to happen again.
He glanced up at you. "What about you? Can you forgive me?"
You paused, hand stilling against the side of his head. "There's nothing to be forgiven."
"Please." He whispered against your skin. "Please just-"
It hurt you to hear the break in his voice. A man, usually so confident, reduced to this. All because of something out of his control.
You took a deep breath, stared straight ahead at the cave wall opposite you, tears in your eyes and a hand combing through his hair. "I forgive you, Obi-Wan."
A/N: I listened to Star Wars ambience on YouTube as I wrote most of this. Hope you enjoyed!

THE ROCKROSE AND THE THISTLE
➛ THE BEGINNING
a/n: originally this fic was a one shot. except it became too long to keep it as one part so it's split into two. this is honestly me obsessing over the idea of anakin remaining anakin while being a sith. no armor, no mask, just him with yellow eyes. so i ran with it and turned it as angsty as possible.
summary: after the galatic republic fell to its knees, whispers of anakin skywalker begin to surface. claims that he was no longer the hero they once knew, but a darkness they came to fear. darth vader. yet when he begins to call to you in dreams, you make a choice that might kill you in the end. you choose
to save him.
OR old friends meet now as enemies.
word count: 4.5k+
pairing: anakin skywalker x f!reader; darth vader x f!reader
warnings: not explicit, angst, so much of it that it's insane, the hunger for what once was, anakin being evil, dark dreams, talk of death, trauma, fluff, padwan!anakin, soft romance, hopes being tarnished.
THE END | FIC MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
His laughter stuck to your skin like a cold sweated fever that refused to pass. It edged its way towards your heart, breaking open your ribs and settling right underneath them. You gasped for air, the heat of the planet seeping into your already bare body with every passing second, and if you weren’t careful it might kill you. Choke you while you slept and continued to dream of the one person you couldn’t save—even if it wasn’t your job to do so.
“C’mon Bandit, that's the best you can do?”
You could see him, a smile on face as he danced around you—the assuredness in his stance and ease in his nature did nothing but make your heart twist violently. The both of you were so young. So innocent and naive; holding beliefs that the galaxy wasn’t as cruel as the Jedi Masters made it out to be. It was a hope that you held more than he did. A reminder in the back of your head that you hadn’t chosen to become this without knowing the consequences. After all, what was light without the darkness that crept around in the shadows, waiting for a chance to strike.
How oblivious were you to what was truly going on with him? How could you not see it? The turmoil behind those blue eyes of his, the pain that laced his voice with every word he spoke to you.
“Anakin,” you breathed, your hand clutching at the sheets that were tossed over your body.
“Well don’t just stand there padawan,” he called out as you were pulled once more into a dream you did your best to fight against.
Twisting your body away from the close swipe of his lightsaber, you felt the heat of the blade brush past your cheek. Master Obi-Wan had said you weren’t yet allowed to fight like this, but Anakin always did like to break the rules. Even if it meant getting hurt. Yanking your own lightsaber off the belt it hung loosely from, you pressed the switch—feeling and hearing the familiar thrum of it as it came to life.
“Last time I checked we’re both padawans Skywalker!” You dodged his move, nearly landing into the bushes that lined the edges of the training courtyard.
He shrugged. “Yeah, but in terms of training, I’m definitely ahead of you.”
Scoffing, you leapt forward, swinging the lightsaber towards his leg. He stepped out of the way, attempting to avoid being sliced open but your other leg got beneath his sturdy one, swiping it out from underneath him and causing him to topple to the ground. He fell with a groan of pain—his lightsaber landing a few feet away, now turned off. Anakin’s eyes went wide as you brought your green blade down until it was directly in front of his nose—nearly singing the hair off his face.
“You were saying?”
“What are you two doing?” Obi-Wan’s voice echoed off the walls, startling you from where you stood above Anakin. “I thought I told the both of you that training alone was off limits until you were ready.”
“Master—” Anakin began, his hand reaching out for something—eyes flashing up to see the panicked expression on your face.
“We were just—”
Obi-Wan raising his hand stopped you in your tracks, the all too familiar sigh leaving his lips as he walked towards you. Shifting your footing, you moved to give Anakin space to get up, but didn’t expect his lightsaber to fly through the air, nearly hitting you in the shoulder. He jumped up—a joyous cry of victory echoing around you as he swung his lightsaber towards you, the blue glow of his blade heading towards you.
Switching yours on with a swiftness neither of you knew you possessed, you managed to block his attack—the clashing of the two colors flashing before your eyes. Obi-Wan’s pleas for the both of you to cease whatever this was were suddenly drowned out as you glanced up—a smile on your face.
Expecting to see the friendly blue eyes you’d grown attached to, you felt a shock go through your system as you were met with a glowing yellow. The green of your blade was striking against the red of the lightsaber he held—his teeth bared in a snarl. Dropping your weapon, you stumbled back as he advanced, a cry of his name leaving your mouth. No longer were you friendly sparring with a boy you’d known as long as you’d been alive, but instead you now faced the man who had been twisted up inside—the man you couldn’t save.
“Anakin!” you shouted, hitting the cold ground beneath you.
Gasping sharply, you shot up in the makeshift bed you had on the rocky floor of what looked to be a cave. A ragged sob left you as you scrambled to gather the sheets around your body, tears streaming down your face while the memories of your dream played on repeat in your mind. Anakin’s face—the jagged scar running down his face, the sinister yellow eyes, the absolute fury in his expression—left you shaking. That was not the boy you had known, but a mere fragmented piece of him that still lived in your mind.
It took you a few minutes to remember where exactly you were and how you got there. But eventually you were able to recall landing on Tatooine, the call from Obi-Wan through the Force coming in loud and clear as you meditated on your ship. For years you’d been traveling from planet to planet. Hiding wherever you could and searching for any Jedi that might still be alive. You knew it was a small possibility, but you couldn’t ignore the tug in your gut at the idea.
So far you counted three. Obi-Wan, a boy from Bracca that recognized you when you hid on the planet, and Ahsoka Tano. The hunt for more put you in a state of constant weariness. With every Jedi you found dead, you continued to feel the break in your connection to the Force. The pain you suffered now brought you to the very edge of giving up entirely.
What use was being a Jedi if you had no one to protect but yourself?
You couldn’t even recall the image of your master’s face anymore, let alone remember what it felt like when peace lived within the galaxy. Now you were constantly looking over your shoulder. The fear of being found, always leaving you teetering on the edge of panic.
Exhaling out a stuttered breath, you heard your name called from the other side of the cave as Obi-Wan was roused from his own sleep. The twin suns were starting to rise in the distance—light breaking through the darkness within the rocks and you felt some sense of peace fill your lungs. For now you would push the nightmare aside and focus on the present. There was no use remaining in the past—in things you couldn’t change.
No matter how much you wished you could.
“Is everything alright?” Obi-Wan asked, his bare feet coming into your line of sight as he shuffled closer.
You nodded, the sweat sticking to the back of your neck. “Yeah I just
I had a nightmare.”
He sat beside you on the floor, offering you a small canteen filled with water, which you took gratefully. “About Anakin?”
Simply hearing his name brought the fire back into your chest, the pain that ran through your body returning with enough force to have you shrinking in on yourself. You only knew Anakin as a friend; had seen him one last time when he entered the Jedi Temple before you managed to escape and drag a few younglings with you. But Obi-Wan knew him like a brother. They were closer than you could have even imagined and while you sat there fighting back the pain—he’d already gone numb because of it.
There was speculation that he died on Mustafar. That Obi-Wan had delivered the final blow—put what once was his apprentice out of the agonizing misery he left him in. But you now knew otherwise. After all the whispers of sightings grew—claims that they’d seen the once heroic Anakin Skywalker destroying planets, killing innocent people—reached your ears. Until you had no choice but to let him in—find him through the one final connection you still had yet to cut off.
“I know where he is,” you muttered, staring at the light dusting of sunlight that covered the floor.
Obi-Wan turned quickly towards you. “What?” You nodded, tracing the cave’s entrance with your eyes. “Where?”
“Right where you left him,” you breathed. “I suppose Palpatine thought he was being funny by remaining on Mustafar.”
“He’s—” Obi-Wan let out a breath, looking down at his hands. You felt grief flicker through the Force—dark and muted. A stark contrast to his usual cerulean blue. “Did you see him?”
“That’s the awful part Obi-Wan,” you said, the tears streaming freely down your face. Or perhaps you hadn’t stopped crying in the first place. You could no longer tell. “He called to me
like you did, placing memories in my head of our past together. And—then I saw his face and his—his eyes are
” Trailing off you wiped roughly at your cheeks. “He’s no longer Anakin.”
“He called to you,” Obi-Wan murmured.
At first when the dreams started, you couldn’t tell if you were finally losing it or if your mind truly held a twisted sense of humor. Playing back every happy memory you shared with Anakin. Every daring adventure you both took together and more often than you would have liked, the kiss you shared in the middle of Tatooine—the night his mother died. It was a past you wished to forget and yet it was seemingly forced upon you night after night.
“Why?” You shut your eyes, once again seeing his yellow eyes flash in your mind. “What does he want with me?”
Obi-Wan stood, turning his back to give you a chance to dress yourself. “He may not even realize he’s calling out to you.”
Shoving your tunic back on, you tied it around your waist, your boots going on next. With the heat that spread around Tatooine you regretted showing up in the black clothing you wore, but they were all you owned. The black cloak you’d been wrapped in reminded you of the man you tried so hard to forget about. After all, it was his to begin with.
One freezing night on Ilum—a mission to get him a new kyber crystal after he destroyed his lightsaber—led to him handing over his cloak. In a foolish turn of events, you forgot yours on the ship and Anakin didn’t want to return back to Obi-Wan with you half frozen to death. You could recall the way he’d wrapped it around the both of you, his arms tight on your waist as you hid in the caverns of the planet. What you thought would be simply another mission, wound up being far more than you expected.
You realized the depth of your love for him in the perils of a planet that would end you without mercy. The irony wasn’t lost to you. Trapped in a place that felt like your fury of emotions—the danger of what you harbored like a fugitive.
Sure, you’d shared your fair share of emotions with him, kissing here and there, but nothing progressed further than that. His heart had always belonged to another. And you accepted it without question.
“He’s dreaming,” you whispered, picking up your lightsaber and clipping it to your belt.
“His mind may not yet be settled completely in the dark side of the Force. It would betray him in dreams.”
“But why me? Why not you?” They held a closer bond and Anakin would surely call for his former master before he called for the girl he once entertained the idea of feelings with.
“You represent a time in his life when he was happy.”
“So do you. So why does he—”
“I left him half alive on Mustafar. Padme is dead,” Obi-Wan stated monotonically as if he were reading it from a book. “His mind wouldn’t turn to memories of a woman he could no longer reach. If anything that would only push him further into the dark side.”
You sighed, the pain in your head now spreading down to your neck. “Unless he’s trying to figure out where his children are.”
“No, he doesn’t know they’re alive.”
Letting out a breath, you tried to focus on the small inkling of light that came through the Force. Your last attachment to it suddenly become your life line every night you fell asleep; the pain of reliving your past was so grueling it became torture in its own way. You felt the familiar press of Obi-Wan’s energy against the back of your mind as he gently asked for permission to see what you saw. To relive the memories with you.
“You won’t like what you find in there,” you muttered, slipping on the cloak that somehow still carried fragments of Anakin in the fabric.
“Perhaps not, but nonetheless Bandit.” Flinching at the nickname bestowed upon you by Anakin himself, you relented and allowed your walls to collapse to the ground beneath you.
None of it mattered anymore. Not the love you felt for him or the anguish you endured when he fell for someone else, because he wasn’t Anakin anymore. He merely wore the face of a man you thought you knew once upon a time—a memory that refused to die.
“Just remain still,” Obi-Wan said, watching as you returned back to where you were sitting, your legs crossed and eyes falling shut. “This won’t hurt.”
You both knew it was a lie, but you didn’t care much at that point. He’d already delved past your walls and was now digging through your memories, yanking up each one that Anakin had placed there. Inhaling sharply you dug your nails into your clothed thighs as he pulled up one that proved you and Anakin both went against the Jedi Code at least once in your life.
Once again his laughter filled your mind, splintering your heart in two.
“Tell me Bandit,” Anakin leapt over a rock in the middle of a river, his boots splashing water everywhere. “Why didn’t you want to come here?”
You sighed, picking up a stone and tossing it—watching with satisfaction as it floated in the air for a second. Courtesy of Anakin attempting to show off his powers.
You were sent to Kashyyyk as a part of the Jedi's diplomatic training for padawan, but halfway through Master Yoda told the both of you to stand guard near the camps. Which led to Anakin and you residing in the middle of a river, watching as birds flew overhead. The sounds of the forest around you breathed life into your lungs.
“I can’t help it if my master thinks I need diplomatic training,” you replied, emphasizing the word diplomatic with a roll of your eyes.
“Every Jedi needs it.” He tossed a pebble your way, watching you focus to float it in mid-air, copying him. “Or at least that’s what Obi-Wan tells me.”
“And what do you think?”
He shrugged. “I think that diplomatic training helps us make a difference in the galaxy. We’re meant to be peacemakers right?”
“I guess
” Shifting, you turned to see another bird fly overhead, making a shrill sound you’d never heard before. “But what’s the point of being a peacemaker when so many think of the Jedi as soldiers?”
“That’s where the training comes in handy,” he said, a grin spreading across his lips.
“Then tell me Skywalker, what makes you such an expert in the diplomatic areas of life?”
He tossed another pebble, laughing when it hit your shoulder. “Sometimes you have to make negotiations as a Jedi.” He jumped to shore, dropping another stone to the collection he’d been steadily building since you found the river.
“Ah yes but not all of them are peaceful,” you called out, following him and landing on another closer rock.”
“Obi-Wan likes to call them
aggressive negotiations.”
“Let me guess
 That means negotiations—”
“With a lightsaber,” he finished for you—smiling.
You fell into laughter at that, throwing your head back as a lovely ache spread through your stomach. Only for it to quickly divert into a yelp at the feeling of your foot slipping on the rock. Losing your balance, you quickly tried to right yourself, but knew there wouldn’t be a way to fix it in time. So you gave into the fall. The pain would last for a moment, but Anakin’s hand grasping onto your wrist steadied your movements. He brought you back to a standing position. Where you promptly fell against his chest.
“Are you okay?” he asked, hands cupping your cheeks to tilt your head back.
Nodding, you felt your throat dry up once you realized exactly how close he stood to you. It wasn’t right to feel the sharp tug in your heart at the sight of his blue eyes which bored into yours—the color nearly putting the river itself to shame. You shouldn’t hold these feelings for a fellow padawan—you knew the rules inside and out, and yet
he still hadn’t let go of your face. His thumbs rubbed gently at your cheeks, a faint smile playing on his lips as he saw your own part slightly.
“What would you call this?” you inquired breathlessly, hands pressing against his chest and feeling his heartbeat beneath them.
Anakin breathed out a puff of laughter—the warmth of it washing across your cheek as he moved even closer. “A polite conclusion.”
Before you could smile, he dipped down, pressing his lips against yours and effectively ceasing your words. You’d always wondered if he would ever kiss you a second time after what happened on Tatooine. Neither of you spoke of it again after he pulled away and left you standing there, but you knew something had shifted between the both of you. Just like it did now. Sliding your hands up until your arms wrapped around his neck, you tried to keep yourself balanced as he once again tore the ground up from underneath you.
It was him pulling you closer that did you in. His lips were soft—you always knew they would be—and it took everything in you not to ask for more than just this. The warmth of his tongue pressing against your bottom lip jerked you out of your reverie, causing you to practically tear yourself away from him. His arms only tightened around your waist, lips more insistent as he coaxed you once more into a kiss that shouldn’t have happened.
You opened your mouth, melting into his hold as his tongue pressed against yours and felt the steady thrum of your heart speed up exponentially. Until you were sure it would burst out of your chest.
“Beautiful,” he murmured—pressing a kiss to your jaw.
“They could find us,” you said, fighting against the haze he put you in. “They could—”
“I don’t care.”
Three words shouldn’t have made you submit so easily, but there you were giving into his kiss yet again. Whimpering into his mouth and kissing him back with enough fervor to throw him off slightly, causing him to stumble back a bit. This shouldn’t happen. It wasn’t right. Jedi weren’t meant to form attachments. Especially not with other Jedi. The heat of his tongue against yours shoved the words right out of your mind, but still something continued to feel off.
It wasn’t
right.
This
didn’t—it didn’t feel
right.
“Enough!” you exclaimed, shoving Obi-Wan out of your mind as you clutched your head, the tears now falling down your face in waves. Heaving in a ragged breath, you tried to piece the walls that enclosed your mind back together, but found you couldn’t.
“I didn’t mean—”
“Just don’t,” you snapped. “Did you find what you were looking for?”
You knew it wasn’t right to turn your anger on Obi-Wan, but there was so much of it that you couldn’t stop it even if you tried. At this point you weren’t sure if the anger truly belonged to you or if it was Anakin’s pouring into you from the Force. Still you struggled to maintain it, breathing deeply as you fought to get back to the light side of the Force.
“Yes,” Obi-Wan said, watching as the inside of your mind waged war on itself. “I know why he’s calling out to you.”
“Why?” you asked, helpless against the mental anguish that you were going through.
“He loves you.”
Scoffing, you struggled to get to your feet. “Don’t be ridiculous Obi-Wan. He never loved me.”
“If you believe that then there’s no hope in saving him.”
Turning, you felt the anger flood your veins, shoving its way to the surface. “Saving him?” you shouted. “There’s no saving him! He murdered the people we cared about. Younglings! He turned himself into what they wanted him to be—what they molded him to be.”
“We’re Jedi. We must keep the peace no matter the cost—”
“And how far will you go to keep this peace? My death? Your death? The death of Luke, of his sister?” Obi-Wan’s eyes narrowed. “Anakin Skywalker is dead. In his place Darth Vader walks the path of the Sith.” You shut your eyes, doing what you could to right your mind. “Saving him was never an option.”
“We have to try.”
“I don’t,” you replied, effectively shutting yourself off from the Force as Obi-Wan attempted to push his way through to you.
“Then what will you do? Keep hiding?”
“Yes!” you cried. “I will keep hiding, because the Jedi Order is gone and everything we stood for, everything that kept the balance
he destroyed. I would rather think him dead than be constantly reminded of his betrayal.”
Obi-Wan stood, his expression exactly the same as when he told you of what transpired that fateful night. “You’re being selfish and that’s not the Jedi way.”
“Fuck you.” The words were spat out harshly in his direction. “I choose to forget all that pain and if that makes me selfish
then so be it. Perhaps you should try it.”
You were being cruel to him—unfair—because the anger inside of you could no longer be contained behind the walls of your mind. Whether it was yours or Anakin’s you could no longer tell, but it hurt either way. It felt as if you were being stabbed repeatedly in the heart with every new memory, dream, and hope that was shoved your way. Obi-Wan’s ideas of saving Anakin were merely fantasy. Yet that didn’t stop you from believing they could be true—that you might be able to save him and stop this madness.
“Do you think I haven’t tried?” His words startled you. “I wish I could forget what I did to leave him there, how I nearly killed him. It haunts me with every dream and every memory—just as it does you Bandit, but I
do not have the luxury of forgetting.”
He was right. You knew it down to the very marrow of your bones that being able to forget was simply a transparent hope you held onto. Eventually it would shatter in your hands, leaving you bleeding in the end, just as he did. Only how could you try and save the man who did so much damage? Who broke your heart over and over again simply to gain the power to save the ones he loved from death.
“He’ll kill me,” you whispered, eyes staring at the now orange sky that peeked through the entrance of the cave.
“How do you know?”
Scoffing, you glanced at Obi-Wan. “I just do. Even if he did love me, love is a weakness to Sith.”
“Yes. You’re right.” He stepped closer, his palm falling to your shoulder and grasping it softly. “But a weakness in Anakin’s case could be just what’s needed to save him.”
You wanted to deny his words, to pretend you could simply remain as you were. A fugitive in a galaxy that was under siege—a galaxy that could no longer be saved. But the familiar feeling that pulled at the back of your mind rose up—making space in the hollow space of your chest that once housed your heart. The need to help. To bring peace once more and show that the Jedi of old weren’t gone entirely.
“I don’t know if I can face him,” you whispered, staring at the lines of your palm in the hopes that they would make his eyes vanish from your mind. That you wouldn’t have to live with this suffering.
“We all have to face him eventually,” Obi-Wan admitted.
You knew what he meant; how the feelings waged a war in his own mind too. He was just as terrified to finally see the man he once knew, to witness what Anakin had become, what the dark side turned him into. The fear still lingered in his mind, overtaking everything he knew like a plague. There was never any other alternative than this. The second Anakin turned, the both of you were left with nothing else to do except scatter amidst the galaxy.
It was a grief that weighed heavy on your shoulders.
A loss you’d never come back from.
“There’s nothing we can do to help him.” As much as Obi-Wan wanted to see otherwise, you knew that to be the truth. Anakin was beyond helping, but even still you found yourself unable to let go of the hope. That constant echo of what once was now resurfacing the longer you tried to fight against this.
You were a keeper of the peace. A protector of those who couldn’t protect themselves.
You were everything Anakin turned his back on and somehow in a twisted way
it might just be what could bring him back.
Obi-Wan watched as you fought with yourself. Your mind was dark and filled with turmoil, but then he saw it. The small glimmer of something bright reflecting back at him. That once evergreen hue flickering to life again—matching the light of the weapon you once wielded with pride. He watched as the Jedi you once were—the master you came to be—bloom before his very eyes. Obi-Wan try as he might would not be the one to bring Anakin back from the dark side. Even you might not succeed in this task, but he could see the determination in your eyes, the power that filled your stance.
In the depths of your memories he saw the truth. The reason why he urged you to go.
You would die for Anakin.
Just as he would have died for you.
It was a bond stronger than any he’d witnessed before and he could see that you knew it as well.
“I’ll need a ship,” you said, finality echoing in your tone—eyes sharp and clear.
He grinned, reached for his cloak and the small pack of credits. “I’m sure there’s something to be found.”

“Are you sure you’re doing that right?” Rex asked,
“You know this is kind of my thing, right?” Hunter said exasperatedly. He was crouched, close to the ground, rolling dirt over his fingers. His helmet, or the replacement helmet he had been given by Echo, sat next to him on the ground. An unfamiliar face staring up at him.
Hunter understood where Rex was coming from. They had been at this for more rotations than he could count. He couldn’t even remember the name of the small, jungle like moon they found themselves on, but they seemed to be going in circles, and it wasn’t because of Hunter’s tracking skills. The muscles in his calves were screaming. Sweat dripped down his back and bandana was soaked through.
“Did you ever think that maybe this Jedi doesn’t want to be found and that’s why we’re having such a hard time.”
“I did.” He said smugly, clapping Hunter on the shoulder, “that’s why I brought the best,”
Hunter signed and got closer to the ground. They were close, he could sense it.
Suddenly he stood up, “Rex, move!” he shouted, shoving the captain out of the way just as the glowing blade of an emerald lightsaber fell to the ground where he had been moments before.
Hunter fell back onto the attack stance, blaster pulled and aiming in front of him. The stranger wore a black cloak, only his chin visible underneath.
“Well, well, well,” he said in a relaxed kind of way, “Captain Rex. I heard you were dead”
“Likewise, Master Vos,” Rex said cooly.
Both men relaxed their stance. Quinlan Vos lowered his hood, a cocky smile on his lips. His black hair hung past his shoulders, the yellow markings on his face seemed to glow in the green light of the lightsaber.
The hum on Vos’ laser sword still hung in the air. Hunter hadn’t lowered his weapon but had loosened his grip. He knew of Vos by reputation. But these were difficult times and given his last experience with a force user, he had no intention of letting his guard down.
“And who’s this?” Vos nodded at Hunter, “your tracker, I’m assuming?”
“That’s right, this is Hunter,”
Vos shut off his lightsaber with a snap hiss and stepped forward. He reached his hand out to shake Hunter’s, “not many people can track me. I’m impressed.” Hunter nodded but didn’t respond to the outstretched hand. He still wasn’t sure if they were safe yet or not.
“I don’t need to worry about you both trying to blast me, do I?” Vos asked with an amused expression, as if he’d like to see them try.
“We’re not working for the Empire.” Rex said simply, and that seemed to assuage any fears in Vos.
“So, what can I do for you, Captain” he asked, hooking his lightsaber to his belt and turning his back on them, walking through the thicket of trees, bushes and twigs crunching with every step.
Rex looked at Hunter, shrugged and followed.
“We rescued a number of force sensitive children from the Empire. Are working to find their families, have found some but we think they’re being watched. We can’t return the kids to have them taken again. A friend suggested we try and find you. That you had a network that might be able to help.”
“A friend?” Vos asked, eyebrow raised.
“Fulcrum,” Rex responded quietly.
Hunter was only half listening to the conversation. There was something lingering at the edge of his senses that he couldn’t place. He could hear something in the tops of the trees. It was moving methodically, not like an animal. His eyes searched the dense canopy. The rustling was following them.
“We’ve got company” Hunter said quietly.
“Don’t worry about it,” Vos said with a shrug.
Hunter looked at Rex who just nodded and continued to follow the Jedi deeper into the forest. Hunter rested his hand on his blaster, held his virboknife and continued to trek.
It was some time before they reached a small cave like structure in a small clearing. A circular opening looked like it had been cut directly into the rock, Hunter assumed with the lightsaber hanging from Vos’ waist. He hated to think how long that had taken.
Rex settled on a large tree stump that lay horizontally on the ground. He sighed as he took off his helmet, wiping the sweat from his face. Hunter wasn’t ready to sit. He was still unsettled. Whatever was following them was still lingering at the edge of his senses. It was oddly familiar.
Vos disappeared into the cave and came back without his cape and carrying a tray with a grey liquid in a bottle. “Figured we could all use a drink” he said.
There were four cups. Hunter raised his eyebrow at Rex. He had taken the cup he was handed but Hunter noticed he hadn’t taken a sip yet. The captain knew something was off too.
Hunter slowly turned around on the spot, looking out into the deep forest, through the trees. A gentle scent wafted over the clearing, flowers, ash and
death?
Hunter spun around; blaster raised to the tree line. He knew that scent.
“Have you come for round two?” a tall and slim figure emerged, the grey markings tracing down the side of her mouth, giving her a permanent scowl. He hair was longer now, chin length and cut in a slant as sharp as the side of a blade.
“Ventress?” Rex said, blaster up, eyes darting from Hunter and Vos.
“How’s Omega?,” Ventress asked, casually walking through the clearing and taking the seat next to Vos. Any closer and she would have been sitting on his lap.
Hunter didn’t answer, lower his weapon, or blink. He had turned on his heel to follow her as she walked.
“Another one of your acquaintances, my dear?” Vos asked her sweetly, pouring her a cup of the cloudy liquid. “Is there anyone you don’t know?”
“What can I say, I get around,” she replied with a smirk. She crossed her left leg over her right and knocked back the drink in one go.
Hunter was still scowling and wondering what Rex had gotten him into. He didn’t know Rex’s contact and who had put him on the path to Vos and Ventress, but he couldn’t help but wish he were back on Pabu with his squad. He, Crosshair, and Wrecker had been no match for Ventress the last time. He and Rex wouldn’t stand a chance against both her and Vos.
“Easy fellas,” Vos said, standing with his hands up as though approaching a wild animal. “She is no longer a Sith.”
“Something I believe I shared with you on your island,” Ventress added to Hunter.
“We didn’t get a great impression of which side you were on,”
“You’re still beathing, aren’t you?” Ventress replied, tucking her silver hair behind her ear.
Hunter hesitated but lowered his blaster. He watched out of the corner of his eye and Rex followed suit. They weren’t going to get anywhere with open hostility. The sooner they got this over with, the sooner the kids could get back to their families, and the sooner he could get back to his.
Rex cleared his throat, seemingly trying to get things back on track. “We’re looking for help relocating
”
“Force sensitive children. Yes, I heard” Ventress said. She looked at Hunter with a smile on her lips, “are you collecting them?”
Hunter scowled but didn’t respond. She was trying to get under his skin. It was working.
“Have the children been tested? Have their abilities been confirmed?”
“They were being kept at a secret facility run by an Imperial scientist working directly for the emperor. They wouldn’t have kept them if they weren’t” Hunter replied, bristling a little. He didn’t want the kids to have to go through anything else, especially Ventress’ ‘tests’.
“A secret facility?” Ventress looked at Vos who simply nodded. He seemed more than happy for her to take the lead. “And how did you hear about it?”
Hunter didn’t respond, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Ah
Omega. She was taken I’m assuming?”
Hunter felt a tightness in his check and a catch in his throat but kept his face blank. He didn’t want to think about the time she was taken from him. The many times she was taken. He fought the immediate need to check in with his squad on Pabu, making sure she was still there.
She was safe, she was fine. He repeated it again and again in his head until it took hold.
“So, what happened to the facility” Vos interjected
Hunter shrugged, “partially destroyed,”
“And the scientist?” Ventress asked.
A cloud fell over Hunter’s eyes. “He died.” He said calmly.
***
Hunter sat by the fire. Watching the embers spark and float into the deep forest night. He and Rex hadn’t had time to return to their base before nightfall. The woods weren’t safe to navigate in the dark, although Hunter had been prepared to take the risk.
Vos and Ventress did plan to help them. Rex’s contact had been right about that. Their small network was growing exponentially but it would still take time to locate a safe space for Jax and Sammi.  The kids had been in contact with their families, something Hunter was pleased about, but it hadn’t been safe enough to reunite them yet. He knew how painful that must be for their parents. They were willing to help Rex and Echo locate the families of Eva and Behrn, if possible.
Hunter heard the crack of a tree branch behind him, but didn’t stir. Rex sat down on the log opposite him and smiled.
“Need an extra set of eyes out here?” he asked
“Hm, not really,” Hunter replied, his eyes not leaving the fire, “but you’re welcome to stay.”
“I appreciate you doing this, Hunter. I know this is not where you want to be,”
“Happy to help, Rex. You know that.”
“I do,” Rex said, scratching at the stubble on his chin, “I hate to think the chaos your squad is getting into,” Rex chuckled.
Hunter smiled. He had been trying not to think about it. “I’m sure Crosshair’s keeping them in line,” he said. Rex, raised an eyebrow. “Okay, maybe not Cross. Omega then. If she’s following the rules herself that is.”
He knew she wouldn’t be. That kid had never heard an order and followed it.  He smiled at the thought of Omega’s big brown eyes and floppy blonde hair.
“This work you and Echo are doing. When’s it going to be enough, Rex? You can’t do this forever. There’s only so much time before your luck will run out. Trust me,”
“We’re in it for the long run,” Rex said with a confident smile and Hunter couldn’t help but think back to their first missions together, his unwavering belief and trust that he was on the right track. He admired his friend but feared for him too. If Rex was an optimist, then Hunter was a realist. This was a fight that was not easily won.
For so much of their lives, their decisions, had been made for them. Hunter didn’t know how any clone could want anything other than peace after the madness and misery of war.
“You think we can trust them?” Hunter asked, nodding to the cave where Ventress and Vos had retreated to.
Rex looked pensive for a moment, like a memory flashed behind his eyes. “Not all Jedi are trustworthy, I’ll give you that. I trust Vos, I have no evidence not to but
 Ventress
she’s something different. From the story of your encounter with her and some other things I’ve heard, I like to believe she’s changed
”
“We can’t trust these kids to just anyone.” Hunter said, adamantly. “We can’t let the empire get hold of them again. Who knows what they’d do to them this time.”
“I won’t let that happen,” Rex said firmly. “How are they doing on the Island, anyway?”
Hunter smiled, a wide, serene smile that he didn’t think he was capable of anywhere but Pabu. “Good. Adapting. Omega meditates with them most days. The oldest go to school. They’re being looked after by two neighboring families so we can keep an eye on them. Baryn is walking now although things tend to start flying when he loses his temper. There’s the occasional Jedi stuff with the others too but we have been able to keep it quiet. Contained.”
Rex smiled. “Fatherhood suits you,”
Hunter felt his cheeks get hot and brushed the comment off, “Well, someone’s got to look after them.”
“You did that for Omega too, you know. Do you ever think where she’d be if you hadn’t taken her with you?”
Hunter shook his head, but he had thought about it. She wouldn’t have been chased by bounty hunters, shot at, kidnapped and otherwise threatened. But she could have died on Kamino, or been sent to Tantis earlier.  It didn’t really matter, Hunter thought. She was meant to come with them. She was their family before they even knew it. She chose him before he had an opportunity to choose her. It was a choice he would make every single time.
“Why don’t you get some rest, Rex.” He said finally. “I’ll keep watch. We’ll switch in a few.”
Rex nodded and stepped closer to the treeline, put on his helmet and sat against a tree.
The creatures of this moon were making a strange trilling noise in the trees. The air smelled like wet dirt. The scent had been stuck in his nose for days. He longed for the sweet, salty air of Pabu and the dry heat instead of this wet, cloying environment.
Hunter pulled out his knife and started twirling it between his fingers. There was a time, as a cadet that his fingers would be covered in bandages, as he tried tricks with the blade. These days it was an extension of his hand. It was intuitive, a mindless activity.
It wasn’t long before Hunter sensed her behind him. Her footsteps wouldn’t have been detectable to anyone else, that’s the nature of the Jedi or Sith or whatever she was these days. But Hunter knew, he heard as soon as she stood up in the cave.
She stepped lightly over the log and sat down next to him, a little too close for comfort. Once again, she was trying to make him uncomfortable, and once again he hated that she was succeeding. Her angular face turned towards him. “How is Omega?”, she asked, her drawling voice quieter than usual.
Hunter raised an eyebrow, “curiosity got the best of you?” he asked, turning towards her and managing to put a little space between them at the same time.
“I suppose you could call it that,” she replied, running her long fingers through her chin length hair.
“Well, she hasn’t made anything levitate or explode like some of the other force sensitives I’ve met. Does than satisfy you?”
Ventress looked into the fire, deep in thought. Hunter frowned, watching as the orange flames danced in front of her face, making her eyes look like they were glowing.
“She is
unusual
”
“She’s unique,” Hunter corrected.
Ventress turned to him, eyes narrowed her eyes. “She’s not force sensitive. Why was the empire after her?”
“Why do you care?”
“Call it professional curiosity,” she said sarcastically.
“I couldn’t tell you if I wanted to. I don’t know.” Hunter said, lying. He knew Jedi should be able to sense when they were being deceived, he’d seen it in action during the war, but Ventress didn’t press, and he was thankful for it.
They sat in silence for a while. Listening to the strange calls of the creatures in the trees. Hearing the rustling of larger animals in the woods.
Ventress seemed to be comfortable with the silence, but Hunter found it intrusive, much like her presence. He didn’t know why she was here or what she wanted.
“You smell like death,” he said, into the night.
“I bet you’re really popular with the ladies,” she retorted.
Hunter rolled his eyes. It had been bothering him since she had appeared. He had been too fraught when they last met to notice but it was so obvious now.  There was something in the back of his senses, he couldn’t describe it, or see it, but it was there.
“Is it true you can see things through the force?”
Her eyes narrowed, “yes,”
“Like people?”
“All living things are connected through the force. But yes, I can see them, in my mind’s eye”
“Even dead people?” Hunter asked slowly, looking down at the knife he had been casually twirling his hands as he did so.
Ventress sat up straighter and shifted in her seat. This clearly wasn’t where she thought the conversation was going to go when she came out here.
“Yes
occasionally force sensitives can see, hear and even talk to the dead.” She paused; lips pursed as though holding in a question that didn’t want to be contained. “Why are you asking these things?”
Hunter ran his hand through his hair, “it doesn’t matter,” he said, suddenly feeling foolish. He wasn’t ready to talk about this. Why would he bring it up with this woman of all people? He hadn’t even brought this up to his family. Was that why he had been so interested in leaving Pabu? Was the stress of keeping this secret from them easier at a distance?
Ventress was staring at him intently, unwilling to let her question go. “Should I have tested you instead of Omega?”
Hunter scoffed, “I’m no Jedi,” he said, amusement in his voice.
Ventress narrowed her eyes at him again. “Stand up,” she barked, snatching the blade out of his hands. “Over there,” she gestured a few meters away. Normally, a former Sith assassin stealing his knife would set off alarm bells, but Hunter didn’t feel threatened. Without thinking he followed her directions.
“Close your eyes,” she said in the same tone, “I’m going to throw your knife. Try and catch it”
“I am not force sensitive,” he said exacerbated, “The Kaminoan’s enhanced my senses.”
“And what do you think force sensitivity is?” she asked, dryly. “Now close your eyes,”
Hunter huffed. He thought of the look on Crosshair’s face when he told him he willingly let Ventress throw a knife at him, smiled to himself and closed his eyes.
He felt his senses start to tingle, as though they were reaching out to try and find the knife. He heard Ventress pull the blade back to her ear.  As she released the knife it made a schwing sound though the air. He heard it as if came closer, second by second until his hand shot out, involuntarily, and the hilt fell into his palm.
Ventress crossed her arms looking smug, but Hunter just shook his head.
“I’ve been catching knives and everything else by brothers could throw at me since I was a cadet. This doesn’t mean anything,”
“It means I should test you further”
“Ventress,” it was the first time he had used her name, in the same tone he would use Crosshair’s or Phee’s, and it took him aback. He cleared his throat and started again, “I was just asking because
”
“You can sense dead people.”
“Just the one, my brother. But yes,”
“Well, technically two. You sensed me as well, remember? There were three people in this galaxy who knew I died. There is no way you would have known, unless you sensed it. You have no way of knowing how the Kaminoans enhanced your particular skills. They had access to Jedi. Perhaps you were supposed to be force sensitive.”
“But I’m not.”
“That remains to be seen. I can’t sense your brother in the force right now. Perhaps he’s not around but I can sense you. You look different in the force than your friend,” she nodded to Rex, sleeping slumped against a tree. How he was sleeping through this conversation Hunter didn’t know. “All clones are unique in the force, but even Omega didn’t look like this. Perhaps you find these force sensitive children, protect them, because you can sense them through the force.”
“Does it matter? It just matters that they’re safe,” He replied. He had thousands of thoughts jumping through his mind. He was suddenly overwhelmingly tired. He wished Rex would wake up and Ventress would leave.
Ventress shrugged, “it doesn’t matter to me, beyond mild curiosity. But the force works in mysterious ways, and it sent you here for a reason, perhaps it was to discover this information.”
Her words hung in the air. Hunter didn’t know how to respond. Had no way to respond. He was different by design; they all were, but could it be possible? Did he want it to be possible? He needed to talk to Tech, ask him what he thought. But that was easier said than done. The silence hung there.
He hastily changed the subject. “This path you’ve created. How safe is it?”
“As safe as anything now days.” She replied cooly. She paused and looked intently at his face, as though trying to read his mind.
“So, not safe at all,” he said, more to himself than her.
“Your children will be protected by Quinlan and myself. It doesn’t get much safer than that,”
“They’re not my children,” he insisted. Although they might as well be.
“You could help, you know. Your skills would be useful.  I could continue to test you. Perhaps between the Quinlan and I, we could give you some answers.”
Hunter raised an eyebrow. “I’m retired,”
“And I’m dead, yet here we are. Think of all those children and survivors who need help, just like Omega. You could do a lot of good.”
“I’ve got my own family to look after.”
“Then why are you here?” she asked pointedly.
Hunter paused. The light of fire was dimming now, the embers fading from bright red and orange to cool yellow amid the tangle of twigs and leaves. He had thought of little else but returning to Pabu during his time with Rex, usually in the quiet moments. But when on the island he struggled to find purpose. When you have been going night and day since you were born, slowing down was a strange sensation. But the longer he was away, the more he thought it was something he could learn to be satisfied with.
“Hmm.” Ventress cooed “well, if Island life ever gets too dull, I’m sure you can track us down,”
She stood up and sauntered back to the cave. Hunter sat bemused for a moment, staring out into the darkness of the forest. He really needed to get back home.
***
Hunter was at the ramp before the ship had even landed. The heat of Pabu hit him as soon as the ramp started to lower. The sweet, ubiquitous scent of blossom from the weeping maya tree, cooking smells from the market and salty air of the surrounding sea signaled that he was finally home.
Omega ran at him as soon as he hit the stone top of Pabu. He kneeled to hug her and then stood so her short legs dangled. She giggled and hugged his neck tighter, burying her cheek into chest. She had grown since he had left. Her hair was longer down her back, her bangs stretched to fit tightly into the braid.
“Huntah, we missed you,” she said with a beaming smile.
His brothers, Crosshair and Wrecker both came forward. Wrecker giving him his usual, spine crushing hug and Crosshair, a slap on the shoulder.
“Managed to stay alive then?” Crosshair said with a smirk.
“Yeah, despite Ventress’ best efforts,” Omega, Crosshair and Wrecker exchanged confused looked and exploded with questions at once.
“We can talk about it when we get home,” Hunter said with a smile.
They walked back to their little house. After some time in the refresher, Hunter, clean for what felt like the first time since he left, joined his family at the table on the patio.
Wrecker had created a feast. The table heaved under plates of fish, cooked meat from the market, fruits and vegetables and a sweet dessert that Omega had decorated with flowers.
“So, was the mission a success?” Wrecker asked as Hunter took the seat opposite.
“Yeah, you could say that. We found the target. Two for the price of one it turns out. They’re going to help the kids find their families find a safe place
”
“And where does Ventress fit in,” Crosshair asked cooly “I knew I should have gone with you,”
“She and Vos are an item. They may have been together before we met her last,”
“And why are you alive despite her best efforts?” Crosshair continued.
Hunter knew his brother wouldn’t let that comment go. He paused and took a sip of his wine. The liquid was sweet with a bitter, rich aftertaste. “ I let her throw my knife at me while my eyes were closed,”
“YOU DID WHAT?” Crosshair, Wrecker and Omega all shouted in unison. Batcher started underneath the table at the noise, shook head so her collar tinkled and laid back down on the warm stone patio.
Hunter chuckled and gazed out over Pabu’s harbor. He felt a familiar prickling at the edge of his senses and closed his eyes to see Tech in his mind’s eye.
He smiled at his fallen brother.  He supposed now as was good a time as any. He nodded to the empty chair they always kept for him at the family table, and sensed Tech slide into it. There was a slight scraping noise on the stone, but he was the only one to notice. Omega, Crosshair and Wrecker looked at him quizzically.
Hunter sighed, put down his glass and faced his family. “I have a lot to tell you.”

Tumblr media
Omg I can’t believe I am actually posting her. Pls enjoy my precious oc and her wardrobe
Tumblr media
Below you can find all the head canons I wrote so far about her, the relationship she has with her squad and with the other significant captains/lieutenants of the Gotei 13
Mira Komamura
General head canons
‌originally from the 4th squad ( vet section) on her own request as she doesn't really like to throw hands.
was assigned to captain Komamura strict medical crew when almost no one knew about his real appearance; specifically, she was tasked with providing emotional support for Sajin's social anxiety.
‌”Captain!? How did you dare to hide that lovely snoot for such a long time?! "
yes, she was basically his emotional support puppy.
as it happens very often, Sajin grew fond for his emotional support puppy and decided to adopt her ( literally) as his brand new sister, then insisted to move her to the 7th.
western origins ( abuses this đŸ€ŒđŸŒ while talking ).
fav animal: humpback whale.
fav food: eats almost everything, watch your hands. Really, this girl is a few snacks away from being your best friend. But if she had to pick one, it'll probably be french fries, no dressing, just salt.
‌fav colour : cold hues in general, blue/green/ purple.
likes stars. Like a whole lot. You give her something with stars on, she's gonna love it. She hoards things with stars on it. She doodles them on everything at hand. When friends are sad, she scribbles a star on the palm of their hand.
‌" you're now under the sign of the good vibes star. You can now enjoy the rest of your day. You're welcome."
now imagine her doing this on Captain Zaraki's hand and Iba's cold sweats thinking how to tell the poor Sajin about his adopted sister's premature departure.
the good vibes star must work thou, cause Kenpachi just patted her head like she was a puppy and walked away. Iba thanked whatever god was listening at that moment.
sassy AF
sarcasm native speaker.
cracks 2.000.000 dirty jokes in between three regular words.
must focus not to drop inconvenient comments during each Captains/ lieutenant meetings.
looks like a black cat personality at the beginning.
turns into a weird dancing parrot when comfortable around someone.
has a ridiculous attention span.
world of the living connoisseur ( western side). Spent several decades studying it by living among living people.
terrible traditional swordsmanship skills.
got Jedi Lightsaber classes on Earth and actually developed a pretty efficient fighting style; ‌Iba is genuinely confused and slightly concerned about that but as long as it works...
likes to sing, not very good at that but still on the average ( usually makes silly dances while singing to underline the lyrics).
pretty skilled belly dancer ( which at some extent she uses in controlling her shikai) but definitely won't dance in public cause she's too shy for that .
very body positive about other people, excessively critic about her own body.
very good painter. She mostly paint with her hands (" advanced kindergarten art skills") but could also use sponges, pieces or paper or rags, leaves, basically everything but a brush;‌most of the times she just likes to make little silly doodles.
then she turns those doodles into stickers and spread them across the seireitei.
Byakuya Kuchiki knows the Shinigami women's association held a secret meeting in his mansion when he finds small stickers with sassy quotes around the house.
take her to the water park; She just loves it.
beach girl
just loves to hang out in the water
‌of course this is the perfect excuse for captain Hirako to make jokes about her liking to be wet
she never denied the statement. đŸ‘đŸŒ
excellent resistence to alcohol. Hard to get drunk.
when that does happen though, she just unleashes all the power or her sass/ sarcasm/ unhinged comments
this usually leads to pretty amusing express stand up comedy shows where she eventually ends up oversharing something she would've preferred to keep for herself
pretends not to remember anything if the topic is pointed out the day after
About the 7th squad
she was gladly welcomed as lieutenant by almost all the soldiers due to her sincere support towards former Captain Komamura
Those affectionate soldiers appreciate her chill attitude prone to jokes and fun as a good balance to Iba’s serious demeanour
She introduced music during workouts and trainings. Music from the west, of course
Now witness the fierce 7th brigade soldiers casually humming Bad Romance while doing their daily chores.
Since Mira’s office is the coziest and most decorated once, Iba started throwing Shinigami Men’s Association meetings inthere
For Iba’s birthday, Mira decided to gift him a new HQ for his meetings by renovating an old, unused warehouse in the barracks, asking Ikkaku some help to edible and renovate the old furniture
Connections
Sajin Komamura : regardless of his full on canine appearance he is still officially her brother by previous adoption. Mira still takes good care of him, she has the most luxurious dog bed in her office for him to stop by. She also got him one of those speaking buttons board humans give their dogs to communicate.
Tetsuzaemon Iba : is definitely like a dad. All of their interactions have the warm yet bickering feeling of a father/daughter dynamic, including: communication issues, dad being jealous and over protective of his precious daughter when men buzz around, not understanding slangs. Mira signed up for Iba’s fan club to show support to her dad.
Shunsui Kyoraku : calls her Mira-chan and likes to invite her to drink together. He pays great attention to her drunken monologues as they’re usually pretty straightforward and accurate analysis of the current state of the Seireitei. He definitely trusts her guts and intuition in picking up the overall morale of the squads. Mira also signed up for his fan club ‘cause he’s the big boss and deserves support. Nanao Ise firmly oppose this.
Rose Otoribashi: is the only one whom has ever seen Mira dance. They sometime shares music afternoons with Rose playing music and her using it to practice her dance. They have a very respectful and delicate bond revolving on mutual arts appreciation.
Izuru Kira: it took them some time to get along due to Kira being really private person. Now they’re kinda cool about each other and Mira often tries to cheer him up telling him the whole hole in the chest thing is metal AF.
Shinji Hirako: this man bribed Mira in joining his fan club by offering her a bag of weed infused gummy bears. It worked. They operate at the highest level of shenanigans and communicate almost exclusively by flirting. Bombastic side eyes darting across the captain’s council room during meetings when they know the other one would be just about dropping the sassiest sh*t that would cost them the career. Regularly hangs out together both in the Soul Society and on Earth. Part of their flirt jokes revolves around the fact they would gladly date each other (but never actually did that).
Momo Hinamori: was the first to show Mira support when she was promoted to lieutenant. Therefore, Mira loves this girl and brings her gifts, treats and loves spending time together for a tea time. They share a heavy betrayal trauma and do their best to support each other in their healing journey.
Renji & Rukia: if Iba is her dad, Renji is her bro and Rukia is the sister in law you actually like more than your own brother. The three of them have a weekly “world of the living pop culture” themed night to binge watch series and movie marathons. Burping competitions between Mira and Renji are mandatory and Rukia is the judge.
Matsumoto Ranjiku: these two can love and hate each other depending on the mood and the topic. Sometimes they look like besties laughing together and mutually complimenting , ten minutes later they’re fighting over something, usually Matsumoto habit of exploiting men using her beauty.
Kenpachi Zaraki: these two really get along for reasons. Mira actually feels safe around him cause who would ever dare to fuck around close to him? She also thinks he’s illegally hot but never dared to voice that, not she would ever try to approach him with intentions. She just likes to fantasize about that amazing mass of wonder. On Kenpachi’s side, he likes to have a new brat messing around him without being scared, it feels heartwarming and nostalgic, sometimes feeds her the same candies he used to buy for Yachiru. Since Mira’s birthday is right after Kenpachi’s, she usually shows up at the 11th barracks with a cake to share to celebrate both their birthdays.
Ikkaku Madarame: for the better time they’ve been knowing each other, he just passively tolerated her, enjoying her little shows from time to time but never payed too much attention to the new lieutenant of the 7th squad. Then Mira came to ask his help in renovating the warehouse for Iba’s birthday gift and since the process took quite some time, they had the chance to spend time together, getting to know each other during those long crafty nights of recycling furniture. He is now heavily crushing on her and gets a little shaky and mildly flustered when she’s around, with Yumichika largest amusement. Mira has always appreciated her fellow colleague and was glad to have the chance to build up some kind of relationship with him but she’s genuinely confused by his friendly yet shifty and sometimes awkward behaviour towards her (she’s not good in getting the hint).
Yumichika Ayasegawa: oh the tea they spill. They don’t meet very often but when they do the amount of information they share can compete with the finest Seieitei’s intelligence. Sometimes they go shopping together. Yumichika tries his best to create opportunities for Ikkaku to be there when Mira comes over.
If you managed to read this far, thank you 💕
Some captains/ lieutenants are missing to the list but I already have them written, maybe I will add them in some future post.
Definitely expect more drawings about Mira’s adventures. I have more on the making (like about her zampakuto and other stuff.
I hope you enjoyed this little piece of my imagination,
✹comments, reblogs and likes are appreciated ✹

Headcanons for being another displaced Padawan with Cal Kestis
Cal Kestis x jedi!reader
warnings: angst, STAR WARS JEDI SURVIVOR SPOILERS
a/n:
prompt:
Tumblr media
you and cal went way back
like, jedi padawan back
so after the purge, about five years later, you guys reunited by chance. thanks to cere junda, no less
and, god, seeing someone so familiar after trying to get by on your own, someone who knew the feeling of the trajectory of your life being thrown off before you were ready, that wasn’t easy to come by
“you’re here” -cal
“i’m here” -you
“we survived” -cal
“just barely” -you
cere was delighted that the two of you could have lifted each other’s spirits so much, which was very much needed in desperate times, as you two were just given a very important mission by a former jedi master in your order
you and cal kicked some serious ass together, helping one another relearn old lessons your masters had taught during your youth
“i think running across walls was the hardest thing i was ever taught” -you
“it took me forever to get that right! i could only get two steps in before i plummeted to the floor!” -cal
you shared a lot of stories and emotions during travels, in private
and not all of them were positive, but this was the first chance you’d had in five years to face these emotions, to air out your feelings
“do you miss the clones? i was so fond of our battalion, they were always so kind to me” -you
“i think
i think that was the worst part. the people who defended us in battle, gave me pep talks before training, always there, that same face at every turn suddenly behind the blaster that was meant to put me down” -cal
“i miss them” -you
cal and you had your missions together
and separately. you’d be on one planet and he on the other, trying to race the empire and inquisitors to the holocron
“it could happen all over again” -you
“it could be the key to saving the galaxy” -cal
“or we’d be creating a generational tragedy” -you
“so would the empire” -cal
“you’ve got me there” -you
cal gifting you ponchos from his travels (lol)
“any chance you like pink?” -cal
“well
” -you
braving zeffo alone while you knew cal was somewhere far more dangerous, you had a bad feeling about it
but your teachings from the order were always the same, no attachment. mission first, feelings second
no, last
but on cal’s adventure, he found merrin, a nightsister from dathomir
you hadn’t seen any nightsisters since ventress, which did happen to make you feel a bit off
“cal
you sure?” -you
“trust me, y/n. things have changed. merrin is just like us” -cal
“cal told me much about you. another survivor. a pleasure” -merrin
you and merrin grew quite close actually
she was truly spectacular, and swapping stories with her was sort of educational
“wait
the jedi responsible for the nightsister genocide? you said lightsabers, plural? how many?” -you
“four” -merrin
“two green, two blue?” -you
“precisely. how did you know?” -merrin
“hang on, no way—” -cal
“my master killed him shortly before we were split up
when the clones turned” -you
“grevious? really? master kenobi finally got him?” -cal
“who is this ‘grevious?’” -merrin
“general grevious, he was a separatist general—a cyborg. he wasn’t a jedi, he stole lightsabers from his kills. he ordered the attack on your home” -cal
“i’m so sorry, merrin” -you
you three were still healing from many scars, but doing it together was much more achievable than trying alone
it was a wonder you even made it to fortress inquisitorius
you, cal, cere. all three of you fought like hell to save those kids.
now, cal and you, you two had much different perspectives than say, cere or trilla
displaced padawans. little guidance. cal was barely old enough to even be a padawan learner, but times were desperate and the order called upon the youngling to start quite early. you were in a similar boat. it made you two see eye to eye better than most
trilla, a padawan with much more training and insight, one who was failed by the order that she was most loyal to. failed by her own master.
cere, a devout jedi master who failed many people who were counting on her. who lost herself to a side of herself that every jedi is supposed to fight.
and just before any resolution could come of all of you together, the famed and feared darth vader showed himself
and the sinking feeling you felt before he arrived froze you
“what is it, y/n? y/n?” -cere
*ominous breathing sounds*
you shook off the feeling, fleeing instead
cal and you were split up when you swore vader made a point to hold you back
“run cal! get out of here!” -you
“y/n l/n, i was hoping i would see you” -vader “where is obi-wan?!”
“i thought you were dead” -you
“is that what he told you?” -vader
“you’re going to kill me to get back at him? i haven’t seen him since the purge, anakin! i left!” -you
“there is no anakin!” -vader “did you leave, or did he leave you?”
“are you just going to let cal get away?” -you
“he can’t get far” -vader
“my journey is not important to you” -you
“you are like me, y/n. obi-wan failed us. these inquisitors are weak, impressionable, disposable. but i know how you think. i know how he thinks. i give you the opportunity to join me. fight with me.” -vader
“i saw the holotapes, anakin. i saw what you did to the younglings and i will not let you do it again. we are not alike, obi-wan did not fail me. i took a page out of ahsoka’s book, i found my own path. and it is not beside you.” -you
“this is not over, y/n. i trust you’ll find your way out” -vader, force pushing you off a ledge
you did find you way back out and merrin was quick to save you before going back for cal
you were left completely unharmed, as well, which was quite the surprise to everyone else
“what happened back there, y/n?” -cal
“nothing i’d like to relive” -you
cal nodded and let it go, focusing on the holocron floating before you all
your mind kept replaying memories as they discussed what to do with it
memories of anakin’s massacre. vader’s speech. younglings you couldn’t save. luke and leia somewhere across the galaxy. the inquisitors.
“destroy it.” -you
in one quick swipe, cal took his lightsaber to the glowing blue cube. no questions asked
and from there on, it was no longer about the order. you remembered why you left in the first place. the purge, the politics, your master couldn’t contain himself. your troops turned their blasters on you. everything you were taught was bantha fodder. and you were just a padawan
it was now about disassembling. scaring the people in power while giving the little guy some hope.
“this is a much better gig than obi-wan playing by the rules” -you
“from what you told me, him and anakin never played by the rules” -cal
the name made you shudder, but you pushed past it
“well, anakin was known as the rulebreaker. obi-wan always tried to reel him in. but, i’ve noticed a rule or two that master kenobi had bent” -you
“anakin has a padawan too, right?” -cal
“he did. she was also a rule breaker. when she left the order, i almost followed her. last i heard, she went to mandalore with half of the 501st. i, uh—” -you
“right
” -cal
you were still haunted from the encounter on nurr. still hadn’t told cal and it was eating you up inside.
but the fighting made it feel better
dismantling, stealing, helping
and then merrin left. and cere. and greez settled down. and you and cal were just two makeshift jedi knights with your tragic pasts and your need to keep your place in the galaxy
and keep each other close
but not too close
those rules you followed, the one’s obi-wan followed, you threw them out a long time ago. the jedi order was corrupt. you examined each council master postmortem and decided that they were all flawed despite their rank. you hated them for it.
but decided the one teaching you would follow would be to lose hate, a step to the dark side.
you didn’t really even know at this point, what was the difference between right and wrong anymore
cal and you continued fighting. joined up with saw gerrera. never left each other’s sides
which
sparked feelings you’d never really been taught or told how to deal with
only aversion, really. but it wasn’t like you didn’t really talk about it
“i don’t really see the problem with it. look at everything else we do, that’s not exactly the jedi way” -you
“it’s dangerous” -cal
“love is dangerous?” -you
“attachment is” -cal
“i figured you already had attachments. we were all a crew before this” -you
“i let them all go” -cal
“and you’d let me go?” -you
you began constantly questioning these ways and trying to fight for a new future with cal, without pressing too hard
but it was hard to ignore those feelings and harder to constantly be denied by your old life
and it was harder when the new crew always teased you two
“come on, kestis. if you don’t, i will” -gabs
“yeah, just go for it. who’s it hurting?” -bravo
“i’m just not ready to go there” -cal
you were more bothered than you let on
but you always put the mission first
up until your trip back to coruscant
“this is just a reminder of how little it all matters now. there’s no one left.” -you
“that’s why it matters” -cal
the intensity of this mission made it so it was just the two of you again
and maybe that would spark something
but you doubted it

why doesn't shin leave?
that's the question, right? there are secondary ones, of course – why didn't she kill sabine/was she sandbagging their duel/did she intentionally perform a nonfatal stabbing/was she sent there to interact with sabine at all, or just for the map.... but really, my question at the end of ep1 was:
Tumblr media
why is she waiting here at all?
"we've been looking for this," shin says, and that's what, an accusation? conversation-starter? she's here to talk? maybe, okay – except she's actively thieving, so what can she be expecting by sticking around but a fight? so she secures the map and she waits for sabine. to fight her. but the question is still why and in my unqualified opinion i think the answer is found back here:
Tumblr media
"ahsoka tano's former apprentice is on lothal."
what do we know about baylan? he was a jedi, once. he witnessed the purge of his order and adapted to a life of survival – he maintains certain jedi traditions, he passes these traditions to his padawan: the braid, the traditional construction of the lightsaber, if not the crystal inside (standing mystery, though). he is nostalgic but not melancholy, connected perhaps to the more elegant and noble history of the jedi but evidently strongly opposed to assuming that title at present.
what do we know about shin? well...almost nothing. except that when baylan speaks, shin listens. she obeys unquestioningly. when morgan speaks, shin watches baylan. they are close; there is mutual trust, though clearly more dependency on shin's side. and she is likely – though not certainly – born after order 66.
i'm confident answers will be forthcoming about shin's past, but in the meantime, working with the (very!!) little we have, assuming the subtle intricacies of the shot direction and ivanna's acting are all intentional, and with the full disclaimer that im brainrotty for wolfwren......i want to answer my original question.
shin has never seen another apprentice before. beyond baylan and inquisitors (apparently), she has probably never seen another lightsaber-wielder before. and yet – her master, while scorning the label of jedi, is steeped in jedi history. he seems to be training her according to some traditional jedi principles (though...what with the mass-murder and the mercenary work, of course we don't yet know the extent of those principles), and it would follow that he would have imparted the history of the jedi as well.
baylan skoll is not a jedi. but ahsoka tano is. or, was. but the antagonist squad refers to her as a jedi, so from shin's perspective it's not just "ahsoka tano's apprentice" on lothal. she is being told there is a real, live jedi apprentice on lothal.
and the jedi are extinct.
Tumblr media
we're into the rampant speculation part of the meta now, because what is shin thinking in this moment?
there's a green lightsaber before her – a jedi apprentice before her – or at least the former-apprentice-of-a-jedi, but shin is the apprentice-of-a-former-jedi, and at some point the semantics get in the way of the exhilaration. this is probably (again, this whole thing could get disproven in the next episode or something) the first lightsaber battle shin has ever had with someone who might actually kill her. (i assume baylan wouldn't engage in prolicide while sparring.)
this is, i think, shin at her most excited. on the one hand – it's another apprentice! it's another member of an order (her order??) that was supposed to be wiped out! this is proof of concept maybe, that shin isn't so alone! and on the other hand – this is a test, no? like, the first real test of shin's full abilities, assuming she's never dueled before? again, i wish we knew more about her motivations, but it stands to reason a padawan that powerful and devoted would constantly be looking for ways to both prove and improve herself, right?
and then. sabine. sucks.
she's sloppy and weak and doesn't use the force. she's untrained and undisciplined and slow and gets tired too quickly.
Tumblr media
shin starts blocking with one hand. she starts sidestepping sabine's wild swings. there's no way she's is trying to kill her at this point; shin is playing with her food.
i just...think she's disappointed?? like, she was probably expecting so much more from a proper jedi's apprentice, and i think we'd need more information about her to extrapolate what exactly she wants in this scene, but i'd be willing to bet it wasn't this sub-par, former-apprentice bitch-ass fight. (love to sabine but like. she did get her clock cleaned. obviously.)
regardless, i am excited to see how this experience influences the forestfightℱ we know is on the way...and also if sabine, like, feels...anything....about being skewered like a county fair corn dog?? i mean trauma or anger or fear or drive or?? bc we know shin wasn't actually trying to kill her, (this is my official stance and im sticking to it) but sabine sure doesn't!!

Hello there, I just stumbled onto your page and I was wondering if I could request a Darth Maul x female reader with angst and fluff? Like reader is with the jedi order, but she isn't exactly liked because she has darkness in her but Maul likes her.....or if you have an original plot, go for it, I won't complain.
P.S.-I may come back and request something with Iceman or something from Harry Potter!
Tumblr media
Please take me away - Darth Maul x Female!Human!Jedi reader
Hello! Thank you for the request! This idea is perfect for me to write my first Darth Maul Fic! đŸ˜« I’ve always wanted to but never had the courage to do so! Please send any other requests you would like I would love that!
I also loved how you used blue for your writing! It made me read the request in the narrator from the Clone Wars show 😂
I hope you like it!
â€ïžđŸ–€â€ïžđŸ–€
SUMMARY: see request above!
WARNINGS: Reader is mistreated, reader is isolated, name calling, general angst, murder, swearing, stalking undertones, reader crying, insomnia, protective Darth Maul, age gap, nicknames, soft Darth maul, general fluff, running away, Jedi becomes Sith, Kyber crystal bleeding ritual. (TW) Unedited!
The sun was covered by clouds, seeping through the main Padawan training room. A lightsaber defense class was currently in session, with a head count of 12 15-16 year old Padawans. Along with a Master Jedi knight, who was teaching them a new range of skills and techniques.
There was a pair, consisting of a 15 year old boy and an equal aged girl. Her name was (y/n). She was known to be “slightly ahead” for her age. She found it easy to learn new skills. Almost like it was already written in her code.
The lesson started with meditation, to get everyone into the right head space. Moving onto an extensive warm up of the body, to ensure a full range of motion. Then the training began!
Each pair went one at a time, so their Master could watch them clearly without distractions. The majority of the pairs had their turn before (y/n) and her partner got to have theirs.
They got into position, ready to spar. The pair waited in idle anticipation for their Master to give the sign to start. Once hearing a “GO!ïżœïżœïżœ Blue crashed against green. The light crackles of contact, the hum of movement, and the children’s focused grunts were the only thing to be heard. The boy pushed (y/n) against the wall with the force, causing her to get frustrated as she knew she was years ahead of him. The sparing match went on, it looked like watching a dance routine.
The final straw for the young woman was the boys foot making contact with her chest, and shoving her to the ground. With a loud scream she used the force to pull herself up and started violently thrashing her saber against his, leaving him little to no time to strategies. She let out grunts and screams. “I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU”, the words flew from her mouth and echoed in the large room.
The boy had slipped and fell hard on the ground. He was frightened to say the least, his saber was the only thing protecting him from being sliced apart. He called out to their master “HELP ME! SHE IS GOING TO KILL ME!”. With that their Master used the force to retract the girls lightsaber, which lead her to look at him with furious eyes. Before she could make another sound, she was put to sleep.
———
Since that day you never got along with anyone. Some people were wary of you and always tried to avoid you, while others were cruel to you. But one thing both groups had in common, was calling you horrible names. You were bounced around to different Masters, some just gave orders and ignored, some would insult you and make your life a living hell. You suffered in more ways than one. You were always stressed, never sleeping well, constantly being tired leading to you being an anxious woman. The topic of being kicked out was a reoccurring conversation, which lead to anxiety attacks. You could never catch a break mentally.
Walking through the halls of the order felt like being an easy target. You constantly heard whispers and people would shout at you. “Freak”, “Sith spy”, “future murderer”, “red eyes”, “piece of shit”, “waste of space”, “I bet your parents were bad people, and wanted nothing to do with a child like you!” And so much more.
Their were many missions were you would be called a few names, and insults. But one mission stuck out from the rest. You were told to stay back after the night watch debrief, which you knew wasn’t to praise you on your efforts.
You were 18 at the time, and 2 years from knighthood. The leading Jedi knight who gave the debrief, got right up into your face and verbal attacked you. The sun was setting behind him, making the hood he was wearing cast a shadow over his eyes. He was intimidating both in general and in this moment.
“(Y/n), you worthless waste of resources. If you make even one mistake or fault
I will get you kicked out. Am I fucking understood?” He gritted out with his teeth. You nodded with a “yes Master”, he shoved your shoulder and walked off. Your whole body shrunk into itself as you whispered “don’t cry” repeatedly.
———
As you were gathering yourself, a certain Dathomirian Zabrak was watching on. He was there to seek out information on the Jedi. Amber eyes were fixated upon their first glance at you, and his body froze. Seeing your Master lash out at you stopped him in his tracks. He heard what he needed to, ready to move on when he heard your name being called. The sound alone stopped him. When the senior Jedi threatened you, his body tensed. He didn’t know why, but it was like a hidden instinct had kicked in.
He saw you take a deep breath, ground yourself and walk off to your night watch route. You walked around the south west side of the building, starting to scope out the terrain. His body followed yours like a curious cat, walking slowly and steadily. His eyes scan over your body, learning every inch, while his fingers itched for the blood of the master who treated you like shit.
His mind was all over the place, and he struggled to make sense of it. Why was he following this young woman, while he was trying to get a job done. You felt his strong force signature, and ignited your blue saber. Your eyes darting in different directions, the man skilled in force distribution. Your body was on fire with a concoction of anticipation and adrenaline, using all the energy you could on finding the being who was a potential threat to the order.
After 10 minutes the signature was gone, and so was your energy. You walked back to your wall position and slouched against it, fingers rubbing your eyes as a new ache came from your temples. “Fucking hell, they’re now messing with my night duties. How low can they get?”
The black and red patterned man left on his ship with new information and some
conflicting emotions.
———
A year and 10 months passed and your life was bizarre to say the least. The mistreatment, name calling and isolation was still the same to your disappointment. But your sleep quality was heavily improved, your body felt better rested, and your anxiety has gone down significantly. The only side effect was weird dreams.
Across the span of this time the man had gone through a handful of months of trying to shove you from his mind, you were like a plague. He also thought of the most brutal of deaths for the master who insulted you. He got so annoyed with his mind he requested to be in a new area of the galaxy to not be able to even feel your presence
it didn’t help a single bit.
5-6 months into the year he had started accepting the emotions, and decided to watch over you. He wasn’t happy about the Jedi order’s behavior towards you. He was ready to kill every person who looked disgusted or said anything about you. He watched over you as you cussed, and cried for an ounce of a nice nights sleep, so he used his powers to lull your mind into restful, sweet, blissful sleep. The next morning your body felt like it was on a fluffy cloud. Your eyes welled up with tears of relief, and joy as you had enough energy to put in a little more effort in your appearance. Hair tied up in a proper style instead of a messy ponytail, uniform clean, and a smile rested on your slightly red, bitten lips.
The joy was only short as you were sent on a 2 month mission a few weeks later, and your sleep got worse again. This caused the multiple horned man couldn’t find you. But don’t worry he is a very determined person, and found you within a week.
At that point, your anxiety and stress had sky rocketed. Your usual bullying had gotten worse, because you didn’t make it to base camp at the allocated time. Leading to your masters to yell at you, give you inventory to sort, and you couldn’t rest until it was complete. Half way through you felt the familiar force signature from the first night. A smooth, yet gravelly voice made you jump while instinctually igniting your lightsaber.
“You shouldn’t have to endure the torment they put upon your heart and mind” the voice spoke, while coming out of the shadows. Confusion etched its way onto your face. You could tell the hooded man was no good, a Sith Lord most likely but you didn’t try to alert any one of his intrusion. His words seeped into your mind like sand between one’s toes. Repeating over and over.
“What is your business here?!” You got into your fighting stance, trying not to question his words and protect your camp. If you save them from this guy you could finally be liked! He rolled his eyes, using his ability with the force to seep into your thoughts. “You know they’ll find something wrong, even if you succeed in taking me out Darling”
Your figure slightly slumped over as his eyes held the truth. His hand reached and snatched your Saber from your hand, retracting the beam and placing it on your belt. Your confusion amplified at his actions. “What? W-why are you even telling me this?”
“Because Darling” he walked up to you, stopping just a foot from your body. You could see the details of his face, the red more clear in contrast to the black. “You know I’m right”. Your heart sunk to the bottom of your stomach, you did, you knew he was right.
———
From that day he showed up randomly, sometimes when you expected it, and sometimes you had to aggressively push him behind a wall and whisper “are you nuts?!”. He would smirk and shrug, walking off. You’d roll your pretty eyes and follow.
You stayed in the order, but found your comfort and peace in the man who went by “Maul”. It took a while for you to believe he wasn’t lying about a few things about himself, but once a foundation of trust was made you hung onto his every word.
You of course went through the usual phases. “What do you want?”, To “you again?”, To “stalker much?”, To “oh thank kriff you’re here!”. You guys maintained a great friendship. You had inside jokes, comfort between one another, learnt every little thing about each other, and so much more. The friendship lasted 4 years, until the following year (when you turned 25) you both felt a shift in the atmosphere. Catching each other’s eyes at random moments, longer silences and more tactile interactions.
However your workplace never got better, Maul would be there to support you through the worst days. The first time you both initiated a hug was when you were having a mental breakdown, and just a simple hand on your back didn’t help he pulled you tight, and close to his chest. You froze immediately upon impact, shocked but still in the middle of a mental breakdown you continued to get all of your feelings out in the crook of his neck. From there you both were comfortable in each other’s arms.
The 5th year, as the aura of your friendship was in its transformation you were struck with another breakdown. You flung yourself off your bed, the tie of your pajamas becoming loose as you ran into the woods. The fabric lowed over your shoulder as your eyes frantically looking for your confidant. You knew not to call out his name, they, the Jedi, will find you and punish you. Or worse, kill him. So your body fell to the ground trying to breathe through the pain.
The crunch of his boots against grass had you looking up at his worry stricken face. He reached for you as you blabbered through sobs “please
take m-me
away from here!" he held you and fixed your pajamas. Once you settled into his embrace he lifted your face by your chin, looking for any hesitations. Once certain he took his cloak off and placed it onto your frame. “Ok Darling, let’s go”
———
You got yourself familiar with your new home, which was his chambers on the planet of Mustafar across the span of 4 days. “How are you feeling darling?” His voice sounded so sweet in your ears. Your mind was finally at ease being off that planet. Your stress and anxiety felt like a distant memory already. You got up from his surprisingly comfortable bed while grabbing his outstretched hand. “Better, much better Maul”. He pulls you to his meditation room which was attached to his chambers. “This is where I would seep into your mind to bring you restful sleep”.
“I knew it was you after a while, the pieces of the puzzle came together on their own.” You smiled up at him. He reciprocated with his own smile. Maul used the force to pick up your lightsaber off your night table. “Are you ready and are you sure?” He held your chin again. “Yes”. With the force Maul opened your saber, to retrieve the Kyber crystal, placing it onto the ground you sat cross legged.
“Now, focus all of your energy on the sadness, all of your anger, all of your frustration, all of your pain into a ball. With that ball, force it into your crystal.” He instructed, and you followed suit. The blue of your saber fought against the red hue that was being emitted from your very soul. It wasn’t strong enough, compared to how you felt about those who put you through the worst years of your life. “Concentrate” he kept you grounded. Maul could sense your mind wandering.
The crackling had stopped, and the Kyber crystal was bled. You pulled it to your hand with haste, opening your eyes to look at it. A smirk stretched across your lips. Getting up you walked towards the man who you owed your freedom to, looking into his eyes he noticed the rings of orange and red in replacement to your (e/c).
“I love you Maul, I think I always have” your face came close to his, seeking the same emotion in his gaze. There was a moment of quiet, before his lips made contact with yours. The kiss was soft, tender and warm. With undertones of sickening revenge on his end. Maul pulled away, smiling down at your flushed face.
“I’ve always loved you too, my love”.
———
After a while of Maul teaching you new lightsaber tricks, force abilities that were forbidden by the Jedi code. All the while being the best lover the galaxy ever saw. He gifted you all the necessary things you had left behind, exotic flowers from planets he frequented and took the utmost care of you.
Your training had come to fruition, and your lover had approved you to come with him to fight. You grabbed your bag as you went to his ship, you got on board. As you walked up the ramp you saw Maul sitting in the cockpit. You placed yourself in his lap, folding your legs over each other. He kissed your lips as he took off.
On the way to your destination you had your regular conversations, and sat in comfortable silence. Maul never explained where you were going, but your gut told you that you already knew. Opening your bag you got your device, and when through some information with your lover. This consisted of notes from training, and important information from different groups of people he worked with. Half the time he got lost in your voice and had to get you to repeat yourself. “You are Darth Maul and you’re getting distracted? If the Jedi could see you now!” You laughed
“Of course I’m distracted love, have you seen yourself?” He rubbed your arm gently and held your gaze, which will never not make you blush deep red. “Shut the fuck up” you mumbled under your breath. His throat vibrated with a deep, amused laugh. Kissing your neck as he put the ship into hyperspace. His arm snaked around your waist to keep you from flinging forward, not letting go. This didn’t help your blush in any way.
You had landed at your destination, you were super excited to finally use your new skills and knowledge. Getting up from Maul’s lap, you put your cloak on and made sure your lightsaber was secured to your belt. Maul’s larger hands placed the hood over your head, casting a menacing shadow. “Ready, Darling?” His knuckles caressed your face and with a simple “Yes Master” you followed him out of the ships door.
The gravel beneath your boots was satisfying to your ears, as you approached a Jedi bass camp. DĂ©jĂ  vu hitting you hard, making your body burn with anger. Maul could sense it and refocused your mind, “stay focused Darth (y/n/n)”. Your response was a sharp nod with a small grunt. As you followed him you sensed force users. their signatures leaving a sour taste in the back of your throat. The camp was small, only housing 10 Jedi minimum.
"Wait here my love, you'll know when to come out" he placed a rough kiss to your lips, which you matched perfectly. You stayed behind the stones which hid the camp, choosing to lean against one that was nicely shaded. In your waiting time you practiced your breathing and preformed a brief meditation ritual, connecting to all the Sith Lords and Ladies that came before.
Maul walked up to the Jedi Knights, who were talking strategy around a table. some sitting, some standing and some lying down on the dirt. Their discussion came to a stop as they felt the aura of a threat. All of them got into formation, ready for anything.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen... If you could even call your selves that." his hands reached for the hood of his cloak, and elegantly placed it on his neck. His eyebrows lowered as he recognized all of your main bullies. His anger rising as he remembered all of your anguish and suffering. One, the worst of them all had the gall to speak. "What is the meaning of your intrusion, Darth Maul?" This caused a sinical laugh to come from the depths of his soul.
"Darling! come!" his voiced rasped. You smirked as you started walking, head down facing the dirt ground. Each step you took was an ego boost, while making you feel giddy for your plans to take shape. "The "meaning of my intrusion" is her"
Your steps came to a stop on the right side of his body, your black cloak twirling in the wind. The air became suffocating as your advanced force signature took over the atmosphere. "would you be so kind to introduce yourself my love?"
Raising your head, lowering your hood from your head you made eye contact with the Jedi. Their mouths become agape, shock etched onto their faces within seconds. "(y-y/n)?"
"You thought I was weak, but now I’m back to show you the true meaning of power. Let’s see how you handle the darkness you created."
With that the sound of 3 lightsabers were ignited and blood finally shed.

DONE! I hope you enjoyed it! It's not my best work, but if you feel otherwise then that is great!😂 For both my own indulgence, and research I went to TikTok to watch edits/clips to get a good look into the way his character is written in the movies. I hope I did him justice, and i conveyed what you envisioned! My years of developed creative writing skills finally kicked in a little over half way when i was writing! I'll edit it at some point, but for now I just want it posted. -LđŸ€

Talk to Me
Din Djarin x Jedi!Reader
Tumblr media
summary: You, Din, and Bo have been asked to “take care” of the malfunctioning droids on Plazir-15, and the Mandalorians don’t know much about the Jedi’s involvement in the Clone Wars.
warnings: mentions of trauma/ptsd, panic attacks, child endangerment(?), mentions of war, mild injuries/blood, i can’t think of anything else but lmk if i missed something
a/n: this is based on a request from @otter-nonsense620! it’s been a hot minute since i’ve watched the Mando so this might not be totally accurate but
wtv. when i was writing this i was imagining the characters had feelings for each other but hadn’t confessed yet, but you can read this as platonic or romantic. Anyways, enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Our constables are unequipped to confront battle droids,” the duchess said.
“Ah- former battle droids,” the duke corrected, looking pleased with himself. “They’ve been rehabilitated.”
You glanced nervously between Bo and Din. You wanted to be helpful to them and their cause, but hearing the words battle droid again for the first time since the war caused an unexpected spike of panic in you. The rest of the conversation with the duchess was muted in your ears, your mind running a mile a minute. Din’s husky voice in your ear brought you back to the present, “We’re leaving.”
You figured that Bo and Din had accepted the duke’s deal and your anxiety could only grow as you speak to the security officer and then the Ugnaughts. In the hyper loop on the way to the loading docks, you’re bouncing your knee and worrying the inside of your cheek when Bo takes notice.
“Hey,” she says, resting a hand on your knee, “what’s up, y/n?”
You look up from the ground to meet her eyes and find genuine worry, but dismiss her concerns nonetheless. “I’m fine, Bo. Don’t worry about me.”
She pulls her hand back and nods her head, yet you can still see a hint of concern as she resumes conversation with Din, who has paid no mind to your conversation.
You try to control your breathing as you walk through the loading docks, recalling your time in the Order. Battle droids of all kind are working various jobs on the docks, and you can recognize almost every model, having taken many down in the war. You’re following a line of centurion droids when you come to an access point headed by a B-1 model. It’s almost identical to the models that fought in the war, and you find yourself spiraling into a memory from years ago

You knew a war was coming, but you didn’t know this was how. You, your master, and many of the other members of the Order had gone to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi from Count Dooku. You remember being excited, as you were barely a teenager and this was your first official “battle”. The arena was packed, and you knew Jedi were scattered secretly throughout the stands.
When you finally ended up on the field, surrounded by droids, you began to grasp what was going on. This was war. You stood frozen as your friends and colleagues dropped dead in the sand. Dust was filling your lungs and blood covered every surface in sight.
A hand grasped at the bottom of your robes, and you looked down at the body. It was your master, collapsed at your feet with a nasty blaster wound in her side. You dropped to your knees and tried to stop the blood flowing from her wounds, the substance thick and warm on your shaky hands. A sharp ringing in your ears blocked out your master’s final words before her eyes glazed over. A large shadow loomed over you and you followed it to where a B-2 unit stood with a blaster aimed at your head. A scream was caught in your throat, unable to escape from the pure shock coursing through your veins. A green saber slashed through the droid just in time, and the jedi wielding it offered a hand to help you up. Your master’s blood coating your hands and robes, you ignited your lightsaber and moved to a proper fighting stance.
You were ripped from your memory when Din was thrown across the docks, likely by the centurion with an extended fist. The droid breaks out into a run as Bo starts firing at it. Your heartbeat rises in a crescendo as scenes from the war replay in your head and you are left useless to stop them. You’re struggling to breathe and sobs are shaking your entire body. Though you can hardly move, you begin to stumble back to the hyper loop and to the rooms provided to you by the duke and duchess.
Your hands are warm and you keep seeing your masters eyes in your head, staring dully into yours. Violent tremors rack your body and your skin is burning hot. You can almost feel phantom blood soaking into your robes, and you tear and paw at your sleeves.
You’re hysterical when Din finds you curled up against the wall. Tears stain your cheeks and you’re muttering hopelessly to yourself about “i wanna go home,” and, “i’m sorry i’m so sorry.”
For a long moment, Din doesn’t know what to do. He stands there feeling helpless as he watches you suffer. His body moves of its own accord when he crouches next to you and places a warm hand on your arm. Your gaze finds him with a sense of numbness in your eyes. “Hey,” he says softly, “I’m here.”
You say nothing in response but tears come back into your eyes and he buries you in his arms, letting you cry into his shoulder as much as you need. Din is the one to break the silence.
“What’s wrong, y/n?” he asks.
“It’s stupid,” you say.
“It’s not stupid, he says, “talk to me.”
So you do. You tell him everything. Your master, your many battles in the war, every time you brushed with death. A weight was lifted off your shoulders, and he was the one to hoist the burden. Din held you the whole time, rubbing soothing circles into your back. Then you told him why you were crying now.
“It’s just, seeing all those droids again
” you start.
“Y/n,” he says sorrowfully, “if I had known.”
“It’s not your fault, Din. You couldn’t have known.” you reassure him.
“I should have. You shouldn’t have to bear that all by yourself.” He thought for a moment. “I’m always here, you know. Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to go through it alone. You can always talk to me.”
You touch his arm softly, “I know that now, Din.”
Slowly, he starts to stand up and offers you his hand. “C’mon. Let’s get you in bed.”
He leads to to your bed and as you’re getting settled under the thick blanket, you feel the bed dip beneath you as he sits next to you.
“Scoot over,” he says, and you oblige. His arms go to wrap around your waist, and he pulls your body towards his in a comforting manner. He holds you this way for the rest of the night, and as you feel yourself drift into sleep, you know you are loved.

The tension hung heavy in the air as you faced him, the man you loved appeared to be long gone. His helmeted face concealed any trace of the person you once knew, and his voice, distorted by the modulator, carried a tone of bitterness and anger.
"Why, (Y/N)?" he hissed, his red lightsaber humming menacingly. Hearing the sound of your name coming out of his mouth and being distorted by his helmet made you shiver. "Why did you betray me? Why are you with him?" Vader’s voice dripped with a searing sense of betrayal as he spoke, as if every word carried the weight of a love now shattered and a trust irreparably broken. His tone quivered with the pain of feeling abandoned and let down by someone he had once held so close to his heart.
Your heart ached at his words, and you struggled to find the right response. "Anakin, I didn't betray you," you pleaded, your voice trembling. "I never wanted any of this. I just want you to come back to me."
Anakin's breathing was heavy, and his anger seemed to boil over. "You and Obi-Wan," he spat, his words laced with venom. "He turned you against me. Obi-wan couldn't stand knowing that I was more powerful than him, he was jealous—and now you." In all your years of knowing him, you had never heard him refer to you like that. “
“He couldn't stand to see me happy, to see me achieve what I've worked so hard for. I can't let anyone destroy it."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you took in the heartbreaking reality of the situation. Anakin believed you had turned against him, that you were working to thwart his plans. He couldn't bear the thought of you being on the opposite side, and his desperation had driven him to this point.
A tragedy was unfolding before your eyes as you felt responsible for the total destruction of the love of your life. You watched in despair as Anakin, the man you had cherished and believed in, had been driven to this point of desperation and darkness. It was as though the very essence of the love you had once shared was being consumed by the overwhelming power of the dark side, leaving you with a deep and profound sense of loss that threatened to shatter your very soul.
Before you could say another word, Anakin lunged at you, his red lightsaber swinging with deadly intent. Reluctantly, you ignited your own lightsaber, the green blade crackling to life. The clash of lightsabers marked the beginning of a battle neither of you had ever wanted, but one that had become inevitable. Each clash of lightsabers felt like another painful blow to your heart, a cruel reminder of what had been and what was now slipping away, seemingly beyond your reach.
As the battle unfolded, your heart was torn between love and sorrow, anger and regret. You fought not just for your life but for the man you had once known, hoping against hope that there was still a chance to bring him back from the abyss.
You couldn't help but remember the days when the two of you had fought side by side as Jedi, when love had blossomed between you. But now, that love seemed like a distant memory, overshadowed by the darkness that consumed him.
Without a word, Darth Vader lunged at you, his crimson blade slashing through the air. Instinct took over once again as a clash of lightsabers filled the space around you, the sound a painful reminder of the divide that now separated you.
As you parried his strikes, you couldn't help but see glimpses of the man you once knew, intuitively you could sense part of him was still fighting against the influences of the dark side. The eyes that had once gazed at you with love and warmth now held only a cold, distant fire beneath the black helmet. Your heart ached as you fought, refusing to believe that the Anakin you loved was entirely gone.
The battle raged on, and with each strike you tried to reach him, to call out to the part of him that had once been good, but your words fell on deaf ears. He was consumed by an indelible feeling that overwhelmed even the quietest parts of his being, an echo that seemed to never stop, and it seemed that nothing could bring him back.
But you couldn't give up, not now, not when you have him in front of you. With every swing of your lightsaber, you held onto a glimmer of hope, a belief that there was still a chance to save him. The battle was fierce and heart-wrenching, a tragic dance of two souls torn apart by the forces of destiny.
In the end, it was Anakin who delivered the final blow, his red blade cutting through your defenses, but it was not a deadly cut; you knew he did that on purpose. As you fell to the ground, gasping for breath, you looked up at him one last time, tears in your eyes.
"Anakin, please," you whispered, your voice filled with love and desperation. "You could come back to me. We all miss you," you say softly while trying to stay calm. The cut on the skin of your leg definitely burned agonizingly. But having him in front of you, with tears flooding your cheeks, you had to make him see reason. Your voice trembles with emotion. "It's okay you made the wrong choices; we'll take you back."
Anakin's eyes, hidden behind his menacing mask, seem to flicker with a hint of conflict. "I'll only hurt you again," he responds, his voice tinged with regret.
It was a cry for help, an agonizing plea that he no longer wanted to inflict pain on others. Seeing you on the ground had inadvertently triggered an internal alarm within him. He had harmed the woman he loved, the woman he had envisioned building a future with, the one with whom he had hoped to grow old.
Tears threaten to spill from your eyes once again, but you swallow hard, determined to reach him. "We'll keep a better eye on it," you insist, desperation seeping into your tone. "We'll learn to live with things, and communicate it all this time."
If this were a movie, the most tense and guilt-ridden soundtrack would undoubtedly be playing in the background. Yet, it wasn't necessary to hear the music to feel the overwhelming weight of remorse and desperation that hung in the air, palpable even through the Force. Anakin awoke from a deep, dark slumber that had consumed him for years, as the realization of what he had become, and what he had done to the love of his life, flooded over him like a tidal wave of anguish and regret.
For a moment, it seems as if the darkness in Anakin is wavering. You can sense the turmoil within him, the battle between the Sith Lord and the Jedi he used to be. But will your words be enough to bring him back from the brink of darkness?

“You never even came to find me,” Maul hissed at you, red lightsaber clashing against your own green one.
“I was told you were dead,” you snapped back. You twirled around and used the force to push Maul backwards giving yourself an opportunity to relax before he was swinging at you again.
“You could have tried,” he growled. “Instead you joined what we swore to destroy together!”
“I had no choice!” You said angrily.
“We always have a choice Y/N,” Maul snapped. He was hurting inside. “You just chose wrong!”
“If I knew you were alive, I would have done anything to find you,” you said, stepping backwards and turning off your lightsaber. Maul looked at you completely perplexed as you laid your lightsaber on the ground and held your hands up.
“What are you doing?” He asked, still standing in a defensive stance.
“Laying down my weapon, Maul,” you said simply.
“But why?” He hissed. “Pick it up, I’m not through with you yet.”
“Yes you are. I’m not fighting you anymore, Maul. If you want to kill me, go ahead.”
Maul shook his head, retracting his lightsaber and staring at you with wide eyes. This had to be some sort of trick, something Kenobi had set up. Using you as bait was a low blow, but something he wouldn’t put past the Jedi. After all these years of working with the Jedi, you must have told them the details about the nature of your relationship with him. He placed his lightsaber back on his hilt and outstretched his hand to you. “Killing you would only kill me,” he whispered softly. “Take my hand. Join me once more.” You bit your lip, hesitated for a moment. You had spent the last few years of your life dedicating yourself to the Jedi after all the wrongdoings you had done by Maul’s side. After you learned of his ‘death’ you hoped you could put that life behind you, but with the Zabrak standing in front of you very much alive, you highly doubted yourself to turn him down. His yellow eyes gazed into yours and you felt your heartbeat pick up a few paces as Maul walked towards you, hand still outstretched. “Think about what we had Y/N.”
“I am!” You snapped, taking a few steps backwards. “It wasn’t good for either of us.”
“You don’t mean that,” he whispered, still stalking towards you. “You were my stars in the galaxy, the light that guided my way. Please, come with me. I need you. Please.”
How could you deny him when he begged so deliciously for you and only you. You sighed and closed your eyes slowly for a few seconds while you thought long and hard about what you were going to do. Images from your past flashed through your mind; your time with Maul, the good and the bad. It clouded your senses and you were sure this was Maul’s doing. When you opened your eyes, Maul was standing directly in front of you. His breath, short and shallow, fanned across your face. His eyes pleaded to you silently. “What do you want from me, Maul?” You asked, knowing the answer was damn well you.
“You know what I want,” he whispered, leaning his face closer to yours. Your breath hitched in your throat as his lips skimmed your own, making their way to your ear. “I can’t live without you by my side any longer. Not after seeing you again.”
You felt your knees buckle at his words, despite how simple they were. You believed him too, knew he was being truthful. His hand grazed your waist gently, pulling you closer to his body. You willingly leaned into his touch. It had been years since someone had touched you the way Maul was touching you now, as if you were glass that could be broken with a simple flick of the wrist. “Maul,” you whispered, your chest rising and falling sharply with each breath you took.
“I know,” he cooed, face moving to be in front of yours once more. Without warning, Maul pressed his lips to yours quickly. His warm hands came up to cup your face gently, pulling your face as close to his as possible. You stiffened as his lips connected with yours as the thoughts swirled around in your mind: what were you doing! You couldn’t let him get to you. Couldn’t let him ruin what you’d worked so hard for since you had last seen him, but it was too late, your arms had already instinctively wrapped around his neck. Maul smirked against your lips and deepened the kiss, his hands dropped to your waist and grasped at the fabric that separated him from your bare skin. When he pulled away from the kiss, Maul pressed his forehead against yours and sighed contently. “Join me, baby.” Your heart clenched at the pet name. Maul knew exactly what to say and do to turn you to the Dark Side and you hated that. You wished you were strong enough to resist him, but when he looked at you the way he was looking at you right now, you couldn’t say no. You nodded your head and Maul smirked. He moved his forehead away from yours and pressed a kiss to your right temple. “I’ve missed you, my love,” he whispered against your head, pulling you into a sweet embrace.
“I’ve missed you too,” you whispered into his chest. It was then that the tears welled in your eyes. All the emotions came flooding back to you, emotions that you had kept buried for years. Your place was by his side; you knew it and so did he. He wasn’t going to let you get away from him again, no matter what it took.

Note: I brought up some characters from different timelines!!
Word count: 5k
You made General Kenobi take you to this bounty in Agamar, you made sure you were going to take down the Separatist droids from the planet.
He tried as long as he could to deny your solicitations, but you made your way through his warming heart either way. This was a different battle, though, it couldn't possibly go wrong because Obi-Wan has been hiding since almost the entire Jedi order was annihilated.
Along with you in his ship, there were a few members of the New Republic, to ensure the bounty worked out. You were a nervous wreck, obviously. But every time something was about to go wrong, you would just leave and not look behind, those were Kenobi's orders.
And you did, every time. Every time you're going on a hunt you can't shake the urge of seeing Anakin one more time. You haven't heard about him since he took you away and sent you back. You didn't know what fights he was fighting, you didn't know if he was getting himself hurt as he always did.
You didn't know if he was being captured, tortured, or if he was once again winning the battles. It was unknown to you if he was still becoming more powerful. He didn't want to look after you, because he knew he would back down.
But he wanted the power, he wanted the Empire. He wanted to show Obi-Wan how good he is now, wanted to show him how much better he is. You shake your feeling away when your General senses you're getting too distracted. He just knows how you feel about Skywalker.
"You take the right with Poe and the others, I'll take left", he demands, looking around himself. "Don't do anything unless you're told", you nod to him.
God he sounds exactly like a father would. This is how you consider him to you, a father figure, after all. You're wearing a disguised uniform, holding your blaster close to your face and you enter the building.
Poe was the one leading the way as you're crouching through the small gaps between the hallways. He has been such a huge support for Obi-Wan and a great friend to you. He's rising his way to become a General for the Resistance.
His low whistle caught your attention as you watched the first Droids making their way to the Tech room. Both you blasted against them, but they sent a warning through the entire building. "Shit", he muttered.
"Take the next floor, I'll be right out with you", he whispered as a loud buzzing noise started ringing in your ears.
You made your way to the elevator, slowly examining the small room before you got in. Through the small walkie, you heard when Kenobi told you to be careful because there were others fighting against the Droids.
Fuck, this is where you might end up getting yourself hurt or start running away. Again. You begged across your walkie. "Poe, where the hell are you?".
"Kinda busy", he was panting. He was definitely not getting any break from the small Droids that could turn into balls, throwing itself at him.
Oh, great. Great, great, great. You took in a sharp breath as you got out of the elevator, carefully watching the empty hallway. It was never good when it was this empty.
You're running through the small gaps as you hear footsteps approaching. You can't help but notice the "swoon" sound the sword makes. From the corner, you peak a green lightsaber hanging in a small person's hand.
"Master! They're leaving to the ground floor", she yells. You stutter for a second. Who the hell is her Master and why is she yelling?
"Jesus, Ahsoka. I told you to not be loud", it was a voice you could recognize from miles away. He whispered through the hallway.
This cold but definite shiver caught you off guard and your heart started to fail its beating. The sigh leaving your mouth could almost be heard. Your walkie was making noise in the distance, but it was distorted inside your head.
"Fuck sake, (Y/N). Are you there?", Poe yelled through his walkie, you squinted your eyes from how loud he was.
There was a sudden silence, the small person slowly walking towards the sound as you turn if off. At the same time, Anakin turned his head to the same direction she was walking to. The presence triggered him as he knew it was you.
He could sense your energy tingling against his skin and he didn't move a finger. He tried to warn Ahsoka but she just wouldn't listen to him. You just stood there holding your blaster, waiting to shoot at whoever made your way.
It wasn't exactly the most rational thing to do, honestly. But then he dropped her saber and she grunted, looking at him. From your position, you still couldn't see him in the hallway. "I had it, Master!", she complained.
"Go find the other Droids", he demanded. She picked up her saber and left. You could only see the shape of his shadow until then. "What are you doing here?".
His low tone made you tremble and it was hard to breathe. You didn't answer, you were trying to pick up your pace, because it was too sudden to deal with him like that. You were waiting for it though, weren't you?
"Obi-Wan brought you with him again, didn't he?", he leaned against the wall and you could see him. He was wearing an armor. His short curly hair making a swoop, he was just acting nonchalant towards you this time.
"I- I made him", you stuttered as you heard him chuckle.
"I wasn't expecting to see you so soon after you tried to confront me", his voice was just above a whisper and you noticed how he was trying to act casual.
You were just too embarrassed and too nervous to actually move your body from the gap, and decided it was comfortable staying there like that. But then he made his way closer to you and your body stiffened.
You realized he didn't have a red spark against his eyes, it was just naturally blue, like it was supposed to be.
"So, are you gonna tell me what you're doing here with Kenobi and some soldier?". His voice was gentle and husky, it was crawling up your skin.
He was trying to make his way through your brain, trying to work on his Jedi mind reading, trying to manipulate you into telling him the truth. But Obi-Wan thought you well enough to not give in on that, and you didn't.
You almost failed to, but you gathered your self-conscious because it was ridiculous to act up like that in front of him.
"I've been feeling your presence almost every single day. I gave up on the Senator because I couldn't shake you away". He held a bitter tone while saying that. It's not what he really wanted to do.
He let out a sarcastic and nasal laugh as he kept talking to you. "And to think I'd rather become a Master and a General, just like Kenobi".
You watched as he came closer, standing only a few inches apart from you. You could see how much he's changed since. You didn't know how to react to him honestly, and he noticed that.
"Now who's feeling so intimidated she won't talk?", his voice was soft, but completely provocative at the same time. "You're afraid of me now?".
He towered over you, watching as you flinched when he finally hovered his body against yours. You muttered as you said "no" to him. His grumpy face was making its presence now, but he still held his sharp gaze at you.
"You're gonna tell your General to leave, aren't you? This isn't his job anymore. You can also tell that other soldier to give up on the mission", he demanded.
You're feeling intimidated, not scared. You didn't move an inch and he noticed that. You just shook your head.
"Don't make me angry. I don't like it when I'm angry", his tone started to rise against his throat and it became husky.
It worked differently on you, how the way he was talking to you just made you feel desire for him. He can probably read your mind right now and if he does, he's gonna think you're insane.
You keep staring at each other, so much so that he felt numb for a second standing so close to you. "I.. missed you", you spilled.
You watched as he raised his brow, caught with surprise by your statement. "God, it felt like torture. I just wanted you to be safe. From the others, from you".
He gulped a lump in his throat, he wasn't expecting any of that and it hit him like a hurricane. He was so confused, he took a minute to finally understand your words.
"I'm alright", he finally said. It didn't seem like he was, but he was alive at least. It was never easy to fight a battle when he was still trying to bury his dark side deep in his soul.
It was still there, ready to be awakened at any time if he got angry. He was doing everything he could to not get angry, but sometimes it just slipped away.
To realize you were the one to notice he was lying made you wanna take care of him. It made you feel like you could be there for him. "Are you sure?".
"I'm fine", this one had a different tone, obviously he was trying too hard to seem cool. He actually wasn't. He fell apart inside at the sight of you. Because he wasn't expecting to see you that soon, honestly.
You hugged his shaped torso and sank your head into his chest. He didn't react, didn't flinch. He looked blankly at the wall, feeling his metal hand instantly going for your hair, softly petting your scalp.
You shivered against his touch and he noticed it. You looked up at him, he was so much taller you had you hold back your head. Your small hand grabbed his scarred face and Anakin reluctantly closed his eyes to your touch.
His skin burned under your touch and he cursed himself. After Padmé he didn't want to open up to anybody else. You broke that wall, you crossed his ice-cold heart like no one did before.
He opened his eyes to stare at you and you caught his pupils dilating, his mouth barely holding a breath. The following seconds lasted like an eternity when he gripped your waist tightly against his hands, forcing himself to not shove you against the wall and pin you down.
Skywalker suddenly pulled you by his hand as he rushed into an empty room, closing the door and immediately locking it with his force. That was so hot. Then he threw you against the wall, the frown on his face making it look like was about to snap at you.
But he didn't. He then pointed his index finger at you, panting loudly. "This is a risky game you're playing".
"I'm playing no games", you hummed, feeling his breath fanning your entire face. "I don't like playing games".
"If you're trying to trap me, I'm gonna-", he started threatening but you scoffed.
"I'm not". You were holding your gaze against him, watching him become softer now. He still had a grumpy face as always. "Trust me. I'm not".
It was way too obvious he didn't trust you, not a single bit of trust. But he sensed you weren't lying, because your heartbeat was in a low pace. It wasn't rushed.
"I cannot trust you", Anakin was too tempted to just take you by his lips. It was making him suffer in anticipation from something he wanted.
"I know", you looked straight into his soul and it melted him. God, it was just so easy for you to just make him let his guard down. Even when he didn't want to.
His hair perfectly sat on his head made your heart jump, his smell was making you dizzy and you wanted to jump on him.
Anakin not only noticed that, but he made sure he cornered you and pinned you to the wall. He tangled his flesh fingers in between your hair, still looking at you. This time he wasn't having issues figuring out who he was, because he was being himself.
You realized that when you could still see his ocean eyes flicker with desire. He wanted to have you so bad right now. "God, you make me weak. It's just so not good for me", he groaned.
He let go of his armor, wearing just a long sleeved tunic. You could see how his shoulders were too broad, bigger than before. He was just really building up.
You honestly just sighed heavily at your sight and he smirked. He placed a thumb upon your face, rubbing your delicate skin as he struggled with himself.
Skywalker then decided to smack his lips against yours desperately as he left a groan out of his throat. It was itching him inside. It was chewing him up. You let him pursue your tongue with his and you felt a bliss of lust as you tasted him for the first time.
You hummed against his mouth and he brought you closer to him. He grasped your tongue against his teeth, ripping a moan from you, which made him savor you and deepen his kiss.
His metal hand gripped your waist and squeezed it, feeling the same shockwaves in his veins as the first time he touched you. You didn't want to mess his perfect hair, but you had been wishing to pull it for such a long time.
You had a fistful of it, brushing your fingertips on his neck as you felt his skin shiver against it. "You're gonna be the death of me, fuck", he muttered.
You gently chuckled as you pressed your lips against his, while your tongues fight for dominance. You were having too much trouble breathing, but you didn't want to let go of him just yet.
From the other side of the door, Poe told Kenobi there was a locked door. He asked for permission so he could tear it down. You didn't listen to the entire conversation, you were too focused on Anakin.
His scent was enveloping you and his warm body made you almost faint. He was feeling disturbed by the emotions washing over his entire body.
When Poe smashed the door down, you both were caught up with the loud thud and the echo it made. You slowly turned your head and watched the soldier stare back at you in shock.
You feel when Anakin stiffens his body close to you, his frown back on his face, but he doesn't move.
"I, uh-", Poe tried to explain himself but he was still surprised. "Uh, you're Anakin Skywalker and you're (Y/N)". He said it in an obvious way, too nervous to speak actual words.
The Master next to you just moved his body slightly to have a better look at him. "Yeah, what do you want?".
"I was... y'know", he pointed at you. "Just looking for her since she muted her walkie", he emphasized as he warned you about your walkie.
His brain was about to explode, and he made sure you knew he was mad at you. Obi-Wan is going to flip out at you.
He was chuckling nervously as he clumsily scratched his forehead. "I'm sorry about the door. I'll let General Kenobi you're alive and well".
God, this was just so embarrassing and ridiculous at the same time. You watched him leave and looked at Anakin with a flushed face. Now you were just too shy to stare at him.
"You better go", he said while grabbing your chin gently so you would look at him. "I'll see you around".
God, that's so not what you had in mind. You didn't want to go, you didn't want to leave him behind again. You shake your head and he makes you go, but you refuse to.
He turned his back against you, he didn't want to face you when you leave. This is like your first interaction all over again. He couldn't be able to watch you leave.
"Go!", his words were harsh and too sharp against your ear and you flinch, leaving the room. You had a last look at him, while he's leaning against a table, bringing his head down.
Fuck, why is it never a good time for you to be with him? Fuck you, Poe. You had to be a good soldier.
You got out of the elevator watching as Kenobi, Poe and the others finally finish the bounty, gladly winning the battle. You don't even disguise the irritation in your face when you get close to them.
This Ahsoka girl suddenly emerged behind you, the "swoon" of her saber too close to your back. "Hey, freeze", she shouted.
The whole group looked directly at you as she made a move on you. She was definitely shorter than you, but way more powerful.
"You're not leaving this building until you give me what we need". Kenobi approached both of you, carefully waving at her.
"We should talk first", he offered, she denied. She was one fierce little person. "Who are you here with?".
"My Master", she said. She then realized she shouldn't have said it.
"Yeah, and her Master is Anakin", you try to act too cool about it, but she threatened you.
His jaw dropped to the floor as he wasn't expecting it. Once again Skywalker made his presence known as he showed up, already wearing his armor again.
"Obi-Wan, you should go. I'm not gonna fight you this time", he made Ahsoka keep her saber down and she obeyed him.
"It's good to see you, kid", he was still too shocked. Oh, and then he remembered about what Poe said. "You've got some nerve messing around with this guy".
You held such a threatening gaze at Poe he almost squinted. You heard Anakin chuckle at his words.
"Relax, Obi-Wan. She's not your daughter and she's an adult".
"Yeah, but she's definitely reckless", he retorted.
"Can we just go?", you muttered between your teeth.
Kenobi walked a few steps and offered to shake Anakin's hand. He accepted it, much to your appreciation, since they didn't have a great time before they parted ways.
"Good to see you, kid. And you have one brave little apprentice". He gave her a kind smile and she was too reluctant to accept it before she smiled back at him.
This time, he watched you go. He watched as you looked back before getting in the ship next to Poe. He's gonna get an earful for the next fucking century, you thought. When you looked through the window, you thought you saw him waving at you, but you weren't so sure.
"Be safe, Anakin", you thought to yourself.
Again, he could hear the muffled words in his head echoing. They were the same words you proclaimed after you left his place.
He felt a pinch in the pit of his stomach, much harder this time. He didn't have time to explain his apprentice he had to leave before it was too late.
He managed to follow Obi-Wan's ship, realizing he was keeping you under his watch. At his little place. Obviously, you had your own room, your bathroom, kitchen. But it was still his place.
He waited until Kenobi left the building and tried to sneak in, not knowing you were wrapped around a towel after taking a shower. Jesus, the way his look burned your skin, his eyes filled with lust as he tried to compose himself.
He cleaned his throat before you were fully naked in front of him, seeing you jump out at the sound. He was honestly kind of amused.
"What the hell are you doing here? If Obi-Wan sees you he's gonna fight you", you were trying to remain calm, but you were combusting in embarrassment as he watched you barely naked.
"He's not here", he explained, simply. The more he got closer to you, the more you started shivering. It was driving you crazy to see you so vulnerable like that.
"I asked what are you doing here", you repeated yourself, your words coming our barely above a whisper.
He grabbed your neck with both hands kindly, it started to feel numb. "I can't stop thinking about you, not even one day, after you left".
It hit you so hard and you came to the realization that he knew you were thinking about him as well. Anakin worked his way through the Sith, leaving the darkness behind because he knew he could be a better person.
He wanted to become a better person for the others, he managed to keep his path as a Jedi, but he only found a way that led him to teach Ahsoka. It didn't mean he really was a good person, he just wasn't the devil anymore like he was before.
"God, I can't stop picturing you and your lips", he squinted his eyes shut. He inhaled your smell, the smell of your shampoo. His thumbs were rubbing against your cheeks as you just cherished the moment.
"I can't fucking do this anymore. I can't be that far from you", he didn't let you speak, he planted a soft kiss against your lips, licking them as he tried to grant access. You nibbled his lip and hovered your tongue against his.
He quickly wrapped you around his broad arm as he deepened the kiss, quickly nudging his warm body across yours. He tried to get rid of his tunic without breaking the contact but knew it was impossible.
You took that opportunity to undress him, lowering his pants alongside with his underwear, you were burning inside. You didn't want to wait too long to suck him out of his mind.
His cock displayed right in front of you, a huge vein right across his length as it slapped against his bellybutton. You could see it glistening with the precum and you felt your mouth fill up with saliva.
You kneeled in front of him, watching as he tried to hold his eyes open but he couldn't take the sensation of desire out of his mind. His vision became foggy as you quickly pecked his tip, savoring his taste in your mouth as you listened to him hiss. You watched his hard rock twitch against your touch and you took him in fully.
His tip hit the back of your throat and you almost gagged, taking your time to adjust to his size inside your mouth. He grunted so loudly you couldn't help but smirk against his skin. You start bobbing your head up and down, tasting him entirely.
"Fuck, your mouth is just so goddamn good", he muttered against his teeth. He watched as you were still staring at him with flickering eyes. Anakin took a handful of your hair in his hand, thrusting against your mouth.
As you kept a faster pace, you felt yourself unconsciously moaning with a mouthful of his length. It was vicious. He tasted nothing like you thought, it was a hundred times better than that. He couldn't stop looking at you, at the way you perfectly wrapped your mouth around him made him become feral.
He didn't want to cum in your mouth, he wanted to cum inside you. Even if it wasn't the ideal time for that as he just confessed his feelings, but he was feeling too vulnerable right now.
He pulled your hair a little, just enough for you to stop eating him whole. He brought you closer and kissed you as if he depended on it. He tasted himself and he didn't care, because you were so hot right now. He locked your lower lip against his teeth and groaned your name. It made you soak in between your legs.
For his luck, you were already naked for him. He pulled the towel off of your body, throwing the fabric away from both of you and enjoyed the view. He liked his lips as he saw your exposed nipples, hard already. Anakin exchanged lustful gaze between your face and your breasts and hungrily grabbed one of them by his mouth.
You felt your legs become jelly when he used his metal fingers to rub against your nipple with his hand, while he was too busy sucking your skin raw. He was completely lost in his world, not caring he's making too many sounds, mumbling against your sensitive skin.
You finally grabbed his perfect curly hair with both hands, making a mess of it, while he was too preoccupied eating your nipple. You whined as the thin air made your sounds echo around the room.
He turned your body over and pushed you against the bed as you fell on the mattress. He wanted to see you on your knees while taking him inside you. It took you by surprise as one of is thumbs gently rubbed your swollen bud, shivering at his touch.
"God, you're so fucking wet", he pleaded with a loud grunt. "You're soaking for me, my darling". He was switching between tenderness and dominance and it made you feel lightheaded.
He used his fingertip to carefully massage your clit, opening your glistened folds, sliding it up and down your core. He leaned against your back and started to spread soft kisses around your skin. You couldn't stop holding your damn moans, you were just a fucking mess right now.
Anakin kept his finger around your folds, slowly sliding down until he reached your entrance. The way you flinched against his touch and arched your back made him hold your hips tightly with his other hand.
"Oh, Anakin", you mewled softly. He was trying to focus on giving you pleasure, but you were making it hard for him as he felt his dick was about to explode.
He rubbed your walls with so much desire, you could feel his thick fingertip touch your sweet spot back and forth. You were having trouble not rolling your hips against his delicious finger.
Skywalker kept leaving kisses all over your body, rambling sweet nothings close to your ear as you were feeling your release crawling up in your veins. When he felt your core clenching around his thumb, he let go of you.
He was urging to get inside you, his dick was aching and he was feeling a buzz in his ears. He spread one of his big hands across your back as he gently pushed you a little against the mattress. Anakin started to rub his tip against your folds, spreading them wide.
You felt your core burning up against his skin, you couldn't hold in any moan anymore and he quickly made his way inside of you. He let out a sweet groan as his length stretched your walls and you leaned forward in response.
It was a sweet motion as he first thrusted against you, his tip hitting your cervix as you tried to keep riding his cock back. His metal hand was hanging in your ass when he squeezed it tightly. "Oh my God, Anakin", you purred.
Your sweet talking got him sinking into you further and further, his metal fingers were leaving marks on your ass and he tried to keep himself calm, because he was losing control over his desire.
"You're so fucking tight, I'm going to ruin you", his husky voice was ringing in your head and he leaned towards you. You felt his rapid breath fanning your left ear and you squeezed harder around him, leaving him on the edge of his own orgasm.
When he noticed you were about to reach your release, he slowed down his pace so he could wait for you to come first. But the way his cock was arched inside you, hitting you nonstop, you felt your climax washing over you so hard you almost fainted.
Skywalker gripped his arm around you so you fell apart under him, as he rocked his hips against your ass. The mixture of sounds that could be heard in your room included your panting, his groans, and your skin slapping against his.
You felt him stutter behind you, leaking inside you as he fell over you, trying to breath as his lungs were out of air. "Fuck, this was marvelous". His voice was just above a whisper, his breath fanning you.
You were feeling so weak you barely laid down to watch him as he pulled away from inside of you and managed to clean you up first. He was still high up on his bliss when he fell on the mattress next to you, rubbing your cheek using his thumb.
You didn't speak for several minutes until he noticed you were conflicted. Was this just a one night stand thing? He trailed his fingertips across your skin, tangling his fingers against yours.
"I think we should start seeing each other more often. Nothing with surprises, I hate it. Because.. I- I think I like you", he almost tripped over his words.
"I feel like your presence that day changed the course of my path. I'd hate so say I'm not that person anymore, because I still am deep inside".
"I don't care, as long as you promise me you'll always be safe. Promise me you'll be around and make sure you're still you", you brushed your small fingers on his scarred face as he closed his ocean blue eyes and enjoyed your kind touch.
Anakin knew he couldn't just do it like that, this is not how it worked for him because he still couldn't fully trust himself. But he would have to try, for you.
"I promise I'll be safe. I promise I'll be Anakin Skywalker", he gracefully holds your hand and give it a wet gentle kiss. His eyes flicker with the emotion he's feeling in his veins.
He promised himself as well. Because he knew, deep in his soul, he should've been the same man he is now.

Our Padawan
Pairing: Anakin Skywalker x fem!Jedi!reader
A/N: this has been in the back of my mind for so long, I'm so glad I'm finally writing this down 😃😃 I love you all and hope you're happy and healthy
Warnings: fluff, family dynamic, platonic!Ahsoka x reader, Anakin being the best boyfriend ever
Summary: Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano takes a big risk during a mission: fighting General Grievous on her own. Her Masters, Anakin and Y/N, are ready to protect her from every and any danger; when they get her to safety, Anakin is relieved, but Y/N's fear of losing the young girl gets in the way of being glad that Ahsoka didn't get hurt.
Our Padawan II // Our Padawan III
Tumblr media
☆☆☆
"They sent the child to destroy my station? The Republic must be running out of Jedi!"
Ahsoka shifted her stance to defensive as she prepared her lightsaber.
To be truthful, this wasn't supposed to be a mission, but Anakin's "do as I say, not as I do" teaching strategy didn't seem to have the best results, and more often than not it ended up in the young Padawan doing exactly as he did.
And now she was facing Grievous nearly on her own, only accompanied by her fellow soldiers.
"You must be General Grievous."
The cyborg cackled exaggerately.
"He's just another tinny, boys. Let's scrap him like the rest." She sassed, lunging forward with her green lightsaber.
Grievous quickly blocked the blow and managed to shove her off. She hit the ground with a pained groan and looked up as the Clones shot at him. He deflected all the blaster shots, killing one of them and slashing two others with his lightsaber. He towered over Rex, who was sprawled out on the ground, and raised his weapon over his head. Ahsoka's eyes widened and she leapt in front of her friend, blocking the General's weapon with her own.
"Sorry to interrupt your playtime, grumpy, but wouldn't you prefer a challenge?"
"That wouldn't be you." As Grievous ignited a second lightsaber, she cringed internally.
Maybe she shouldn't have said that.
...
"Where is the fight you promised me, youngling?"
She was definitely getting in trouble for this.
Y/N and Anakin would kill her. She knew they'd be furious with her for doing this, but there was no turning back now.
She hid behind one of the metal shelves in the storage room, looking out for a way to escape. She used the Force to knock an item down on the other side of the room to distract Grievous, then made for sneaking out.
As if on cue, her commlink beeped. Damn it. She cupped her hand over it to silence the noise before answering. "Ahsoka, it's me, Rex. There are only two of us left. Should we abort the mission?"
"No, complete the mission. Set the charges and rendezvous at the landing bay." She replied as quietly as she could.
Ahsoka cut him off as he tried to protest. "That's an order, Rex. I'll keep the General busy. Ahsoka, out."
She turned off her commlink and silently crawled through the shelves as Grievous' gruff voice rang out again.
"Come here, child, I'm looking for you. So far you have failed to impress me."
The R3 unit found her as she backed up against the wall, flattening her body over the cold metal. "Goldie, over here." To her surprise, the droid shone a light on her, revealing her location. "Goldie, no!"
She gasped as the cyborg pulled the commlink off her wrist and destroyed it, making her miss the message Rex was about to send. "Your friends won't help you. You're stuck with me." His figure towering over her was certainly intimidating, but she slipped through a shelf and away from the General as fast as she could.
She climbed up one of the shelves and watched as Grievous asked Goldie for the report. "That stubby little backstabber." She whispered, feeling betrayed.
"Skywalker has come for his R2 unit?" He chortled. "Go and make sure they do not escape."
A sting of fear pierced Ahsoka's heart. Oh, no.
...
Y/N's brows knitted together as her commlink beeped. Anakin turned to give her a look of confusion, wordlessly asking her a question. "It's Rex."
Anakin frowned, wondering what was going on.
She immediately answered the call. "Rex? What's wrong?"
"We ran into Grievous."
"Are you all right?"
"Yes. Fives and I survived."
"Only you two? Where are the others?"
"Three of us were shot down... and Grievous is going after Ahsoka."
"Ahsoka?!" The two said at the same time, worry lacing their voices.
"Y/N, out." She said and ended the call, beginning to walk away.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Anakin hollered, running to block her way. "Where you going, tiger?"
"Where do you think? To save our Padawan's ass!" She snapped, then regretted it as she looked at his face. "I'm sorry, Ani. But we need to move now."
"Come on." He said, trying to give her a comforting smile.
...
Ahsoka climbed down and used her lightsaber to illuminate her surroundings as she peeked around the corner. She then turned it off and relaxed her tense posture slightly, but it didn't last long as Grievous grabbed her by the throat in a second, casting her lightsaber aside.
Her eyes widened in fear as Grievous towered over her, grabbing his weapon.
"Another lightsaber to add to my collection." He said as he ignited it and held it up near her face. "My R3 unit has dropped your precious Masters. When I'm finished with you, they're next." She strained her arm out to try to pry the lightsaber from his grip with the Force, failing. She was tired and her breath was running out.
"That was it?" He cackled. "Do it again. Come on." Ahsoka closed her eyes, reaching out to the Force. The weapon was grabbed from his hand successfully, but not by her. Grievous made a confused noise as he dropped the girl to the ground.
Y/N gripped the weapon tightly as she shoved Grievous away from Ahsoka: she blocked all his blows before successfully tripping the cyborg and hovering over him, her lightsaber at his neck. Ahsoka's eyes widened in shock and surprise as she watched her Master fight, with Anakin standing in front of the Padawan to protect her as she handled the fight, glaring daggers at Grievous while shielding Ahsoka with his body.
"If you ever come near our Padawan again, I swear to the Maker I will rip your teeny face off your teeny skull." Y/N growled, leaning the lightsaber closer to his throat.
"Oh, she's-she's under both of your training..? I didn't know that!" He excused himself meekly, stumbling over his words.
"Leave!" Anakin snapped. That was all it took to send him running away. "Snips, thank the stars you're all right!"
He knelt down in front of her to hug her tightly. He could feel the relief flooding him like a tidal wave as the young girl nestled into his embrace. "Are you hurt?"
She shook her head in response, raising her head to look at Y/N. "Masters, I-"
She silenced her with a glare. "You nearly got yourself killed."
"I... I'm sorry..." she said quietly, looking at her feet in guilt.
"Let's go back to the ship."
Y/N walked on ahead as Anakin looked down at his Padawan with a pout, knowing the impact the scare had on his lover.
Her mind was running a thousand miles an hour. If they had gotten there a few seconds later, Ahsoka would have been killed. The mental image was crystal clear: her limp body in her arms, her blood staining her fingers, Anakin's bloodstained hands and arms wrapping around her to comfort her as sobs racked her body-
"Stardust? You all right?" As if he knew whenever she was getting into her own head too much, Anakin's soft voice pulled her from her thoughts. When she clutched onto him for dear life, he swept an arm under her legs and picked her up bridal style, kissing her head before walking away. "Wait here, Snips."
He carried her into another room and set her down on the ground, pulling her onto his lap as she broke down in tears, hyperventilating as she sobbed in his shoulder. "I'm sorry, Ani..."
"Hey, you have nothing to apologise for, love," he soothed, massaging her scalp gently. "Tell me, what are you afraid of?"
She took a moment to regain her breath before speaking. "What if one day we don't get there in time? Just the thought of finding her makes me tremble..." her voice shook. "I love that girl, all right? I love her like a daughter and I can't lose her, Ani... not to this..."
Anakin's heart broke at the words: he already crumbled whenever he saw her cry, but hearing her speak those words in a desperate, scared tone made him want to take her in his arms and kiss all her pain away.
"I know, my love, I know," he hushed, nuzzling his nose into her hair. "Listen, I love her, too, and I certainly don't want to lose her... but she's not a child anymore. She's making her own decisions and learning from them. I know you feel like you need to yell at her until she promises to never do it again, but we need to stop babying her."
"Fine."
...
As they landed on Naboo, Y/N walked out the door first, not looking back as Ahsoka looked at Anakin in guilt. He responded with a sympathetic look, then walked up behind his lover to give her a back hug. She relaxed slightly as she melted into his arms, letting a few tears slide down her face again. He seemed to notice because she felt him kiss her shoulder and then lean closer to kiss the tears off her cheeks.
"It's alright now, my love. She's safe." Anakin whispered in her ear.
She shook her head, trying to push the lingering fear away. "Ahsoka."
The girl took slow, sad steps towards them, looking down at her feet to avoid catching their angry looks. She didn't know whether her Masters had a fight or not, but she was sure they were going to be mad.
"Ahsoka, what were you thinking?" Anakin asked when she stopped in front of them.
"You could have been killed! And what's worse, you put Rex and Fives in danger!" She continued, trying to keep her composure. "Why did you do that?"
"I... I was just trying to be brave like you guys..." she whimpered.
"Anakin and I are only brave when we have to be." Y/N said, her face softening as she looked at her.
"Snips, being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble." He added.
"But you guys aren't scared of anything." She said, looking up at us.
"We're scared of lots of things. And we also were today." Anakin spoke.
"You were?"
She hummed in response, tipping her chin upwards to look her in the eyes. "We thought we were going to lose you. We care about you very much, Ahsoka. And if something were to happen to you, I..." She trailed off, her eyes glossing over with tears. "I honestly don't know what I'd do with myself."
Ahsoka walked closer to her and wrapped her arms tightly around her waist, and Y/N sighed as she hugged her back. "I'm sorry I made you feel this way, and I care about you guys, too. I won't do it again."
Her heart swelled at the words and Anakin walked closer to hug both of then, squishing Ahsoka between them. She was surprised to see how calm they were, and honestly she was glad. "Thank you. That's very mature of you."
"Now go back inside, Snips. It's getting cold." He said, chuckling.
"Okay. Good night." She said as she pulled away and walked back inside.
"Eat something before you go to bed!" Y/N called out.
Anakin smiled at her caring attitude and wrapped his arms around his girlfriend once again. She finally smiled in content and leaned into his embrace with a sigh. "You handled that really well. I'm proud of you, my love."
"Thanks." She chuckled and turned around to kiss his lips softly. "I just- I didn't know I loved her that much..."
"Neither did I. But now we have her promise. That only leaves overcoming your fears, doesn't it?" He asked, smiling softly as his blue eyes looked deeply into hers.
"You're right." She replied and pressed their foreheads together, enjoying the moment of intimacy. Because of the Jedi Code, they were forced to avoid public displays of affection, so whenever they could get a minute to just be together, basking in each other's presence in a way they were forbidden to otherwise, they left all cares behind.
"Anakin?"
"Hmm?"
She looked up at him with her big doe eyes, flooding with love and admiration for him. "Thank you for being so supportive."
He smiled, then leaned down to kiss her shoulder. "Don't thank me, my love." Then he pressed his lips with hers in a slow and passionate French kiss. It was when Y/N let out a low moan that he decided to pull away.
"My love, we can't do this right now."
"I know." She mumbled grumpily, making him giggle.
"I promise that'll be the first thing we do when we get home." He whispered sultrily in her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
"I love you, Ani."
"I love you too, stardust."

The Gathering 1/4: “Cold”
Tumblr media
——————
Summary: A group of Jedi Younglings begin their journey to find their Kyber Crystals.
Word Count: 1749
Authors Note: Just a lil silly story with my ocs lol!! (also including my friends ocs :] )
——————
-28 BBY, Ilum -
“[I’m cold
]” YaupĂ© grumbled quietly. Well. As quiet as a wookiee could be. Which wasn’t very quiet at all. He was loud, in fact. Very loud.
“YOU’RE cold??” Cara whispered harshly, turning to her best friend, “You? The wookiee?”
“[Wookiees can get cold!]”
“Can not! You guys have all that fur!”
“[Uh! can too! Even with all this fur!]”
The two glared at one another. Of course, Cara knew wookiees were capable of getting cold. Heck, Yaupé was right here, buuuut
she couldn’t help messing with him. It was too much fun.
“Can not!”
“[Can too!!]”
“Can not!”
“[Can t—!!!]”
“YaupĂ©! Cara!” Master Yoda’s voiced called onto the two youngling. The two slowly turned their heads towards the Jedi Grand Master as their eyes opened wide. “Have something to say the two of you do? Hm?” He asked. It was easy to tell from the short green aliens tone that he was definitely annoyed at the two, which suprisingly wasn’t a rare occurance for them. By this point, everyone in the room had their eyes on them awaiting their response.
Kriff. This wasn’t good. They didn’t just interrupt a speech. They interrupted a MASTER YODA speech; meaning they could either be in for a long and boring lecture after this, OR he was totally gonna quiz them right now if they tried lying by saying they were paying attention—which they were’nt, so that could go equally as bad and earn them a lecture regardless.
The two younglings shot quick worried glances at one another before their eyes landed back on Master Yoda. Fearing the lecture, Cara quickly bowed apologetically, being as ‘Jedi-like’ as possible, “Apologies, Master Yoda, It won’t happen again!!”
Yaupé looked at the human girl, before following her lead, doing the same.
“[Yeah! Sorry, Master, we promise it won’t happen again!!!]”
“Hmm
” Master Yoda grumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose. He could hear the other younglings snickering at the human and the wookiee. At least they apologized though. That was something. “Saying, I was
” The old master sighed, starting again, “To protect others, how does a Jedi? Hmm?”. He looked around, making sure that all the younglings were really paying attention, before pulling out his lightsaber, igniting it, its green light bouncing off his olive green skin and reflecting off the ice and snow.
“The lightsaber.” He answered. “Build your own lightsabers in time, you will, but first, harvest your own crystal you must.”
The group of younglings all murmered to one another in excitement, expressing their clear enthusiasm with “No way!!”’s and “Heck yeah!”’s, along with two younglings who whispered; ‘Called it!’ and ‘No you didn’t, nerf-for brains!’. Master Yoda couldn’t help but smirk. If they were’nt listening before, they sure were now.
“The heart of a lightsaber, the Kyber Crystal is.” Master Yoda continued. “Focuses the Force from the Jedi it does
” He said, before raising his hands hand towards the sky. Master Yoda closed his eyes gently, focusing as he used the Force to open a window within the temple. When opened, a beam of light was shot from the outside into a crystalized contraption, hanging overhead, that reflected that beam into the tall icey doorway in front of the group, melting it all in seconds, and exposing the entrance to the caves where the younglings are to go for their crystals.
“If Jedi you are to become, enter the crystal cave you must.” Master Yoda started again, looking at each of the younglings. “Trust yourselves. Trust eachother, and succeed you will.”
~
As the water from the melted door cleared, the younglings stood by the entrance to the ice caves, listening to the instructions of Padawan Leonie as she explained the do’s and don’t’s for the ice caves. Everyone seemed to be paying much more attention to her than they did to Master Yoda during the beggining part of his speech.
“—Oh! And one last thing;” She said. “Once you find your crystals, DO NOT remain inside the caves. As soon as daylight ends, the door will freeze over once again and you WILL be trapped inside
”
As soon as she said that, everyone looked at one another, making sure they all heard the same thing. “Uhh
I have a question?” Tomar announced, raising a hand, instantly catching the padawans attention. “How long would we be trapped for?”
“One rotation.”
It took a moment for the group to process what Leonie had just said, before-
“One rotation???” Everyone called out in unison. One rotation? here?? Their hearts sank just at the thought of it
staying in some old and creepy ice temple on some snow planet for the night???
“Yes. One rotation.” Leonie confirmed. “Now
that’s everything! Wishing you all the best of luck!!” She concluded with a cheery smile and a supportive thumbs up towards the group.
“Huh? wait, but-??” Khad’ started speaking.
“No ‘but’s’! Now go! Hurry before the door starts reforming!” She rushed, her hands doing a ‘shooing’ motion towards them. The group all shot frantic glances at one another before they rushed into the ice caves, finally starting their journey to get their Kyber Crystals.
~
Inside the Ilum temples ice caves, all that could be heard were the footsteps of the Jedi younglings as they moved along, their boots crunching at the snow beneath them, as well as the sound of crackling ice every so often. It was cold. Dark, and almost creepy with all the old frozen-over architecture among the cave walls. It was also kinda hard to walk, the floor was super slippery. Nevertheless, the younglings persisted.
Everyone, for the most part, was quiet, their thoughts mostly caught up on the whole ‘door freezing over’ bit that Leonie talked about and silently hoping to the Force that they find their crystals in time before that happened.
“So
” Tomar started, breaking the long moment of silence and catching everyones attention. “Out of everyone here, who’s more likely to get trapped inside the caves?”. It was typical of Tomar to try and bring some humor or ‘what if’ scenario into a situation, but, it lightened the mood so everyone was welcome to it. Everyone answered with the first person that came to their mind;
“Khad’.” Said Cara.
"[Khad’.]” Said YaupĂ©.
“Khad’.” Said Eyre.
They all looked towards Aras, who signed ‘Khad’’.
“WHAT!! WHY ME??” Khad’ shouted, his voice bouncing across the cave walls.
“Ehh
you just seem like the type to get stuck in an ice cave for a day.” Cara shrugged, a smirk plastered across her face.
Everyone seemed to nod along in agreement to Cara, leaving Khad’ dumbfounded.
“Well— she’s not wrong.” Tomar snickered.
“Shut up!! Kriff you guys!! If I get stuck here I hope you all get stuck here with me!!”
Seeing the twi’lek’s over-the-top reaction made the rest of the younglings howl in laughter, their snorts, snickers and roars echoeing across the cave walls, much to Khad’s annoyance. After walking further into the cave and getting a few more giggles out, the laughter soon vanished as the group approached what seemed to be the caves first obstacle for them. Before them lied three different openings within the cave. Peering into each one, they all seemed to look the exact same; long, dark and icey tunnels that the younglings could only assume lead right into the path to find their crystals. But
there were 6 of them and 3 tunnels. How were they going to go about this?
“Sooooo
what now?” Eyre spoke after a moment of everyone just standing there.
“[Hmm
]” YaupĂ© scratched his chin fur as he thought about what next step they could all take. There were three caves so, naturally, splitting up would be the best option right?Wait
no. No, they can’t split up! They could get lost- HE could get lost or hurt or WORSE!! And to add to that, none of them really knew what dangers they could even face in these caves! The more he thought about it, the more he just didn’t wanna risk it. “[Maybe
 we should try sticking toge-]”
“We should split up!” Khad’ declared. Everyones eyes turned to the twi’lek. “Hear me out! See, there’s six of us and three caves, we can just split up and go into one of em with a partner!” Khad’ explained. “Then BAM! We find our crystals and make our cool and awesome sabers, easy peasy!!”
“That could work!” Cara agreed. Everyone in the group seemed to take a liking to the idea. Which was suprising cause it was a Khad’ idea. But a good one nevertheless. They almost felt bad for clowning on him earlier. Almost. “Heck yeah it will!!” Khad’ babbled eagerly, mostly just happy at the fact that his friends liked an idea of his. “Say, Aras, wanna be my partner?” He asked, nudging the Togruta by the arm. Aras smiled nodding their head ‘yes’ as Khad’ cheered, “Alright!! C’mon!” as he grabbed their hand, pulling them along into the one of the three tunnels in front of them.
“[Wait! But—!”]
“Hey, Eyre, wanna-”
“HECK YEAH!! Let’s go!!” Eyre didn’t even let Tomar finish asking them before they grabbed his arm and practically dragged him into the second cave that was in front of them. “Later losers!!!” Eyre’s voice called out, their voice echoeing through the caves walls. “Hey!! Waitwaitwaitwait!!!, slow down!!” Echoed Tomar’s voice behind them, going further and further into the tunnel, away from Cara and YaupĂ©.
Yaupé could only make a low grunting sound as he watched what just unfolded in front of him.
“Well
” Cara began, “Can’t blame ya for trying to keep everyone together.” She snickered. YaupĂ© couldn’t help but snicker along with her. Cara’s energy was just contagious like that.
“Sooo
any chance you wanna be my partner? By default?” She asked.
“[Hmm
]” YaupĂ© pretended to think, putting a hand to his chin. “[Ehh
I dunno if you’re cool enough to be my partner
]”
Cara fake-scoffed, playfully hitting YaupĂ© on the arm, “Shut up!” She chuckled, immedietly making the both of them giggle.
“We should get going—I wanna get my crystal before they do!” Cara half-joked, tapping at the wookiee.
“[Mm!]” YaupĂ© nodded with a newfound spark of confidence. With Cara by his side, he knew that the two of them could get through anything this cave had to throw at them! And with that, and a quick “C’mon!” from Cara, the two started into the third and last tunnel in front of them.

Not Sinking
Pairing: Anakin x Reader
Request: Anakin and reader are on a mission near a lake and the reader lets slip that she doesn’t know how to swim so Anakin devises a plan to teach her and its fluffy and sweet.
Warnings: None
Word count: 3k
A/N: As usual some minor changes but its basically just super cute fluff of Anakin teaching the reader to swim so I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Alright tell me
” You hummed softly as you mused what your next question should be, your eyes wondering aimlessly around the stars of the sky above, your hand digging in and out of the soft grass beneath you without any true purpose behind it. A rare moment where it was calm, there was nothing to do, just you and Anakin lying in the grass looking at the sky above, oh how you relished times like this “if you could’ve picked your lightsaber color what would you have picked?”
You heard him laugh softly at your question from his beside you, his hand occasionally innocently bumping into your own as it dug through the grass as well “Blue of course”
“Hmmmm nope I don’t believe that” you shook your head though you knew he wouldn’t see it, his eyes planted on the sky above just as yours were “I want a real answer”
Anakin was silent for a moment, the world still for a brief second before his answer broke it “I liked that my saber matched Obi-wan’s as a kid ya know, felt proud to follow in his footsteps” a more serious tone laced his voice when a spoke, a tone that really only seemed to come out when you talked like this, a tone you had found deep comfort in over the years.
“But..” You prompted softly with a smile, turning your head to look at him next to you only to see he was already staring back at you, a soft smile breaking out on his face as your eyes met.
“But I always kind of wanted a green lightsaber” He admitted quietly, a brief moment passing between the two of you before he turned his head back up to face the sky, you following suit moments after.
“For Qui-Gon?” You asked.
Anakin was silent for a moment again, his hand stilling in the grass coming to rest just beside yours, the skin on the back of it resting softly against your own “Even if I had only known him for a brief period, I owe everything to him, it’s hard not to look up to somebody like that”
You couldn’t help but smile at his words, nudging the back of his hand softly with your own, neither of you daring to take the action any further, your eyes breaking from the stars to find his again “For the record I think Qui-Gon would be proud of your progress as a jedi”
Anakin didn’t respond to that at first, another silence falling briefly over the two of you before his voice at almost a whisper broke it “I hope so”
The two of you turned then to just watching the stars above, your eyes instinctively jumping to find patterns in them, concentration breaking when Anakin spoke up again “Ok my turn”
You chuckled softly at his eagerness, closing your eyes briefly “okay I’m ready fire away”
“Tell me something you’ve never told anyone before” You could hear the mischievous tone in his voice poking out making you laugh louder.
“Trying to steal my secrets Skywalker?”
“Is it really stealing if I’m asking for them?” he mused with a grin you could hear in his voice.
“I supposed not” you conceded, mind already racing with how you could answer, trying to balance on that edge between personal enough to satisfy him but impersonal enough you weren’t giving away anything you didn’t want him to know. “Hmmmm have I ever told you that I’m secretly married?”
“Oh is that so” he couldn’t keep the chuckle from his voice as he responded.
“Yup whole secret family on Naboo, don’t tell anyone”
“Hmmmm yeah no I don’t believe that”
“Rude” you cried out in mock hurt “I could have a secret family”
“Sure you could” he laughed back “Now come on something real”
“Alright alright” you sighed dramatically “hmmmm I never learned to swim?”
You could practically feel Anakin go still next to you, your head snapping to his form in confusion only to see him already staring back at you with wide eyes. “What?”
“I-uh- never learned to swim” you repeated yourself, stunned by the dramatic reaction to what you saw as no more than a minor inconvenience.
“How?” He asked, apparently no longer capable of more than one word questions, sitting up suddenly and turning to face you.
“I don’t know?” You shot back slowly with a raised brow “It just never happened”
“So wait what happens when you’re sent on a mission to Castilon or something underwater?” he asked earnestly making you shake your head in amusement.
“I dunno it hasn’t happened yet” you shrugged “I guess I’d figure it out”
“Figure it out” Anakin repeated with a laugh and a raised brow.
“I mean it’s either that or drown and personally I’d prefer the former”
“Unacceptable” Anakin scoffed with a dramatic eye roll.
“It’s fine” you laughed back at him “It’s not that big of a deal”
“It’s unacceptable” he repeated “and I’m going to teach you tomorrow”
“You’re what?” You laughed in disbelief.
“Yup” he nodded back with a smug smile “I’m going to teach you to swim”
“Ani you really don’t have to-“
“no” Anakin cut you off quickly with a raised hand “it’s too late I’ve made up my mind you’re learning to swim” and with that he laid back down in the grass, as if that would end the conversation.
“Is that so?” You asked him with a raised brow, watching as Anakin pointedly closed his eyes and ignored you. “You think that whatever you state if fact? That I will just do whatever you say?” Again silence.
With a soft grown you got up to your feet and hovered over him, watching the smug grin only grow as you did so “Anakin Skywalker are you ignoring me?”
“Me?” He asked innocently, eyes finally popping open to look up at you “Never”
And before you could respond his arms came out to your shoulders, pulling you into his chest with a shriek.
“Anakin what-“ But you didn’t get anymore out before you felt it, his fingers quickly dancing over all the right spots on your skin.
You yelped just as Anakin started to laugh, holding you close against him as he tickled you, any of your efforts to get away spent in vain.
“No stop” you begged desperately through your laughter, Anakin finally slowing his assault though still holding you close to him, you could feel his chest rise and fall with each deep breath before he spoke, his voice mere inches from your ear “Agree to the swim lesson and I’ll stop”
“mmmmmm” you hummed, pretending to mull it over for a second before his fingers slowly started to move again, a shriek ripping past your lips before you were nodding furiously “okay okay you can teach me to swim”
With a laugh Anakin finally stopped, freezing for a brief moment before he finally let you go, scrambling to his feet before offering you a hand to help you to yours, both of you ignoring the way he clung onto your hand for longer than necessary once you were up.
“It’ll be fun” he promised you with a grin as you started to walk back to the senator’s palace, Anakin’s shoulder bumping softly into yours occasionally as you walked.
“Oh yeah” you chuckled “I’m definitely not already regretting this”
-
You rested on the rocky edge of the lake’s shore, siting with your feet over the edge dangling in the water. You had to admit, from this position the water didn’t seem too bad.
“You ever planning on getting in?” A teasing tone boke through the peace making you sigh, eyes glancing up to catch Anakin standing in the water, a smug smile on his face as he looked up at you.
“Mmmm I dunno I’m enjoying my time up here” You mused with a hum, giving your feet a small kick splashing water in Anakin’s direction.
“I have a feeling that you’ll enjoy your time even more down here” he countered, letting his elbows rest on the rock beside you.
“Oh and why is that?” You asked with a raised brow.
“Because I’m down here” he answered simply, as if it were obvious eliciting a small laugh from you, Anakin doing as he always does, effortlessly quelling your every worry.
“Awfully full of yourself there Skywalker”
“So I’ve been told” he shrugged with a wink that had your heart racing, offering a hand up to you.
With a small roll of your eyes you shrugged off the cloak you had wrapped around yourself and grabbed Anakin’s hand, not missing the way it seemed to go limp beneath your touch, your gaze finding his as it slowly roamed over you, a slight part to his lips that had a deep red blush climbing up your cheeks.
“And how do I know this all wasn’t an elaborate ploy to see me in a bathing suit?” You teased, gripping his hand as you finally pushed yourself off the rock and into the water.
“What can’t a guy have two motives?” he shot back quickly, a smug grin on his face as he held onto your hand even after you had finally entered the water, his arm pulling you softly closer to him in the process of jumping in, his eyes now quickly jumping back and forth between your own, a quick glance down at your lips, the two of you trapped in this moment.
“Well-uh-looks like I can touch over here” you stuttered the words out, breaking the trance prompting Anakin to drop your hand finally, cautiously taking a step back from you while he cleared his throat.
“Uh-yeah figured we’d start somewhere safe” He chuckled almost awkwardly, arms coming to cross protectively over his chest “So how are you at floating?”
“Oh I’m great at it” you nodded enthusiastically, letting your fingers skim over the waters surface around you as you spoke “I can hit the bottom of a lake faster than anyone else”
Anakin laughed at that, his posture relaxing slightly as he did so, seemingly feeling more at ease now that the tension had been broken “that would in fact be the opposite of floating”
“Well would you look at that already learning something new” you shook your head lightly “I’d say we did good today lets pick up where we left off tomorrow”
“Nice try” Anakin laughed, reaching out to grab your wrist as if to stop you though you had made no move to leave “now come here”
As he tugged softly on your wrist you let yourself be pulled in front of him, one of his hands immediately coming to the small of your back “Now kick your legs up and try and float on your back”
“Uhmmm we’ve been over the whole sink like a rock thing already right?” You tried to laugh your way through it, worried eyes coming up to meet his.
“Don’t worry I’ve got you” he assured you softly, hand pressing slightly harder into your back, reminding you it was there “just jump up and I’ll catch you”
“Okay” you sighed out, hand automatically coming out to rest on Anakin’s shoulder though he didn’t seem to mind, instead nodding at you encouragingly. “Here we go” you whispered more to yourself than him before you jumped up and into Anakin’s chest, arms snaking around his neck without a second thought, clinging onto him desperately as his arms immediately went around your knees and back, cradling you into him with a small laugh.
“See I’ve got you” He assured you softly, knees slowly bending as he sank the two of you deeper and deeper into the water “Now take a deep breath and straighten out your body”
Nodding softly into his chest you slowly unwound your arms from his neck, straightening your back and legs out so you were horizontal on the waters surface, nothing holding you up but Anakin’s hands at your back and legs.
“Now see this is floating” Anakin chuckled, his touch slowly growing lighter by the second as the water started to inch up the sides of your face and neck, crawling almost uncomfortably close to your nose.
“I’m not sure it counts if you’re holding me up” you shot back, forcing deep breaths trying to calm yourself as you focused on the sensation of floating, feeling your body move with every minor change in current.
“Nah you’re basically doing all the work on your own” he shook his head, smiling down at you “in fact-“ you felt his hand withdraw from the back of your legs, Anakin raising it above the water to show you with a small wave “see all you”
“mmm sure” you hummed back doubtfully, dragging your eyes away from him up to the sky, finding an odd sense of serenity in floating this way.
“Close your eyes” Anakin chuckled, you quickly following his instruction, letting your lids fall closed.
“Good, deep breath” he all but whispered and again you did as he said, giving yourself a moment to feel your suspension in the water, the soft current running around you, the wind tickling the end of your nose softly, the sun warming your face.
“Hey Y/N” Anakin prompted, you opening your eyes to see a very familiar smug grin “Look no hands” he chanted as he held up both of his hands to your vision.
And immediately the panic was there again as you felt the sudden loss of contact between his hand and your back. The loss of support reverberating through you as you suddenly felt yourself start to sink, the water level climbing up your neck and quickly filling your mouth stealing your ability to cry out for help.
Your arms flailed helplessly around you as your head sunk farther below, your feet attempting to kick uselessly, when you felt strong hands grab you from under your arms, pulling your head back above the waters surface.
Desperately you gulped for air, spitting out the water you had held in your mouth as you managed to get your feet under you, pushing Anakin’s arms off of you once you were able to stand.
“Alright you weren’t kidding about sinking like a stone” you could hear the hint of a chuckle in his tone sending a spike of frustration through you.
“Yeah no kidding” you spat back, crossing your arms over your chest “And now that we’ve tried this I’m done”
“hold on hold on” Anakin reached out for your hand once again, pinning you in place “we’ve barely done anything yet”
“I just almost drowned!” You exclaimed, pulling your arm back from him.
“And now we know that floating isn’t your thing!” he exclaimed back with a small smile “come on we’ll work on treading water next, no floating involved in that”
You eyed him skeptically back in response, finding yourself as usual unable to deny him when he sent those puppy dog eyes your way. “fine”
He grinned at that, reaching out to grab your hand again “Good, we’ll have to go out deeper to do that”
“Ani-“ you whined, still letting yourself be pulled regardless.
“It’ll be fun!”
He dragged you out to a point where the water reached the base of your neck when you stood on your toes, never once letting go of your hand, a physical reminder that he was here and he had your back.
“Okay here’s what you’re going to do” he instructed you slowly, explaining exactly how to kick your legs and circle your arms to keep your head afloat, “and remember I’m right here at the slightest sign of trouble”
And even despite what had just happened when you tried to float on your own you trusted him, giving him a small nod before bringing your feet up off the floor and kicking just as he had showed you, circling your arms just under the water’s surface.
And to your surprise, your head stayed afloat! The kicking was a lot more work than you had expected but you were doing it, you were actually swimming, not sinking like usual.
“Ani! Ani! Look!” You exclaimed in excitement, looking down at your legs as the kicked beneath you, your head swaying back and forth slightly with the effort.
“You’re doing it!” he exclaimed back with the same level of excitement, laughing slightly as his said it “you’re swimming!”
“I’m swimming” you laughed back in shock, still unable to fully believe that it was that easy, that this was all it took to keep your head above water. “Holy shit I’m swimming”
And before you could think better of it you dropped your feet back down to touch the ground on your toes, using it to push off and launch yourself at Anakin, wrapping your arms eagerly around his neck.
Anakin to his credit didn’t hesitate before wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you into him with a soft swirl, chuckling loudly as you squealed.
He spun you around in a circle before setting you down, arms staying on your waist still as you planted your feet back on the ground, your arms staying around his neck in response, enjoying the brief moment of shared excitement and closeness before you forced yourself to let go, to take a step back, to take a breath.
“I can’t believe I did that” You exhaled, raking a hand through your wet hair as you grinned up at him.
“Told you you could do it” He responded with a shrug, as if he had never doubted it for a second.
“It’s more work than I thought it would be” you admitted “that actually kind of tired me out”
“It makes for good exercise” Anakin agreed with a nod “just wait till we get to swimming laps”
“Oh no thank you” you shook your head, already backing up back towards the rocky edge the held your cloak “I held up my end of the deal, I learned to swim”
At this Anakin laughed, diving forward before you could react, wrapping arms around your waist to keep you in place “nice try but you learned how to not drown, not swim. Now we learn the breaststroke”

"Daddy Feri", part 9
My sketch fanfic for @reconstructwriter and @la-sopa who inspired me to continue this long, dark story, and for everyone who loves "Vader/Ferus" (later Anakin/Ferus)
Warnings: rapes, cruelty, torture
The harsh, majestic fortress made of obsidian alloy, stood alone on a gray-green plateau in the midst of the poisonous nature of the planet Vjun. Frequent acid rains washed the high towers of the fortress without causing harm.
“The worthy bulwark for the last scoundrel.” Ferus Olin thought.
The Jedi no longer knew if he was dreaming or if he was seeing Bast Castle in his head, because his child was being held captive there and he was constantly thinking about this place.  But he came to himself already in a familiar cell on the Bast, awakened by the squeak of medical devices.
The power was with him, brighter than before. Ferus could feel Leia's presence, she was not far away. This made him get out of bed.
He was finally able to wash off the disgusting stench that had grown into his skin during the few weeks he had been a prisoner on the Destroyer. He thought about his child. The Jedi fully felt the feeling of oppression and fear, and it intensified when it occurred to him that Vader would not let him see Leia.
The doors opened and Darth Vader entered the medical room. Without warning, the Sith threw the prisoner a lightsaber. Ferus caught it only by reflex, and Vader immediately activated his lightsaber. The battle began. It was difficult for the Jedi to fight, his reflexes were inhibited, any sudden movement hurt him, and his coordination left much to be desired. He deflected several of Vader's attacks, and even made a couple of lunges in response, but he realized that the Sith was only playing with him. Vader didn't even put his whole body in a defensive stance. He deftly blocked Ferus's strikes with his lightsaber, moving only his hand, so lightly and casually, as if Ferus's attacks were ridiculous.  Vader left his body open to attack, as if he was sure that the Jedi would not even be able to touch him with a lightsaber in any case. And Olin soon realized that it was justified. The Jedi was amazed by the skill of the Sith, he had never met such a skilled opponent in his life.
This duel ended very quickly. Ferus ended up on the floor defeated, and his lightsaber flew into Vader's palm, deactivated in flight.
“It was so predictable.” Vader said, summing up this short battle, “The Dark Side of the Force is superior to the Jedi in everything. None of you can fight or hold a punch. You don't understand anything about the mastery of Force. And you're exactly the same, you pathetic nonentity.”
“I'm not impressed by your bragging rights.” Ferus looked up at Vader with a look full of dislike. He got to his feet carefully and slowly. Yes, it was easy for Vader to talk about the superiority of the Dark Side, especially when you meanly stab in the back, “You can show off your skills in front of a bunch of imperial hangers-on and other bastards who joined the Empire to snatch a piece of the wealth captured by the Emperor. And maybe they worship you as a deity just to strengthen their position. But you're really ignorant. You're slandering the Jedi because you don't know anything about the Jedi or the Order at all. And you, as well as your Master, do not know the true nature of the Force.”
“I know everything about the Jedi!” A wave of anger was rising in Darth Vader, “I know all about your filthy Jedi Order! And you, like any Jedi, are just an arrogant son of a bitch...”
Even the possibility of such an argument seemed extremely ridiculous, but it was happening. Was this fool really going to argue with him under such circumstances?
“It is very arrogant of someone who accuses me of arrogance to claim that you know everything about the Jedi. You're a Sith. What does someone like you know about the Jedi way? About their code, about their Order? I, like many others, once served the Jedi Order, honored their code, and I was never an arrogant scum. Because none of us are like you think, and I'm not like that! You don't know me.”
“On the contrary,” Vader said, “I know you.”
There was something wrong with those words. The Jedi had a strange, intuitive feeling of something long forgotten, but he could not grasp it in order to analyze and recognize it. And he ignored it. He was too worried about reality right now, not something ephemeral and barely perceptible.
Vader was circling around him like a predator circling its prey. And that made Ferus nervous.
“You are a lying and cowardly hypocrite.“ Vader continued, "like any arrogant moralist, you are just a fool with your poor principles and ideals that you have invented for yourself and believed in them. And you're just like most of the Jedi whose honor you so zealously defend. But none of that matters, because all your precious Jedi have been dead for a long time. So let's get back to the present moment.”
The Sith slowly walked over and tossed the deactivated lightsaber, but the Jedi knew that he could attack him. To attack even though the enemy could hardly stand on his feet.
“Tell me something, Jedi bastard, you want to see Leia, don't you?” Vader was looking at him intently. Olin saw that the Sith was provoking him and he decided not to give in, so he did not answer, waiting for the continuation. As expected, Vader immediately lost his patience, and without waiting for the Jedi's answer, he continued, "You see, for this to happen, you will have to convince me of this.”
“Your blackmail won't work with me.” Ferus replied sharply. There was a very unpleasant feeling in his chest the moment Vader mentioned Leia.
Vader sensed that the bastard was beginning to forget who he was here, and the Sith was ready to remind him.
“So, bitch, now,” Vader stopped circling him. He froze, demonstrating his superiority, looked at his opponent point-blank and, not holding back from pleasure, grinned mockingly, “You will serve me, as a sex slave should.”
“You will not wait for this.” the Jedi knew he wouldn't let that happen.
“Really? We were just talking about the arrogance of the Jedi, which you prefer to turn a blind eye to. Do you know what I see when I look at you? The proud, arrogant idiot. But all your pride and arrogance will be shattered by one single circumstance. Think about Leia. She was so looking forward to ‘Daddy Feri’. And this meeting may not take place at all. But it all depends on you. You should be a grateful and obedient slave. Otherwise, I'll have to tell her that you're gone and give her a little box of soot as a keepsake.”
Olin somehow realized that Vader was lying to him. Most likely, the freak had already acted out this scene in front of Leia while he was unconscious. The pain of it was unbearable. This dirty bastard was crippling his child's psyche, and he talked about it with such mockery.
“You forgot to mention the most important thing. Do you know what I see, Sith, when I look at you? The dumb, envious and cruel son of a bitch. It's not news to me that you're hurting others because you can't handle your own. But you just gave yourself away. You're jealous of me. ‘She was so looking forward to ‘Daddy Feri’.’ Did you say that? She was waiting for me, not for you. She doesn't give a damn about you. She doesn't even care that you were a sperm donor for her birth. And you're making a child suffer because of your stinking envy. And you even get joy out of it, forcing yourself to forget that it was your child. So which one of us is a pathetic nonentity?”
Rage clouded Vader's gaze, he barely restrained himself from immediately attacking the prisoner with blows. No. The words of this piece of shit won't piss him off. He tried to pull himself together.
“Remember, Jedi bastard, everyone calls me ‘My Lord.’ ”
“Everyone can call you whatever they want, even 'My precious boy,' but I won't. ”
“That's enough verbiage for today,” Vader said harshly, “especially from idiots.”
Before a hail of blows rained down on the Jedi, Vader used the Force to force him into the opposite wall and hit it. After that, he pulled him in like a puppet and started beating him.
“You stinky whore! You're only going to open your mouth to suck my dick, you dumb bastard!” Vader accompanied his words with punches to the ribs. The screams of pain and pitiful sobs were especially pleasant and it quickly cooled his anger. Vader stopped for a short break. Never mind, soon the son of a bitch will be whimpering and screaming even more on the floor when he rapes him.
Vader took a cursory, appraising look at his body. Even with the blooming bruises on his torso, the muscles of this man's abs looked perfect, just like he was all too regular and perfect. Vader had half of the insides of his abdomen artificial, the upper flesh was synthetic, and there were several wide holes on his stomach, covered with metal lids. The Sith stood close to the Jedi lying on the floor.
“Don't keep me waiting, slave. Serve your Master.” Vader kicked him in the stomach.
“You won't wait. Fuck yourself, Vader.”
He didn't like this challenge from the Jedi. It was as if Olin was learning not to be afraid of him. So it is necessary to accustom him to uncontrollable animal fear again. Vader decided to set up a torture chamber for him right here to show how much he appreciates his opinion.
A surgical knife flew into Vader's hand, the Jedi's body flew into the air, as if he had been lifted by the collar, his feet did not touch the floor, and Vader slashed the knife across the Jedi's stomach. Not deep enough for this incision to rip open his guts, but strong enough to cut his abdominal muscles.
The Jedi wanted to scream, but the Sith stifled his scream by squeezing his throat with a chokehold.
“It's unpleasant, right?” Vader cut him in the stomach again, making a second long incision.
The Jedi squeezed his eyes shut in horror as Vader pulled back his arm to swing.
“Shall we try again?” And Vader, with a deft movement of his hand, made another incision, longitudinal, long, stretching right up to the groin area. The Jedi made a gurgling, wheezing sound that should have been a scream, but Vader squeezed his throat again, preventing him from screaming.
“It's just a metal that neatly cuts through your flesh, but I could just as easily disembowel you.” Vader dropped the knife and roughly lowered the prisoner to the floor. The Jedi bent over and looked at his wounds in shock. Starting from his stomach and below, his body slowly turned dark scarlet, he had never seen so much blood from his wounds before. Ferus lightly touched his wounds and his hands also turned dark scarlet.
“It's high time you learned to know your place.” Vader knew how the Jedi would beg for forgiveness.
He took off a piece of armor covering his groin area and bared his thick cock.
“Obey, slave! Kneel in front of me and take my cock in your mouth.” Vader ordered.
Ferus looked up from his wounds. He saw that the Sith was already in a state of anticipation of pleasure, but the Jedi found the strength to rudely break off the vile desire of the enemy.
“Damn you, Sith! Let your bastard emperor suck your dick.” He said with disgust.
The thought that Vader wanted to force him to suck his stinky ugly dick made him furious. In an attempt to protect himself, the Jedi tried to hit Vader, but of course it failed. The Sith easily blocked his blow.
“It was stupid, as always.” Vader responded by slapping the Jedi across the cheek and throwing him off, pushing him to the floor.
“On your knees, slave!” Vader gave the order, his voice becoming harsh and merciless. He towered over him imperiously.
“No...!” The wheeze froze in the Jedi's throat, and he could no longer say anything, only make hoarse sounds. An invisible stranglehold squeezed his throat and pulled him up until his knees touched the floor. After that, the stranglehold intensified. The Jedi opened his mouth, trying to get some air.
“You can't go anywhere, buddy. You are my sex slave.” Vader moved closer to the Jedi, and shoved his dick into the mouth of the gasping prisoner.
“Suck my dick, Jedi. Or I'll strangle you right now.” Vader raped him in the mouth, roughly pushing his dick down his throat. The Jedi struggled, but Vader did not loosen his grip, and continued to impale him on his dick.
“Suck my dick, slave! This is my order!” Vader was really excited about his power.
But the prisoner still tried to bite and pull away with the last of his strength. Then Vader inserted his metal fingers into the Jedi's mouth to prevent him from closing his jaw.
“Suck it, slave!” Vader barked again.
He roughly fucked the Jedi in the mouth until he finished the sexual act. And only then did he release the grip.
Such a substitute for oral sex did not bring much pleasure to Vader. But still, it was incredibly pleasant to make the prisoner kneel while he raped him in his mouth.
The Jedi was spitting and coughing on the floor. He was trembling, and spasms rolled down his throat due to the gag reflex. And his wounds on his stomach were terribly painful.
“You're a useless jerk,” Vader said, “but I'll teach you to be a diligent slave before you die.”
Ferus looked at his tormentor with undisguised anger.
“Someday you will die,” the Jedi croaked through spasms in his throat and spitting, “and no one will cry for you.”
Vader looked down at the Jedi lying at his feet. He grabbed him by the throat, forcing him to lift his face up.
“You think you're strong enough to stand up to me, but you're not,“ Vader leaned over him, "Believe me, it won't take me long to teach you once and for all to be a submissive, respectful slave who is ready to kneel down and serve his master at the first hint.”
“You still don't understand, Sith. You're going to have to kill me.” Ferus was squinting in pain, blood from the cut flesh on his stomach had already stained the floor.
“I'll do it as soon as I get tired of you. But your death will not be easy and quick. I'll cut off your arms and legs and hang you by the stumps. And you will hang on chains until you die from excess pain. If you don't care about yourself, take pity on Leia, spare her such a disgusting sight.”
The thought of Leia's torment raised a cold anger in the Jedi. The flow of directed Force helped him catch his concentration for a moment to try to land a blow on Vader's jaw. But the Sith intercepted his arm, quickly twisted it behind his back, and pulled hard up to break the shoulder joint of the enemy. A hoarse scream cut through the emptiness of the room.
“I warned you.” Vader disdainfully pushed the wounded, beaten Jedi away from him. The enemy fell to the floor, now he could only howl in pain.
At Vader's call, three droids entered the cell.
“This sex slave does not want to obey. Punish him properly.” Sith ordered. And the battle droids pinned the Jedi in a grip to carry out educational work on him.
“That's right, slaves should be flogged regularly.” Vader thought with satisfaction.
Vader did not listen to his painful moans and screams and left the cell.
**
Even before Olin woke up, Vader gave Leia a little test. As a result, he learned what he wanted to know. Something he was already sure of. Leia has a good potential for Force sensitivity, she just categorically does not want to develop her abilities.
Ashes scattered across his armor, and Vader realized that she was capable enough to realize that her precious father was alive, and even nearby. This was good news for him. The bad news was that after she threw a box of ashes at him, which Vader handed to her with the words, “You disappointed me. Here you go, it's your daddy” and screamed hysterically that he was a liar, he didn't want to see her anymore. Generally.
And he locked her in a room alone. Of course, he was not moved by her tears, nor by her childish cries that she needed to see her dad.
Since Vader left, Leia has been crying alone for a long time. All she needed right now was to see her dad and make sure he was okay. But the black-armored monster wouldn't let her near him, she knew that.
She knew that the monster was merciless.
She thought the monster was bullying Daddy because of her. The monster needs her Forces abilities for something. And then she realized that if she did not cut off these abilities from herself, then grief would happen to dad.
**
Ferus never for a moment forgot about the most important thing – about his child.
But there was no way he could protect her while he was torn away from her, while he was so wounded. And Ferus assumed that this was just the beginning. When Vader realizes that the quest for obedience education has failed, he will begin to harm Leia. Olin had no doubt that Vader could have committed any incredible heinousness. For example, Vader could have raped him in front of Leia. Or cut him up, or whatever... and make her look at it.
In general, he was sure that no matter how Vader behaved in the future, he would be cruel not only to him, but also to Leia.
And in any event, every option would be terrible for Leia.
Except maybe one. If he was dead, Vader would have no reason to torment Leia.
But then Leia won't have a living father anymore.
It's unfortunate. But which is better? She needs a living father, but a morally broken man who became a slave to Darth Vader? No.
Tears were dripping from his face to the floor, and they were tears not only from pain, but also from despair. He won't have a way out. That's how it's going to happen. His end will come. Inescapable, ruthless.
Even so, he won't die a slave. He could provoke Vader to kill him quickly, or the Force would help him in this.
Ferus called Leia by their connection in the Force, looking for her in the fortress space. He still didn't know how he could even say goodbye to her. How could he say “goodbye forever”?
**
Vader was thinking about Olin. For some reason, the Sith felt a deep abomination and shame for everything he had recently done. But he crushed and trampled on this feeling.
No. He is proud of what he has done.
From the datadap, the Sith sent orders about the Jedi. He ordered urgent help to be given to him, to sew up the wounds on his stomach, and to administer medicines that were supposed to bring him back to consciousness and prevent him from losing consciousness again.
Vader didn't like to wait, but he couldn't rush into action right now. There's still a little more pressure on the Jedi. But it is not enough just to crush the will of a Jedi, it is necessary that he himself go against his personal principles and destroy his own filthy, false ideals.
This asshole spent his entire youth posing as a celestial, a kind of crown prince, who by the will of fate turned out to be an apprentice in the Jedi Temple. But Vader will crush and destroy this illusion of the pure, noble knight, which Olin invented for himself and believed in.
This asshole will surrender to him voluntarily. And then he will become a submissive slave and an obedient whore.
Vader didn't think about what he would do if that didn't happen. Is he capable of making Leia suffer? He didn't know. But he felt that something global in his attitude towards Leia had already changed. He was gradually letting her go from him.
And it was at that moment that he felt that something had happened to Leia. He rushed into the room where he kept her locked up, but it was too late.
The baby was sitting on the floor, still crying, with red eyes and a scared, unhappy face. Through her sobs, she was still calling for Dad. She became almost invisible in the Force again. And Vader realized with amazement what had happened. This little girl managed to cut herself off from the Force.
Her potential for Force, which had been so bright not so long ago, was gone. It was as if she had become an ordinary child, without sensitivity to the Force.
Damn Ferus Olin. It's all his damn influence! It's his fault!
But it wasn't just anger that filled him. He was much more deeply disappointed. The disappointment of all the interaction with Leia. He realized that in all the time they had been talking, she had never taken a single step towards him. And at that moment, Vader's anger went away, and a calm confidence came to this place.
He had never really needed her. Leia is a part of Skywalker. And that's an insignificant part.
Vader left Leia. He had given up all thoughts of her.
He appeared on the threshold of the medical ward in which he ordered Olin to be held, and motioned for the medical droids to stop.
"Tell me, slave," Vader approached the surgical table, "do you want to lie on the floor like a rag again and howl in pain?"
“This technique is not new.” the Jedi replied in a voice broken by screams, “torment, delay, torment, delay. And so on until the prisoner voluntarily wants to avoid it.”
Vader realized that he himself had just violated the most basic interrogation tactics. This was the most basic thing that should not be done with stubborn people. He had to wait for the prisoner to speak first, start screaming, sobbing, and finally beg for mercy. And only after that, ask, "are you ready, slave, to beg forgiveness for everything?" He had to act this way, he couldn't restrain himself. It was necessary for him to talk to him before beatings and rapes, he thus felt especially acutely his superiority over his former rival.
But whatever the Jedi was thinking right now, he clearly wasn't going to be complaisant.
Vader was annoyed by this insubordination. He felt like the violence had reached a dead end, and the more he raped, the more he wanted sex. But it didn't give him anything substantial. It did not cover some important need of his, which prevented him from fully feeling satisfied.
He knew the Jedi was already on edge, but he didn't care about the pain of others. So Vader fucked him in the ass, spitting on his sobs and muttering "no...", "don't...".
After that, he allowed the droids to continue medical procedures with the patient who had just received new wounds.
Vader returned to his private quarters and immersed himself in the Bacta tank for many hours. He thought for a long time, eventually he came to the conclusion that the reason for his frequent bad mood, outbursts of anger and a desire to kill everyone around was the disgusting state of health of his body, or rather what was left of his body after Mustafar.
From the useless reflections that went around in circles, he fell into a long, sound sleep. He was woken up by a beep announcing that an urgent call had been received from the Emperor.
As soon as he woke up, he gestured to the manipulators, which pulled him out of the Bacta tank. As soon as Vader had his prosthetics fixed, he immediately accepted the challenge without getting dressed and a full-length holographic projection of the Emperor appeared in front of him. A wide triumphant smile blossomed on the ugly, wrinkled face of the old Sith.
"So how's the little girl, Skywalker's daughter, doing?" Palpatine asked.
